I come here all the time for its toddler-appropriate playground, the gorgeous puppy traffic in the adjacent grassy area and to check out the beautiful real estate on Georgina Street. I especially appreciate its cleanly-finished gardens and surfaces.
Playground
Perfect for toddlers, with lots of safe and entertaining equipment, clean, soft rubber surfaces and beautiful aesthetics. I can sit on a bench in the shade and easily supervise my kids wherever they go, which is worth its weight in gold.

Great park with fun playground and lots of dogs. Not too populated. Nice place to chill with friends after uni. Trees provide ample dappled shade. Beware of dogs stealing your food, especially pies. Also, be careful you don't get stuck in the spring rockers (playground wombat on a spring). That happened to my friend and I got second-hand embarrassment watching them struggle to get out.

A small park about 2 minutes walk away from King street. A very busy park that is off leash area for dogs and a fenced playground which has just been upgraded. The playground has a spider web which is great for climbing on. This park is a slop and has trees around the edges around it. Plenty of benches and walls to sit upon. A nice place to stop by in the area.

Nice little park behind all the hustle and bustle with two cafes near by. Dog friendly but not gated. Big trees around the perimeter so lots of areas that are shady to choose from. Some construction happening at the moment for some upgrades and just FYI, right hand side is quite bumpy so may take a little while to get comfortable for a nap!

Hollis Park has so much to offer from a beautiful play area for the kids or just relax as you laze around on the grass. The surrounding buildings are amazing and date back to the 1800's. I believe that some of the trees in this area may also be around 100 years old. If you want a magical area to just hangout this would be a great park to enjoy.

This playground is great for toddlers! It is entirely fenced with safety gates. Each area is accessible to prams or wheelchairs (though the ramps are long). About 80% of the equipment is covered with shade cloth. There are seats all around the outside. Really recommend it for a quick play and break for the parents.

Nice little park. Got a swing set and a see saw and some other things for the kiddies to entertain themselves with. Got a few chairs that mums and dads can sit but also keep a close eye on the kids. It's got a nice green area where lots of people walk and play with their dogs.

Everything in great working order. Felt comfortable letting children play as rubber flooring is very soft. The only downside is there's no public restrooms
Playground
Great revamped play area surrounded by great architecture

Great park and new playground. No toilets unfortunately and the shade for the playground doesn’t work well either. The playground is a hit and the kids don’t wanna leave! The slides and climbing frame are popular. Dog friendly.

The grass is always lush and green, the flowers and bushes are well manicured. Kids and dogs love running around in the open space and there are plenty of bins so no excuse for littering.

Has a great little playground with slides swimgs and a see saw that is fenced off. No toilet though. Great as a stop off with the kids after grabbing a bite to eat or some coffee.

Great fully enclosed playground for kids. Generally very well maintained, with soft grass, plenty of benches and quiet spots to sit, and helpfully located water bubblers and bins.

Lovely park with a fantastic fenced playground, lots of grass and seating. This is an awesome, very dog-friendly park, particularly after 5pm. In my opinion, it's the best!

The playground has something for kids of all ages, right down to crawlers. It is fully fenced and has large shade cloths. This park is a little oasis of happiness ☀️ …

A quaint park and street tucked away from the busy main thoroughfare of Newtown. If you want to sit down and rest before returning to the busy part this park is perfect.

Nice and tranquil park amid busy Newtown suburb. Plan to of seating and fenced children's playground area. However, parking can be a challenge in the surrounding area.

  • Greg Hunsburger

This park is well maintained and the kids play area is great. Lots of benches and has activities for little and big kids. Shaded by day, and we'll lit in the evening.

Very nice little park. Has a children's play area. Not much seating to speak of so best to bring a rug or the like Parking can be a bit problematic..
