This is the third incident I had with this company and about the 6 or 7th time I've used them. That means half the time you use them you will have an issue. If you like to gamble and get screwed, go for these guys. First time I had an issue, I told them I have a debit card and they said yes they take debit. Driver gets there and gives me a story why his square doesn't work so I have to go to an atm. Second time I had an issue, the driver was high on some type of drugs and was falling asleep at the wheel so I had to keep him awake. Third time was today and its the last time I ever use them. The drivers are nice but theres no communication between them and dispatch. I told them I have a debit card and the driver gets there and its the same issue, his square doesn't work. So now we have to go to atm. I'm already late for work. Thats why I hired you guys in the first place. Never using harbor view again

Pre COVID I used this car service REGuLARLY for business purposes and post COVID just tonight had them pick me up at a business dinner and returned to Bay Ridge. I parked my car near the HQ but when I asked to be dropped at my car the driver called the HQ and they wanted $6 for a 4 block deviation… RIDICULOUS especially when they charged me for tolls that were never used and could not give me a receipt for business expense reporting. I called the HQ to express my dissatisfaction and they said the extra charge was a business expense. For the sake of $6 they just permanently lost a customer - I hope it was worth it to them and their driver whom I tipped 25 % for being dumped 4 blocks from my requested destination. Seems to me the owners have changed and they are now foreigners looking to rip off their former customers. Well not this one!!!

If you need a pickup in bay ridge, fine. If you need a pickup at the airport, find anyone else. We made a reservation a day in advance, gave the flight info, called when the flight was delayed with the estimated arrival time. We did everything we could do to have the car waiting for us. Tonight our flight landed and I called the dispatcher to let them know. They said the driver was on his way. We waited AN HOUR from that point, indicating they sent the car when I called. After calling they gave the excuse of traffic slowing the driver down. At 11 pm on super bowl Sunday. A lie. And then when challenged on it we were told to talk to their boss tomorrow. No apology. Nothing. I've been loyal to harbor view since I moved to bay ridge. I'm done.

Our experience was mixed. The ride out to the airport was excellent: clean, prompt, courteous. However, we were traveling with 2 children, one of whom needs an infant car seat. The ride back from LaGuardia was unacceptable and forced us to cancel and take the bus/subway. It arrived with two toddler seats (not safe or usable for infants), despite our instructions. But even if we’d had two toddlers, one of the car seats didn’t work—the seatbelt was broken and would not tighten. And even if we hadn’t had children, its rear headrests would not retract to a comfortable position. Not a vehicle that should be in any fleet, and so not a service we would use or recommend.

It's been quite some time since I've taken a regular cab, not that I take Uber/Lyft etc. The car arrived in less time than I was told. When I got in, the driver greeted me politely & the car was nice and warm! The driver made conversation but it wasn't over the top and I could tell he was genuinely being nice. He did not speed or make me feel uncomfortable with the way he drove. The icing on the cake was that the ride was only $6! When/if I need a cab service in the future I'll be sure to call Harbor View!

WE LITERALLY GOT ROBBED. DO NOT TAKE THIS CAR SERVICE, THESE PEOPLE ARE THEIVES. I WAS TOLD WE WOULD BE PAYING 55$ OVER THE PHONE AND ENDED UP PAYING AROUND 85$ or more I wasn’t even sure. Me and my friend were in a rush and the driver took that to his advantage. He kept adding unnecessary fees like a tip, and tolls and then an extra tip for the driver. We’re 100% sure he ended up hiding an extra 10$ in his pocket after that and said we were short. THIS WAS SO RIDICULOUS. DO NOT USE THIS CAR SERVICE!!

Reserved a car for four plus luggage and they send a tiny car saying we claimed we only said two pieces, which is ridiculous. Then they up the price to a minivan price yet we have to squeeze in because we didn’t want to miss our flight. I wouldn’t have minded paying for the van if that is what we received but we had a miserable ride and a higher price. Unfair! *Manager called to address. Still not happy with what was apparently a lying driver, but I appreciated the service on the back end.

they're ok in an emergency, BUT!!! . . . i would strongly urge you to be very careful in your questions and DIRECTIONS to the dispatch folks and to the whichever driver they assign to you!!! or you'll be in more agony when you arrive at the emergency room, than when you first called this outfit . . . THERE IS (!!!!!!!) one upside to this "outfit": their pricing is on the "less" expensive end . . . (though they won't allow you to smoke . . . yikes!!! but that's as how it should be!!!

I use this car service all the time. It never lets us down, and they do something that I haven't received much of from other car "services" and that is they treat you the way people used to treat a customer! They actually do all possible to help be of service to you. They go out of their way to get what you need done DONE! Others act like they are doing YOU a BIG favor. You are giving THEM a job! The worst experience ever!!!! From Coney Island to 9 str and 6 ave brookyn wanted to charge 30$ I use so many car services I see all prices but nothing like this!!! Sad thank you to driver but didn’t take the trip!!! Call Russian car service which a not cheap and paid 20$ !!!! I absolutely not recommended!!!! My battery die in my phone so Uber be the best deal-!! But this ones a totally crazy!!!

Very courteous and efficient car service with reasonabe rates. I'm disabled and need extra help and both my drivers, Rushdie and Ash, were wonderfully kind and helpful. They were on time, pleasant and courteous. I was very pleasantly surprised. I spoke to Joan, one of their dispatchers, who was also lovely. I highly recommend this car service.

Driver got to my house exactly at the scheduled time phone communication with dispatcher was on point and very courteous when speaking to them. I would highly recommend Harbor View Car Service to family and friends. Keep up the great work and price was extremely fair. The driver drove us from Bayridge to La Guardia airport at an amazing price.

Why do the dispatchers yell on the phone? There is no reason to treat customers that way. This is not the first time the dispatcher has been extremely rude and it is not the same dispatcher. Clearly the rudeness comes from the top. Shame, this used to be a great car service and I’m not going to call them for my customers from the bar anymore.

This was my go to service for 18 years. Today the young owner/dispatcher was asked to put on a mask by an elderly gentlemen who explained he has cancer. He refused. I told him he had lost my business and he said "good, I don't want it." If the health and safety of his customers aren't important to him, I won't be using his service.

I stopped using Uber and now use Harbor. They are always on time. The drivers are so helpful with my bags. It's the only car service I use to and from the airport. I was delayed and they tracked my flight. When I got off the plane my driver was waiting for me to get my bags and a water for me. Great service!!

For a long time Harbor View was the best service I could find in Bay Ridge, but about a year ago they went to being among the worst. At this point they've apparently been sold again and are owned by the same folk as the Dyker Car Service, so my rating is back to 4 stars. Calling either should serve you well.

I've use one or two other services and those did not compare. I travel once a month and I will stick to Harbor View. They're usually early when they pick me up and really friendly. It's hard to understand the dispatcher at times, but I still can't complain. Good prices and always great service.

We have been using Harbor view Car Service for several years now and I have never been disappointed. They are consistently on time (usually early, in fact), drivers are courteous, booking is super easy and reasonably priced. I always recommend them to friends & family, who are equally pleased.

We've used Harbor View for years, not regularly, but for occasional early morning airport drop offs and, today, a midtown hospital pick up. Every single time the drivers have been on time or early, knew where they were going and were professional and courteous. We'll continue to support them.

I've used harbor veiw multiple times and everytime I have called the cars come a hour and a half late. I called the dispatch multiple times and they were so rude. They told me the car was 5 minutes away when the car came 45 minutes later. It's ridiculous. Most of the drivers are nice though.

Absolutely a pleasure to ride with this service the drivers are fantastic and the staff taking the calls are an absolute pleasure and always friendly I would recommend this service to anyone looking for a ride anywhere and the prices are unbeatable !

Scary ride today. Driver 7 minutes late, falling asleep at wheel. Had to call to him in Battery tunnel to stay awake. Other times satisfied with drivers, cars and service. But one dozing driver is one too many.
