Harbor Freight is evil, but in a good way.... As a time traveler from the past, I have been doing business with Harbor Freight for over 400 years, starting at their very 1st store in Boston, called "Boston Harbor Freight and Revolution Supply" They've always had a wide variety of tools and weaponry that are made somewhere else, but have American Names printed on them, in case anyone would suspect you of being a spy. I remember being a revolutionary soldier, and just as the British were coming, I realized that I forgot my musket at the Local brothel,.. but thankfully, they had plenty in stock, and at 5 cents each,.. I could buy 4 of them for the price of one at the James Avery Store, and still have money left to get a new white wool wig for formal gatherings and document signings... When more British ships were arriving in the Harbor, I used me "Super Coupon" for an "EZ launch Cannon with dolly" made by "Pittsburg Projectiles" .. and we were able to sink 3 ships, before the cannon blue apart and killed Private Davies.. God Rest Him and all his parts.... Needless to say, we ended up winning the war, and I firmly believe that if we hadn't been able to purchase a pack of 100 duck feather pens with ink dipping bowls there, the Declaration of Independence might never have been signed.

Vance location has the worst customer service. Had to ask 3 times regarding an item and was tild check isle 6 checked it couldn't locate the item then asked the man sweeping the store he said isle 6 still couldn't locate it. Went to their website for this stire location and it said they had it in stock went to the front again tonthe cashier and asked and informed her that I was unable to locate the item on isle 6 as stated she then asked someone to go to the isle to check and I walked with the employee she didn't see the item and stated let me check the stock room after 10 minutes she returned stating they did not have the item and that the 410 locatio had it. I checked out at the register and the cashier asked my number and it was provided but not once did she ask if I would like to join the reward program so when she finished I asked if I had recivied a discount for the item purchased and she just looked dumb founded and I told her you didn't bother ti ask me it I wanted to join the rewards program as she had the customer in front of me. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AND WILL NOT GO THEIR AGAIN. I HAD better customer service at the 410 location.

There is saying, you can buy something with only 3 different options. It can be fast, cheap, or good. Of those 3 different options, you can only pick 2. If you want it good and cheap=it won't be fast, If you want it fast and good=it won't be cheap. If you want it cheap and fast=it won't be good. Harbor Freight is a mixture of the three. If you want something good and cheap, everybody else knows about it, and stock runs out fast. You have to wait sometimes until a restock. If you want some fast and good, you pay full price (unless you have a coupon) or have to wait for their big sales. Each big sale is different and sometimes it is done in cycles. If you want it cheap and fast there are a lot of products, mainly consumables, that do the "job" but don't expect it to withstand the test of time. It's perfect place for all types, pros, trades, and the DIY. THEY ALWAYS HAVE A 10 to 20% COUPON AND SOMETIMES A FREE ITEM IF YOU BUY OVER A CERTAIN AMOUNT. They do accept online coupons.

Great place for inexpensive tools that are decent quality for the money. They have a complete assortment like most hardware stores plus lots of little cheap trinkets from China. They have inexpensive generators that are loud and more expensive ones that are quieter. Lots of great hammers and nitrile gloves by the box plus you'll idea find a 20% off coupon on your front porch. Updates: They carry multiple house brands at multiple levels of fit and finish. If you spend a little more to go the the next tier, I think you'll be surprised at how well they work and how well they last compared to their basic line. I have needed to go to their top tier on anything like their Bauer line but it looks well done. I've had lots of expensive tools and work the new updates, I'm comfortable sucking with the middle grades at harbor freight for almost anything I need. Can't comment on battery powered tools though.

They say women shop crazy, they got nothing on me and HF. I go in for a 5 dollar tool, and walk out a couple hundred down. Now remember, their prices are unbelievably low, so I'm carrying plenty of bags. Then they have an excellent ITC membership, where I get certain items discounted. Example: membership costs 30 bucks a year. My first purchase with my new membership saved me 15! So it paid half the fee on just one item. In my line of work, I need just about every tool made and many of the tools have LIFETIME guarantees. It'sa win - win. My son always wanted to go along, cuz they have a great wooden model section. Soon he had every one. Employees at the Vance Jackson locale are very helpful and will give you tips on your project if asked. I've seen entire families shopping, and quite often single ladies too. This armour freight has some of the best customer service of any of the arbour phrase in this area!! I tend to utilise this Harbor freight because it's clean, Organized And the staff are very helpful. I purchased a carport from a different harbour freight and a number of the pieces were missing. Since I am disabled I had to put the pieces in the Box little-by-little so I could return the item to the store after calling the harbour freight Toll free number. A lovely lady helped me exchange my defective Carport for a new 1. They unloaded the old 1 from my Van and loaded the new 1 while I waited. I appreciate the effort they put forth Making my customer service phenomenal!!!! This door is always busy!! I have always found the customer service helpful And the usually go the extra mile!! Kudos to a job well done!!

I visited Harbor Freight Tools locations a few days ago after googling the tool needed and the results showed this tool in stock at all San Antonio Locations. After arriving at the first closest location and searching for this tool with no success locating I requested help. As it turned out this tool was on back order and not in stock. Like many others I was greatly disappointed but the Rep helping checked other locations and told me the next closest location that definitely had this tool in stock. After a 30 minute drive to the alternate location the tool wasn’t in stock at which time I was directed to yet another location. I did drive to the 3rd location where with help from a rep the tool was located. I’m not very happy and out a sizable amount of gas money and my time.

If you're a man, a man that needs tools and I mean a ton of tools, then this place is for you! I always find what I need for the project I'm working on. The ladies who need hard, rugged, hard made tools, lots of muscle, as best as the compition, for a quarter of the price you too need to check out this place. Comparable to Snap On and Craftsman, their tools are are as good and sometimes better at a quarter of the price! I'm a repeat customer. Always checking out their 3 day weekend sales. Great tools at great low prices and a well managed, happy and helpful employees that treat you with respect everytime. I have no complaints except for one, they're always busy. Busy with people like me. People who need solid tools at a low price to help getting the hard work done.

I've visited Harbor Freight rather infrequently. Each time I visit the store/restroom is clean and orderly. I've interacted with the store manager and he has always been cordial and helpful. This isn't a very big place, but seem to have quite a few things. I prefer coming here for the casual simple things I need. It's better than Home Depot as far as price and lines. The small business type setup is probably why, they have more of a neighborhood or mom and pop type feel. I'm never disappointed coming here and always get treated fair each time I visit. And what's best is the fact that they always have a store coupon for a percentage off your purchase. Lowe's or Home Depot doesn't do that..HF is a store for someone like me!

Ahhh! REVIEW IS FOR HOME DEPOT. NOT HARBOR FREIGHT TOOLS! SORRY, FRIENDS. .. We went in to check on Redwood and Cedar deck paint and sealant. Enormous selection. Its soothing meandering through the Garden Center Dept. It's a breeze even in this Hot humid weather. Fabulous healthy indoor and outdoor plants. flowers, succulents, bushes, trees. A grand variety of Potting, planting mixes and mulch... push in one of those enormous orange carts so u po u can g err t sev er real bags of mulch/wood chips - they're often on sale. Meander around, no crowds! Plenty of closeup parking, including the Handicap stalls.

Never before have I had a bad experience at Harbor freight and I shop at Harbor freight at least every week. The female cashier who is at the register on the far left as you’re standing in line to check out changed that today. Not only was she rude to me when I entered, but she was rude to me again when I left. Rude enough that I chose to go to a different cashier rather than having to deal with her attitude. Somebody needs to terminate her. I understand that there aren’t enough people willing to work today, but I also don’t deserve to be treated poorly when I’m trying to make a purchase.

Great service from the man and lady that helped, they were wonderfully, only problem I had was the generator I wanted they didn't have in stock, they would not sell me the floor model, company policy, they had tickets at the generator I wanted but they didn't have it, they should be able to sell floor models,so I had to buy 2 spending way more then what I wanted, not happy with harbor freight, but the lady and man was wonderful, iv editing 1 star for poor policy and not letting people know they don't have stuff in stock by items that are not in stock

What can I say about Harbor Freight? If you're familiar with it then you know what it is and you probably already been to another stores are at least ordered online. Inexpensive tools that are better than halfway decent but not lifelong tools per se. If you're going to snake your drain it'd be cheaper to pay $175 to buy one of their units then it would be to pay a plumber to come twice to snake it if it needed it. I love the store. I love to walk around the store and look at everything and buy whatever I can afford because I know that I'll use it.

Went to store to looking for something I saw in special,went try to pay for it,they said if I was a member,otherwise I have to pay for regular price,then said I can become a member for 30 dolls. I ask for the warranty, you have to buy it for 60 dollars ,for 3 years,,,the problem is every time something happens to equipment, in order to fix or exchange for new one you have to buy warranty again for another 40,so every time you will pay ,equipment is not good Name or quality, so I dice to go for Brand Name Tools( you'll get what you pay for )

What an experience, I walked in never having been in a Harbor Freight store only using there online service. I have to start with the employees, they were so helpful and had a very strong presence on the sales floor. They greeted me immediately and I could not count the amount of times I was asked if I needed help. Superb service from your staff, they represent Habor Freight very professionally. The layout of the store makes things easy to find but that doesn't matter the employees directed me to every item I had come to purchase. WOW!

Harbor Freight Tools is the very best when you don't require the very best. For many jobs pretty good is good enough. A typical homeowner will not need the very best tools sold at premium prices. Neither do many professionals need high-end tools all the time. For many jobs a tool can be more useful if it is somewhat disposable. The staff at this location is always helpful. The store is clean and well-organized. It is in a safe area that is well-lit. Having a Harbor Freight nearby it's a wonderful thing.

Do they ever answer the phone? We placed an in store order and was told we'd have to call and ask if it's in. Horrible customer service! Now we've been calling and calling and calling and no one bothers to answer the phone! Emailed corporate to be told we'll get back to you in 3 days. Over a week now haven't received anything! CALLED corporate and they said we'll escalate and someone will get back in 3 days. What the world are they doing??? Never made purchase prior to this and never going back!

Truly a terrible experience. No employees to guide me to what I was looking for. When I finally found it, no one was at checkout. I had just moved into the area and been send a few coupons from HFT and it turns out they had expired, even though I had received them a day prior. They would not honor the coupons and were very rude when I told them I had just received them in the mail. Oh well....more business for Home Depot or Lowe’s, I suppose!

Went to this store to purchase a auto floor jack. The location was very clean and neatly layed out. The jack I was looking for was not stocked on the shelf, but staff was very friendly in showing me another location that they were stocked at the rear of he store. Considering the experience I had with the one on Military Dr. this location is much more professionally serviced. I will return to this location for what needs they can cover!

People at this store renewed my faith in humanity. As soon as I walked in one employee asked what I was looking for and he said he knew where to find it he'd get a dolly and bring one to me. I checked out asked if I could borrow the dolly and the employee said that's okay I'll bring it out for you and he loaded it in my car. It was pleasing to see courteous and polite employees that wanted to actually help customers for a change!

This is the absolute cheapest place for a Chinese knock off of a name brand tool. They do offer an extended warranty, depending on what you are planning on doing, like actually using the tool, you might want to get this. The Chinese can produce quality, or cheap. Sign up for the email, bargain on the already low price. They push this club, ."inside track", perhaps a better deal, but like the warehouse club, might not be worth it.

It’s a Harbor Freight so don’t expect the tool quality to be something that will last you very long. Great place to buy disposables like nails, bits, handtools, and cheap tarps. Always fun to look around at the weird home supplies they sell as well. You might end up waiting in line for a while, never been to a Harbor Freight where the checkout process wasn’t lengthy. Still a useful hardware store for many weird things.

Ok, this place needs carts! What the heck had to carry handful of stuff and then such a pain to buy large items. It was the last store that has welder I was looking for. Very busy for week day and was a hassle getting staff to move items to front. Waited for them to bring to car to load, eventually gave up. Just walked in and grabbed my $700 of items and carried out myself--no one seemed to care or notice.

Store was stocked and employees were available to answer questions or assist you in finding a product. Only gave it 3 stars due to the extremely long wait times at checkout. Out of 4 registers, only one was opened even though it was plain to see at least 6-8 people was always in line. I obervered the manager up front on three separate occasions but seemed to completely ignore the checkout situation.

The tools are very cheap here and it's awesome. I enjoy buying at this place. Tools are more for home not much as in professional use. Buy the warranty!!. On another note they need to fix the line when paying at the cashier because there are a bunch of people who keep cutting in line. It's not fare and should be fixed. I try to avoid going there during the weekend because its hella busy.

I love harbor freight I'm so glad I found this place. The only thing I have a problem with is Kraus & Becker products and you will too I bought an electric sprayer and airless sprayer both of them came out of the box messed up had to look up YouTube videos to figure it out. That's the only product I wouldn't recommend purchasing so far other than that everything else has been great!

HF is great for picking up occasional use tools - things to try before getting a 'good one' and quite often the cheap option actually lasts a really long time. It isn't my go-to brand-wise for the essentials that get beat on daily but there is a lot to be said for the get-it-cheap-and-replace-as-needed strategy, too. Also they have a ton of coupons and are very friendly folks.

The tools will break eventually but what do you expect for a cheap Chinese knockoff. That said I'd rather buy a power tool that will last me a few years for $50 than spend $500 one that may last a one or two years longer than that by going to another store. The staff is always nice so as long as you know what you're buying won't last forever and can accept that you're golden.

I assume they get some sort of incentive for this since it keeps happening and a call to ask it to stop did nothing. I will pursue other avenues to try to get off their fraudulent list since they are no help.

I can go down isle after isle. I always find things I needed or things I didn't know I needed but did. Friendly register help is hit and miss. Never bad just not always exemplory. A friend came with me, she didn't really want to. I lost her a few minutes and when I found her she had a basket and about 5 different items in it. I defy anyone to not find SOMTHING

I love taking a hunk of a weekend day and just looking around. I hate shopping but tool stores are just different. If you're a man and love tools then head on down!

I have always bought my dad here but I will never come back. There use to be friendly cashiers. There are two grumpy male cashiers now and are slow as molasses! They are crowding everyone in one line that caused a long line and the isles of merchandise were being blocked. It makes no sense at all. You have lost customers. Date 2/1/20 @ 3:30pm

Just be aware when you buy certain items that they will be a return stocking fee 20% which is ridiculous That's why you should shop at home Depot or Lowe's they will never give you this type of service never again buying something had to pay $52 to return it That's kind of ridiculous learn my lesson do not shop here do not recommend at all

This is indeed the new HF location in Northwoods in the same shopping center as Office Depot and behind the Chilis. Clean organized and staff was well trained and answered all of my questions and requests. Now I don't have to drive to the one on 410 and Vance Jackson since that was the closest one to the Northside for many years.

Five stars for the refreshingly polite clerk. Didn’t expect it given the neighborhood. Came here looking for hand truck tires and they had a decent selection of those. Otherwise, three stars for the likely bottom shelf quality of their products. Smells like cancer or brain damage in there too (from all the chemicals)

It is a well kept area with lots of tools. They also have toys and plenty of other household items. They had a magnizing lamp that were looking for. There was only two so I was glad to get it. The staff was friendly. It is a good place with lots of work items with reasonable prices. This location had decent parking .

I forgot my coupon and the guy at the register said he couldn't give me one even though he knew from entering my phone number that I am a regular customer. Was a regular customer. I can get just as good deals from Amazon and from now on I will. I realize it's their policy. From now on my policy is to buy from Amazon.

Harborfreight has just about every tool that you might want. They have the cheap tools and products just to get ajob done, but they also have better quality products that are as competitive as the big name brands. Just depends on what you are doing and if you want a forever tool or just a tool to use a few times.

It's HF, prices are great but they really need to work on managing the checkout lines. To many times lines are backed up the middle isle , while employees not working the other closed counters sneak in and out of the front office. Store manager, tip, if lines are backed up, open up another check out isle.

Had items in stock that were set for their Black Friday sale. very well staffed and assisting customers to expedite persons with their purchases and selections. Check out lines fluctuated and they opened additional registers as needed. Very impressed with the way management is operating this location.

Was looking for a product that the website lists as in-store/in-stock. The employees didn't know how to find the tool but an older man, himself a "tool" that works here didn't want to help. I recommend avoiding this Harbor Freight if possible. A younger employee truly tried to help, but to no avail!

Found exactly what I needed, good price. Recieved excellent customer service from an employee who showed, explained and demonstrated use of tool. Employee went as far as to explain tool was dangerous and suggested safety goggles. Not just worried about a sale. Will definitely go back again.

this is one of the best I have been shopping in. The staff was helpful and not a bother as far as not coming asking if "you finding everything alright?" every two minutes. No none of that at this store. They just leave you alone and let you do your shopping and are ready to help when asked.

Harbor freight had everything that I was looking for the only thing that I didn't really like is I couldn't find an employee to help me out, it took 7 minutes until an employee finally came out to help me other than that it was okay. That was the first time I came to Harbor Freight Tools.

If you need tools and don't want to spend a fortune on them, this is the place to go, everything is reasonably priced, Harbor Freight has many items on sale weekly, they have a wide selection of Hand Tools, Power Tools, Air Tools, etc, ect. It's definitely worth the visit and savings.

Harbor Freight has a great selection of tools and gadgets for everyone. If there is a tool I need that nobody else has, Harbor Freight almost always has it. Their prices are unbeatable too. Nearly all the time they are having some kind of sale. I highly recommend this place.

I needed some tools that were available from the online site. The online site said the items were available at this location. Of the seven items I needed only two were available. The employees working there were next to useless at helping me locate the needed tools.

The first return ever with a tree saw that should never have been made, went very smoothly. I wish they staffed adequately as help finding things and more importantly standing in six feet spaced queues would make lines move faster and feel less nerve wracking.

Love the prices. The check out with the cashiers needs to be much quicker. Every time i go in there they have 1 cashier and it takes about an hour to get out. Management needs to do something about this problem. You can never find a manager when you need one

Good selection of medium quality tools and supplies. The store was very clean and organized. The staffing seemed a little light, but the workers were very friendly and helpful. The staff had a great knowledge of their inventory and knew where things were.

You know those Harbor Freight coupon sheets you get in the mail? Well, they're real, and they're great. I got enough batteries to last me years for a song. They have a lot to offer anyone who needs tools, even if you just need something around the house.

I can't get enough harbor freight but the coupons can make u feel like you never quite got the best deal. U can have a coupn for an item and the same item has a cbetmter coupon and not sure if joining the club would make things worse.

HF is great. Start a new project so you can go in and look around. You will probably walk out with at least a ratchet or screwdriver bit set. Their staff is usually on tasks, but they do their best to try and help you out quickly.

Great place to buy tools at a cheaper price. They have just about anything you might be looking for. Not the best quality, but good quality tools. Most have a good warranty or an extended warranty can be purchased.

I love harbor freight tools but hate this store. Everytime I've visited there is always a line of 8-10 people deep waiting to check out. Only 2 cashiers so don't expect to go in grab a tool and get out in a hurry.

Great source for seldom or one-time use tools. Also great for consumables such as grinding discs or whatever. They're a fraction of the price but will last the same as the name brands. Sandpaper is sandpaper.

The tarps are well worth the price! I bought one that lasted over 2 years. I purchased on online. Paid more and only lasted 3 months. Never again!!

Cheapest prices for decent tools. Great coupon offers as well. Have been here at least 50 times to buy stuff at a better value than other stores.

Good selection, floor workers were helpful, cashiers,not so much. Only two and one was on the phone for a good 5 minutes not cashing anyone out.

Love to shop there. But they had very few choices for outdoor lighting and have discontinued their batteries for the tools I had earlier bought.

I have been dealing with Harbor Freight since 1988. I have never, ever, seen this store as full of merchandise! Very, very few out of stocks!!!

Great tools, but remember they do quality control. Great return policy. Allowed for me to get a refund to item that went on sale a week later.

I visited this location and was treated rudely by a young lady with pink hair. She doesn't seem to enjoy her job

So The man was very helpful help me get all the tools and things I needed to rebuild the engine for the truck
