Workers look depressed and unhappy to serve but the opposite amongst themselves; food gave me diarrhea; has a humid like feel in the air; soda machine was packed on with dirt. I said I forgot to mention no onions the manager just asked me to pick them out I said I didn't want to touch them or have the residue of it on my food in a polite manner she spoke of the foreign language to her co worker in the kitchen after exchanging words they never translated it in the English language back to me and pushed my food back towards me on the counter. I asked her so this sandwich comes without onions and she just said yeah and turned her back towards me to tend to other business. Glad I asked.

This place was really disgusting. I was kind of embarrassed for Jack. As soon as you hit the property, you smell a foul odor. Once you enter the establishment, the smell gets worse. When asking the team on duty what the awful smell is, they act as though they are unaware of it. The inside of the restaurant is really filthy upon entering as well. It was early morning when I went in and wasn't busy, so I was puzzled at the fact that it was extremely filthy with team members on the clock. Needless to say, even though the food wasnt for me, I didn't order. I couldn't bear ordering that for my friend. Would definitely not return or ever recommend.

It's a Jack in the box. It's got better food than any other fast food eatery. This one may not be that well known for its reputation but it's got amazing food upto 3 am in downtown. It remains a hot competition to la vic beside it. It's got parking space enough for both and also restroom. The people who serve here are always good. Never had I a bad experience in 3 years I stayed in downtown. College crowd just makes it more lively n the need to be safe Just gets more obvious. If it helps the cops are the fire fighters are parked right opposite to them. Also, they are quick in delivering the order.

Thanks for your response Jack in the Box. We visited this location around 1pm on November 10/19. I wish we had thought to get the name of the fantastic young man who waited on us because the service was impeccable, he was fast, friendly, all round awesome. Food was above par for Jack in the Box. Reason for 2 stars, and our only complaint, was the cleanliness - or rather the lack of cleanliness. The restrooms were unusable, just absolutely revolting. Had we seen them first we would never have eaten here.

Ordered 4 combos , we received our order after 20 min and then we realized our fries or so cold and taste so bad we went to the store manager and the guy at the front counter, we asked them to replace our fries but they are so rude and they didn’t replace our order and we throw the food in the trash in the store. This cannot be acceptable, never faced such a rude behavior from any other jack in the box location. Now i feel like never visiting the jack in the box again. The staff is no unprofessional.

I wa as sad to visit this location yesterday. I went inside to avoid the long drive thru line. When I was inside, I was told that they were only accepting cash inside and that if I wanted to pay eith card, i would have to go through the drive thru. I was bummed and considered it some higher being trying to keep me on my diet. Past times I've visited this location, I have not had a problem in the store. Only problem can be from an aggressive panhandler thst hangs outside the drive thru often.

They were quick and the food was warm there wasn't a gang of homeless people chilling outside it was a good experience!

If ever I'm in DTSJ and need a quick bite to eat, I swing by this Jack in the Box. For years this has been my late night munch spot. The staff have always been friendly and always make sure my order is correct. Shout out to Carmen who works there! I've seen her be security, cashier, cook all at the same time.

It looks like a place you'd see in a ghost town, but once you put your order in you can see it liven up. The staff were very courteous and quick taking and making my order exactly like I asked! The food was hot and tasted great, and of course economical on the old purse strings. That's the same great customer service I received when I first started going there a little over three years ago! Someone is doing something right in that location! Good job Dam's and GM's!

This location is not too bad. I live around the corner and appreciate the late night hours and 2 tacos for .99 if ordering through the app. The people working handle the crowd and get you what you ask for. They work to get people in and out. It’s usually pretty clean and I don’t know if the bathrooms are open. Probably good not to open, downtown can be dirty.

Very tasty and inexpensive. Wonderful service. I flew in from Australia and arrived in San Jose at 11pm after 24 hours of travel. I was hungry and this was the only place open and was actually a surprisingly pleasant experience.

These people still have the lobby closed 2 years into Covid and this is ridiculous. Same for the bathrooms. This is a major problem with a lot of establishments and people shouldn’t have to use a garbage can outside as a table to eat their meal. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because some of the staff here are nice.

this location is falling apart i went in the middle of the day during the week and theres a lot a lot of shady people hanging both inside and out that are bound to make you uncomfortable. on the flipside, i was sick and ordered a shitton of food and it was quick and cheap and the staff was nice. 5 stars for food price and speed, 0 stars for "ambiance" but i guess no one comes to jack in the box for that.

Jack in the Box is usually one of the best fast food restaurants, but this location is the worst I've ever experienced. Inattentive staff, weirdos hanging out there playing loud music or videos inside the restaurant, homeless people outside, and of course the food is awful. The only saving grace is that it's open 24 hours, but hang around there during late night/early morning hours at your own risk.

Jack in the box in the heart of downtown, come at your own risk. Homeless (sometimes violent) outside 24/7. Cashiers are rude and don't inform you when they overcharge. Food was good at least.

Cheap thrills. My go to place for a quick grab. Some attendants (the guys) are rude and do not give you sauces. But the girls are very kind and polite and will always give you sauces if you request politely. On a Friday night, this place is jam packed even at 2am. Open 24/7 btw.

Women working here had an issue with honoring a complimentary combo certificate that I had, when I asked to speak to manager , she didn't answer me many times then she just pointed at a phone number on the wall. I then asked dqhen her manager would be in and she said she had no idea. Quick service though. And good food.

Horrid place, with horrible east bay owners. Don't give your money to these jerks. They just towed the cars of an elderly Filipino couple that were sitting in this s**t hole! Jack In the Box used to be owned by Purina Dog Food company before they divested from JITB. These people must be from the Dog side of the company.

I had been on the road for 3 hours, the lady would not let me use the bathroom unless I ordered something 1st when I fully intended to order just needed to go to the bathroom first...was totally ridiculous. Not to mention the location, downtown San Jose, already hard to park and they closed off their parking lot!

Here's their Really-Big-Chicken-Sandwich promoted on TV. Tastes much better than Burger King, but much worse than Chick-fil-A. I do not recommend any of the Jack in the Box chicken sandwiches at this time. The most satisfying item at Jack in the Box is still the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger, in my opinion.

When nothing else is open, Jack in the Box is! This place has consistently come through for me when I've needed something to eat late at night (and they have been many!). Service is alright and the atmosphere is depressing if not scary but as long as you order togo, then you are a happy customer.

One star for the cashier the other for the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger. Minus 3 for the lack of fries they give you for a 'for here' order. I got a medium, my friend got a large, yet I Still got more fries on my plate, and that wasn't much to begin with. Do yourself a favor and order to go!

I did not like my experience at tus place. Jack in the no #483, 10:20am. I could not understand the cashier and my order was not complete. Besides this, portions were ridiculously small. They did not apologize for any inconvenience. So disappointing. We did not like our experience at all.

Everywhere online it says that is open 24 hours. I hate liars. It's 5:19 a.m. and I saw a woman in uniform walking in. When I asked the women what time they open, she said at 6 o'clock. After closing the door, they both smiled and started laughing.

Ive been coming to this jib for years and ive only had a few issues over the years but not enough to stop me from coming back. And the people here are nice. I dont like the bathroom though and will never use the bathroom here. I will always go somewhere else instead to use the bathroom.

This Jaffna Box is open 24 hours over by San Jose state University they're always busy but they always seem to be polite even with the homeless problem they always are very polite and nice and try to get your food to you as quickly as possible no complaints at this jack-in-a-box

Took my daughter to get food and it took forever the food was cold. No parking anywhere because the parking lot was closed, I asked for curly fires and the container was almost empty too much money and I hardly got any food.

This place is open 24 hours. They keep the bathrooms open. They carry the awesome and insane and insanely awesome Late Night menu items. Despite the floor show, they are usually polite even with the Late Night crowd, and rarely feel the need to summarily execute customers.

Im homeless infrequently easiest establishments restroom to wash up and do the things I need to do hygienically to fit in, in this world capital... They are typically extremely courteous don't mind let me do what I need to do don't bother me and I appreciate them to that

It's good for fast food, but definitely recommend getting take out. Service was very fast.

Food quality meets expectations for Jack in the Box, but not customer friendly. Cashier pushed to upgrade your meal size, by implying that medium and large were your only options. They force you to ask for ketchup, and then only give you a few small packages.

It's Jack-In-The-Box, either you like it or you don't. Of the fast food chains - I am kinda fond of them. However, this location is dim, cramped, a little dirty, and filled with creepy customers. Unless it is 3AM, you have better options in walking distance.

a couple people in front of me the line went by super fast I was in and out of there in less than 4 minutes and the burger was great I was on a very tight budget I only had $5 I was able to get a jumbo jack filled me up almost the whole day thank you.

This chain of burgers is very popular in the west cost. We went here around midnight and the service was as good as during anytime of the day. Fries were good. Prices are reasonable for a meal. Place was clean and clearly visible from the street.

The food here tastes way better than McDonald's! Plus, the portions were worth it. The cashier was extremely friendly and knew what she was doing. Sure, it's located in a ghetto area, but on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy and was nice and quiet.

This spot is real good for fast food takeout and delivery, however there is an oder that permeates the building. This was the case each time I visited (1x month) and it comes from outside. Perhaps the sewage system? In short - I just take to go.

I was here late at night around 1-2am and had an emergency to go to the bathroom and they refused my right to use the restroom. Some of us have IBS and cannot get to one in time so it’s ridiculous that they refused it to me in a dire emergency.

Took a break for months cause of many reasons. One of the ones I thought to never see again was paying for my tacos and never getting any. 20 times in the lazt 3 years from the same place. See you again in a few months.

This particular J-Bo's has a problem with the sewer pipes in the bathroom stinking up the whole restaurant! I've been there three times and each time I can smell sewer pipes.You'd think the air conditioning would help but it's usually not on.

Most important thing about this Jack in the box joint is that it has no-meat vegiterian option. Plus the counter lady is really sweet and is learning Hindi for its Indian customers. Its the best option for students coz its cheap and good.

Good taste but the location is a bit shady to visit late at night.

I told them to cancel my order, then I made a new order and paid with another card. My account transaction showed me a got extra charges, but I didn't even get extra food. Their manner was mean, and refused to give back my money.

Honestly it was just really bad food. Both unhealthy and bland. The place had that scent of piss deeply infused. I guess the prices were low and the lady at the register was very polite, so that's worth a star.

It is one of the few places in the downtown area that does not restrict their restrooms they are always friendly and if they get your order wrong they are quick to fix it always with an apology.

Not so great ambience, okay for quick food with base quality.

The students that work there are great. Always enthusiastic and provide great service. Food is as expected. In kind of a bad area but still the place is pretty clean and feels safe.

Nice Jack in the Box. Clean interior. Workers are friendly and fast. Love the tacos as always. The breakfast menu is a good size too. I want to try the eggrolls and teriyaki bowls.

Feels unsafe and you feel like you have to be on your guard always... About the food , well we took hash brown burger and it was superb ... But I'll be scared to go there again :-/

24 hour bathroom availability with purchase is a dying service in this state. Bless this store for providing it where it does. Very clean and tidy, too.

Love this place. You get 45 different things to try. So many choices available. Waiting has never been more than 5 minutes or so. Great breakfast.

The vegan Impossible burger here is amazing and the fact that they fry their french fries in a separate fryer from the meats also makes me happy
