The trees here are difficult to climb, but if one takes the effort the spectacular views of the Torrens pristine brown waters are reward enough. The surrounding areas are bristling with native wildlife and, with the right skill set, a forager like myself can live off the land for months at a time. Always remember to respect the environment and fill in any burrows once your stay in this enchanting reserve concludes.
A delightful piece of urban forest along the bike track. Prior to deforestation by the colonials this was red river gum tree country. Plus some industrial wasteland which nature is starting to reclaim. I hope the idea of losing this piece of bush close to the city centre by turning it into a basketball stadium is buried and forgotten.
