Upon reaching the Hertz location, my frustration reached new heights as the place was unexpectedly closed, and to make matters worse, there was no available vehicle for me. When I approached William, hoping for a solution, he callously rejected my request to choose from the four cars on the lot, insisting they were closed and instructing me to go to another location. This forced me to bear the inconvenience of waiting in the rain. Having already spent $40 on an Uber to get there, I found myself drenched and faced with an additional 47-minute wait for another Uber, which set me back another $30. Despite being offered the option to go to the airport, the prospect of increased costs, coupled with an extra $120 in Uber fees, made it an impractical choice. The entire ordeal left me cold, wet, and thoroughly agitated. Even someone as typically amiable as William displayed an uncharacteristic lack of empathy, making this experience exceptionally disheartening. Today, William fell short of his usual standards and, regrettably, exhibited behavior unbecoming of good customer service.

It's always very daunting to try something for the first time. I was looking for a rental car for a short drive outside Melbourne CBD. I have never been to Melbourne before so no idea where to go. I picked this place on Google Map since it's approachable from our accommodation and yet this place did not disappoint. It's all because of William and Warren that made my first experience renting a car delightful. They made me felt welcome from the first time I walked in. They gave me some advised on the GPS, Tolls and showed me in detailed which route I should take to avoid road closures and the Melbourne hook turn (haha - maybe next time I'll try not to avoid it). I am so blessed to find you guys and hope when I visit Melbourne again and decided to rent a car, I would definitely pick this place again just to see you both well :) It was a very memorable trip. I ended up renting the car for another day. PS: I told William I won't mentioned anything about the umbrella :D Thank you

I travel for work and usually get a hired car which I've always picked it up at the airport. This time, however, was mixed of both a business and personal trip and was already in the Melbourne CBD area which was the reason why I initially chose South Melbourne. The manager in South Melbourne, I believe his name was William, was especially great — was quite an exceptionally friendly and helpful process throughout and I'm glad for accidentally stumbling on this shop. Will definitely recommend this store more than anywhere else, best believe I will be back.

Recently hired a lovely new vehicle as part of my insurance claim in which the repairer kept changing pick up date & William was amazing he even helped follow up my insurer when I was struggling to get through to them. The staff at this place really go above & beyond with their amazing customer service. I’m in sales myself and are more commonly disappointed by the service I receive as a customer, but this is a rare case where I was impressed. They really made the process simple & stress free & were very accomodating. Thanks guys!!

I have lived in five different countries and tried many car rentals but this place is at another level. Special thanks to William and Warren; you guys are freaking stars! While William was doing our paperwork, Warren helped us with not one but two car seats! You gentlemen made our trip from Melbourne to Adelaide so convenient and memorable.
