"You ever go to a place that’s *so good* and you love it *so much* that you almost don’t even want to share it with anyone? It’s so special that if other people knew about it, they would overcrowd it, and then it would be too busy for you to enjoy it? That’s my fear with this place, but I owe it to the people running it to let them know how amazing they are and how much I adore coming here"
"Charming coffee shop inside University of Chicago's Reynolds Club"
"Solid coffee shop for studying in an upbeat environment but keeping with the older aesthetic of the university"
"6/5 ambiance - In particular, love the spectrum of music played"

You ever go to a place that’s *so good* and you love it *so much* that you almost don’t even want to share it with anyone? It’s so special that if other people knew about it, they would overcrowd it, and then it would be too busy for you to enjoy it? That’s my fear with this place, but I owe it to the people running it to let them know how amazing they are and how much I adore coming here. It’s worth it, even if it’s too busy for me to ever find somewhere to sit inside ever again. I’ll begin by saying that it’s inside of University of Chicago and it’s on the second floor, past a lobby, on the left, when you enter the building. You take the stairs up and you feel like you’re in Harry Potter, ascending to one of the common rooms for gryffindor or something. The decor in the whole building definitely reminds me of hogwarts. I learned last time I went there that this is a student run coffee shop, which makes it extra welcoming. All people there are super relaxed and play the best music. Anyway, so you walk in and you see a counter to your left that had a microwave and supplies for your drink or food. Immediately to your right is the bar where you can place your order. Along the wall, beyond the bar, they have fridges with food offering vegetarian and vegan options. The main floor of the space is quite interesting too. The are two rows of couches that center around coffee tables closest to the entrance. Then, farther from the door, there are three billiards tables. Beyond that, round tables with chars as well as comfy cushiony chairs around small coffee tables line and sprinkle the rest of the space. Along the floor, they have outlets to charge your electronics (nice touch, considering how medieval it looks). Also, the shelves under the coffee bar where you order hold at least 5 different kind of board games for you to enjoy. My favorite parts about this place: - the windows make you feel like you’re inside a castle - the windows can double as reading nooks, and they have extra pillows (but not too many) for you to get comfy, too. - you have a good chance of talking to a student or two, and they’re all very nice and intelligent and open minded. - I don’t think you need to buy anything to be there, but I love the overall welcoming and cozy atmosphere. I hope they don’t mind, but I usually take my shoes off and put my feet up on the couch or in the reading nook. That’s how comfortable it is!!! It’s like the perfect study space! The only drawback is if you’re not a student, there is no WiFi, but that can be a good restraint sometimes if you don’t need internet but do need to seriously focus. This is by far my most favorite place that I have ever written in or otherwise worked in. It gives me the warmest feeling in my heart. I love it there.
Charming coffee shop inside University of Chicago's Reynolds Club. This place is on the second floor and is open 7 days a week with evening hours. I'm not a student, but I could tell it was a popular place to hang out and study. There is also 2 pool tables inside. My iced mocha was really good. I'll definitely be coming back.

Solid coffee shop for studying in an upbeat environment but keeping with the older aesthetic of the university. Several pool tables if you want to take a break from studying or just want to hangout with friends. My favorite is either the cortado or london fog with oat milk. They offer several alternatives; almond, oat, and soy milk. Sometimes the pace is slow granted it is run by students but an overall friendly atmosphere if you aren’t in a rush to go anywhere.
6/5 ambiance - In particular, love the spectrum of music played. Springsteen to obscure folk to top 10 indie 3/5 coffee - average, could be more aware of when their brews are out
Great coffee shop. Open late. Run by University of Chicago students. (Note it is hard to find from the street. It is on the second floor.)
Seems like it could be an ok place, but unfortunately there’s no public WiFi, only uchicago student WiFi, so I needed to go elsewhere.
Hard to find. No AC. The ice machine was broken.
