I had ordered dining table set on 27th April with the given information that it would take roughly 8 weeks. I was advised to allow extra two weeks for the delivery by mid July (just in case there is any issue with shipping ect). Around late June, I rang the store to follow up if my order is on the right track to receive by mid July, just to find out that the products I had ordered aren’t in any wire house in Australia. It was very disappointing, after waiting that long. I think, After few days, I received a phone call from the store saying that they have half of my products which can be delivered and the rest would take another 4 weeks, (11th of August), to get delivered “free of charge for delivery” as if it was my fault that there have to be two seperate deliveries. When I came to payment, I was firmly told to pay the all remaining balance, otherwise they wouldn’t deliver those half of items. How UNFAIR!!! Closer to another four weeks, I rang store to follow up on my order, only to be told that it is “on back order” and told to wait till the end of the August, I was in such disbelief, I even questioned if they were looking at the right order!!! Surprisingly, remaining items came earlier than estimated. Because of all these mess up and inconveniences caused I asked for discount but apparently “so called their Head Office” made the decision that I don’t deserve any discount. It certainly made me feel that they don’t like to take any ownership of what happened!!

I Ordered mattress bed frame and couch for Saturday the week before and mentioned urgency of delivery as I was moving on Saturday and had no place. Called me the day before and told me they couldn’t deliver which is absurd! Didn’t give me anytime to make new arrangements so had to stay In a hotel for a week out of my own pocket. Mentioned they called and left voicemail but found nothing of the sort . No email or sms?? Staff called and showed no flexibility making me wait till next Wednesday. No empathy and lack of accountability. The motto for the company should be “ there’s nothing we can do” Store gives you a customer service hotline who says they can’t do anything and transfers you back to the store. No compensation or accountability for screwing me! Will avoid this company like the black plague.

I would not recommend purchasing products from this store that are not currently in stock. I purchased a mattress and was quoted up to 2 weeks delivery time frame for it to be delivered to my address from their Sydney warehouse. The product ended up taking about 4 weeks but that was only after a lot of misinformation, delays and me asking to cancel the order as I felt I would be sleeping on the floor indefinitely. Customer service was friendly but often not helpful.

I purchased the Space Lift bed base. It wasn't in stock in the store, however it only took a few days to transfer over.... the info given during the purchase process was great and the transaction went smoothly. They called when they said they would and helped load the heavy pieces into the car. I 100% recommend visiting the Preston store. Next time I want furniture James Lane will be my First stop.

I highly recommend James Lane. Stephen and his wife from the Preston store were AMAZING! Extremely professional, helpful and they went out of their way to source the furniture I needed. I am a property stylist and I purchase furniture all the time. I have not had exceptional service like this in a long time, so without any hesitation I will be purchasing from James Lane in the future :)

Top quality service and products.. I have purchased 2 beds and mattress’s from the sleeping giant in the last 6 months.. Steve went out of his way and helped me with these purchases and his knowledge and service has been incredible.. So professional and the products are amazing quality.. I will be back for the third.. Shopping for your first home can be super difficult, but these guys made it such a great experience. We needed a big couch and thats exactly what we found, helpful staff assisted us in creating the perfect couch for our space and we can not wait to get it! May I add, these guys have the most comfortable couches!
