Part 2/2 by Dad— *****Daughter arrested for Domestic Violence, Battery.  Within two days I retained Mr. Will Hanlon.  96 hours later the prosecuting attorney called to inform me that charges would not be filed***** October 12, 2020: Although the probable cause for Domestic Violence, Battery was questionable, I realized that my daughter needed the best representation by a proven criminal defense attorney. After a sleepless night going through multiple reviews I had narrowed my choice down to three Tampa criminal defense attorneys. I called each one and explained the situation over the phone. Two listened, said they would take the case, but would need a retainer before any further discussion. I then called Mr. Will Hanlon. Within two days I retained Mr. Will Hanlon. 96 hours later the prosecuting attorney called to inform me that charges would not be filed***** October 10, 2020: Following a concussion on October 7 as a result of a car wreck I was not myself. I was actually suffering from a brain injury that caused me to act very irrationally. That afternoon, I was involved in a very heated argument with my older daughter which was totally my fault. At some point, my younger daughter started recording it on her phone. Ignoring my older daughter’s insistence to stop, she continued on thus aggravating the situation. My older daughter attempted to grab the phone from her sister to erase the recording; I intercepted by preventing my older daughter from getting the phone. The arguing continued and my younger daughter called the police to prevent any escalation and to calm the situation. Under normal circumstances, as a father I would have resolved and not let it go this far. When the police arrived, the situation had diffused and we were going about our business. We all explained the situation in a very cooperative manner. I had expected the police to tell my daughters to get along with one another and to simply listen to me. To my horror, my older daughter was arrested for Battery, with the added stipulation of Domestic Violence. It was humiliating enough for her to be handcuffed and escorted out of our neighborhood by the police, but if charged and convicted would be facing prison time, lose the right to carry a firearm, and be barred from serving in the military in this lifetime. All as a result of her trying to retrieve her sister’s phone to prevent herself being recorded without consent. October 11, 2020: $500 to release my daughter on bail with the promise to attend her arraignment. ****See Part 2/2 by Dad below****

They are professional, do exactly as they say they will. At one point, Mr. Hanlon called me while he was admitted in the hospital. I don't know another attorney that would go above and beyond for his clients in that manner. I am so appreciative for him. I have hired them again to get my record expunged as I do not deserve to have anything negative about me on any public platform. If you need an attorney who will have your back and on top of that isn't afraid to back down, hire him. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars, because he and his team deserve them. I live in the Chicagoland area. In June of 2016 my son was arrested (his first arrest) for a misdemeanor and a class three felony. There existed a possibility of up to 5 years in prison. After rushing to Tampa and speaking with several lawyers my son, wife, and I settled on Will Hanlon. We found him to be an empathetic and genuinely sincere individual. Hid did not sugar coat the severity of the crime and the possible penalties? Additionally he made no promises but did did assure us that he had successfully handled cases like my sons. During the initial consultation, he laid out what seemed to be a very realistic, hopeful, and achievable strategy. Based on this we hired him. Will was able to get a Pre-trial Intervention (PTI) for my son. The result was that after doing community service and meeting several conditions there would be no charges filed. (Called a No File). I should point t out that Will had advised my son to meet those conditions before they were put into the PTI. The end result completion of the PTI was that much easier. Will also offered his services to have the arrest expunged from his record. Will has been available for questions and phone calls any time we needed. I have only one minor criticism of Will. It is that he will tell you that he will call back by a certain time and he does not always do that. Occasionally we had to contact him because he did not contact us by the time and date he said he would. I will point out that he is not cheap. Others out there would have charged us less. However, in the final analysis he was well worth the price. I can and do recommend Will Hanlon without any reservations.

The two characteristics that you should look for in your attorney are 1) legal skill/knowledge, and 2) personal concern for your case. If either is missing, you have a bad lawyer. Will Hanlon is an EXCELLENT lawyer. He brought immense expertise to my case, and, just as important, he cared about the outcome as much as I did. I was falsely accused of assault by an Uber passenger, and for professional reasons, I could only accept a full dismissal or exoneration in court as a final result. No pleading-out, no admission of guilt in exchange for some anger management program would have allowed me to keep my full-time job, which is crucial to the rest of my life. Mr. Hanlon understood that when I explained, he heard me, and set out to get the charge dismissed, and that’s what happened. I am grateful for my advocate and his office (hat tip to the most-excellent Kathy Geisler for her patience with me, aka Hanlon’s Most Nervous Client!). I was never in doubt about the level of commitment nor ability that was being brought to bear against this unfounded complaint. Being falsely accused is a wrenching experience, and hopefully, if you’re going through it, you will retain the same kind of legal assistance that I had. But to increase the odds of getting the same outcome as me, you will get the same team. Call Hanlon Law, and breathe easier, because you can’t do anything better for yourself or your case.

I cannot thank Will enough 7 other people and I were charged with aggravated battery great bodily harm and false imprisonment charges that could face us up to 20 years in prison. We all were involved in an accident inside of a bar where a guy pulled a gun out and shot it because he was in a fight and getting hit and restrained him and did what we had to do to retrieve the gun and stop him from shooting the person in front of him which thankfully didn’t get the chance to.all labeled heroes at night saying we saved more than one person’s life. Within 48 hours we all had probable cause warrants out for our arrest. And a few of the people lost their jobs because they got arrested at work. Will did everything in his power to contact the bar owner and all the employees for info and got his hands on the video evidence from that night where we found clear evidence. Will then met with the state prosecutor to show the videos within two days. My charges were dropped completely and so were everyone else's. Will is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to aggravated battery and assault cases and he truly showed that handling my case I can finally breathe again, knowing this is all over. if 5 faces Hanlon can take BIG CASH from you, for an "easy case", maybe he does a great job, but he also has a side of his practice where if he believes it's an easy peasy case, he takes that big $ then when he finds out its not easy, it's work, cuz HE didn't do his fiduciary responsible homework, then he pulls a JUDAS on you. He has 3 offices, "sole practicioner" (I wasn't thinking), don't believe Hanlon's 1st face and be very careful to have DETAILS UPON DETAILS IN CONTRACT before signing if you dare to risk all. I’ve been to court a number of times in multiple states and I can tell you no other lawyer Handles himself in court the way Mr. Hanlon does.
