It was my good friend Sarah's bday coming up and I told her I would buy the cake for the party. Now I knew she was just expecting some kind of metro cake or something since we usually just bake our own cakes and stuff like that but since she lives 5 hours away I haven't seen her in a long time so I wanted to do something a bit nicer. I googled bake shops in mississauga and Irene's Celebrity Cakes was one of the first results that popped up. I gotta say, if you're looking for a cake with flash, "celebrity cakes" is a great way to catch your attention so the name is super effective. I got to the place and it was really nice. Very clean, nice seating if you wanted to sit down with a friend or family. There's lots of selection of pastas, other baked goods, flours, etc. I went to the counter and expressed to the staff that I was hoping to get a cake that was fancier than just some generic cake but I wasn't looking for a wedding cake type thing... not the most articulate description lol but they totally understood what I wanted. Then they opened a book with an entire page of different cake types like tiramisu or chocolate or vanilla and a tonne of other options. I had no clue. So after like 5 minutes of me drooling on myself I managed to utter "cho-co-late... please". and after they helped me through this process we finally decided on a chocolate with rum to make it more moist with a raspberry filling and then the cake would be topped with fondant. even though I was showing up on a friday afternoon they assured me it would be ready by saturday at noon. Sure enough, saturday I had the cake. I brought it to my friend's bday party and everyone was blown away. The flowers were beautifully made and the design on the cake was beautiful. unfortunately because I am a celiac I could not eat the cake so I cannot personally speak to the taste of the cake. But what my friends said was the chocolate cake was good, and pretty light. They said the raspberry filling was probably the best part of the cake but they were also really surprised at how light the fondant was. Most fondants are real thick and hard and what not and they said the fondant was really nice and not what they were expecting. That must mean they make their own fondant. and apparently there was a layer of custard at the bottom of the cake they said was pretty good. I dunno. I didn't discuss any custard with the staff so I don't know how I felt about that. but everyone still loved the cake. But the cake was beautiful, it was prepared in less than 24 hours and the price was very fair. So I was very happy with them. And I'm happy to review a great Mississauga Business. The staff were super friendly and funny and the guy who checked me out gave me some great advice on how to get the cake all the way to guelph. Put it on the floor of the vehicle and blasted some AC and it was perfectly fine. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone whether you're looking for just a desert. or a birthday cake. Or a special occasion cake. Even a wedding cake, their cakes are beautiful and delicious!

I am really upset regarding the customer service experience I received here. I am going to have a lot of details for this story. I placed an order here for a small white heart shaped cake with writing on it. No other details. The cost was $100 . My husband picked up the cake (we live 3 min from there) and when he brought the cake home I checked it. All was good. I brought it downstairs to our second fridge which we only use for things like this or if we have a big party to store food in, otherwise, no one accesses this space. That evening I went to get the cake. Again, I opened it to check it and the first layer of the cake completely slid off of the second layer. I used to make cakes myself and as I tried to reassemble the cake I could tell the icing was way too soft. That being said, I called the store to let them know the exact situation of what happened. I spoke with Irene herself. She kept saying " I don't know what to tell you". That was her response. As a customer who paid a ridiculous amount, I did want some type of compensation (not the whole amount but some kind of courtesy- even a gift card or something). I told her I would send her a picture of the cake. She called me the next day and she kept telling me that "someone in my family is lying to me" then she also sarcastically said " there must be a ghost in your house". At that point I hung up the phone on her. I was completely disgusted in her behaviour and the lack of ownership of the situation. Keep your money. I would rather write a review to warn others of the poor customer service. Buy at your own risk.

Hands-down, the number one place to go for cakes or any of your baked goods! After another cake maker had to cancel on me last minute, I found myself in Irenes desperate for a birthday cake for my daughter, which was for the next day. They informed me that they would not be able to do a custom cake that fast but I would be able to get a picture printed and an edible image on the cake. From there, they also decorated the cake so well that I am amazed it was not classified as a custom cake itself! From the moment we walked in, I knew this was a family run business! The kindness, attention to detail and customer service from the entire staff is is second to none. On top of that, I had the pleasure of meeting Irene herself in the midst of her decorating a cake in the back. I returned the next day to pick up the cake and was blown away. On top of that, when we opened the cake at my daughters birthday, my daughter was over the moon about her Elsa cake. As soon as the parents took their first bite, you can see it in their expression. They have never tasted cake so delicious. Light and fluffy with so much flavor. It was like biting into heaven. Almost all of the parents asked me where I got the cake and saved the location so they could come too! 1000% I will be getting my cakes from Irene moving forward! Thank you so much and I look forward to many more delicious moments

Domenica (phone order) was amazing but sadly she was not the one at the front helping people with their New Year’s Eve pickup orders. The young lady I got was abrupt. Perhaps just stressed. It took a while to get my pre-ordered cake & ricotta canolli. But many others waltzed right to the front of the hot sandwich counter & were served immediately. And there was a group of 6 “regulars” seated at 2 tables pushed together having their Sunday brunch w coffee. They just had to raise their arm to get service. Maybe one day I will “rate” as well as they do! A few more delicious visits…. lol. Great Sachertorte!!! Almost as good as the one from the original Hotel Sacher in Vienna.

My husband I have been purchasing cakes for many numerous occasions from Irene’s Celebrity Cake in the past. I usually do not like putting a review. However, I should say something about this one. A month ago, I ordered a three-tier cake for after wedding party of my nephew’s. Irene was very helpful in guiding on the color, the flavor and size of the cake. On the date of the party, the cake was delivered nicely packed, and on timely manner. At the setup, I couldn’t believe how beautiful the cake was. The three-tier cake was a showstopper. The tiers had different flavors, the texture of the cake was soft and delicious, and it looked amazing. My nephew and his bride were very happy, and the guests as well. Many of the guests asked me where I ordered. Thanks Irene!

Thank you to Irene and her team for our beautiful wedding cake! It was exactly what we wanted, and we couldn't have been more happy with how it turned out. It was a pleasure to work with Irene to create our vision. We provided some pictures of what we wanted and simply selected the cake and filling that we liked for the inside. The two of us and our guests thought the cake was both beautiful and delicious. We will definitely be ordering a smaller version of it again on our one-year anniversary!

Thank you to Irene and her team for making this last minute order for my daughter’s 6 month cake smash! They accommodated for my order during the weekend rush and the cake was even available for pick up earlier than the time they gave me. The presentation met and exceed my expectations, it was almost too pretty for my baby to smash. We were able to taste the vanilla cake and Chantilly cream from a piece that was not destroyed and it was delectable! We will definitely be back.

Purchased 3 cakes already and out of the three only one was amazing. We gave it another try but it wasn't good again. First cake was amazing and all were black forest and all so different. First black forest cake was so tasty and perfectly made, second was like a custard filling and fruits and not even cherries. Third cake barely had cherries and they were missing the rum. Take photos of the cake for proof as we didn't, our on mistake but we wont be returning sadly :(

We had such an amazing experience from beginning to end with ordering a birthday cake. I spoke with such lovely people on the phone and within a couple of days we were able to pick up this gorgeous cake. Everyone loved the recommended flavours and the buttercream is exactly what everyone else has said about it being light and creamy. The staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. I ordered a 12 inch round cake with chocolate sponge and hazelnut cream for my kid's first birthday. It was the most amazing cake i have had. The cake looked pretty and they added an edible image of my child's favourite character. The ordering process is efficient, communication of the staff is friendly and welcoming, the store is neat and clean with the smell of fresh pastries, the price is reasonable.

I never make reviews on anyone but I had too this time, they made my cake so perfect and breathtakingly beautiful, the inspiration image I sent did no justice to what Irene’s celebrity cakes created. This is the cake place to go in Mississauga. These individuals have been making cakes a family tradition for a very long time. In 1985, under a different business umbrella, this company supplied my wedding cake. It was not only beautiful but spectacular. There's only one place or set of people I would entrust my cake making to and it's Irene's Celebrity Cakes

I went in to get a cake. Employee did not mention Rum in Cake. Took it home and tasted terribly, like vinegar. Called them back. I was accused of not reading description. Gave me a very hard time, and constantly were rude. I dont suggest going to them. If any mistakes are made, no customer service at all.

A amazing place for all sorts of cakes, cookies and other sweet baked goods. High quality, authentic Italian pastries and much more. Fresh Gelato made on site with a nice variety of flavors. Some of the decorations on their cakes were quite elaborate and elegant. If you are in the area and like baked goods, you definitely need to check this place out.

The price of this small six inch Italian ‘Chantilly’ cake was pretty much budget. The taste delicious, the mix of cream and custard in between layers perfect! The customer service great. The overall experience was excellent. And now the question we always ask ourselves - would we get another cake from Irene’s Celebrity Cakes? For sure we will.

We usually order from Irene's and her team has never disappointed us. I love that the cream is soft and not very sweet. The cake sponge is light and the custard filling is just perfect. Irene herself is also very pleasant to deal with. Her recommendations about the cake size and all are spot on. This is our to-go place for sure!

Hands down the best bakery in Mississauga!! I have been going to Irene’s for many years and highly recommend this bakery. Irene’s cannoli and zeppole are my absolute favourite. The fresh and delicious desserts are made with love and you will never be disappointed. Great for wedding and cakes for all occasions.

I will come back here again and again. A friend recommended Irene's and it's absolutely grand! Well priced, well adverse staff, and the cakes are delicious! The cakes I've ordered here were eloquently written in Polish and delicious. Highly recommend their hazelnut and carrot cakes.

Never disappointed with any of their cakes. We ordered for 5 occasions including wedding shower, baby shower and birthday. Guests were impressed and blown away not only by the design but also the great taste. Bit pricey but then again, you get what you pay for....QUALITY.

By far a 10 star bakery, Irene did my son's wedding cake and sweet table, I've been to pastry shops all over the gta this is by far the best Italian style pastry shop in Ontario. Try it once and you will be hooked for life.
