I recently returned to this location and was excited that they had more selections because this is two stores really. Good Customer Service! Sometimes I just want to bother them in finding out what books they read, to offer myself some good choices that are new to my library at home. I left behind some pictures of what I found and those books are to me the type of books that really have an impact on one's mind. As I was checking out I was astonished that even in a book store that the Ouija Board was made into a patch. So that makes shirts, rugs, drinking glasses, shot glasses, posters, stickers, lunch boxes, blankets, hats, wallets, and decals for the car. You can channel the devil or your grandmother anywhere now! But I prefer to channel my inner imagination when it comes to some good books and for the reason of just being educated, read the classics first. Happy Reading and Bad Channeling! 4 Years Ago... I've never been disappointed and never will with Half Price Books. I found what I was looking for a very old documents called The Agony and the Ecstasy by Michelangelo. They had good Wi-Fi service and I was able to look up other books. I did enjoy this location it just seemed a little more fit and organized. and don't forget customer service they did really well even when it comes to suggestions.

This is a great Half Price Books. It was my first time visiting this location in Arlington. It has a fantastic selection! I bought several books from the metaphysical aisle and also a couple books from the Travel section. The Travel section has lots to choose from and I loved it! I also bought handful of magazines for only a dollar a piece. I never realized they had a magazine section and I was thrilled! I'll be sure to browse their magazines every time I go to a Half Price bookstore from now on. The staff was very helpful and friendly. And the store was clean and neat. I would definitely recommend visiting this Half Price bookstore location. Be warned though... It's easy to go broke in this store. Ha! ❤️

They have a very good selection and have books in stock that are in high demand. The store is very well organized, clean and very quiet. Although, the books I feel could be priced a little lower for being used books... You could buy new books at the same price at Costco or anywhere else online. At this point you're paying more for the convenience of getting a book last minute and not having to pay Barnes and Noble prices. Would rate 5 if it wasn't for the man at checkout that kept looking at me and my wife like we weren't to be trusted. Was a little off putting. He also wasn't very friendly at checkout. Overall the store itself is great. Minus one star from my own experience with the staff.

This was the first time I ever I had an issue with a person that worked in a half price books store. the woman at the register was rude. I asked her to check to see if my game I was buying had all its pieces.they have signs that say bring up the game to the cashier don't open it up yourself. she told me she couldn't open it up and asked me how she would know what pieces were in there. I pointed to the contents that was on the outside of the box and then she said I could bring it back if they were missing pieces. I said I live too far away and she didn't mention that I could bring it back to any other store.another worker had to come up and give me the information.

it's very hard to go wrong with a bookstore but this one certainly didn't. the people who go here to buy books are most benefited because of the extremely low prices. it is great for students who need inexpensive used books. on the contrary, selling used books here is not very profitable. although, i do not blame them because, if one is simply getting rid of unneeded books, why not abstract a few dollars from it? i firmly believe in buying used books if possible; in order to save money, and keep books from being thrown away or forgotten about. in conclusion, the staff is friendly if you're looking for that sort of thing.

Quite a large bookshop featuring toys and a sizable record collection, this shop's highlights are its vast stacks of books. Very intricately organized (I observed the way a worker put books on the shelf; nothing careless in any of their high-tech application,) it is easy to find what you're looking for, as well as a friendly staff to direct you to the sections you seek. Some sections that I usually find paltry in other shops, have robust inventory here. I was in Dallas briefly, passing through on business, so book shopping wasn't on my itinerary, but I managed to fill my carryon with books from this shop nevertheless.

I love this location, I have been coming here for years. The store is always clean and well organized. The staff is very helpful and they always ask if you need help which is great. I am always greeted when I enter. The store is filled with great reads and deals. Make sure to check out the clearance section, they have great deals hidden so you will have to look. I have bought a couple of books every time I visit this store. It was a chill and quiet vibe. I can be here for hours and hours and not be bored. There is a smoothie place next door which is good as well.

This HPB location is dense in great finds across the store. Sci-fi and horror are always packed, but you'll also find great romance books. If you're into non-fiction, their arts and architecture sections have great finds, and, though not as large, I find a lot of good reads in their nature and science sections as well. Staff is always on the move but will help with a smile at any moment, and it's just around the corner from their location on 75 and Alamo so if you have an afternoon to hunt for books on your wishlist it's a great place to start.

If you love books, you will love this place. Dive in and enjoy a great collection of books at a really low price. Love what this chain is doing and will support as long as there is a building near me. Categorically excellent. I was able to find most books on my mind swiftly. When done, sell back the physical copy as you keep the mental copy for your intellectual reference later. Well kept and welcoming. Seating and restrooms available for those of you who want to sit down with some paperbacks before purchase. Grab a coffee and surf some pages!

I really enjoy shopping at half price books. I went in looking for one specific book required for my College course. My classes are online but I prefer a book because at times when I have had internet issues I was unable to study for quizzes, exams, and complete assignments. As usual I found several other books I didn't know that I needed for my personal reading. I also found a gently used monopoly board game. On my wish list is if half priced books offered discounts to Medical professionals as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

I called before going to the store to see if they had any copies of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Was delighted to learn there were three copies that he would put on hold for me. I hurried over (although I had three days) and the books were much nicer than I ever imagined they could be. And the price was so low! Then, while browsing in the Children's area, I muttered to myself about needing to find some dinosaur books. Just then a charming young man spoke up and said, "The dinosaur books are there." It was a great experience!

I've only been in this location a few times at night, but I had a hard time finding the sections I was looking for, and the store atmosphere feels weird. I'm not sure if it's the lighting or what. This location has been the only Half Price Books location I didn't like being in for very long ... Richardson's store by Alamo Drafthouse I could stay in all afternoon, it's really fresh feeling and has a layout that gets you excited and "shoppy" walking in. It's just a further drive from where I live

I haven't been here in years and it showed. The employees were very nice and helpful. Even helped me try to find a book. It is very neat and organized. I was surprised at the items other than books that I could purchase. I had went to one store to buy and item and came to HPBs for a manual, turned out they had an abundance of the item I bought at the 1st store in different inexpensive formats. The next time I'm in the market to expand my collection I will definitely go there.

I had been looking for this books for 2 years. And I did not want to buy it through Amazon since the translation may be poor. And I’ve always had the good fortune of getting very good books with good translations at Half price books. Now this particular book was not available at this particular location however they were able to search the other locations in the area and transfer it. I was very happy about that and I look forward to it.

Every time I see this place I think "they're on a mission from God" in Elwood Blue's voice. Books meant to be read and a place that is its core purpose, and cheap as dirt prices for those books. At this location I asked for 1000 Nights at the counter. The level of precision in the instructions on walking through the store and what shelf was obscene. Either a fellow fan of collected short stories or just ninjas work here. I think ninjas.

Great location, friendly staff. Always fun to see what new books are in. Brought books in to be sold this time. Took about a minute or less per book, and had fun browsing while I waited. About 30 minutes later I was out the door with some cash in hand. Note: if you're selling, go to the side entrance next to the smoothie place. Also note: at the time of this writing, the smoothie place will give you a dollar off if you shopped at HPB.

I was actually disappointed in the book selection at this particular location. I haven't been in a while, but to only have one Ken Kesey book - and a damaged copy at that - seems ludicrous, especially when Kerouac got so much space on the same shelf. Still, they had a lot in a small space, the staff was friendly and the organization for each shelf was clearly marked (which was good because it varies section to section)

I'm here from Enid Oklahoma, I've been searching for a book for a long time. We're here meeting friends from Houston, every store didn't have it. I googled book stores near me, you can up first. I called to see if you had a hard cover of Open Book by Jessica Simpson. The young lady I spoke with was super sweet. She went and got the book and held it at the counter for me. Customer service at it's finest!!! Thank you!!

This is always a joy. We have visited this store in many cities and it's always a pleasure. They recycle books, records (vinyls), tapes, puzzles of every shape and size. It's our favorite store to buy children's books and DVDs. This one had a smaller children's section. But still had a table and a few chairs for kids. All the employees were pleasant. I will add this to my favorites. We need one on the Southside!

They're always friendly. Willing and able to help with all of your search needs. I'm usually there multiple times a week, selling, buying or searching for an interesting read or a new people magazine. The young lady helped me the other night find and secure an anniversary gift. And he loved it!! Thanks so much to her and the gentleman working to ensure I got just what I needed.

Nice branch of Half Price Books. Smaller than the flagship store on NW Highway. They have a nice selection of all genres and a lot of kids' books. They also buy books which is great! If you are looking for histories and Texas History, they have a nice section of items. Rounding out the shop are games, note cards and other items all book related.

I come here often with my girlfriend the selection is always updated, they provide a quiet browsing experience, the pricing is always great. Help is available at any time and I have yet to wait more then 5 minutes in the check out lanes. It's hard to see from the road but once you enter the shopping center parking lot it's in the left corner.

I love half priced books. I probably got through high school thanks to this store. Love that I can come here and find something awesome for a low low price. The employees are super duper helpful and always help me find tough finds. Maybe my only gripes are that the video games, board games, and records, tend to be overpriced

The best books South of 635/LBJ with an astonishing number of books for such a small store. Great collectibles, gifts for all genre. The store is always clean and well staffed with a helpful crew. This is an older store that has been in this shopping center for many years. Their inventory doesn't seem like it updates very often. I've seen the same books and games sitting around for months or longer. I'm not sure why, though, because they seem to get ok foot traffic. This store is simply ok.

Clean store, very friendly and helpful staff. Marshall is amazing. Big ups to that guy!! Went above and beyond. Helped me find the books I needed and had no issue with me putting them on hold until tomorrow. *Ahem* this employee deserves a raise! [whoever is responsible for that. Just a tip ]

Don't bother returning your books here as you will be luck to get a penny on your dollar. Also, they won't tell you if your books are worth nothing, so you can't decide to keep the ones you get nothing for. I just decided to give my books to the salvation army, and my community book club.

Friendly staff. They carefully observe covid19 safety rules. They carry tons of collectible books and current best sellers at excellent prices. A book aficionado can spend hours in here. Unfortunately for them it's not very busy since the pandemic at least the times I have visited.

I like this store better than its big brother on NW Hwy. In fact, I like their smaller stores better in general, as there's more often something interesting to be found. I bought a book and an LP here right after shopping at the big store (didn't buy anything there).

Great bookstore. I have been to these bookstores from west to east coast and north and south US and always spend too much. I find too much to leave behind. Even better when they have a special 20% off weekend or I get to us a coupon from the calendars.

Although this Half Price Books store is a bit smaller, the customer service and merchandise are always good. Plus the prices were beyond reasonable for anyone's budget. I went in to look around and came out with multiple coloring books for my daughter!
