I purchased a leather sectional couch from Fair price Furniture in Preston and found the service in store was very good through the purchase phase. What I found was a let down was after the purchase. The delivery service was very very bad. They dropped off the electric couch while my wife was home and didn't connect it to power to confirm it was working. They also left stacks of cardboard and packing on the ground in my back yard. It would have taken me a month to dispose of the waste through the recycle bin each fortnight so instead we took it to the tip at our cost despite having paid a delivery premium. I called them on it and they said waste removal was not part of the service. They threw out a couple excuses, one of which was that they didn't have room in the truck....despite the fact they just emptied my couch from it. I thought that was completely unacceptable. When I connected the couch I found immediately there was a terrible squeal in one recliner chair when raised or lowered. When we called the office about it they said it was due to the leather needing to wear but the other recliner chair in the sectional didn't make a sound. They did arrange a replacement chair but it did the same thing. I might have believed them regarding it taking time except that they washed their hands of responsibility to remove the waste cardboard and I felt they would say anything to make a complaint just go away so I was not prepared to wait and see if they were correct or not. After the replacement failed we asked for a refund and they agreed. So that was good. However, its been a week and I'm still waiting for the money to be refunded. They have picked up the couch but said they have to inspect the couch at the warehouse before the refund, so I'm getting worried now. When pick-up was organised they gave us a time. My wife called the office to say she would not be available for one hour on the day they specified. The manager wasn't there but which ever sales agent answered said they would pass on the message. Obviously they didn't. They also didn't text the day before so that we could have contacted them then to remind them about our availability because they advised they would arrive to pick up the couch inside the hour my wife told the office she couldn't be home. Ultimately they postponed pick-up to a later day which then resulted in my wife having to reserve large chunks of two days to be available for them. Communication was very bad between the sales office and delivery team. I really get the impression that the company attitude is once the sale is made no one cares what happens after that. I don't blame them for the faulty couch. That happens. It was the ongoing service after the sale that has lost my business and eliminated them as an option for any future furniture purchases. A shame because I thought the agent who first helped us was great. This failure is entirely on management letting the delivery team operate without consequences and not building office culture and stressing the importance of ongoing service.

So four months ago we brought a couch way over $2,000 dollars and was told before we brought it that it would be ok with pets to have the stitching coming apart replaced one piece now heaps of the couch stitching is coming apart. We would of been happy with store credit to get a different couch but the customer service has been appalling and the so called call backs yeah right As it is our dogs are outside dogs Now we want our money back but now they say they have pet friendly furniture and non pet friendly furniture what a joke no sales person told us that and I’ve never heard this before ever So quick to take your money but not to give back or anything I would truly stay away from this place they even come out to inspect your house since which furniture company does this Will be taking this higher Wish I could give a minus in star rating Big WARNING to all stay away from this furniture place Otherwise be careful when you sit on your furniture it could come apart and hey will be your fault

absolutely horrendous service from the one who deems he is the Manager.....I will not say his name on the net to not belittle him. I first spoke to the receptionist about a rip in the stitching of my couch which was purchased 10 months ago. I asked for the recliner to be replaced because 10 months is definitely not good enough. The receptionist was very nice and said she will see what she can do. The manager then called and laughed at my request. He then said if a transmission blew in my car would you give me a new vehicle. I said well yes under the new consumer law failure in a vehicle can allow a refund or exchange in purchase he then laughed again. Maybe before you laugh at a customer and then for putting you in your place tell him he is threatening be correct in what you are saying. I will be taking this matter much further. Can not believe i spent $5000.00 minimum with your company would never recommend this place to any one.

Horrible customer service....I bought 2 mattresses for my kids and they told me to pick them up from their store by northland shopping center so I had to drive all the way from epping to northland. They only had one mattress there...was told that the warehouse shipped a wrong size (which was 100$ more expensive) so I called thomastown store. They said I would have to pick up the other one 2 days after from thomastown store. I asked them if they can ship it to my house since they made me drive all the way to northland but the salesman said no I will have to pick it up. Very rude and disrespectful behavior! I would not recommend shopping there or go back ever again! Very disappointed!

Best customer service ever received anywhere as on other shops you have to walk to the counter to ask for help however here at this only store every single staff member was not only greeting every customer but also kept walking with them incase if they need any help. And manager(Haris) completely knows everything about the products and he is a designer as well so he helped us getting the right thing for our house, competitive prices and highly recommended. Not to say but my husband cancelled the order from other shop and got all the furniture from this store. Will for sure recommend other friends

Pathetic service. Was ready to buy so many items and was talking to the sales person. His store manager who approached us in the middle of the conversation while I was bargaining, interrupted and rudely told his sales member to not sell anything to me just because of the fact that I was bargaining. If it was out of their capacity, I would have expected an answer that this is the best price we can do. I was happy to purchase anyway. What put off the deal was the rudeness in which he spoke about me in front of me. Just left the store without any purchase. Extremely disappointed and disgusted.

So a disappointing experience with this company. My partner and I cane in to buy living room set and dining table and received a signed and dated quote to then be told it’s incorrect when we went to pay. In my job I have to wear a mistake like that and suck it up. Very disappointed that your company would rather just avoid us then accept your mistake and own it like everyone else has to. Would not recommend and plan on recommending AGAINST them in the future. Very disappointed The girl we delt with (Shannon) was very good but the store manager is a joke. Don’t ever use this store

If I had a choice to give 0 stars I would ..it is my worst furniture experience ever ... After promising me 3 times that someone will contact me they have only one or the other excuses .. internet has been down for 3 days and now the landline has stopped working .. The quality of mattress I purchased was terrible and the staff keeps blaming us and even to that extent that you purchased a cheap quality mattress ... I will never ever go to this place again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to go through this kind of Pain .. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Preston branch. Ever

I wish I could rate this store lower...appalling service from the store manager...Dining table delivered first time was damaged, a second delivery was organized after a month, this time it was the wrong size... attempt 3: wrong color...when I called the store manager, he mentioned the color we chose is not available anymore...finally had to organize a refund...very rude to deal with...pathetic service

Good products but terrible service and staff. The staff blabber to each other instead of serving you, even after I showing pretty clear interest in an item (I had to walk over to them to ask them about the item). On the only occasion I bought a rug and they were rude about the service and delivery process and were rough and crude with the wrap up process. Terrible service.

Called up yesterday for a price on a suite and was told $1250. Came in today and was told $1350. I told the sales rep I was told $1250 the yesterday and he said $1290 was the best they could do so I said I’d let him know. As I left he said if I do it for $1250 will you take it, I declined. Don’t like playing games with price.

I bought a piece of furniture after checking the price several times. They gave me a smaller size and deny the price they gave me for the one I wanted. At the end I had to bring the item back to make them refund me. They are not honest and their last priority is the customer. will NEVER get back there.

Bought my couches from these guys which was meant to be delivered within 4 weeks and now it has been 3 months and i still haven’t received them , also they stopped replying my emails and not answering my phone calls anymore and now I don’t know what to do with the current pandemic situation!

I dont think they supply quality products and their customer service is poor, they did call me to delete the review but never come to repair couches . Seems like one of the staff keep saying customer service is good( probably one or two staff members may be good)

We walked into most of Melbourne looking to furnish our house. We go sick of looking at over priced garbage at most other shops. But we stuck gold with quality, price and style.. Ended up getting most of our things from these guys.

If I knew that they were going to leave all these enormous empty sofa boxes at my new place, I should of had them deliver onto an empty block of land. I could sit on my new couch and live in these gigantic boxes they left for me.
