My first visit to the salon was disappointing. I have long thick course curly hair. It is alwsys deficult to find someone that knows how to cut and color my hair. I had both done when I went. The reason I only gave two stars is because I was pleased with the cut but not the color. The color was lighter than I generly have and it did not completly cover my gray. I pointed it out to the stylist before I left and her response was that we would do the color dufferently next time. I felt that I should of not got that kind of response to my complaint. I also made a point when I sat in the chair to show pictures of me and how my hair generly looks. I wad also charged 100.00 more than I was told when I made the appointment. I made a point to find out what I would be charged with a full color with highlights and cut and style. I told her my hair type was long and and thick with curl. The women that made my appointment was unsure she said what the charge woukd be because she was new. I then asked if she could please find out before I secured my appointment She then went and spoke to the stylist and came back and gave the price to me that I thought was reasonalble. She give me a base price and said it would be an addional 10.00 for each additonal bowl of color that was used. I was happy with the price It was the price that I had paid at other salons. I was shocked to find it to be a 100.00 more than what I was told over the phone. I would not guess my hair took 10 addtional bowls to make up the addtional 100.00 that I was charged. I would reccomend the stylist to give a price to there clients prior to the service, exspecially when it is more than what was orriginally said to the client. Brenda

I can’t speak to the quality of their styles and skills, but I can review their professionalism while trying to schedule an appointment. From the time I first got an appointment, there were issues. They called me the next day (when my appt was supposed to be) and asked to confirm my appointment on the following day...when I was told the day before that my appointment was the following day. Then, an hour before my second scheduled appointment time they called me and asked me to move my appointment to the next day because the person who scheduled me was brand new and only put me down for a 30 minute time slot and they could not accommodate what services I asked for. It was not worth it to me to go through with an appointment here while I couldn’t even trust that I would get service when I was told and that I would possibly be with a brand new, inexperienced stylist. They did offer a discount, but I was worried that would be to make up for a Lack of experience. Also, for prospective customers who have thicker, more textured hair, almost all of the pictures I could find of past clients were only of people with thin blonde hair.

Horrible horrible experience. I am out of state and was recommended this place. Needed to get my hair bleached/ have my blonde blended in more with my root color. I had given the lady a reference picture of what hair I wanted/ have had before done on my hair so I knew that it would have been possible on my hair ... I was reassured that she can do it and that she is really good at doing blondes and that I have nothing to worry about..... but boy was I in for a surprise... the lady was more interested in telling me how dry my ends were and how they need to be cut (even tho I had also scheduled for a trim) she was pulling and riping my hair while drying it and took way to long on everything making me late for a different appointment (because she got to my appointment 45min late ) and when she was done I looked like a zebra to say I was upset was the biggest understatement ever . I would not recommend this place one bit.. ( first picture is what I was left with the second one is what I had wanted/ have had)

I tried this salon with no referrals, just picked one close by. I was blessed to be appointed to Maria Fodero! My hair was a real mess-lots of different colors from the past stylist who didn't know what she was doing and in very damaged shape. Maria told me that she could fix it but that it would take time as she had to do 3 processes at the same time...I honestly thought, "here we go again; wonder what this is going to look like." Was I ever surprised! She took such good care of me! She even called two appointments to move them back an hour to have enough time to fix my hair...and she worked non-stop for 5 straight hours...and when she finished, I cried. First time I ever cried "happy tears" over my hair. Lots of "sad tears" but never happy. It was restored to a healthy luster and the color is exactly what I've wanted but couldn't seem to get several other stylists to understand. Maria is an extremely talented professional and she is a very kind and caring person. You can't go wrong with her.

Maria deliberately ruined my hair. I had long hair to about mid back an asked for a trim even showing her exactly about a half inch. She positioned the chair so I could not see what she was doing and I saw small snips of hair falling. I felt that it was taking a long time to trim and do some layers. While she was working she talked nonstop and even made anti Semitic comments that I found highly offensive. When she was done she turned the chair around facing the mirror. I was horrified to see that my hair was not trimmed but cut to shoulder length and layers were even shorter and sticking out. It looked hideous. I was shocked and traumatized. I was so embarrassed that I didn't want to be seen in public and canceled several social events. I am telling my friends not to go to this salon and about my experience. It seemed that she got some kind of sick pleasure in hurting me and destroying my hair.

My hairdresser that I had for over 12 years couldn’t fit me in last minute and I had to get my hair done for my sons wedding so I had to try somewhere else. I called multiple places who were all booked up but The Hair Gallery had a cancellation and fit me in last minute with Maria. I didn’t realize that was going to be one of the best things that ever happened to me. Maria is by far the best hairdresser I’ve ever had! She cut and colored my hair EXACTLY how I wanted it. I had been trying to get my (now ex) hairdresser to do it this way for years and she just didn’t have the knowledge that Maria has to be able to. I highly recommend this hair salon and Maria in particular. This is now my home salon.

Recently got a hair cut here; amidst the health safety concerns they were extremely considerate to other members in regards to sanitation and health safety. Their stylists are very professional; Kristin, June , and Kristen B are very experienced in different treatments and hair health and repair; their styling and cutting is extremely professional. Their rates are modest given the services and cleanliness, as well as the wonderful experience provided. Another thoughtful added bonus is they will call to remind and confirm your appointment the day before. Professional quality, excellent customer service, and very friendly stylists; I’ll always recommend them to my friends and family.

Today I had my hair cut at Hair Gallery for the first time. My appointed was with June. I had researched online prior to making my appointment at this establishment. In my case I was looking for a stylist that could cut short curly hair and used the scissor/razor technique. I had read quite a few reviews suggesting June at Hair Gallery. I have to say I am so happy that I decided to make an appointment here. When you arrive she questions you to find out exactly what you are looking for in your hair cut. My hair cut by June did not disappoint and was exactly what I was hoping for, a carefree pixie haircut. I have already booked my next appointment once again with June.

I initially called with a weird request for their stylist to pick and choose my hair cut and color and let me tell you, they did NOT disappoint. The entire atmosphere was very welcoming and all of the staff was extremely friendly and so nice. I had an appointment with Daniel and he was extremely professional. Before we even started he explained to me how the process is and what is going to be happening. He answered all my questions before, during, and after the whole appointment. The colors came out fantastic and he even styled my hair for dinner as we were literally the last people in the salon. This is the only salon I will be going to from now on. :)

I got my hair cut and styled by Daniel. As a performer, I'm very conscious of what my hair looks like and of who (or what) touches my hair. After the care Daniel gave me during my time at The Hair Gallery, I will be going to him from now on! He is very sweet, careful, and also attentive to what you like! Don't be afraid to talk to him or ask questions! I'm a very curious person, so I asked him a million questions about what he was doing. Not only did he answer, but he gave me detailed explanations about the health of my hair and how to take care of it from here on out. I LOVE how my hair turned out!!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while, but something always pops up. I have been seeing Maria for at least 6 months since the girl at West Cost ruined my color and the cut was awful! I was over charged at West Coast to look unattractive. I found Hair gallery two weeks later and Maria was available. She did my balayage and fixed the cut. It looks amazing and I have been seeing her since. She is awesome to talk to and a lot of fun. We laugh a lot and I consider her a friend. If you need a great cut and color and fun company, she is your girl! Love her! I’m making an appointment today.

When you love your hairdresser (Kristen) for how perfect she does your hair, does it to your specifications, and really is a hairapist; listening to all your problems and able to make you feel uplifted and look good, then it's a 5 star place. Ambiance is nice and spacious. Very clean and friendly. The only issue is, at certain time frames during the day, it lacks front row parking. But, that only means a little extra exercise with a 50-100 steps to add to your count for the day. Thank you Kristen for all you do!!!

I’ve been a client at The Hair Gallery ever since we moved down to Jacksonville two years ago. The first time I got my hair cut was with June and she did an amazing job with my super thick and wavy hair. I’ve also seen some of the other girls there and they all have done an absolutely amazing job! No matter who does my hair I always leave 100% satisfied. Even my husband gets his hair cut here! We love that The salon is always clean and inviting- we always feel right at home!

I liked how quiet the location is and how friendly the lady was at the counter! I came in to get my hair colored by Daniel and was not disappointed! I showed him what I wanted and he did such a great job to replicate it. He was patient with answering my questions and was very knowledgeable about the process. Overall, I felt like I was in great hands and I knew I wouldn't have to worry about my hair turning out bad.

I went to get my hair done by Daniel. Easy to schedule and flexible. Made sure I went over what I did with my hair to make sure it stays healthy and made sure he knew what I wanted and that I liked it before I left. Fully affordable, great and friendly service. The atmosphere was really nice and welcoming! Daniel and everyone there seem wonderful at what they do.

Ms. Maria is a very good giving me a haircut. She is very efficient and friendly. I was hesitant to find a new hairstylist because my hair stylist move to a different states and when I had Ms Maria service is was so awesome. I would highly recommend Maria. It’s was 6 months ago when I had my haircut on this place.

I found Danny via an ad and I must admit he is amazing!!!! He educated me on products for my hair and provided me with tips. I came in with extremely long and thin hair and went straight for a shoulder length cut. He gave my hair the life it needed. I love him and would continue to go to him for my all hair needs

I went in to get a haircut at my shoulders and layered look, showed her a picture she said she could do it. All I got was a bunch of bangs and a pixie cut at my chin. I asked them for a refund they did not want to take care of the customer. So now I am opening a case with the Consumer Protection Agency

Had my hair done with Zack a couple weeks ago with a demi color and it still looks amazing! I have really tough to manage tangled hair so its always kind of rough when I get it done. The price was a bit high for a demi but it came out amazing so it's worth it!
