Our girl scout group visited Fire Station 78 on Friday April 27, 2018 and took a tour. The guys were great with the girls. First, they came sliding down the pole and surprised the girls. They thought that was so cool. Then they were allowed to get into the fire truck and look around. All the girls and the firemen then sat on the front of the fire truck for pictures. This next part they really enjoyed. The firemen hooked up the fire hose. Each girl took turns spraying down three traffic cones. After talking to a few of the girls they said the best part of the tour was what came next. They pulled one of the fire trucks out and raised the ladder all the way up. It goes about 6 stories high. They really enjoyed this part of the tour. Next we got to take a tour of their living quarters. It is set up just like a home away from home. A living room with couches and chairs and TV. A kitchen for preparing their own meals. Then a big room with all their beds in it. Of course the girls thought this meant “jumping up onto the beds”. Next they showed us their lockers where all their gear and things are stored. Of course the whole time we were there the firemen were cutting up and playing with the girls. Needless to say it was a big hit. I would definitely recommend this if you want to have a group event. We had a lot of fun! And by the way, when time to vote make sure and vote for the firemen to have equal pay as police officers. They deserve it. I’m not saying one is better than the other. I thank both our police officers and our firemen for their service. They work really hard and put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. I thank you.

One of the best Fire Stations to do a visit for your kids. Great crew, knowledgeable firemen, friendly atmosphere. People coming for a visit here, get a real station visit. You get to put on the fire gear, we plug the fire hose on, so you can get a small feel of how we use the hose in firefighting, and you get to see everything on the engine & ladder truck. The crews here are great guys to talk to. Your visit will be a great one! Recommended you visit.

We just had the most FANTASTIC visit with our Girl Scout Troop at this station. We took in 21 high energy third grade girls and they went out of their way to make it fun! They let them in the vehicles, spray the hose, gave them a tour and answered about a million questions. What an incredible group of guys. I scheduled a tour of this station for my son's 4 year old birthday celebration and it was such an amazing experience. We had crew from the Alpha and Delta shift and they went above and beyond so that kids could have a fun experience! Thank you all so much for making it such a special day for the little ones!

My 2 young nephews took cookies to the "fire guys" for Christmas. The Firemen dressed them up in gear and let them sit in the firetruck. I have heard this story for a month. They loved it!! Thanks!!

It's a fire station. I guess it's a pretty good one, because my house has not burned down once since I've lived within its area of protection.

Probably the best station in the city of Houston now since I'm working here.
