I won't be using hertz again. Staff member that got my truck ready on day of pickup was great. But upon returning the truck I had a outstanding balance due to keeping the truck longer the amount was $249.30 I had $250 in cash . I went to give the money and the guy said no can't accept cash . I thought any business would have to accept any legal tendor . Anyway so I said well just take the 250 and keep the 70c , no can't do that either. So I had to drive 15mins down the road to find a smart atm to deposit the cash into my account and then head back t9 the hertz to pay for it . I thought this was absolute garbage and the staff telling me they will get into trouble if they accept my cash. So that over and done with now my other issue is it's been a week since I returned the truck and my money that you put on hold from my account still hasn't gone back in and its been 7 days . That's ridiculous . I'll be calling tomorrow to sort this out and it better not take anymore time out of my schedule to sort issues out were there shouldn't be

Today I rang the office ask about my refund and he said maybe today or Monday (29.42019) and then I got a text from them today 26 april 2019 that the rental car is overdue so I rang them immediately and spoke to that lady again it turns out she haven't clear that I returned the car on 22 of April 2019 at 10: 00 a.m. that's why I haven't recieve my refund it's been 3 days now she said I 'll get my refund on wednesday May 1 2019 now I have to another five days for it , I need that refund money by this weekend . If could 0 star I would instead of 1 star.

This rental very bad services, they only allow for credit card or cash. I couldn’t use Apple Pay , PayPass , or transfer money. All different rental companies have PayPass or Apple Pay. That’s very worse services. How about the customer just lost the card. Bad and worse services. They can use the number on card to make it credit card. I been to euro car rental, they happy to PayPass and make everything easy for the customer. The worse service rental here. Should not come to rent the car here. No parking for customers, the guys so rudes to talk to the customer her out of the area to park on the road. They thought they are only 1 rental car service in the Australia, did they? My god... get away from them. They will make you very angry and crazy.

They clearly have a duty of care to ensure that all cars are safe and road - worthy. Harry was the only person within all the staff who was helpful and polit., The manager did not care and gave me a very lame excuse and the lady staff member in particular was extremely rude. Beware.

!!!!!SCAMERS SCAMERS SCAMERS. One of the worst customer service i have ever seen from a car hire company. They didn't have the car i booked and they tried to blame it on the insurance company. When i returned the car they tried to rip me off on the KMS driven. I had done less then half the KM they where trying to make me pay for. Be careful with this place, take photos of the full car including the KMS on the dash and do not let them step on your toes. Sand up to them and for what is right. SCAMERS SCAMERS SCAMERS!!!!

picked up a car that was washed and detailed but had a very bad Odor and that was because the man that details the cars smlled really bad himself, seems like he sweats all over the seats and leaves a bad Odor that you can't get rid of, the staff are very rude and unhelpful . I asked for a Corolla that they said they had instead they gave me a smelly pulsar .. Wouldn't recommend that place at all, and they defiantly need new detailing staff as the cars stink because of the person that cleans them up.

Very good customer service. Everything was explained when at the counter. Only suggestion is to mention the bond when booking online. Was unaware of the extra $200 charged at the time of the booking. However this money was refunded withing 48 hours (compared to a week/s with another companies) Huge selection of cars. Booked online for a Suzuki swift. Ended up with a Nissan pulsur (bigger than a swift) Car was clean and tidy however a bit dinged up which is no fault of Hertz

Poor customer service, the manager is soo rude I had a car and told them that i dont want that car with nasty tyres but they didnt accept so just drove it home and wake up in the morning and the tyre was flat. I talked to the manager and replaced the car and they said they will only charge me $30 But at the end i was charged $106. I had the worst experience with this company Will never go with them again, there are too many companies that are much more profissional.

I Recently rented a truck in August and found the process to be quick and smooth. With the Covid issue I found the vehicle to be sanitised, clean smooth to drive. The 2 staff there Mike & Roi were fun and friendly to deal with yet both portrayed a professional side, thanks guys. I was able to sign all documents electronically. All of this made my experience pleasurable. Will definitely go back again, Thanks Hertz Smithfield, great team! See you all next time.

Tried making contact the day before I was to collect my loan car. It was 4pm they must have been really busy because they didn't answer my call twice, the third and forth call they answered and hung up immediately. I spaced out the calls assuming they were busy. Not that it really matters but we were not asked about extra insurance or anything along those lines to protect us if there was an accident. Not sure why but we expected more

Quick pick up and drop off. Only downside the guy lied to me and said my car was dirty because of the bushfire smoke but in reality it hadn't been cleaned the car had bird poo stains and inside smelt like cigarettes and sweat. I ended up vacuuming it myself and wiping it down when I got home. All the cars parked our front were smicko so next time just be honest and don't give me a car just returned.

Very BAD experience. Advise you to NEVER go there. Bad customer service. At the begining they offered a reasonable price but they put $5000 for the accident excess in the contract then offered me to pay almost double price to reduce the excess to $0. I returned the car one day and a half earlier, but they refunded me ONLY a half price of ONLY one day excluding the excess coverage.

Took a while to end up getting the car but would have to be one of the most honest providers of hire cars. Not only did they not sting me with excess charges but they probably could have put a few extra charges and they didn't. I have been stung a few times of different hire car companies including hertz at a different location but hertz Smithfield aren't dodgy like most so bravo

This place restored my faith in service over the weekend. After another company let me down, Michael here found me a last-minute rental, sorted me out with some straps, gave me a rundown on all the proper procedures. Even returning the truck was a pleasure, with a smile and a “happy new year”. Definitely returning, definitely recommend Michael and the team. Thanks guys

Simple pick up turned in to 2hr wait. The 2 staff kept apologising for the long wait which it wasn’t their fault since the management only puts 2 staff on Saturday mornings to save money on wages. SHAME ON YOU HURTZ For putting your staff and customers in distress. Its not like your poor company not making money.........

This was the worst experience with any rental car company that I’ve ever had. Was told one thing on the phone, yet something completely different was done when I arrived. Person working at the desk didn’t care about the inconvenience he was creating. Absolute rubbish across the board.

Issac from Smithfield location was so helpful my booking with Sixt was cancelled at last minute with no solution I was lucky enough to call and get Isaac on the phone and although there were no trucks available he rang around until he found one and booked for me. 5 star customer serve

As dodgy as they come. Owner is a LIAR. Told me i owed them money for 2 extra days and that the insurance company wasn't paying it, it was all on me. I called the insurance company to hear that they have paid for those two days and that i was definitely not liable for any charges.

The paper work didn't take long, great. The rental car I didn't get what I was suppose to have. No smoking policy and the car reeked of smoke. My young Grand daughter and I were not very impressed.
