Park
"I'm from Ceduna and used to beaches on every corner, this one was just as great but in a different way"
"Again, another loo with no toilet paper next to the playground"
"Nice place for kids to have fun and close enough to the beach, it all have the playground equipment like flying fox, a platform with binoculars"
"This is our favourite park at West Beach"
"Amazing end of the west beach"
I'm from Ceduna and used to beaches on every corner, this one was just as great but in a different way.. The sand is so clear, you could actually go deep enough into the water to swim without reaching seaweed or being a scary distance away from shore. Wouldn't recommend looking for shells/rocks here, I only saw about 1 of each. The waves weren't too big but they slammed you in the shallow a bit (21km wind day for reference).
Dog-friendliness
There were plenty of dogs, all seemed to have enough room not to be bothered by or bother strangers.
Again, another loo with no toilet paper next to the playground...or should I say 2 loose with no paper!!! The playground was wicked with a flying fox which my kid loved but after lactose intolerant child got caught twice in a week taking a dump in a public toes only to find no loo paper...it has come apparent Mum needs to take a toilet roll into public toilets adjacent to playgrounds in Adelaide!!
Nice place for kids to have fun and close enough to the beach, it all have the playground equipment like flying fox, a platform with binoculars.
Playground
Nice area to bring kids
Restrooms
There are toilets but it's a 100metre walks south
Dog-friendliness
Dog friendly area seen dogs walking with lead
Picnic area
There are some tables but didn't see a barbecue area
This is our favourite park at West Beach. There's lots of room to spread out & sheltered seating areas. The playground is great for kids & lots of fun. You can see the ocean from here & watch the kites & spot the ships coming in. The seagulls are plentiful but they didn't annoy us, they just quietly waited for food. The most polite seagulls I've ever come across...
Amazing end of the west beach. There's plenty of parking and some outdoor play equipment for the kids towards the left of the carpark. Walking down towards the sea you come to a wide open expanse of sandy beach ideal for a picnic. Plus there's usually a Greek food truck and an amazingly good ice cream truck during business hours just on the carpark.
Fantastic little reserve and park for big and small children to play when not down at the beach. Multiple bench seats and picnic tables for sharing meals or having a celebration down at the beach. Well looked after grassed area to setup picnics or keep an eye on the children as they play. Two parking areas north and south, so plenty parks available
What a waste of tax payers money. Was this meant to be an 'upgrade' ?? We had a perfectly fun, shaded, varied playground before, now it's a walking platform for a view, you could just get by standing on the footpath. The new slide is too short and no new playground equipment has been provided. How much did this cost???
We were only walking through it but did get to watch two mothers with a child each utilising the facilities. All four were having a ball of a time and it was great to watch. We did appreciate the tree shade and the access paths to the beach. I would recommend coming to this park any day.
A lovely lawn area with a playground for the children. There's a path along the foreshore which great for walking, running, cycling, etc. Can be quite busy early-mid morning on weekends due to park-run and other events. Is next to and shares the same carpark as West Beach Sailing Club.
Nice park, kids loved it. Toilet facilities are very poor though, always filthy.
Playground
Nice playground, kids liked it.
Restrooms
Absolutely disgusting!
Picnic area
Nice areas to sit for a picnic.
playground with covers and table under cover. toilet is about 400 meters walk away. easy access to beach and has a shower for washing off sand. no bbq nearby, 2 good sized trees, and more about 100 meters away.
Nice place with all the amenities you need on the beach. The beach is in the middle of famous Henley and Glenelg beaches. I prefer to go to this beach as the other two beaches are crowded.
Nice, clean. Great playground. Good to see on the Education boards how the environment, the dunes are recovered.
Playground
Great!
Restrooms
Clean- well, whe I visited
Great place to pause while on a bicycle ride North or South along the coast. There is also lots of parking and easy access to the beach. A coffee shop is under the sailing club.
Stunning white sand beach that appears to go on forever. My visit was a refreshing dip in the calm waves of the ocean, and a smile to see others having fun in the sun.
Awesome reserve. As its not as busy as henleybor glenelg. Really good kids playground and walk path. Good jetty overall really good for a relaxing family day out
stellar park with lots of shade and lots of sun, plenty of spots to sit and picnic in the nice sea air. and there is a flying fox, that’s all that matters
Beautiful sea view of West Beach. Playground is suitable for children of all ages. It's great to jog or bike along the beach.
Great little park area for a weekend picnic with the family. With nearby bbq, playground and beach for everyone to enjoy
