The place isn't aesthetically pleasing. The service is poor. The food leaves a lot to be desired; mostly due to the service. Has potential, but does meet expectations. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- I made the mistake of assuming that the cluttered dining room meant that the food and service must be exceptional... but that is not the case. I would be very weary to bring a child in, as they have 'adult items' on display at the checkout counter. There was an open vibrator for the whole world to see. I am unsure if there is some sort of drop-shipping business being run out of there... and maybe these are the returns? My husband ordered an appetizer and then turned to me for my meal. When it was my turn I asked for a bourbon chicken and some fried rice. I asked if they had a combo or something becuase I wanted a full meal. There was a brief pause waiting for a response to my question... The answer never came; but she did respond eventually by repeating my order back to me. Then, my husband ordered his meal. Before he could finish talking, the woman taking our order just decided we were done and verbally cut him off with the total for the bill..... I'm not going to press someone to let me spend money in their business... Plus, we don't know what kind of day she had or what... so I let it go. I was thirsty, but I didn't see a ton of drink options, and I wasn't going to fight for a potentially overpriced can of anything anyways. I realized when we got in the car, she had made the executive descision to put "plain fried rice" on the ticket. I did not ask for that, nor would I have paid for it. I like peas and carrots and all I got was a box of starch and salt; some fiber would have been nice... especially at the price point. I can only assume that is their standard 'fried rice' now and it makes me sad. The bourbon chicken tasted more like sugary syrup than anything else. There were some bits of broccoli with the bourbon chicken, but it was mushy and I prefer a lightly steamed vegetable. The meat was a bit fatty, but was moist and tender. The positives: The rice was properly cooked. The packaging was clean and nice. The food was nice and warm. There were 3 tables and a few chairs we were able to sit and wait for our food at. We could have eaten there (only 2 of us). Could easily be better, but not a very good experience today.

Ordered a delivery order from the HotWok on Margaret Street in five points. The young woman who answered the phone was more than rude. She rushed my order and when I asked her to be patient with me she placed me on hold while she went and took two other orders while I'm supposedly "on hold". She comes back to the phone, saying ok what do you want? And I stated to her the rest of my order. She tells me the price and before I could get my card out she hangs up! I called back and explained that the young lady quoted me a price but never took payment. Apparently it was the same person, for they were just as rude and said, give me your card number. I gave it, the expiration date and she just said, "that's all I need" and hung up. I will not order from here anymore and stick to the one on Edgewood where the service has more patience and is more friendly. I love their food, but will not stand to be spoken to so rudely. My first and last time - only because it's Sunday and the other place is closed. The shopping center is nice and this store looks disgusting inside. Piles of junk everywhere including an 8 foot deflated cardboard box in the window area WHY and looks like the people and the place haven't been cleaned in a long time. They weren't busy -nobody there - when I came for take out I placed online....yet they couldn't find the order and I think they remade it while I waited. he food is bad. The eggroll isn't an eggroll it's more like an empty small greasy spring roll. The house special fried rice had zero pork (compared to China Joy they have strips of BBQ pork), a couple of shrimp a couple peas and carrots. The fortune cookies that YOU PAY FOR are not even crispy they're like damp. The only good thing is, it's turned me off of unhealthy Chinese food now for the foreseeable future.

After calling back to the store for them to tell him that I was indeed being given a discount he then demanded 46 cent I gave him $40.00 which he tried to refuse while proceeding to snacth my food back and yelling he doesn't carry coins so again I call the store back again to ask what type of delivery driver does not have change or coins as he said while I'm on the phone he started yelling I don't care what they say I don't carry coins. In the end I was given $10 back for change as he ranted, curse and carry on very very unprofessionally in front of my children and when I asked him to leave and threaten to call the police he still continued until my neighbors begin to come out . Hot Wok on margaret street. Delivery driver from hell. Food and phone service good. But New driver couldon't find duval county courthouse and got frustrated with me and hung up on me. After Already being hour and half late. So I cancelled order because my lunch break was over. ManaGet was nice and refunded my money on card Right away. But can you believe Delivery driver text my number he had for me later after I cancelled order and complained to manager about him. He was calling me names in text relink me what type of person I am erc. I have Never experienced a Delivery driver from hell or anyone like that. What working person does that. I didn't even respond. Literally the worst delivery experience I have ever had. Food arrived over 45 minutes past the expected delivery time and my order was incomplete. I called back and asked that the rice I paid for be delivered, manager told me she was sending a driver. 45 more minutes go by, and I get a call from the restaurant saying the driver can't find my apartment and that they'd offer me a $3 coupon off for next time. I laughed out loud. I am never ordering from this restaurant again. Food was extremely mediocre, especially because it was freezing cold upon arrival. When I called back to complain it had been over 2 hours and I still hadn't gotten my food, the manager called me a liar, verbatim. I am absolutely appalled by not only the service and lackluster food but the way that I was treated by management. I cannot advise against doing business with this restaurant any more.

I order my food to be deliver and as I was ordering the person talking my order was talking to everyone in the background instead of listening to my order. They sent my food I paid thinking they got my order right after repeating it 3 times I get my food and start taking it out the bag the egg rolls are in the their own bag. I asked why he was delivering food if he’s sick, and why no mask if he was still going to work. He said he doesn’t have to. We order from here almost once a week and tonight was the absolute worst customer service. Long story short, when our food arrived it was missing the cold Sprite and sweet tea. I called to let them know and was told it'll be delivered. Fast forward to almost 2 hours later and multiple phone calls, the driver arrives with a coke and sweet tea. Mind you, the person the Sprite was for doesn't drink dark soda. The driver told us that's what I was given and just take it! Called the restaurant back just for the woman who answered to say the same thing after being told multiple times that wasn't what we ordered and want our 2 liter Sprite. She hung up on us. We called back and still the same thing. They have lost a customer and I will pass the word along!!

I am from California. This has to be the worst Chinese food that I have ever eaten. The fried was tasteless, hard with just a few tiny pieces of pork. The chicken was tasteless and dry. The cream cheese wonton had no flavor just bland. Even the sweet and sour sauce was bland. Don’t waste your money or your taste buds. Only people who do not know what Chinese food taste like will say this mess is good. This place is an insult to Mien, Cantonese, Chinese, Hmong, Laos, Japanese and all the other Race and Ethnicities from East Asia that I can think of. I will be praying that someone from California come and teach a Master Class on Authentic East Asian Foods. Y’all need prayer.

I would give a 0 if I could. When we first called to place the order the person answering the phone was very careless. We placed the order at 6:15 and received an estimate of 40 minutes. An hour went by and I called again. The person answering the phone said that it would be another 10 mins. Time went by, I called again and she said that she contacted the driver and he was 5 minutes away. After an hour and 30 minutes, you would think the order would be free of charge. I called again and she tells me that the driver delivered the order to the wrong address and is trying to get it back and then in that same minute said, the food is cold now and they have to remake it so we can either cancel the order or wait. First and last time.

Waited an hour and a half for my food to arrive. My chicken was soggy and when I called the restaurant they kept telling me the driver is only a few minutes away. I demanded a refund for the tip, since I ordered online and she said the driver would pay it to me which he never did. I call back again and she said I should come to the store to get the top refunded. It wasn't about the tip it was about the terrible service they were giving. If I were to go there that would have wasted my time and I could have gotten my food over an hour before it actually arrived. If you order from here be prepared to wait and get soggy fried chicken and terrible customer service. The wait has happened on a few occasions.

Today for the first time I ordered my usual of Sesame Chicken along with fried chickens wings. The sesame chicken had a rotten taste and the fried chicken wings was bloody inside. I placed a call and was given another order. I told them I did not want sesame chicken. Replace it with shrimp egg foo young. When the drive brought my new order the egg foo young was burnt and dry. I called in a pickup order of a shrimp and broccoli lunch special. I get back to work and there's chicken or some kind of mystery meat in my food that i was charged extra for. I called to inform them the order was wrong. Someone delivered what supposed to have been shrimp and broccoli, which turned out to be shrimp w/garlic sauce and mixed vegetables. I called them back to let them know the order was wrong again. I ask to speak with the manager, she said she was the manager "Jane". She was rude, and treated me as if i did something wrong, when in fact they got my order wrong twice. I DEFINITELY WON'T BE RETURNING!

Made an online order they approved and gave me a confirmation number. They gave me a 45 minute wait time for delivery. 60 minutes later I call them to see where the food is. He tells me order is canceled because card was suspect. I don’t understand what that means, but if there was a problem with the card, I wish they could’ve called the reference phone number they asked for that I gave them and asked me for correction. First time ever ordering I order my food the lady repeats her order clear as day. I receive my food I get french fries instead of rice. I called the lady back and tell her what’s going on she says what does the ticket order read I explained to her that it’s only The amount that was the total no description of the food.She later than said what you can’t read I advised her once again that I received french fries instead of rice she told me that it’s my fault and I have to pay the difference she charge me for said so and then hung up on me..

Had a good experience so I placed a order at 7:54pm. No food. Call at 9pm, joker who takes orders told me it's on the way. Another hour passes, at the 2 hour mark I have my husband call. Phone joker immediately tells him it's on the way again. My husband tells him to cancel the order. We don't want it anymore. This is beyond ridiculous since it is little over a mile from my house. My advice: Fire that idiot who takes orders. There are unemployed people who will actually work once you kick that joker out. Plus less bad reviews, I'm sure.

We decided to come here because we always ride pass. When you first it looks very unclean and unsanitary. They have junk literally everywhere like they run a corner store out of it. What turned as way was the cluttered space and the cook in the back tossed the noodles with his bare hands. He didn’t have any gloves, no tongs, no silverware to pick it up. A coworker of mine ordered 2 lunch specials. When the order arrived there was only one meal and a drink. When she called back to question the mistake, the young lady who took the order would not own up to her mistake. She denied having confirmed the order with my coworker prior to delivery. To add insult to injury, the vegetables were not cooked thoroughly and the rice was hard. The only reason I am rating the restaurant 2 star is because of the nice delivery guy. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Ordered delivery and when placing the order I asked for shrimp fried rice they sent me pork charged me 1.50 for the shrimp also charged me for egg rolls I did not get all of what I ordered when I called to ask where the shrimp fried rice and other egg rolls the woman was very rude and told me “ listen to me I only put you down for X amount of egg rolls I wasn’t rude at all I just hung up at that point. Don’t order from here they take your money and charge you but don’t give you what you pay for. They need that $1.50 more then I do.

Ordered Hot and Sour Soup and Buddhist Delight via Door Dash. The Hot and Sour Soup was good but not great. Not enough hot and a bit too sour. The Buddhist Delight should be renamed Broccoli Delight as it was 95% broccoli, absolutely zero Bok Choi, zero tofu, two or three pieces each of carrots, onions, mushrooms and bell pepper. Use to deliver good food. It certainly has gone down hill. Tonight's order was Mongolian Beef Combination and Beef Pepper Steak Combination. Both with fried rice. There seem to be no difference between the two. The green peas are like soft rocks in the fried rice. The beef was full of chewy fat. Aweful. The egg rolls were soggy. Once ordered chicken from here. It certainly was not chicken. Soft and mushy. No way it could have been chicken. Anyone missing a pet?

My husband and i order from here at least 3 times a month and my food is always fresh and hot and always delivered in less time than what they say but this time the lady got our order wrong. I wanted shrimp fried rice instead of the white rice and instead she gave us white rice and charged us 6 bucks for the SFR when they never do that to us. That's my only complaint. Please pay more attention when people order. Thanks otherwise y'all are great.

I paid for 12 piece wing and beef fried rice. Got 8 wings which were really 4 wing that had been cut to separate the drumette from the flat. They also looked like fried chicken that bad been marinated in buffalo sauce overnight. The beef fried rice was a little stingy on the beef. Everything tasted good, but was lukewarm. I only live 7 minutes away so it couldn't cooI off that fast. I was disappointed enough I wont return.

They lady who took the order over the phone was exstemly rude. Food was ok just standard chinese for nothing special. Only great thing was that they offer delviery. I got the house Lo mein. Hot Wok was really good! Familiar menu and the food tastes great. I usually get heartburn from take-out but I didn't get any heartburn or anything, which was nice. The staff are cool and welcoming. Delivery seems fast too, though we waited in the restaurant, the delivery driver came and went several times. Much better than China Joy. I don't even live in Riverside and come to eat this Chinese food.

After waiting 90 minutes for food, 2 calls to the restaurant, the order arrived wrong and cold. No apology, no attempt to correct their error, apparently it is my fault for ordering from a restaurant downtown. I have ordered from this place frequently for the last year and have not waited more than 30 minutes even during the busy lunch rush. Unacceptable, rude, not worth the price. #hangry

Excellent wonton soup. I did have to ask for scallions but that's no big deal. What I did not like was all of the tables were kind of sticky as if they use the same washcloth to wipe all five tables. The bathroom was clean. And they were patient as I just tried to decide what type of fried rice I wanted. I've been to places where they want you to hurry up even if there's no one behind you.

The food was not good whatsoever they oversaturated the shrimp and seem like there was a lot of additives. The service was subpar and it seemed that the staff had to sit and watch you as you eat a very uncomfortable feeling. This did not taste like authentic Asian Cuisine it was very poorly put together I will not come here again and I will not recommend for others to come here either

Good Chinese take out. Extensive menu with many popular dishes. All cooked to order. The restaurant is clean and quaint. However, the only thing missing was the subtle ambience of soft Oriental music. I recommend this take out for anyone trying to enjoy some good Asian cuisine. They're located in the five flags area.

Great food fast. We order the lunch specials here and I enjoy the lunch with an egg roll and a drink. The moo goo gai pan, the chicken wings, the bourbon chicken, and the general Tao chicken are good dishes to get here for takeout. I usually order from my office and pickup the completed order ten minutes later.

Rice was old dough for sweet sour pork not fully cooked most of it had very little flavor except for old the egg tool was way over cooked and it was a cabbage egg tool awful awful food I want my money back oh the Coca-Cola was on point oh but you didn’t make that TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE FOOD NEVER AGAIN

I travel back and forth to take my 14 year old son to cancer treatment. I ordered through Uber eats and accidentally put in the wrong address and my first thought was to immediately cancel and reorder as I had placed the order less than 2

Friendly. People there spoke to you. Also very clean. I thought it was great, not enough meat and too much rice though. Also they should add egg to the rice. Fried egg with rice is the best. I got the bourbon chicken and really liked it.

Like most chinese restaurants there's nothing special about this one. This location is busy, they may need to invest in am employee who can work the front. I've been coming here for a few years and they operate better with a full staff.

I live right down the street and I love this place. Food is always good and the price is very reasonable. They have always been nice with me and it's a great alternate to your typical Panda Express and other places.

Food was decent, the star is for the delivery driver honestly. The last who took my order had the nation attitude and cut me off every time I spoke. Never gave me my total and hung up in the midst of me ordering.

Food wasn't good, ordered fried rice with no Onions and had lots of onions and what looked like mushrooms, chicken wasn't that good eather, ate at other hot woks before which had good food. Won't be returning

Great place and friendly people. My only issue was I don't eat pork so I was very disappointed to get my shrimp and broccoli meal and find they serve their meals with pork fried rice.. Otherwise great place.

Ordered Szechuan chicken and egg drop soup. The was nothing but grease and raw egg. They don't season properly and my entree was bland and tasted burnt. I stopped using them, now I remember why. Zero stars

Would not even give 1 star. Fried dumplings are horrible. They resemble leather. Nothing like the picture. I read a few reviews that were good, maybe it's the cook at the time ? Never eating there again.

Fresh, Fast, Great. A convenient place that does a good job with the dishes I like. Dumplings are well made for the price and so at the fried cheese wontons. Ordering from their websites was a breeze.

Great place for a good price. Delivery was quick, my food was still boiling hot and fresh. Everything fried to perfection and my kids loved the nuggets. Will definitely order again!!!

The has great appearance and taste delicious. I ordered the fried cheese cake and it was enough to share so I shared it with another customer. I plan to revisit next week.

They use no nets while cooking or handling food, cashier is rude hung up on my husband . I arrived and they had no gloves on. But long weave braids that hung over my food

Their Singapore chow mei fun is absolutely superb! Not to much curry and jst the right amount of spice. I typically order delivery and they're service is always prompt.

Local owner lives in river side. WORKS every day except thanksgiving. They do their own prep not just frozen. I LOVE GEN. CHOW TOFU NO meat not heavy great drunk food.

The beef stickes are dry and burnt. I couldn't even chew on them.

Great for take out. Their fried rice is great and the dinners are huge for less than $9. Quick service and the chicken chow mein was really good.

Excellent service...best sweet n sour chicken I've ever had and the happy family was amazing. I'd steer clear of the chicken wings though.
