I would not recommend this clinic because its director Roman Kosnevitch is hostile and unprofessional. I had never seen him before these two times since my original dentist left. Already he already refused to care for me. I came in for a tooth feeling funny. He immediately recommended for an X-ray. Since I had this problem, in the record as well, for quote some time, I questioned if the X-ray taken recently could offer some clue, as the insurance only covers limited times of x-ray a year. He became annoyed. After I agreed to take the x-ray, it turned out there is nothing new in the new x-ray from the old. The only recommendation he gave was to wear night guard to reduce the pressure, which I did not tell him I was already not clenching any more. He made fun of me for not wearing the night guard. if he wants to wear , and he does, to be funny and cannot even talk straight during night, go ahead. Not me, also it is not a problem any more. But he insisted that is the reason. Later, after the night guard recommendation and making fun and blaming, I thought everything was done. He suddenly offered to test my nerves , if they are alive. I was not sure it was necessary, because I came because it felt funny, hot, sensitive to biting, etc. if the nerves were not alive, I would not have felt those. I wanted him to clarify, because I did not want to suffer the cold and hot tests. He got annoyed and spoke very rude. And he declared, he could not treat me any more. Before I left, he hostilely referred to my mouth in a disgusted way. I had discolored teeth due to taking cheap antibiotic dumped from US to the third world at very young age. I had gone with the hygienist in that clinic for a few years. I asked if I could continue, but he suggested not to. I guess, since he is the "director" , he would only want to get me out, not even considering switching a dentist. What a horrible person! REply to the reply: I don't know who it is referring to : 5 dental professional, etc. I only had one dentist before seeing this one twice (once was just a quick check after cleaning). This particular management is the director himself, and by saying untrue things about me , without addressing the complains I wrote directly, tells what truly happened! To be honest, I won't even use him for emergency. Because the issue with my tooth is in the gum, none of the x-ray and proposed nerve testing would tell! what a waste of money! The free of charge appointment, is an after fact after he decided not to care for me. I have insurance, who are you giving your charity to??

The dentists at Hazeldean Dental Group are nothing short of sincere and professional. I came to their clinic about 2 years ago after a poor experience at my previous dental office (of 15 years) in Nepean. After a thorough new patient exam and new x-rays, the proposed treatment for the tooth trauma I suffered in an accident began immediately. Both Dr. Kosnevitch and Dr. Merkley along with their respective assistants put my mind at ease and got to work. What I appreciate the most about this clinic is that they don’t sugarcoat difficult news and explain things thoroughly. They are also up front about possible treatments and always give me more than one option to consider after providing all information. Their office is inviting and everyone at the front reception knows your name. When they have appointment cancellations they actually call their other patients and offer earlier appointments. I highly recommend this Hazeldean Dental Group especially for anyone who is looking for an excellent family-like feel with reliable, consistent advice in a calm and organized office.

I did wake up with a bad non bearable tooth ache I drove to Hazeldean dental as they advertised they accept emergency patients I waited for over and hour to get seen which is ok, they took couple of xrays and scheduled me for next week...WHAT THE HELL I'M IN PAIN NOW....why would you accept me if you won't treat me....they charged me for xrays and the PLAN....I went to Dr Robert Jack who scheduled me at 1:00pm but due to the pain I was going through I was there at 12:00pm so he welcomed me asked me to come in and freeze my tooth and covered me to rest and continued working with his other patient and what a comfort that was. Then he treated me on the spot because he understood the pain I was going through I did not have to wait a WEEK... He only needed one xray to diagnose not 2 ...Not like the Dr. Romanowski from Hazeldean Dental who saw me in pain took his money and sent me home with prescription of pain killer the didn't stop the pain!! Hazeldean Dental Group bottom line is making money and not the comfort or feelings of their patients.

From the moment I step into their office, I'm met with efficient, thorough, and compassionate care. On my latest visit, Dr. Tamaru and her assistant Lorrie explained every step of the work they were doing and checked in regularly to make sure I was comfortable with each component before proceeding. Dr. Tamaru was gentle and conscientious of her work, so I felt very little discomfort compared to other dentists I've visited. I followed this with a cleaning by Diane, who was also precise and gentle, and provided just the right amount of conversation. At the end of each of these appointments, all options were summarized and I was welcomed to ask more questions. What I was most pleased with was the feeling that I was not being pressured; all viable options were presented for my issues, regardless of cost. The front desk staff greeted me with smiles and quick care before and after. I really have never been more impressed by a dental centre. Highly recommend!

- Long wait times unless it's for the initial appointment. - Last cleaning appointment had to be booked more than 6 months ahead. Sometimes, they try to make you book multiple appointments for the same cleaning but if you insist on one, somehow they manage to complete it. - One of the fillings, which they did, on the molar developed a cavity; the dentist just said it's normal because maybe some material came out and then he just scraped the black stuff out of it. The filling on that molar feels thin and it feels like it can crack where the chip is. - A crown cracked within 6 months, they refused to replace it unless they shave off part of the bone to lengthen the tooth for a different material. Now I don't have insurance any coverage left and will be out of more than $1000 to replace it. Edit: well, the above mentioned filling had a piece fall out; the filling lasted around 8 months or so.

I have been a customer for over 25 years. I hear we get free electric toothbrushes from this dental group once you reach this milestone of being a great customer for 25 years!! The front office staff have always been so courteous and helpful in helping with insurance claims, changing appointment times and payments for our family of 5. I have been through about 5 dentists in my 25 years and each one continues to be an improvement over the other. Their partners for special work, like Dr Aleyn do fantastic work. Most importantly, my dental hygenist, Erin, does a fantastic and painless job of my routine cleanings and checkups. She is thorough and I always look forward to my teeth cleaning, which is not something I used to look forward to. I highly recommend this clinic for you and your family of all ages.

I never write reviews, but I wanted to make sure it was known that Hazeldean Dental has taken incredibly good care of me. I hadn't been to the dentist is quite a while and was nervous about the costs and not understanding what needed to be done to get my oral health in check. The receptionists are so knowledgeable and walked me through each step of the process of setting up my insurance and direct billing. Dr. Merkley is incredible with ensuring I felt comfortable with the work being done. The dental hygienists are just as great, and are happy to talk me through the appointment and explain what they are doing as they do it. I really recommend this office. I'm so happy to find a dental office that makes me feel welcomed and taken care of.

I showed up with agonizing tooth pain. I had been up all night and taken every painkiller in the house. They brought me in right away and the dentist put freezing in for me before he even did the x-rays. I was really shaky and out of it so they covered me with a warm blanket and let me rest in one of the vacant chairs. They called around and got me set up with an oral surgeon to take out the tooth. They even checked on me every few minutes to make sure I was ok. This office went above and beyond providing me with the highest level of care. Thank you very much and I would recommend this office highly to everyone.

In order to know which dentist is best for you, you should try many different ones. In my case, all my life I have had experience with 8 different clinics and I must say this one I like the most. First of all I want to mention the work of the dentist. The work was done quickly and carefully. This you can feel only if you have a big history with different clinics. And at the same time all my questions was answered. I also liked the assistant. Excellent teamwork. The guys at the reception desk also do an excellent job. Paper work with my insurance was done perfect.

When I met Dr.Gallardo for the first time, he explained everything clearly. He made me feel comfortable with his experience. The Dr Gallardo always does an excellent job. As much as I do not like going to the dentist, he makes the visit to the dentist very comfortable. Last we I have a root canal , he explained everything to me as he was doing it. His explanations were concise and understandable . I’m extremely happy with my visits. I’ve already shared my experience with family and friends. I definitely recommend my dentist for anyone looking for a dental care.

Roxanne has been my hygienist for many years and I think her professionalism and dedication to my teeth is excellent (better than I take care of my teeth!). Best dental office in Ottawa. All the lovely ladies at the front desk are amazing and have incredible customer service. My dentist, Dr. Kosnevitch, and his assistant, Chantel, are an amazing team together. They always do a great job and make me feel comfortable as I get antsy on the chair. I’ve always hated going to the dentist until I started going here! Dr.Gallardo is the best dentist I’ve ever had. He makes things comfortable and pain free! I’ve also had my veneers done by Dr.G and he completely changed my life!! The admin staff are just the greatest and really care about their patients! I’ve sent my mom here as well and as much as she doesn’t like dentist either, she always says positive things about Dr.G and her fear is no more!!

STAY AWAY. I went in for an extraction. Dr. Gallardo did the surgery and cut my tongue calling it an accidental scrape due to "having to pull my tongue away". He did stitch it but now I can't feel part of my tongue and it doesn't feel like it will go away. Feels like he cut a nerve and I may not regain sensitivity. I had no insurance so it all came out of my pocket... And yes they charged me for the whole procedure. You take your own conclusions.

Always a great experience...from my interactions with the girls at the desk, the Hygienists and of course Dr. Tamaru. Everyone is kind, and always concerned with my comfort. They explain everything they are doing/going to do and constantly check in during any procedure to make sure I'm O.K. They should be commended for being so resilient and adaptable during this stressful pandemic, while still providing excellent patient care!

What can I say about Dr Tamaru and her team. They are simply the best!! I’ve had dental issues over the past few weeks which ended up having to do a root canal. Dr Tamaru rearranged her day to squeeze me in as I was suffering with pain. They are professional and efficient and always put you at ease. This place is the most well run and organized medical facility I have ever been to. I have been with them for about 5 years, and they never fail to respond to requests quickly and efficiently. This has been my dentist for many many years sense I was a little girl. They have always been amazing. When my sever anxiety started they became even more amazing . My dentist I can't spell his name correctly but he always doubled checked every few minutes to make sure I'm fine . Offered a few breaks. He is truly amazing. I'd reccomnd HDG in a heart beat

Having transferred to Hazeldean Dental office based on a friend's recommendation I have been delighted to discover that the thoroughness and technical expertise of procedures done by Dr. Kosnevitch, and Diane's hygienist's work, is far more detailed than any other dental office in my experience. Dental appointments have become a pleasant experience.

This place insisted I have a root canal for a filling that fell out. When I asked for another option, they referred to me to a surgeon to have the tooth pulled elsewhere. Their bottom line is making money and not the comfort or feelings of their customers. I took my business elsewhere that did I did not have to wait weeks to get my tooth repaired.

Horrible admin staff. I specifically asked for services covered under my dental plan. I specified this several times prior to making an additional appointment. After my appointment I was charged the full amount and told my plan did not cover the service. I had no choice but to pay. They have lost me as a client and my family as well.

I called only to see if they did zoom whitening. The response was: “Well… are you a patient here?” I said “No, I am not.” “Well, you need a full exam and we are booking into the spring” I advised her she didn’t answer my original question just if they did zoom whitening. “Well… that would be a yes, but…” I hung up.

Dr. Kosnovitch is one of the best dentists I’ve been to. He explains every detail/procedure/move and tries his best to save teeth. He is very professional, good sense of humour, detailed and good knowledge of his profession. I would definitely recommend him as a dentist to anyone needing a good dentist.

I am very happy at Hazeldean Dental. I have never had such a thorough examination - gums, teeth, cancer of the mouth, etc. Painless cleaning is lovely. They are not pushy when suggesting things that need to be done - since my insurance coverage has its limitation. I am a happy customer!

Both dentists and hygienists are way too salesy. Also this place is unreasonably expensive – they charged me one and a half times more than my regular hygienist.

My kid had a dental emergency, they were able to see him immediately and help him out. Great and knowledgeable staff.
