Picture it....mid February, 2019. A mother and child are on a leisurely walk around their neighborhood when a black man in a huge gas guzzling SUV stops the car on the street next to them and rolls down the car window. He says, "Hello". So, the mother replies back and the man asks her where she came from. Puzzled, the woman says, "Where did we come from?" The man shakes his head and says yes. The woman looks at him and says nothing because it is none of his business, right? Of course, the mother is freaking out internally and squeezes her child's hand. Then, the man says, "Oh, just on a walk around the neighborhood?" After the woman says yes, he says that he is just right there and drives into this location. Creeped out, the woman quickly walks away. She googles the office later and finds out she was questioned by none other than Rodney "what are you doing in my neighborhood" Ellis, politician extraordinaire. The woman is me of course. What a strange and insulting encounter with someone who is an elected official. Way to promote a sense of community! Just to let you know Rod, me and my son will probably be walking past there tomorrow. Don't want to alarm you! LMAO!
Horrible place to work...Progressive values are only surface-level, they do not put any of them to practice in this office. The communications director recruited me personally just to fire me on the spot after working for 3 weeks with no warning or indication that I did anything wrong. Did not have any onboarding, training, or welcome. Very cold, terrible management with no team building and no office culture. Worst workplace and team I have ever come across... VERY unfriendly to women and young professionals. Do not work here!!
Commissioner Ellis, was no help for me or other county employees when we needed him the most. I reported mishandling of Hurricane Harvey files and that I was being retaliated against for reporting. He did nothing, I definitely will not be voting or encouraging anyone to vote for a man, who doesn’t represent the people or who is against corruption !!!
The worst! Modern day criminals under the guise of "policy". What happened to integrity? It's evident this office , the Park's Dept., and the dishonest deputies they contract for security have absolutely NO integrity!
Deputy Constable Puglia shame on you for parking your motorcycle blocking a handicap spot.
Drop box was small and I had to stuff my envelope. Easy parking.
They do whatever they want, not what the people want!
