Took my cat here for 2 years, trying to find what was causing her wheezing/runny nose. I kept being told she had “feline asthma”, was recommended some $300 Darth Vader mask style inhaler for her (did not buy, knowing it would distress her) + a steroid injection every 6 weeks for almost a year. After my last visit to this place, I came home to find my cat with a swollen face and bloodshot eyes. Took her to my boyfriends vet in Seville, where she received PROPER care. She was diagnosed with a form of nasal cancer quite common with cats, plus anemia and sepsis that — in this new vet’s opinion — was caused by the recent treatment of my prior vet. My cat was lucky to still be alive, and not because of the cancer (which she was able to live with quite comfortably and good quality of life for 2 years on the right medication). If this vet was a doctor treating humans, I’d sue him for malpractice. Have told other locals this story, and they’ve shared similar experiences where their cats have been misdiagnosed or mistreated by this vet. Avoid like the plague, and go to Seville vet instead. Writing this review only now because I have friends who just moved to this area and have bought their first ever pet. My cat had two types of sinus cancer, the early symptoms of which can easily be confused as a type of infection called cryptococcal. To all the pet owners out there, please look for warning signs that your pet is not well. Never question getting a second or third vet opinion if you feel something just isn't right. Sinus cancer is an insidious disease, and not one I would want any animal to go through.

These guys are a great clinic and now that they have moved into the new building it's even better. I've had my 2 furbabies with these guys for years and during my eldest's illness (and a rare one at that!) and fighting to save her but ending up needing to let her go, the whole team were really good. Emma especially is an amazing vet and her love for the animals shines through. And Brett is really knowledgeable and can help put you at ease about any worries about your pets. Even the vets that fill in or are there less frequently, it's clear also how much they put the animals first and advocate so well for us putting our pets before our own wants, which I personally think shows they are great vets. The nurses are also great and really showed my little girl as much care as they could for the times I couldn't be there or needed to leave her on a drip overnight. Highly recommend.

GREAT VET, great service. The owner Brett is a very compassionate, knowledgeable and excellent vet.. I personally work In the veterinary industry so my standard of a vet is exceptionally high. I take my animals to my work, but if I wasn't id certainly take them to Brett. I did once require Healesville vets service. It was 2am and most vets are shut (including my work) I rang Healesville vets after hours number, it was 2 days before christmas and Brett still came in at 2am. They have very good prices on all veterinary products and services. From an insiders perspective that has a very large working knowledge of the industry, I would recommend this clinic to all :)

These people are incredibe They diagnosed my girl just by observing her and a thorough examination and investigation of her history My dog was very sick this vet visit was a second opinion as the Vet practice I took her to before Healsville were not thorough and sent me home with pain killers sayimg my Brandy was old had arthritis and a bit of doggie Demeture not so she had a brain tumor which caused a seizure and gave her brain damage she was PTS at Healsville ever so gently and with so much compassion four days after the first dianoses I would highly recommend this practice Thank you girls n Vets Bret and Emma ♥

I have very mixed feelings about my experience with Healesville Vets. I rang after hours because my cat was going down hill rapidly. The male vet I spoke to was extremely rude and blunt and if I wasn’t so concerned about my cats suffering I would have hung up. Luckily the female vet that met me at the clinic was much more polite and compassionate and helped me make the very difficult decision to put my cat down. She gave my daughter and I time to decide and was very nurturing to our very beautiful pet. I thank her for her assistance at such a difficult time. She was so professional unlike her colleague.

The male vet on call was the most condescending and rudest vet I have ever met clearly I interupted his quite Sunday when my dog and much loved family pet ,inconveniently was bitten by a snake. His comments such as...I could be stuffing around all , afternoon with this treatment ...and when I stated I didn't care how much the treatment cost ...Oh I've heard that one before ...infering that I looked the type that wouldn't be able to pay for the $1327 bill ... insulting....no call since to see howy dog is oh and bill paid in full BTW never will I consider this get again.

Best veterinary clinic in Yarra Valley. Thanks to Brett and Rebecca for yesterday's home visit. These two made a very hard day as easy as possible for us, to say farewell to our big boy Jerry Lee. The experience of Brett really showed, he was very kind, and compassionate. He helped us make the right decision for our much loved dog. We cant thank you guys enough. Never anything less than compassionate, highly professional service and Brett has literally saved my current dog's life on two separate occasions. One instance occurred on a New Year's Day when he was picnicking with his children and he responded to my call for help and performed a long delicate operation on her without a word of complaint. This has been our vet of choice since the day it opened and having experienced many vets, both personally and professionally, I can confirm that I would never take my animals anywhere else.

The staff here were not only very lovely and accommodating, but also very knowledgeable in their line of work. Having pocket pets, it is difficult to find a good vet to treat them as not many, it seems, know a lot about smaller critters. But Healesville Veterinary Clinic was by far the most outstanding vet I have ever visited with my tiny babies. I felt very safe entrusting the care of my fur babies with the staff here. I could not recommend them more.

I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough! As a pet owner, it's always tough to see your pets not feeling well, but the excellent care and attention we have received from the entire clinic team have made all the difference. My family and i have been coming here ever since i was a kid. We would never go anywhere else with our pets . They are great here from the vets themselves to the vet nurses they are always caring and going above and beyond every time. Prices are also very reasonable. I have had to use their after hours a couple of times which has always also been amazing. The do a fantastic job here! Thank you for everything you do

I have been to this place many times with my 2 cats,the vets have been great and their knowledge and passion for the animals have been fantastic,great parking and not expensive,I do not have photos as they were to move the next day to new premises,out of the main St and shopping centre to a much better parking and easier to get to,will send photos of new premises just outside Healesville

If I could give 10 stars I would! Every time we have gone to Healesville Vet they have looked after our fur babies as if they were there own We will be forever grateful for all the care they provide our babies Nothing is ever a bother and no question is too much! We will never change vets again and always drive the hour just so we can deal with this amazing team!

We recently moved to the area and heard great things about this vet. I had to take in a friend’s dog many times as he was going to be flown to NZ. They did all the tests etc so well as they’re quite strict. They had to perform a low grade surgery on him too. They are very reasonable in prices. A friendly country community vet. Highly recommend

Just saw Dr Brett for the first time (after hours) who likely saved both of my dogs (x2) life. They had consumed an entire block of dark chocolate- my little dog is only 3.5kgs- I’m not sure she would have made it through the night. He was kind and patient swift and thorough. We will be back. Hopefully the next visit will be planned.

My Labrador is nearly 6 years old and been going to this vet since then. Lovely vets and nurses. They all love animals and care deeply for them. Never have a problem booking an appointment and had to use out of hours once due to emergency and found the service amazing and well priced.

The Healsville Vet Clinic is great. Friendly staff, lovely facilities. I had lots of questions about my dog and the staff were very informative and explained everything really clearly. They are also better priced than other vets in my area. Very happy with their service.

Very happy with the knowledge and skills of this clinic. Brett definately knows what hes doing, happy to call this place my regular vet, even when i live 40 min away. My two shepherds, Nova and Bear both love a visit as they get liver treats each time!

We found a kangaroo that had been hit by a car. Sarah the Vet came and sedated it while we waited on the Police to euthanize it. She was wonderful with it. People please stop if you hit an animal it may be injured.

Cannot speak highly enough of Brett and the team at Healesville Vet Clinic. We have had a couple of late night emergencies with one of our dogs and Brett has been amazing and come in to see us late at night.

Always treated my pets with care and compassion; shows a lot of compassion to owners too, we had to have our dog put down and they were lovely and kind and everything we needed them to be.

Very professional and well priced vet. Treated my Doberman for a difficult cut on her pad and ended up not even being charged for multiple check ups which is unheard of. Highly recommend.
