I recently had a disappointing encounter with Hertz Car Rental Company that has left me utterly dissatisfied. After eagerly booking a car and paying the full amount, I anticipated a smooth and hassle-free experience. Regrettably, this was far from reality. Merely two days following my reservation, I received an unexpected call from Hertz, informing me that the car I had booked was not available, and consequently, they were canceling my reservation. This turn of events left me in utter disbelief. The lack of professionalism displayed by Hertz is nothing short of appalling. Not only did they fail to honor their commitment, but the abrupt cancellation also disrupted my plans, leaving me in a precarious position. Dealing with a company that operates in such a disorganized manner is both frustrating and inconvenient. It is disheartening to see a company that claims to provide a service not live up to even the most basic expectations. To add insult to injury, the process of securing a refund for the full payment I had made was an arduous and protracted ordeal. Hertz's inefficiency and apparent disregard for customer satisfaction were evident throughout the refund process, adding further frustration and inconvenience to an already exasperating situation. I urge anyone considering renting a car from Hertz to exercise caution. Trusting this company might result in disappointment and unnecessary inconvenience, especially if one's plans are time-sensitive. Such disregard for customer satisfaction and unprofessional conduct is not something to be taken lightly. I strongly advise potential customers to explore other, more reliable options to avoid falling victim to Hertz's deceptive practices. It is regrettable to label a company as a scam, but my experience compels me to caution others. Hertz's actions have had a profound impact on my travel plans, and I sincerely hope that my unfortunate encounter serves as a warning to others. No & Never

Fraudulent transactions and theft. Be vary careful of this company, we were charged 2 credit card transactions that were not authorised, we had no contact from HERTZ about the charges before they were billed to our card, the charges were apparently for late return fee that was agreed to be paid by comminsure. We didn't even organize the hire of the car, the car was hired and paid for by comminsure. We took the car back washed, clean and full of fuel. We will be filing dispute with our bank about the shady transactions. I rang Campbellfield to ask about the transactions, they transferred me 4 times to other departments, each department coming up with some line about it not being their problem, in the end it got a bit heated only then did the last person send an email to Campbellfield BCC'd me on the email, i then got a call back from Campbellfield by a person who likes to keep talking over you like you're not even there. Got nowhere with her, probably should do some training on customer resolution practices. Wont be using them again, they didn't even give us the car that was agreed to at time of booking by Comminsure and Hertz in a 3 way phone booking, we arrived to pick up the car, supposed to be a Toyota Kluger and they tried to give us a tiny little Hyundai. Nothing but incompetence from the get go. Probably better to steer clear of this lot.

Horrible service. I booked online to pick up a van on Saturday at 10:30am and I arrived 15 mins before, however, I got the van at 11:00am because there was only one attendant handling bookings and returning. When I finally signed the papers he told me it was going to cost me $177 instead of $172 because of the card fee. I told him I could pay in cash, but he told me they don't accept. Service is pretty bad and they mislead you with incomplete prices on website. That's why carnextdoor is going to dominate the market, because you easily get the car anytime and faster. Also, all prices are clearly stated when you are booking.

Fair prices and nice staff. Only let down was when filling up the tank, staff didn't warn of the "frothing" that can occur. So when the pump kept registering as full, we returned the vehicle. Only to then be told that we should have allowed the froth to settle...we were charged about $3 per ltr we missed. $135 worth. Yikes. Ah well, the truck came with everything we needed with no extra cost. Trolley, rope and tank of gas all provided. Good service and good hire price.

We are very happy with the service we received from Shalakha & Jessie after they swapped our hire car last week because the multimedia screen kept turning off. They went above & beyond to ensure we left in a car with a working screen even upgrading us at no extra charge to ensure our Apple Carplay would work so we could access maps as we are from interstate. Highly recommend & cannot thank you both enough. The second week of hire was very smooth!

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Having used rental companies all around the world this is BY FAR the worst customer service and rental experience EVER. Over an hour to check in (even though WE WERE ON TIME)... Were NOT shown to the vehicle we hired. Worth of all they charged more than agreed on because "We should have been told about the additional cost" ... Well maybe we SHOULD have... but the incompetent staff DIDN'T

The team at Campberfield truck hire are always awesome, helpful & accommodating… unfortunate that the Hertz call centre isn’t as easy to deal with, so where I can I go directly to local Hertz rather than deal with the national hertz call centre and the team at Campberfield never disappoint even apologising for an issue not their fault. We have used them several times and will do so again.

Absolutely terrible service, thieves and unsafe cars. Rented a car that wasn't even the agreed upon car, defective tyres that were almost flat, interior of car was dirty with hair and what looked like ground in white powder over the front passenger seat. Car was due for a service and wasn't attended to prior to rental. Absolutely a joke of a company and their staff as well.

Priced pretty well. But I got a call from them only two days before my booking to find out that they never had the truck that I had booked and needed to settle for something else. Quite a pain when moving house. I also didn’t receive my full bond back despite no contact about any deductions and I did make sure it had a full tank of both required fuels.

Having rented cars all around the world this is by far the worst customer experience I've ever had. Truck wasn't clean, staff were very rude. When we asked about why it was costing more than agreed the response was "oh they should have told you"... Well your staff didn't. We left feeling dissapointed, confused but mostly mislead by the staff.

Being a frequent renter both in Australia and internationally, found Hertz Campbellfield the most incompetent rental company I have ever dealt with. 45 mins to collect car when already prebooked and authorised, then provided a smaller class car than arranged. When advised it was incorrect, stated it was as booked - a complete lie

Staff don't communicate with each other so no one really knows what's going on. Very frustrating and poor customer service skills displayed by all 3 staff I dealt with. Will 100% take my business away from Hertz now as even when theghadthe opportunity to make things right that just failed even more miserably

no flexibility with their policies. you better learn to trust your customers. went their cos we didn't had any other option. AAMI organised the loan soon after after an accident. After went through the trauma and once you went to pickup the car it got doubled. have to come next day to pickup the car.

Amazing. The service And customer care I got was the best. Even at last minute after getting cancelled by Budget the day before pickup. They made the whole experience so simple and where unbelievably helpful. Will be using Hertz from now on. Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend.

Hired a rental truck from shalakha earlier this year, service was absolutely amazing and straight forward. Clear and simple instructions on the truck also. Would definitely recommend renting with Hertz Campbellfield and seeing shalakha and the guys at the counter.

The service is very efficient, there is never any delay while renting or returning the vehicles. The trucks and vans are in good shape. However the staff should work on their demeanor a little by being more polite and welcoming. I'd gladly rent from them again.

We booked a Twin Cab Ute for 2pm but things changed and we realised last minute that we needed to pick up earlier. This wasn't a problem for the team and when we arrived 20 minutes later the vehicle was ready to go. Great service by helpful, cheerful staff.

The best team to deal with. Customer service is fantastic and they always greet you with a smile. They accommodated me with my requests and were extremely amazing to deal with. Thank you to the team. I will definitely be back for all my rental needs.

An excellent experience at this Hertz depot. Served by Scott who was courteous, efficient and understands the meaning of customer service. The vehicle supplied performed well and was fuel efficient. Both pickup and drop off was a fast process.

Truck was fine, but we were accused of vehicle damage, fortunately had evidence, staff weren't polite or apologetic for the accusation They need to do a better job documenting the condition of their rentals before accusing their customers

Not happy. Booked a car rental for 3 days in advance and when picking it up the car is not ready. They still need to clean and put fuel, and waiting for an hour for it. What a disappointment….

Went to hertz for a complimentary car hire through my insurance company. This was my first time hiring a car and I was amazed by how fast the process. And a bonus when greeted with a smile

I have never seen a vehicle so dirty inside. Dog hair, food wrappers, mud and the list goes on. I wish I can share photos. Will be filing an official complaint

Only problem location. Its hard to make u turn on somerton road . Staff is very efficient and co Operative . Cars are nice and almost new . Highly recommended

I fully charged fuel from my place, Drive 15mins to drop off, They charge me $16 for insufficient fuel without evidence. I don’t think it’s fair
