Sep 2019: Once again, we had a great experience hiring from Hertz Alexandria with the 2019 Ford Mustang GT. Absolutely love the new model and in orange; nice and subtle. The car itself was awesome and the 2019 updates are fantastic. The service from the staff was second to none, helpful, attentive, great work team! Excellent hiring process from start to finish. Looking forward to next year. The Mustang could have been cleaner on the outside though; there were a few scuffs/marks. I was able to give the car a thorough wash that night and remove these marks/scuffs but it would have been nice to receive the car this clean. Oct 2018: Great experience overall. The vehicle I requested was available and promptly brought around to the front. Easy hiring and returning process, pleasant staff. Vehicle was clean and tidy throughout and we had a great time enjoying it over the weekend. The car also represented good value for money, with unlimited kilometres.

Probably the worst car rental experience of my life. Got informed about my booking 20 mins before it started that they will be shutting soon. The supervisor decides to tell me it's my fault I didn't give them enough contact details. Decides to hang up on my face when I ask if they would wait for an additional 5 mins since Flights get delayed (Who knew?!) And then when I try to call back she continues to hang up on me numerous times. I have been with hertz since 2010 and they have gone beyond whats required to help their customers out. Because things happen, people get late by a few minutes and I have had no issues till this supervisor made the worst example out of hertz. I will never book another car with that office in my life. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. **Hertz Alexandra = worst way to start a holiday**

Had to significantly change my original review! Unprofessional, uncooperative and rude staff. Had to return my rental by 5 PM.I ran 10 minutes late and they said they couldn't wait. But as per the rental agreement I had half an hour extra time to return it to the station. By the time i arrived the station was closed. So I returned my car the next morning - they still charged me for a full day!!! @Hertz: maybe you should consider retraining your weekend staff how to be professional and offer better customer service! I was called up twice to be "reminded" that they are about to close soon - to me it sounded more like "I want to go home, so show up". VERY RUDE In addition to that, the rental had scratches & dents all over it. I'm not picky about that but other car rental providers offer a much better value!

Terrible customer service. They don’t care customers are waiting in a line, I was waiting first but they served a women who came in later, they don’t even say hi to customers. Very unfriendly. A staff reflected sunlight using his watch to the guy who served me to make fun of it at reception, very unprofessional. I returned a car and the guy only said ok that’s it. He didn’t even say thank you. I wonder why they can survive in this industry.

Service is OK but had to wait a long time to be served. The local road is currently under fixing and was a nightmare to get to and from the place. It closes early but you can return the car at the airport if you miss them. However, the Reception wasn't that helpful when I called to get direction details of how to get there. When i try to call the airport branch, no one answers. Was a nightmare experience when trying to return the car.

Horrible experience. Quick business trip used the car for a day. Booked through third part site Vroomvroomvroom the price booked was different at pick up. That was not a great start. On returning the vehicle a staff member checked the fuel gauge, it was fully refueled. I was then harassing for a receipt to prove the car was filled within 5km to the drop off!

Sneaky fees! Was charged $55 on my card without any notice from Hertz. I had to call Hertz customer service to find out the reason and they couldn't tell me over the phone. A day later was emailed an invoice 10 days late from the date of the charge advising it was an admin fee for a parking fine. I must say that this is not explicit in the rental agreement.

Absolutely appalling service. Extremely unhelpful, non-responsive and RUDE. Still trying to resolve an issue I have been charged for and copious amounts of inconvenience caused. The lady Reena was yelling at me and doesn't have a caring bone in her body. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! You're better off walking then hiring from here.

I rented a Mustang from Hertz. The car was ready and waiting for me at the appointed time. The agent at the counter took me through all the existing dents in detail and was very accommodating when I pointed out a few that were missed. Dropping off the car was equally easy and hassle free. Would 100% rent from them again.

The car that was provided was excellent. The staff member that served me, explained everything really well and was incredibly friendly and personable. Only given 4 stars cos it was a bit tricky to find. When car returned with a full tank, no fuss or hassle and took 5 mins before I was on my way.

My insurance company organised a rental while my car was being repaired. I was dubious, never having used a rental car before. However, Sandy eased my mind and made the process so smooth and seamless. Will use Hertz Mascot again and again without a doubt. Thanks for making life easier Sandy.

Staff were very nice and helpful, got me the car i wanted, it was spotless when i got there and my return was quick and easy, i love hertz and will always use them, i recommend them to everyone as i trust them, and have a long history with them

Good car, efficient service but beware if you don't have an e-tag. Hertz charge $18 a day or $36 plus toll for each time you go on a toll road. So my $4 fee cost me $40. Tried to pay by phone but couldn't because Hertz had paid. Rip off.

Very friendly and helpful staff! I had to change my selection of hire car and the staff was very helpful to find a car that suited my preference. The range of cars and condition is pretty good. I would recommend Hertz.

They have base models of SUVs which are only 2WD and not 4WD. Which makes them city SUVs and can not be used off road. Was only informed of this at the last minute and have been scrambling to find a SUV that's 4WD

Another classic Hertz Rip Off centre. 90mins to resolve a payment issue, only to get over charged 800 dollars extra on a bill we agreed at the counter wasn't needed. Disgraceful

A little hard to get into to driveway as on busy O'Riordan street however staff are great and efficient. Location and condition of office nothing to rave about.
