Please... The drag racing that goes on nightly on East St./US 31 in front of Southern Plaza has been going on for years, has caused deadly accidents, is widely known about, AND has had ZERO police interference. The large groups of racers, rubbing their engines loudly, and zipping in and out of traffic dangerously have no fear of being stopped because there is absolutely no police presence in the area. If a police officer does happen to drive by, the racers continue what they're doing because they are not afraid. They know the police aren't going to stop them. Are the police being paid off or something? I cannot imagine seeing this happen anywhere else in the city except maybe the Eastside, in the even seedier areas, but DEFINITELY not the Northside.
In my opinion they don't deserve even one star. My 15 year old son was trying to stab himself I called the non emergency number to get some assistance my son is 6 ft. + I am 5 ft nothing I was trying to take the knife away he kept grabbing other knives and than some pills. When the officer showed up and I explained my situation he just kept telling me "he's your son and your responsibility". He said that after every question I asked him. I thought the police were supposed to serve and protect?
The staff were very cold and distant. It took an awkward 30 seconds before I was acknowledged for standing at the desk area. When I talked with the staff who helped me file an addition to my report, you could tell he either doesn't care about his career or isn't friendly in the slightest. I gave them my report the police officer game me, as well as my name printed on the front for easy identification, but the man handed it back to me and asked what my name was.
One night there were two very loud homeless drunks. They we’re in this storage room next to my apartment. No one is supposed to be in there. This disturbance was going on for around 3or4 hours very early morning. I called the police; they responded within 10 minutes and made them leave. They also said I could call them anytime! The police were Courteous and helpful!

They seem a little understaffed and the set up of their main desk area is really weird. The desks are so far back from the little hole you're supposed to speak through and you basically have to yell for them to hear you. Also never answers the phone.
Officer B. Baker was very polite and professional. The police get way to many bloody noses these days. We appreciate you all so very much. Please be careful and we always hold ya'll in our prayers to go home safe after each shift.
Absolute JOKE ! our tax dollars go to something this pathetic ..... wont even make out a report for a damage vehicle .... says its YOUR problem ..... I see why people have less and less respect for police departments now ....
I have needed their assistance on several occasions and have always hade positive experiences. I thank them and their fellow officer's around the state and country for their service and commitment.
I don't know what was going on in Pine Glen Apartments earlier today. I want to thank all the responding officers for making our neighborhood a safer place.
The officers are great, but I should be able to call and talk to someone about issues that are not emergencies without having to call 311.
Just wow! Very professional, caring individuals at this location! They go above and beyond to serve our community. Thank you all so much!
Wow. I never expected to be spoken to in such a rude manner. My apologies for bothering you- I was just looking for some help.
