The little man with the rash was provoking me with his open & closed sign on his counter. He gave me the impression that he was ready to serve me with the expression on his face. I moved forward to make my order and he just looked at me while pointing his finger at his sign which said closed. He was very rude towards me. My wife was behind me. He did not know that we were together at the time. The next day I called at the post office, just before closing time. He gave me a seared stare like I was not welcome. I asked him if there was a problem. He replied to me, what do you mean. We're closed. I replied, what do you mean. It's not 4.30 yet. He was acting clever by pointing at his sign on his counter saying closed. I explained to him he was acting childish and told him that my wife noticed, the day before that he was awkward with me, he then rushed to approach me from behind his counter and asked me if he had said anything to me about my wife. I told him that he did not say anything about my wife and I repeated to him that my wife noticed that he was provoking me on purpose the day before when we were there together. He then said that he refuses to serve me. I then called him racist and he agreed admitting that he is racist. I won't go there any more while the little man with the rash works there.
Bad points. The customer service is terrible. I started going there as the Adel post office was closed for nearly 6 months for refurbishment. I genuinely think that they need to learn how to provide GOOD customer service ( well just decent service would be enough) The man in the post office is actually needs to learn some manners and a bit of a training about how to speak to customer would be useful. The Royal Mail should have spoken to them. I am going to write to the Royal Mail as well as this is giving them a really bad name p.s. Most of the 4* and 5* reviews are when the previous owners used to run this post office. Good points. There is plenty of parking outside.
Local sorting office where all parcels ect go. Absolute waste of time only open between 08.30 and 11.30 Monday to Sat, so if you need to collect either have to take the morning off work or wait till the following Saturday to collect. Would make much more sense to go to the local post office (which is over the road) and they have reasonable opening hours. No wonder post office as an old trusted brand is going down hill. A shame really but better service is offered by just about everyone else i.e dpd, hermes even yodel.
I’m revising my original review as although the opening times weren’t ideal during the pandemic, I do think this is a good post office, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Opening at 9.30 when it says on Google that it opens at 9. I fully understand we have a health crisis at the moment but pharmacies are able to open at reasonable times to provide an essential service so I would appreciate the post office doing the same, particularly when hours are limited at the best of times. Not acceptable really.
From my point of view this is a small shop made into a post office . Unfortunately it’s now the only one in the area and gets extremely busy !! On the disability side there is a ramp up to the door as well as steps opposite the door . Great care needs to be taken here when manoeuvring wheelchairs . As I said it’s small and not a lot of room with a wheelchair but by being careful when Inside it’s actually more spacious than it looks from the outside
This post office is brilliant. The staff have worked extremely hard throughout the pandemic, they are always very helpful and take time to make you feel welcome, even when they are often rushed off their feet by impatient customers. All the staff here are so kind and friendly, they really are a credit to the local community. Thank you for everything!!
Really disgraceful customer service. Rude abrupt. I asked for 10 pound coins and she refused. I normally go to Adel post office and they are lovely. Always accommodating. The staff here are very scruffy and look like they have just got out of bed very dirty shop
Helpful, friendly local small Post Office. I went in looking for the 'Ireland Wood Delivery Office, Iveson Approach, LS16 6NT' - which is behind the Ireland Wood Surgery, opposite the small row of shops. Royal Mail please put your DO's on Google Maps!
Unless you have an hour free don't bother, with only one person in front of me I was waiting for 10 minutes! This was due to the employee simply taking such a long time to do anything that would have only taken a few minutes.
Slow service, random opening times. There's nothing really in the shop. All round pretty useless. If you do want to use the post office best to check first of its actually open.
Constantly delivering packages late. And even sent it to the wrong house when the shipping label couldn’t be clearer of my house address. Incompetent useless service.
Extremely amazing post office. BETTER THAN THE OTHERS. I would recommend going, no queues! Also sells unusual products like pillows and colouring books.
The worst post office I have been to theere is this bold guy he’s very rude and racist I’m gona make sure to take this further as I’m not the first
Poor customer service skills and lack of knowledge of their own Post Office processes of what should be standard service requests.
very helpful and knowledgeable staff. the queue can be a little long at times but this seems to be the case at most po's now
Very bad attitude of employess Most of the times closes the post office at 1600 imstead of advertised times of 1700
The service is terrible and the attitude is very rude not helpful when wanting to ask question
The staff of this post office are very biased and treat customers very inappropriately.
Always very polite when using, and plenty of parking outside.
Always polite, friendly and helpful, all round good service.
alway busy and a bit difficul to find the parking space..
Appalling service especially by the woman, no manners!
Hopefully the Adel Co Op is back before long.
They don't follow the opening time and date
Efficient, fast, friendly. Recommended!!
Most rudest people I’ve ever come across
a good place to go but has long queues
Always very friendly and helpful
