If I could leave a lower star rating than one star – I would. I purchased a new TV from Harvey Norman Moonah recently. In the time it took to for the TV to be delivered to my house I researched the panel technology further and came to the conclusion that unfortunately it wouldn’t be what I was looking for in a new TV. After the TV was delivered I didn’t open it and left it untouched. Within 24 hours of the TV being delivered we contacted Harvey Norman Moonah requesting to return the TV as it wasn’t going to be fit for purpose. Harvey Norman Moonah management treated us very rudely in response, bullying us and making vague accusations that we were attempting to do something dodgy in requesting the return. They finally told us they would only accept the return if we paid them an additional $600! When the delivery drivers turned up to our home they wouldn’t take the TV back unless they were allowed to open and plug it in – in our home. On communicating to Harvey Norman Moonah management that this was one step too far they refused to return the TV. At the time of writing this review JB HIFI offers a 30 day 100% refund policy on unopened and unused products. We will not be giving Harvey Norman Moonah our business ever again. Bullying, threats, accusations and additional charges are no way to treat customers. That behavior goes way beyond bad customer service.

Purchased a laptop computer on June 22 online to pick up at this store. After 3 days I received an email to say they were out of stock and would let me know when it would arrive. After 3 weeks I went in to inquire about the status. After a 20 minute wait to get served I was assured it was on it's way and would arrive on Tuesday July 18. I waited until Thursday July 20 and after no response went back in store for another 20 minute wait to get served. This time I was told the manager was away and he could do nothing about it. He wrote a note for the manager to call me and marked it urgent. 24 hours later and no response from the manager I march back in there and finally meet the manager who finally had my computer. All I got was a lot of excuses and a sorry. I thought they would have thrown in a case or something extra for all the trouble I had gone through but no they just took my money. Never again Harvey Norman. Follow up. Laptop had to go back for warranty repair. I was told it could be a while because they shut down over christmas. So I patiently waited for several weeks. After my patients run out I called them only to find my laptop had been back there for some time. They system said I had been notified to collect it but this did not happen. If I hadn't of called them it would have just sat there to rust away.

Next day the camera didn’t operate and i took back for return the same staff who was assisting me on the day of purchased was on counter i asked him for return but he only said can do refund of camera not memory card . He asked me the cover of memory card it was in seal pack i opened and used it but the other hard part of cover was still there but he didn’t refund for my memory card. That is disgusting service without proper information people think they can do and change words whenever they want. Very rude and bad customer service those people shouldn’t be in that job . Really annoyed and frustrated people out there zero customer service manner.Never ever visit again that store.

This shop has literally the worst customer service response time I have ever seen. Every time I come here I have to stand waiting for half an hour so they can unlock a cabinet and sell me something. It really isn't hard to have a staff member floating the floor filling that role. I avoid shopping here whenever I can simply because of the inevitable wait. A YEAR LATER I MADE THE MISTAKE OF GOING IN AGAIN, I THOUGHT MAYBE THEY WERE MOTIVATED TO ACTUALLY MAKE SALES BY NOW. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME, THEY LITERALLY PRETENDED TO ORDER SOMETHING IN FOR ME AND DIDNT. NOW SUDDENLY THEY HAVE DECIDED THEY HAVE MY COMPUTER IN STOCK. A LIKELY STORY, MORE LIKELY THEY ARE TRYING TO OFFLOAD A RETURN ON ME AND PRETENDING IT IS A NEW ONE!

DO NOT waste your money in purchasing extra product care with your mobile. Took back in today as had a issue with water damage accident. When purchased phone with the extra warranty I was told that something like this would be covered and any other issues a replacement would be arranged. Well not today the guy we spoke to was rude and blunt and told us that nothing like that is covered in the product care replacement policy.Now honestly why can 2 salesman that both worked in the same store tell someone two different things.... very disappointed if I'd known the outcome of today would of never purchased the extra product care or the mobile

The products are good value and the store is nice. Only three stars in this review though as their online ordering process for click and collect is clunky and a poor shopping experience, in particular where orders are placed and the purchaser nominates someone else to pick up. Same day click and collect is advertised and there is a separate form to nominate a "collector" but the gotcha is that the form isn't automated and can take up to 3 days for someone to action! If you are looking for same day click and collect but nominating someone else, go to JB HiFi as they've an integrated process for this and it is no fuss.

Great big store with very helpful staff! There are some current constraints with stock due to covid, but that is the same everywhere and hopefully it will improve in the near future. We had an especially good experience with Belinda who was so patient with all our questions and offered great advice. She was very accommodating and made our purchase of new white goods an extremely pleasant experience. Thank you so much and we will be visiting this particular store again for everything we might need.

I think we were the most fussiest, indecisive customers he had today, when choosing a TV yet he was ever so calm, friendly, polite, and a respectable man. He wasn’t pushy for a sale but helped us to the best he could and would give us time to decide what was best for us. Went into this store yesterday. Staff was more interested in their lives than giving customer service. Maybe they should scrub up on what they sell while they have the time because when someone eventually did come over I asked about a product and straight away got told NO we don’t sell that but when I said the Cambridge store had it what a surprise it comes up on their computer and they do carry it but none in stock. Think I’ll travel the extra kms next time

I had the best experience at HN Moonah today (Thurs 23 Jan, 2020). Staff went above and beyond to assist me with my purchases. The salesman was very knowledgable and patient. The fantastic service goes all the way through to the men in the warehouse who loaded my car. They were very kind and careful ensuring the load was safely secured. I am extremely grateful for their time and patience. I really can't thank them enough. HIGHLY recommend the Moonah store.

Well I can't even say I received bad service, because I didn't receive any service at all! I waited for about 15 minutes to get assistance. So I'm hoping the 3 staff members from the electrical department's conversation was more important than selling me a $350 product. Unfortunately with this review I had to give a star for it to post, I wouldn't even rate them 1 star!

Harvey Norman is a good place to shop for pretty much anything for the home. On this occasion I purchased a refrigerator, got what we need and service was really helpful without being pushy , the prices a certainly competitive so all in all very happy. To top it off I received a follow up phone call two days later asking if All was well.

Very pushy to buy extra add ons. Talked up buying internet security which I did need but failed to tell me it already came with the computer I was buying free for 3 months and it would have been way cheaper ($50) to keep the already installed software. I would go back and get a refund but the 1 drive isn’t worth it.

I went there to look at ovens today and the guy that served me had the most product knowledge and I managed to make a decision very quickly. Also yesterday I went there for a vacuum cleaner and the girl that served me was the same, so they obviously train their staff extremely well. A great store!!!

The salesman in the electronic section could not understand or communicate very well. I brought a canon product and their customer support was hopeless so rang back harvey norman spoke to a manager who was fantastic and solved the issue so it took a while to be happy thus the rating

Huge store, ample parking around rear of building, off side street. Very helpful staff, but you gotta be careful not to get pushed into a purchase. Prices above average, but often a warranty is available & you don't need to keep your receipt, as they keep your details on record!

yeah ok, busy when i was there. no one said hello. i could see the kitchen was open, but not a single chef. we waited for a table but no one served us. and the amount of tvs really let down the atmosphere. maybe next time someone will have a better time than me.

I wanted a new TV. We left with a toaster . At least I can eat toast whilst watching kids shows with my son while knowing that one day I'll be able to watch football again . Then again the way the Swans are going probably better off with Pokemon journeys.

Can't praise the guys in the refrigeration department enough. We brought a new fridge Saturday morning and one hour later it was delivered for us. The delivery guys were friendly and obliging, so this branch in Moonah deserves 5 stars and our thanks.

Always the most helpful of the HN stores. Spent th$$$000s as the advice is good and given freely. TV x 2, surface pro, vacuums x 2, fridge, freezer just to name a few purchases. Never had an issue. Thoroughly recommended.
