We have been to this laundromat multiple times and have had a good experience. Each time we go in, there is a gentleman who is keeping everything clean and the folks there doing laundry are chill as well. The single star is for the lady with the purple shirt who was working there this morning. I was trying to exchange a $50 bill in their machine and it wasn’t working. My partner approached the woman who was working there and let her know what was happening and the woman tried to put he $50 bill into the machine as well but it still didn’t work. She then held the bill up to the light and mentioned that she could grab money from the back or something and then kept looking at the bill. She then asked if we had been in before and when we told her yes she rudely said she hadn’t seen us before and decided not to help break the $50 bill because she couldn’t tell if it was real or not. She then went and asked someone else if they would break it for us even though we said it was ok and that person said no anyway. I ended up going to the bank and getting 5 rolls of quarters and coming back to finish our laundry. It’s hard to convey how this woman was treating us through this review but it was very disrespectful and we hope to never have to interact with her again. She could have just said, “sorry, I can’t help you if the machine won’t take it,” instead she did all of he above. My problem isn’t with her not breaking the $50 - my problem is with the way she spoke to us and handled the situation. I travel for work as a healthcare professional and to think that on my days off I’m not even treated with decency by the community I serve - it’s disheartening. Shout out to the gentleman who works in the afternoons and I hope to never interact with that lady ever again. The laundromat itself I would give 4 stars - the washers work well as do the dryers and it’s usually pretty clean there.
I believe the prices have gone down. Now it's $6.25 for a super machine, $3.25 for a small(er) machine. There's a third size but I didn't use it so I don't know the price. The dryers are .25¢ for six minutes and can hold up to three baskets of laundry, though I recommend spreading it out between three machines instead, it'll dry faster. All the machines were in top condition, I had no trouble getting my change, putting my change in or getting it unstuck, and with as much as I had, I managed $9.50 in washing, and $5.25 in drying; $14.75 in all for what's likely three loads of laundry at a home washer and dryer. But besides the prices being reasonable and all the machines being in top shape, it's the people that make any place worth being. This has ALWAYS been a neighborhood laundrymat. Oddly, since moving to the neighborhood, I've only used it once. This time changed that. I had a Long conversation with the woman managing the place and it was a very pleasant experience. There was another person there who had stayed late because we were both concerned about a particular customer that was being aggressive towards a person on their phone. Regardless, they left when asked and didn't come back. But this other woman and I stayed until closing to make sure he didn't, and that the manager was safe. That's what gives a place more stars, when it has a community to watch out for the people that run it. When you KNOW that the people next to you are worried for your safety just as much as you worry for theirs. So yes, I'll be doing my laundry here exclusively from now on.
I've washed at this location pretty much weekly for 1 year now. This easily was a 5 STAR Facility until recently. Pros: The location is extremely clean and the regular attendant is amazing. The family that owns the facility must treat her well, because she has worked here consistently. Cons: The only cons are that the Free Dry Days (Wednesdays and Thursdays) were canceled suddenly and came along with a price increase, WITH NO NOTICE to the regular customers. Over the time I've been a customer, I've seen their Free Dry benefit the community of customers, (which is mostly seniors and retirees during the hours I go), so it's sad to see that this place may no longer be affordable for them. Another CON: During my last visit (last week), the performance of the dryers seemed to be quite a bit lower, extending my time there nearly 30 minutes..It took me almost $2.00 to dry 4 bath sheets. I didn't add everything up, but it felt like I was constantly feeding quarters to the dryers. As much as I've loved washing here for the last year, I can't say that I'll continue coming from across town to wash here every week like I have been...and many people probably feel the same, as the place didn't appear to be nearly as busy as weeks past.
I Came here with my dogs extremely dirty pet bed and even grosser blanket. I was loading them Into a mediumsize washer when a gal approached me asking why I was using that washer? I have seen alot of facilities prohibit laundering pet beds and was afraid this was another one of those establishments. She then instructed me to use the larger washer because it would get more water therfore clean the bed better. She than told me that if money was the issue for me using the snake machine she would pay the difference. I assured her it was fine and I could pay for it but she insisted and before I was able to decline was offering up more detergent and booster to do a better job!!!!! Mind blown !@#!$$ She told me she was a people person and just wanted to get the best results for me . What an amazing worker and lucky establishment. I do t write reviews but this place changed that. You just don't receive authentic genuine customer service like that these days . So shout out to you Miss.Loraine If you're not already the owner. Than you have the ethics to be and if you can't do that Than make this girl the manager and give her raise. Thank You No body likes laundry day But you just made mine
I google laundromat with free drying. It sent me here. I'm here washing and I started questioning myself, I knew I read laundromat free dry and 50 cents to start the machine 12 mins..i was putting in for my clothes to dry, I finally asked this lady that works here about the free drying, she said its only 8 driers that are free dry, out of the entire establishment. She mentioned that if i did like it here she recommended me as well as others to the other establishments that she and her sister work for on Eubank infront of Walmart and the other one on san Mateo. I said no, all I wanted to know was why did it say free dry, it should have said limited drying. This is fauls advertising. After i was done no crowds at all but nearly 30 dallors to dry. Thursdays are free dry I guess. Don't come here. Unless you are just going to wash. Limited 8 driers out of 20+ driers that are only free.
Recommend highly, but no more FREE DRY as of Jan 2023. (<---Updated Edit to include that.) This is the cleanest laundromat I've ever seen. The many machines and carts all look new. They have many sizes too: from a double-loader for $3 {July 2022} to huge eight-loaders. 2 sizes of dryers with different minutes amounts for each quarter. The western wall of dryers are the slightly larger, costlier ones. There are 3 areas for folding. There are coin change machines, and vending machines for snacks, drinks and laundry supplies. There are only 2 benches for seating, no tables {except for clothes folding counters} ; one large clean restroom for customers. Get in there at least an hour before closing, for last wash.
Wish they had hand soap at the sink next to the washers. The attendant charges $1.50 for a trash bag in case you need one. You can get oxygen clean here in a mini box for the same amount. The benches are uncomfortable and overall the washers and dryers are very close together making the inside crowded and awkward to maneuver with a laundry cart they provide. Yet the giant washers are convenient for larger and oversized items. The bathroom automatically locks from within so as long as the door is closed you're good to go. All in all, the renovation was a success! No more general store inside the facilities! Boo hoo.
The ladys who take care of this place are nothing short of awesome! I give them credit for cleaning every washer after every use so laundry doesn't get ruined. There was an incident where person stole our Sox and the lady even let us see the video of her taking them! We ended up just letting rhe person have the Sox cuz we figured she needed them more then we did. We thought it was great that the cleaning lady helped us find the culprit. I will recommend this place because of the cleanliness and courtesy of the lady in charge. The price is great as well and they have very free dry Wednesday and Thursday.
I was under the impression that the dryers were free, some of them are free and others you have to pay for. I was confused. I went around 3PM on a weekday and it was very busy. The layout makes it impossible to move around comfortably and the guests are rude. There is only one area for folding and it's right in front of a row of dryers making it impossible to fold your laundry. There is a good selection of larger sized washers for a good price. If you are looking for an affordable place to do your laundry I would recommend this laundromat but I would go early in the morning or late at night.
The place was clean and washers were nice but the Attendant that was wearing the green sweater was not a nice person. She seemed annoyed....my mom went to put her soap in the wash and the lady wouldn't let her by the washer she was using. After we started our wash we came out side to sit in our car to wait but the lady came out and continued to watch us... If there was something wrong then say it...dont be werid...following us around while we try to clean our clothes and making us uncomfortable wasn't the best experience.
I love this place. I rarely have issues, but today the attendant Margarita told me I was not allowed to fold my clothes after 10pm... I'm a regular customer with a late schedule and have never had this problem before here. The last time I came when she was working she sent me out with wet clothes telling me her boyfriends grandmother had died. Now I'm thinking it was just so she could close earlier like this time. It's unfortunate since the door says "last load at 10". I'm disappointed... I really like the place
Good machines, dryers that get hot, bill changers and quarter machines, free dryers on W/Th, attendant regularly cleans surfaces, and mask policy enforced. Just watch closely when you insert quarters - some machines will not register every quarter you insert so you may lose some money. I used to go here regularly until I got a small washer/dryer unit for apartment, and now I visit just for bulky loads or when I need to dry things quickly.
Actually really like this laundry bag it was really clean totally accessible new machines price was just what it is everywhere extra time washing which I appreciate leave my clothes cleaner dryers work great basically cost you 75 cents a dollar to dry multiple size machines a restroom clean the vending machines for snacks and laundry stuff plenty of folding tables all in all good job Harold
Pleasantly surprised! This place is big and clean. The attendant cleans each machine immediately after use. Air conditioned, great location, lots of parking and the machines work great. My clothes were very clean and the dryers are hot! I put 48 minutes on full loads of towels and jeans, not knowing what to expect. They were completely dry with 13 minutes to spare. Will definitely be back!
Having just lost my own washer and dryer, I was skeptical of any laundromat. This place was better than I expected. Super clean machines that all seemed to be in working order. And the facility was spotless. Staff was cool and super friendly. Laundry is expensive, regardless. However, this place is not too steeply priced. Overall, grand experience...as far as laundry goes
Laundry place is pretty clean and you usually see someone walking around constantly cleaning all the high touched areas on washers and dryers. The ladies are pretty nice when I see them. No problems at all. And I like that on Wednesday and Thursdays, it's free dryers time after you wash. Who doesn't like saving money. Not too busy when I went in.
Hands down the best laundromat experience I have ever had and I’ve had a few. :-) Newer machines that were mostly working but maybe one, and soooo clean. There was someone there cleaning while I was there. Typical rates in my experience. Plenty of parking to wait in your vehicle or benches if you prefer. Large trash. So clean!
Pretty clean compared to other places, prices have gone up and no more free drying. 4 load was is now 5.00 and drying times are about 2 minutes less if im correct. The smaller dryers have an extra minute or 2 compared to the bigger dryers probably better to start with 50 cents. I think they may have changed owners.
Some of the washers always take more quarters than it should be, say the standard $5 one always take $5.50, this problem is here for years and it seems that they never try to fix it or refund the extra money the machines take. The good thing for this place is free drying (not anymore) and relatively clean.
Harold's Laundry was a very good place to wash, the establishment is very nice and very clean. Laundry attendant was very friendly. I will continue to give my business to Harold's Laundry from today forth. I look forward to GREAT laundry services. Great first time experience, and now I'm hooked..
Ive been coming here for the past 3 years the laundry attendants are not here for most of the time and the place is not clean. The machines constantly steal money while not registering the quarters correctly. Sitting here since 8:20am waiting for the laundry attendant to show up. Gone down hill
One concern, the restroom door stop is causing sever damage to the tile floor. This should be repaired ASAP to avoid costly repairs. I have been using this facility for about 4 months, always clean, all the washers & dryers appear to be in good condition. Please fix the door issue.
This place seems sketch at first, what with the smiley face as the only indicator a business is here. But decided to check it out. Absolutely clean, nice restroom, reasonable prices for wash and drier. One of the better places in Alb to wash. Ive seen some ragged looking places.
I LOVE coming here. I live in Los Lunas and will make the trip every time to do my laundry here. Machines are clean, great condition, speedy washes. Their wash and dry prices are extremely affordable. I’ll definitely keep coming back here as I am happy every time with my wash
Nicest laundromat I’ve ever been to. All machines are nice and clean. Building is bright and well lit on inside. 1 bill to bill exchanger, and 2 bill to coin exchanger. Free dry (with wash only) on Wednesday and Thursday! 1 snack vending machine and 1 drink vending machine.
It was clean for the most part. I used one of the big washers and I might have put a little to much but I'm not to sure. Some of the stuff seemed like it didn't get cleaned enough. Dryers are awesome staff if not talkative but that's ok she was really busy trying to close.
Super clean!!! Even the floors were clean! No powder soap residue in washer dispenser. Found this on a google map search while traveling. Glad I stopped. Makes me feel good to leave feedback to a place that deserves it! You wont be disappointed!!!
The renovations were much needed and came out great. New machines and not overly expensive. Kind of miss it being open 24 hours, but cutting back the hours and getting rid of the convenience store has reduced the seedy element factor considerably.
I came to Harold’s last Wednesday. Nicest laundromat I’ve been to. It was really clean as well. After one of my things started shedding a nice worker came and helped me out I offered to sweep it but she did it with no hesitation.
This laundromat has a variety of washer sizes which is great for comforters, small loads and medium loads. The laundromat is clean and modern making it feel welcome. There are quarter machines but no ATM so come with you cash.
The place is always clean. The machines seem newer and do a great job cleaning. The cost is reasonable. Easy access but parking can be a issue at peak times, go early or during the week while the kids are in school!
Best laundromat I ever went to very clean. Everything worked like it said it would. 2 hours where it took me 4 before. Price a bit higher than some but thier machines make up for it. All new and working perfectly.
Expensive washers, and not enough dryers for all! Kids running around playing catch over other patrons' heads was really frustrating...Christmas music playing on November 4 was annoying as hell! I won't be back.
Incredibly clean very nice machines work okay. My problem with this place is it's expensive Washington laundromat down the street it's a dollar cheaper on all of the washers The dryers are so much cheaper as
I wanted to give this place a try after reading good things. Change your hours if you aren’t going to be open at 6:30am. I sat in my car for about 15 minutes and no one showed up. It’s really unprofessional.
It's a decent size place. Everything is super clean. From washers to dryers to bathroom to the floor. Sink available and soda & snacks machine as well. Really liked it here. Also its a coin wash place …
Passing through town. Was easy to find. Clean. Good parking. Payrons were friendly, but I think that is just the ABQ way. Also, next to a kickass Mexican restaurant. I'll do a review for Padilla's, too.
Super clean, all machines were clean and working. Many laundromats don't have working coin exchange. This place has two along with a bill-to-bill exchange, soap and vending machines. Very nice.
What can I say, well lit, nice atmosphere, polite customers, well taken care of Washers and Dryers. Overall a most enjoyable experience,Oh and BTW Free Drying Time, Wednesdays and Thursdays !!
This is the cleanest laundromat I have ever been in. I sold my house and have to use a laundromat now and I will definitely be back. It is spotless and looks like all new machines too.
Very clean and not too busy many sizes of washers. Dryer didn't dry as well as I'd like, had to add more time even though the laundry got split up to prevent needing more time.
Great place to spend a quick hour or two doing all the laundry I own. Clean and efficient machines. The lady that works there is on top of keeping laundry mat running smooth
Very nice laundromat. Clean and well kept. Machines work well. Big folding tables. I hate doing laundry but, Harold's made it tolerable. A bit pricey I think, but worth it.
Best laundromat I have found in Albuquerque. It's clean, the machines work wonderfully, the staff is super nice, and since the driers actually get hot, it takes less time.
Still the best facilities in the Southwest. Well lit and secured with professional surveillance. If I owned or operated a public laundry, Harold’s would be my benchmark.
Came here on a Wednesday morning. Everything is so clean, chill, good music, tv, vending machines. Everything is taken care of for the nicest laundry experience in Abq.
Passing through town on a Sunday morning. This place was super clean. Everything worked properly and at 9:00 a.m. was pretty empty. Also, pretty close to the highway.
Very nice and clean laundry mat washers and dryers are great I love this facility I definitely will be back. This is a must for people needing an awesome laundry mat.
I'm not a regular because of the area I live, but I do go there every time I am going to be in the area and I love how clean and friendly the staff are to customers.
Very clean and spacious! First time coming here and it's very affordable. They even have Free drying every Wednesday and Thursday. HUGE dryers and washers available.
By far the most clean and well maintained laundromat I've ever visited! All the vending machines and coin changers functioned, clean restrooms, and fast free wifi.
Super clean. Very nice attendant. Free dry with wash on Wednesday and Thursday. Good prices and machines aren't out of service like the place we were going to.
It's close to home for me. They have a clean facility and helpful staff. It has been a wonderful experience to go and wash laundry. I won't go anywhere else.
I used to always go here since 2005 . They don't have the snack shop or the free dry nights so I no longer do however it is still clean and nice
By far the best place to do laundry, clean, air conditioned, and i like the big washers. Worth every penny. The employee is nice and helpful
I was surprised how clean and well kept this facility was. The prices are great. Bonus is free drying on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday's.
The machines work really well. The Environment is extremely clean and you can get a big load done in no time, to include dry time.
Clean, plenty of machines. Coin machine inside, ATM in parking lot Wish they answered a phone and had the ATM in the building.
Used the wash and fold service when traveling through town with messy kids! Excellent service, so thankful, highly recommend
I enjoy laundry day everytime, not too busy I like that, get out of there quick, very clean, awesome free dry wednesday.
Was trying to become a new customer they would not answer the phone called four + times Nope, going somewhere else.
Prices are high.. and no gentle cycle just basic wash and dry.. and the change machine stole 50 cents from me lol
This is a good place to do laundry . They have FREE drier on Wensday and Thursday. Big washers Hot driers. …
Super clean place to do laundry. They have wifi, desk areas and vending machines. It's pricey but worth it.
I love that laundromat. Its clean and friendly people there. Plus Wednesday and Thursdays is are free dry.
My family and do laundry here, the machines are clean and the lady that works there is nice and helpful
One star for the rude female attendant. Spent way too much money on the dryers this time.
Best laundromat in town! It's so clean! The washers are clean, the floors, everything.
Clean organize, in good condition laundry pkace
Cleanest Laundrymat I've ever been to
