Hood Famous holds a special place in my heart. I used to come here all the time with my mother. Purple was her favorite color so when she discovered their ube cheesecake and lattes, she was beyond ecstatic. I no long live near enough to visit as much as I’d like but every time I’m in downtown Seattle I make it one of my priority stops. My most recent visit was no different than all the fantastic times I’ve dropped by and picked up a delicious treat. To my dismay, I had arrived too late for ube cheesecake, however they did have Pandan ($8.00), my second favorite. Hood is famous for the pretty purple pastry, however the Pandan is a close runner-up. The flavoring is just right. You can definitely taste Pandan but it’s not overwhelming. The cake itself is super rich. The serving size is rather small, but it’ll take you a couple occasions to finish it to not upset your stomach. The creamy, smooth confection envelopes your tastebuds in a heavenly experience. Truly amazing, delicious, you cannot pass this one up. Another Hood staple is their gorgeous Ube Latte ($5.75). I like mine iced so I can admire it’s beauty. Even on a cold day, it hits the spot. Don’t be a wuss, get it with whole milk or else it’s not worth it (unless you really can’t do dairy, I’m so sorry). It’s hard to compare this because the taste is very unique. It wouldn’t be fair to say it tastes like something else, it’s really got it’s own flavor you just have to try to understand. If you like your coffee strong just ask for an extra shot because it’s definitely on the lighter side. One other item you have to grab are their Ube Cookies ($14.00 for a pack of 6). These will remind you of super soft and fluffy sugar cookies but better. Rich in flavor and texture, they have a longer shelf life compared to the cheesecake and other treats, so this is a great items for tourists who want to bring a little bit of Hood home.

Hood Famous excels with both sweet and savory foods, delicious drinks, and enjoyable atmosphere! Food we ordered: Bistek Rice Bowl—flavorful, steak wasn’t chewy, serving quantity was plentiful. Highly recommend! Ube Cheesecake—moist and not too dense, crumbly crust, portion perfect for sharing due to sweetness. A must-try at least once. Turon Mochi Waffle—WOW! A mix of flavors that would be hard to improve upon; my family devoured this! The bruleed banana/carmel whip/jackfruit custard waffle is a perfect treat! I will have this again…oh I will. Drinks we tried: I’m so grateful to find a place that doesn’t drown the drinks in sugar! Alt milks available as well. Both Matcha Lattes—one Sweet, one Ceremonial. I really appreciate how they differentiate the sweeter version. Good drinks, but not great. Chai—a spicier take, which I prefer, and not too sweet. A perfect balance with our sweet cheesecake and waffle. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Hood Famous Cafe + Bar is an amazing place to go to in the international district. There is tons of nearby parking, there’s a parking lot behind the building which is really easy to access. You can also park on the street if you insist. Hood Famous is very easy to find and is in a great area. When you walk in, it is very clean with plenty of seating. The menu is very easy to read. Have displays of the foods they have. There’s even a retail section if you want to buy some apparel. If you have any questions they are willing to help you. They also accept cards / tap to pay. While waiting for your food or drink there’s plenty of seats to sit at so you’re not stuck standing around. You’re able to sit at the bar area and watch the baristas make the drinks. While I was waiting at the bar area, Raquel was making my drink and she was really helpful with my questions and had great recommendations. I will be definitely coming back to the cafe and try all the recommendations that Raquel told me. They have all sorts of drinks / teas / coffees and foods!

It was my first time here and I heard they had an ube latte. I was excited to try it and did my best to come on a day they were open! There's paid street parking available, a decent amount of seating inside, and offer various products and merchandise. Though I came for the ube latte, I ended up getting the Pandan latte. I was slightly disappointed because there was very very little Pandan flavor and I was expecting a green color for the latte, but it just looked like coffee and a lot of milk. I felt that the latte could have been stronger in Pandan taste, but it was a good latte in general. The space is beautiful, it's cozy and welcoming. They have pastries that looked really good and other products and merchandise in the store. There's a space for studying or work if you want to sit at their large table or window seats. I wish their hours were expanded, but I made it work to come try. I would recommend for a good cup of coffee, a calm and cozy atmosphere, and for a nice place to work or study. Staff was very nice and helpful! Definitely a good place to enjoy a cup of coffee or pastry.

First-time customer alert !!⚠️ - On the outside, they had multiple doors but only 1 area to enter/exit. - Inside it was pretty with many decorations and designs. - Alot of space to sit and eat - Came here to try their drinks, and they did not disappoint. The drinks were so goodddd. - Had the Ice Ube/Pandan latte and changed it to Oat Milk. - Drinks were perfect and not sweet at all, even with Oat Milk Changing. - We also went on a whim and had the cupcake to try. Cupcake is a No. It was not good and was not worth the cost. - It was dry and tasted like I was eating cardboard. - Would be nice if they accepted cash. CARD only guys!! - I am only rating this place as 4/5 because the drinks were superb, and the vibes were nice.

I’m so glad I visited Hood Famous in the ID. It did not disappoint. I visited on a weekday morning around 9am and the place was quiet with a few customers. I really like the contemporary décor mixed with Filipino touches like cookie cans above the open kitchen. I ordered the longanisa quiche, pan de sal, calamansi bar, and the buko (young coconut) pie. Everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the pan de sal with the eggs and longanisa inside. The crust they got on the top of the bun mixed with the savory filling was an amazing combination. I also loved the buko pie – it’s one of the best pie slices I’ve ever had. The crust was savory but sweet and the coconut filling was fresh and rich. The coconut slices added a great texture and mellow sweetness. And to it off, literally, the streusel topping melted my heart, not literally. The calamansi bar was really good as well and you could definitely tell it was calamansi with its distinct flavor. I liked Hood Famous’ place in Ballard but I’m really glad they found a great place in the ID especially since they’re representing Filipino culture which has a long history in the ID. I’m definitely coming back soon.

The drink was good, the experience was extremely questionable. The person at the register told us they couldn’t make hot drinks anymore, not because it was sold out but because something about their machine not being able to. So I got an iced ube latte. And then I stand there for 25 min waiting for my drink, watching as 50% of the drinks coming out fresh were all hot drinks. I can understand if there’s a limited quantity of hot drinks being sold. Limited quantity is something set by the cafe and I wouldn’t contest that. But what do they mean by telling me that their machine was no longer capable of creating hot drinks… An iced latte still requires a shot of espresso…. Why is the machine capable of producing espresso but not the rest of the hot drink. They were also clearly continuing to produce hot drinks… I’m sincerely confused and offended.

Strolling through Chinatown on a sunny Saturday and stumbled upon this easily overlooked Filipino bakery near Uwajimaya. Went inside to take a look and saw a lot of purple stuff. Ube. I just finished lunch so wasn't really hungry for anything, but the six pack of cellophane-wrapped ube cookies caught my eye. I remember seeing these featured in an Instagram ad or something so I bought them. I almost changed my mind though when the clerk told me the price ($15 + tx). Most expensive cookies ever, considering the size. But I got 'em and enjoyed every single one of them. Can't wait to go back to get more and try some other stuff.

While visiting a friend in Seattle, we visited Hood Famous. The atmosphere is is warm, comforting, and beautifully curated and it's just steps from the international district/Chinatown stop. The food and drinks were delicious and presented immaculately! (Chef's kiss tbh) The chicken arroz caldo with an egg was everything that I have always wanted for breakfast/brunch and the ube latte was soooo good. They also have so many delicious baked goods, desserts, and more. Service was great, and everything was just great! I'm just sad that there aren't any locations in my hometown. Definitely top 10 places to go when visiting Seattle! I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

Hip Filipino cafe across from king at station. They have lots of ube treats and drinks but we opted for two oat milk lattes. The art on the lattes was very well done and the lattes were velvety smooth. Service was friendly and the vibe was hip/modern. We did find this to be one of the more expensive cafes in International district/pioneer square/ downtown. (We paid $22 for two lattes and a fruit empanada) We also wish they would open earlier than 8 so we could stop in before work.

We went here after hearing about a Filipino cafe near Uwajimaya. I tried their ube latte. The coffee was pretty good but the ube flavour wasn’t too strong. I would probably come back here to try something else instead since they had a number of Filipino inspired items on their menu. They had lots of yummy looking pastries like guava cheesecake, buko (coconut) pandan cheesecake, calamansi cream trifle, etc. There were lots of seats available, so it’s a good place to hang out with friends or do some work. We were luckily able to find free street parking nearby.

I came here with a friend and our first opinion was that the space was clean and staff was friendly. I could see myself spending an afternoon here reading or doing computer work. I got the ube latte, ube cookie, calamansi bar, mango and peach empanada, and a biko. Everything was scrumptious and I can't wait to go back!

Good drinks, made by friendly servers, and a nice chill spot in the heart of ID. If you have time get something for here - baristas put lots of love into their latte art. I haven't had a lot of the food but I've always enjoyed the fresh pan de sal with the ube butter. Good afternoon snack.

So I recommend if you like herb/ tea lattes and the pork ube bun is v delicious! Everyone's friendly and helpful! They allow you to bring your own cup which is great as well! **Hood Famous Cafe + Bar: Delicious Delights Await!** I had an amazing time at Hood Famous Cafe + Bar. Their Asian-inspired pandan latte and Ube latte were a hit, and the variety of drinks and food options impressed me. The cozy ambiance, adorned with plants and wood textiles, made my experience even better. The staff's excellent service left a lasting impression. I'll definitely be back and will be recommending this gem to everyone I know! **Rating: 5 out of 5**

Yum yum yum! So good, love the fact it was open so early with no line. (Usually it is packed with a huge line so beware, although I have mastered which times are best to go hehe) I recommend everything and anything from them, words cannot describe how much I love this place and how much of a positive impact it is for the Filipino community. Wish them the best. (Wish I got better pics of food and stuff…whoops)

Hood Famous' new cafe + bar is *really* nice! The staff are all wonderful and cheery! The coffee is good, the desserts so tasty, and just the right sweetness. The butter mochi waffles are delicious! Have tried the salmon and the fresh fruit both! The space is beautiful and industrial cozy, and proximity to the stadiums will make it a great possible stop before the game. (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧

Small but cute cafe, the interior looks very nice. The Ube cheesecake was really good but I'm wondering why they didn't sell more traditional Filipino deserts like flan, mamon, halo halo, mango float etc. ? I think it'd be a good idea to expand their menu. The Pandan latte was alright, I didn't notice much of a difference in flavour from many other regular lattes I've tried though.

Loved the ube cookies, ube latte, and corned beef pandesal. I really liked the aioli and pickled onion in the corned beef pandesal. Also, the corned beef quiche was good, but I would have preferred it to be much hotter. This place is nothing short of cute with pops of Filipino flavors and decor. Loved the vibe and the menu. The customer service was also great!
