I waited one year to write this review, purposely so see how the paint job stands the test of time. Also, I do hire quite a bit of trades for various jobs, so I have a point of reference. Positives: 1) Brian (owner) is responsive and provides good customer service. 2) They honoured the warranty on the job (labour and material included). 3) Brick stain job was done right. Good quality paint was used for the job (Sherwin Williams) 4) Repair crew was good and did their best to remediate the previous work done Negatives: 1) Cost: They charge way too much for what they do. The quality of the job is mediocre. You're not getting a super quality job but you're paying wayyy too much. I paid over 20K for a job that should have not costed no more than 15K. I hired them cause I thought they will do way better and they didn't. Lesson's learned. 2) He hired a sub-contractor (a former employee of his, who went on his own). I get it that he worked for Brian before, but at the time he hired them for me, they no longer did work for this company. This was in contradiction to what they advertised on their website. Sub contractor wasn't motivated enough to do the job the right way. He cut corner. 3) They used a flat paint on my exterior trims, railing, windows, etc. This is utter non-sense, I was told on the phone that the finish would be in satin. Flat paint is near impossible to clean. You expect the pros to tell you the right finish to use, flat paint for exterior is just not acceptable. 4) No proper prep was done. I told the guys on-site to do some level of sanding or use a primer and all they told me in response "we're professional, don't worry". Well, the paint came off. 5) Crew damaged my property. Broke a door handle and one of my garage window panels. I asked for compensation from Brian and it was honoured, but still a headache to find the replacement. 6) Brian didn't come to check on his people or even meet with me. He just deals with you remotely and only met him when he came to pick up the payment. 7) Repair crew (warranty): They did a good job trying to fix the BS work that was done. But the finished quality is subpar since they used rollers and brush. So it's not a spray quality that I paid for, also the tried to sand and blend in but wasn't perfect. It took one week to finish the repair job.

I hired Brian a few weeks ago to paint my house. They did a quick job and the on site team was nice and professional. My issue was with how messy the job was and instructions we provided were not followed. There is paint all over my tiles and hardwood. It’s literally all from paining the trims and it’s as if they painted my hardwood too. Paint drip all over. Areas that could have been sanded to ensure a smooth finish were not done. Even worse, we have a large gap of an unfinished area they must of forgot about. I emailed Brian to discuss my concerns, he didn’t even have the decency to reply. I would not recommend anyone to use this service. Edit: Brian called me directly to resolve. He did reply to my email, and seems to be lost in cyberspace. He assured me he will correct my issues. He sent his team right away to make corrections. Thank you, Brian!

Brian's crew removed my popcorn ceiling and gave me a smooth flat ceiling with pot lights. What a difference that made. They also got rid of all the window valences to make my place a bit more modern. He gave me an accent wall in each room and the lines were perfectly cut. Everything they did was done professionally. I'm so happy I used Home Painters. They made it simple and easy for me. The 100% satisfaction guaranteed is real. Brian won't leave you disappointed. I will definitely use them again on my next project.
