What a delightful gentleman who served us. Presume he’s the owner. As a group of clueless Brits, he was so lovely helping us and even made sure my daughter got a wrapped book instead of one that people had thumbed through and I got a free book too! An absolutely beautiful little bookshop with many books about Auschwitz, Poland and the Jewish community, all in several different languages. I’d recommend this quaint little treasure to anyone in the area, and if the gentleman who served us reads this, a big thankyou for your kindness.
Come here to have right information We came here in the raining cold Easter day, the kindest lady gave us all the information on Auschwitz Birkenau camps. Forget all the news the turistic tour gave you in Krakow center city: Birkenau is always opened and avaiable without reservation and the Auschwitz Museum always have some tickets for individual turists. Their guided tour look like the best than the others (only one hour to visit).
A small but delightful bookshop located at the north end of the central square in Kazimierz. They stock a very comprehensive selection of books on all things Jewish, also CD’s of klezmer music. After paying for my purchase, I enjoyed an interesting conversation with the lovely lady who was in charge of the shop that afternoon. A must visit for anyone visiting the Jewish quarter.
Sorry for being negative, but I found this place evil-spirited and the shop assistant small souled and prejudiced against non-Jews (the kind of person that would have voted for Spinoza's herem back in the 17th century... yet we are now in the 21st!).
I was there some years ago for a Schinder’s List and Kazimiers tour. This library definitely hosts one of the best memories of my trip to Poland. The owner/my guide was a very sweet, gentle and wise person. Forever thankful!
Small Jewish bookstore but beautiful. Very helpful and kind old gentleman (salesman) who helped me with the selection of souvenirs and book. I highly recommend visiting this place.
Ottimi prezzi. Ottimi libri in diverse lingue. Oggettistica varia.
If You are looking for some tour, book or informtion go in there :-)
The best place to find Jewish memorabilia and literature in Krakow!
See English. Mostly polish
