On top of all this they have on-site security, parking enforcement and traffic controllers to handle large crowds. Located in the heart of San Diego, right off the 805 freeway and Balboa Ave is the largest and most active Masjid in San Diego. There are 2 Friday prayers due to the growth of the community. The Masjid has a full time Islamic school, and a Saturday school. It also has activities like youth programs and lecutres on Friday night. Also an open house for any person who’s not Muslim that would like to take listen to Islam 101 and take a tour of the Masjid. It also offers burial and many more services.

I came to make Salah on a random weekday and found a clean, visually appealing space. Upstairs women's area requires a lot of stairs indeed, no signs of elevator. No lights are on, had a hard time finding wudu area at maghrib. Ethnically diverse devotees here. Children were allowed use the upstairs area as a playground during prayers, so I was hit with a ball in the face during ruku'. Space is good, beautiful recitation, family friendly, not a space for those who don't tolerate kids.

I'll start by saying this review is a neighborhood complaint. Nothing against religion but every Friday it's a zoo of people coming out and walking all over the roads adjacent. There's a lady sitting in a chair as hoards of people pour across the street blocking traffic from Balboa into the neighborhood. Schools have cross guards to prevent this, please implement something because it's incredibly disrespectful to the neighborhood.

Mash' Allah the women section is spacious, lots of parking spaces. I don't really talk to anyone but the people are nice, and respectful. The regular issues of children running in the hallway and teens talking too loud happens at times, but the volunteers usually set them straight alhamdulillah. This masjid is my go to during Ramadan because it's never hot it's always airy and calm unlike most San Diego masjids.

It's beautiful to live together with different religion .nobody forced you to be part of any religion. I like this place because I never heard anything wrong with .most people I meet hear they're really nice we live in peace United States hopefully we will never have a problem with any religion. I hope everyone live together with no cost damage to each other.. God Bless

I love this place great staff , great Imams and very welcoming gaurds, don’t miss the Friday lunch 12:30, food is super delicious and cheap, they serve it before and after jumaa prayers, the school mornings are great moving presents, god bless everyone who contributed to this place …

A peaceful facility in the heart of San Diego, parking is full on Friday's for prayers, but the neighborhood has good parking spots. Mediterranean Food is available within the masjid to purchase after jummah prayers. Very Reasonable, say 9$ / dish. Fish, chicken and Lamb is available with rice or chips and soda.

This is the best Islamic center in San Diego If you have questions ask for Shaikh Taha, he is very knowledgeable. also they have 2 Kotbas (2 Friday lectures) one at 12:30 P.M. and the second at 1:30 P.M. try to come early so you can find parking, parkings are limited, street parking is available. good luck.

Visited this place while I was in San Diego. Went there to offer my night time prayers. It is a nice quaint center. Good sized parking lot. The prayer hall is also ready nice and they also had a little convenience store inside. Was not difficult to find either.

Beautiful mosque. We swung by for Asr after visiting Balboa park. They have a school attached and kids were playing outside. They had a food cart/truck parked outside. Looked like shwarma. It had a line so we didn't stop. Safe, welcoming, warm place mashallah.

A wonderful place of worship, it's an Islamic community that's open-minded and environmently aware. They help their community members regardless of their faith and origins. Homeless and helpless people are always helped and that's why we love this mosque!

I missed this masjid so much. A piece of my soul that will stay with me forever. Friendly and lovely community. I used to be there from 2014-2015 like I was in heaven. I pray to visit this land of peace, happiness, comfort and tranquillity again. ❤️

I love the Greek white and blue layout. It is a beautiful open air masjid with doors and windows wide open and the wind blowing through you as you pray. Adnan is an awesome self defense instructor and masjid security!

The woman’s section is right in front of a kitchen were men are cooking and the door is wide open so all the men who walk by can see the women pray !
