Went in to change the address on my account, joined the queue and was nearly at the front when I was taken out of the queue being told "I can sort that for you over here, no problem". Which led me to believe it would be done there and then. Except I was then put on a waiting list. With only 1 other person ahead of me, so supposedly quicker. Then I watched the main queue churn through people pretty quickly while I sat and waited. Eventually, the queue disappeared completely, so I went to the counter and was served by the woman who'd put me on the other waiting list. She checked my address, only to find that it had already been done automatically when I previously changed my details with Lloyds (which I hadn't realised would happen). Despite my surprise at the already changed address she threw her arms in the air and said "What where you even waiting for" in a really annoyed tone. I realise that because of my error I unnecessarily took up their time. But if she'd left me in the main queue to start with it would've been 2mins instead of 20. Either way, there was really no need to be that rude.
I had just had an awful experience in the ashford branch when the bank had closed my account. I had just moved back to England from Canada so I didn’t know they had closed it. They told me there was nothing they could do and sent me away. Then I came to this branch and Kirsten sat down with me and she spent so long working out the situation! She sorted it out for me! Honestly even if there was nothing she could do I still would have been satisfied knowing she did everything in her power to help me! If you have any issues walk in and ask for Kirsten...she’s amazing!!

Acum cateva minute am fost in aceasta locatie a bancii sa cer informatii despre cum pot sa imi cresc credit scorul. Domnul de acolo a fost foarte nepoliticos si neprofesional. Credeti ca daca aplicatia ar ajuta cu aceste informatii as mai veni la banca sa cer ajutor??? Foarte dezamagita de comportamentul domnului. De aia sunteti acolo sa ajutati oamenii care isi tin banii in banca voastra…
Counter service has now been removed and they are unable to carry out cash withdrawals over £800 without prior notice. This means someone would then need to drive to Kingswood to make a withdrawal, which is obviously highly inconvenient. This is the only Halifax in Bristol City Centre.
Arrived at branch 8 minutes before closing today and even though the gentleman that assisted me clearly knew sorting my issue would mean staying after closing time, he got on with it professionally and courteously. Great customer service and much appreciated.
Lovely staff, super helpful BUT the security guy was not very welcoming - just stood in front of me with a blank face and no words until a staff member intervened.
Awful. had to wait ages to use the one slow and faulty machine to deposit money. this service use to take minutes when there was counter services
