I had purchased a Goldair-2300 WiFi Convector Heater from Blacktown JB HI FI on afterpay on the 28th of May 2023. On Thursday I discovered that one of the pronged plug is broken. I took the heater to JB HI FI-Blacktown on the 12th of August 2023 at around 11.50am. I approached Max sales consultant to help me solve my issue with the heater, but he had no idea what to do so he Called the Manager on duty 'Mitch'. The Manager Mitch told me it is a physical damage and for me to contact Goldair myself or to purchase a new heater. I was in the store for more than 15mins and both the representatives were of no help. My question is what type of manager tells their customer to purchase a new item when I have only used it for 2 months. The manager kept blaming me for the damage and that it was my fault for the breakage. And at no cost will the heater that I took will be fixed or replaced by his department. The pronged plug of the heater unit 1 was broken 2 were still connected to the wire. If it was physical damage all three of the pronged plug would have been dent. Attached to this complaint I have attached all the images. I called Parramatta at 1.24pm JB HI FI the managers approach was so pleasant and nice. He straight away told me to bring the unit and he will either replace it or give me a new one. I have attached my call screenshot in 8mins he solved my problem via call. While the USELESS Manager Mitch of JB HI FI Blacktown is not capable of solving customer issues face to face! JB HI FI Blacktown-Max and Mitch neither of them gave me the assurance that my unit can be fixed or replaced. At 4.13PM I got a missed call from JB HI FI Blacktown and a message that I should call them , I called just to be told they can look into my Heater Unit if I bring it over again. When I left the store of JB HI FI Blacktown neither Max nor the use less Manager Mitch told me that they will be getting in touch with me regarding the heater. I would like your department to see the camera recording. For the 12th of August it clearly shows Max has no knowledge what to do with a customers issue and had to call in the manager 2 times just to inform me that “ here’s GOLDAIRs numbers contact them yourself”. The camera recording me going into Parramatta JB HI FI should also be seen by your department because that video will show not at any occasion did the manager have to be called neither the person who’ was serving me was he confused. He knew what he was doing and I’d like to thank the sales person who handled my problem in Parramatta JB HI FI and the manager did an AMAZING JOB!! For your information I am a student who Is renting, I am struggling to make ends meet. Because of the useless manager Mitch I had to carry the heater to Parramatta Mall Level 5 on the train and it wasnt easy carrying such a heavy equipment. And the useless Manager Mitch expected me to buy another Gold air heater! I have wasted my money for my traveling just because Mitch doesn't know how to handle a customers issue. My advice make sure he doesn't miss any of his manger training because my honest opinion is that he needs to be trained properly. It was a waste of my whole day and my money. And I want my traveling expense to be covered by jb hi fi Blacktown.

Terrible communication between service agents resulted in around 45 mins of wasted time and money. The store manager and another service agent from the BLACKTOWN store were unable to confirm that gift vouchers from a new Telstra plan cannot be handed over at any other store other than the store that I purchased a new Telstra phone plan from. While they kept giving hope that they could get the vouchers transferred, but was all shot down immediately by Matt after 45mins of waiting time. I could not put this complaint in their website because the website is unable to take complaints because it does not allow store post code resolution via a mobile browser. Another area of improvement. While I understand Christmas shoppers to have longer wait times, this is not an excuse for reduced service quality (the very reason people still go in store for shopping over online shopping sites). You need more staff and you need better technology to be able to service your customers irrespective of location of service. That shoddy Siebel system is a disgrace to your ability to compete in today’s accounting and customer service solutions.

JB Failed to provide a reasonable level of service in handling our warranty enquiry. Lacked empathy. Failed to see that there are two sides to every story. Proved that extended warranties are not worth the paper they written on. There actions cost them a $300 sale that one of their competitors was happy to pick. A $1000 Potential sale was also went to a competitor because the tool of trade had to replaced immediately and we could not wait for the 4 to 6 weeks for the computor to be assessed for repair or replacement under the warranty. The equipment technically was past the manufacturers 90 warranty immediate Replacement because it had been purchsed 120 days before but it could easily be proven that the laptop had been used for less than 60 days before catastrophic failure of the hard drive. Original purchase had been made in one of JBs victorian stores and terms and conditions warranty document had not handed over with purchase. The sales person had also assured that the extended warranty provided for immediate replacement of they goods.

I had the most Amazing Experience while shopping at JB HIFI BLACKTOWN. I have visited the store twice in the last few weeks and I can’t believe the Amazing service I was given by Justin, I was acknowledged immediately when I entered the store and the best thing was Justin answered all my questions, and at no stage was he Pushy, on my Second visit I asked for Justin specifically because his genuine willingness to help and yet again help me with my purchase of an iPad for my wife’s Birthday Justin is the MAN to speak to if you want Genuine friendly service and IZZY at Payment Station was also very Genuine !! Blacktown JB HiFi is also very Tidy compared to other stores I’ve Visited Thanks Justin

I find all JB hifis to have very little customer service, when you approach staff for help they usually give you the whole "I'll get someone from that department to help you" and you're stuck there waiting for the next person to ask if they can help. On this occassion it was a 10 minute wait and only until I approached another staff member to see if they can help, I had already found what it was I wanted to purchase so obviously an easy and quick sale for them, this is the main reason why people shop online these days as very low customer service. Also the store wasn't even that busy hence my expectation of getting served should not have had such a long waiting time!

This is the 2nd time this has happened, today stood around again for about 15 minutes, 2 staff members walked straight passed me, the other just didn't seem like they cared and when someone did acknowledge me, I said yes been waiting for a while then she rolled her eyes.... Such a poor customer service, we went to get just a quote for a laptop waited 20minutes but got completely ignored the sales person was on the phone told me someone will come and assist us but no one did, this is the second time we went on Tuesday was told by staff member they don’t give quote as the policy’s have changed so we went again today a lovely lady came to help but she got this sales person who was supposed to help us but NO he was just on the phone, I’d rather go to Parramtta Store and get the best customer service. At first I was hesitant to go at JB Hi-fi because I thought it's expensive. But totally the opposite of what I thought. I just bought Samsung A20 now. The staff who served us was very approachable, accomodating and fast. Even offered us a great deal of data. Customers here are well-valued because when the lady who assisted us saw that there's customer piling up, she then asked for someone to assist others while she was attending to us. Hope the phone I bought was ok. But overall, my experience with them is great! Cheers!

I love being profiled by your security guard being a Caucasian male covered in tattoos. I agree bag checks are essential, being someone that spent 10 years in retail management, but to avoid the risk of unfairly profiling customers, don't wave a group of people off that begin to present their bag for inspection, then straight after stop, grab my receipt, and then open then bag to check what is in it is what's on the receipt. Receipt is attached in the chance you do not believe me. And wish to further investigate.

In store was good. 2- star rating for the poor communication regarding delivery. We purchased Sunday, we were asked delivery for Monday, but due to no one being home we opted for Tuesday. I arranged to be at home for the day waiting for delivery which is supposed to come between 9am-5pm. I only received an sms 19:05 the item is back in stock. Now I have wait until Friday for the delivery! If there is no stock, there no stock but COMMUNICATE because some people actually have to make arrangements to be present.

I’ve always had great experiences at JB HI-Fi Blacktown especially when speaking to Lawrence. Today I went in regards to Apple products which the store itself provided me with minimal insight. Lawrence guided me through the differences, specifically for what I needed it for. This is not the first time he has assisted me with my technological questions and has a range of insight!! He is the perfect depiction of what good customer service looks like & if your unsure of what to buy he is the one to help out!

A larger store in the chain, this JB has all the trimmings and gadgets you'd expect , from tech to appliances, TV's, DVDs, extensive music and even POP culture toys and figurines. Their appliances section was under revamp and busy when I last visited, with limited - no air con (the Westfield itself it is located in is also revamping that section of the centre, through no fault of JB's) (as of Sept., 2022) and staff were friendly, efficient and helpful when available. Highly recommend.

Came here to buy my new Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. Service attendant was prompt at first giving the info I needed,then in completing my order once I'd decided to go ahead and get it.. My only thing is,this store is so big,and TOTAAAAALLLYYYY UNORGANISED!! Everything is everywhere, nothing is shelved in a particular order,and let's just say,it wouldn't be hard to lose your kids in this store. But other than that, great service, friendly and helpful

Charged me twice for an expensive product that I need for work, now have to wait 3-5 business days to get money back. They were not sympathetic when I told them I don’t have money now for groceries/bills for the next week, they did not offer any apology or extra compensation of any kind. I get mistakes can happen but it would mean a lot to your customers if you would be more sympathetic (I am speaking about the manager here, not the employees).

Worst service compare to other outlet. Other outlet allow to hold the products for 24 hrs, but this store will tell you, either you go online or come in-store to buy it, if online has issues, they can't help you. If you come in-store and the stocks gone, they also can't do anything. They seems quite helpless and useles s. Other stores will try to help you out and solve the problems. Never ever visit this job hi-fi.

My Samsung mobile had display problem when I was overseas for 2 months holidays. I had to fixed overseas to get me going. Same problem came back when I returned to Australia. I went to the store and been charged $270 even it was under warranty and the reason was it was fixed by third party. Also no warranty on new replaced display screen. It took 5 weeks to fix and worst customer service when follow up

I purchased a mobile phone there a few years ago and it has turned out to be one of the most reliable and trustworthy pieces of equipment that I could have wished for. Found the the cheaper price and called them. Over the phone after checking details, staff member agreed for the price match and when i get to store made me wait apparently they have one unit in stock while the competitor sold out product and than denied for price match. Absolutely cheap move by JB staff. I would not recommend anybody to shop here.

I waited almost 40 mins and no one was able to serve me. I needed a couple of TV's and some other electronics... it's a shame that due to either being understaffed or simply not caring a considerable sale was lost. Hopefully management takes notice and try's to avoid it happening to others in future. I for for one will not be back any time soon.

Store is massive with lots of stock. I took my son in to buy some gaming products , waited for someone to approach us asking if we needed a hand. We ended up having to look for staff with only 1 staff member in the area who was busy. Ended up going to big w where we found what we were looking for and it was $20 cheaper.

If you buy expensive then check the price. It's double ride for you to for refund or price match. Overall service is good.
