Friday - December 9th - Approximately 9:30a McCormick Place Hertz WORST Service experience I've ever had. I would NOT give this place one star. There were 3 people in line before me, not the best look but understandable for a Friday morning. The employee was efficient so the line moved fast enough but the employee REFUSED TO ACCEPT MY PHYSICAL APPLE CARD and refused to rent me a car because she could not accept a "virtual card". This may be a Hertz policy but the fact is the card was a 100% Physical and with my full name. This employee (senior black woman}, HELD THE PHYSICAL APPLE CARD IN HER HAND and would not accept the card with my full name printed on it AND with my valid drivers license. Unbelievable. I have never experience such an egregious act of incompetence and unwillingness to service a customer. I was stunned in the moment and tried to plead my case....... the card had a chip and Hertz had 2 machines that could accept the card. Her answer was No. She insisted she needed to "type" in numbers; numbers that were visible on my Apple phone. She refused. I politely asked for a refund. She refused. She could or WOULD NOT help accomplish anything. I politely asked her for her first and last name.........and this is where Hertz lost me as a customer forever......she clearly LIES and states her name is "Alicia" and that she does not give out her last name. I guess if I knew I was both high and drunk at work and a professional was going to contact corporate about my experience, I would consider lying too. Incredible. Both professionalism and service is out of the question at this Hertz location. I will never return and I'll never recommend Hertz to anyone I do business with. THE WORST. THE WORST. THE ABSOLUTE WORST.
Well, I had a 4pm rental reservation, and arrived at 3:58pm. One person was waiting at the door and another was behind me. Both doors were locked. The two people inside - a manager and employee - literally ran out the back door, we could see them through the glass outside. It was surreal. Someone told me how to get to the garage, and I ran there and found someone at 4:04, who told me that it was closed. They didn’t seem to care that three customers arrived at 4pm for our 4pm reservation. My daughter has a National championship race five hours away; how sad that Hertz would find this lack of service acceptable.

Better and faster customer service! Oh the customer service! I had Alecia assisting me and she was absolutely wonderful! Very nice, efficient and quick from the beginning to the end! Service with a smile! I wish I could give her 10 stars because she definitely deserves it! A great experience!
Never a bad experience! Great customer service always from the young man, and the young woman especially. I have utilize this location for years and never have I been disappointed. Only experience I've had was with the credit card when my balance was low I had enough for the rental but, was not aware of the $200 hold. So I couldn't get mad due to that's their policy. Lesson learned for me!!
Reserved a car this branch evidently "never" carried. Prepaid for Tesla model Y for my birthday. Will get absolutely nothing. That Gold status means jack$hit! And then a 7 to 10 business day refund time frame, completely unacceptable. You took my money for a guaranteed vehicle according to the hertz website. And are giving nothing!
Loved the woman who helped me at the counter, she was kind, efficient, and the price was reasonable. The car was a little smokey, but not bad, but was otherwise really comfortable and worked well. I could tell with 35k miles the brakes were tired but they only made weird sounds occasionally and still worked fine.
Alicia is amazing! She’s such a sweetheart and very professional. This was the best experience I’ve had with any car rental company. I will forever come to this specific Hertz for any of my car rental needs. I truly appreciate you Hertz! Great job!
Had a easy experience dealing with my 1st car rental. i just wished staff was more friendly. I'm all about that good customer service, not saying they were rude, but they were just so serious.
Once I realized I entered, for my car return, through the McCormick Parking garage, it was a seamless, easy, and pleasant experience. The staff was wonderful, helpful, and courteous.
The lady working here so was kind and helpful. Best experience we have had renting from Hertz!
