Shocking meeting about the services and prices. The woman who sat with us felt cold, matter of fact and completely disinterested. I'm a young (at the time pregnant) woman who had lost my mum extremely suddenly and was in shock at the whole experience. I wanted reassurance that my mum would be taken care of not just prices and specs of coffins. My mum was never referred to by name only called the deceased and numerous times he. It took till near the end of the meeting to be asked who had passed away and at what age, at which point I thought some humanity and sympathy would be shown for such a sensitive subject, but again this was just for information purposes only and again my mum was referred to as he. I did not correct as I didn't see the point I just wanted to get out of there. I was left feeling upset, disrespected and not at all comfortable leaving my mum in this type of care if this is how I was treated. The funeral home we did end up choosing was the most lovely level of care I could have wished for, I felt at ease that they would treat my mum with respect and I felt they understood the awful circumstances and that I was organising this basically alone with my partner and young sister. They gave great advise and support above and beyond.

We engaged Jenkins & Sons for the funeral of my mother-in-law; oddly enough both her daughters suggested using Jenkins more or less simultaneously, due to their local reputation. We are certainly glad we did! From our first meeting with Gary right up to being driven back to the house after the funeral, everything was handled with exemplary efficiency, empathy and sheer professionalism, but also with a "light" touch which was a welcome contrast to the "gloom and doom" approach associated with some undertakers. When costs were being discussed at our first meeting, Gary was at pains to explain how these could be minimised, rather than trying to push extras onto us in the manner of a salesman. We didn't actually go for the cheapest option, but were made well aware of its availability. In fact, the total cost was substantially less than we had anticipated, and even then nearly half of it consisted of Liverpool Council cemetery fees! We are truly grateful to B. Jenkins & Sons for making a sad occasion pass as painlessly as possible, and would recommend their services to anyone.

From the initial meeting with Gary, I was put at ease as I faced the daunting process of arranging a funeral for the first time. Each stage was signposted and opportunities arose to ask any pertinent questions. The professionalism shown gave me the reassurance that nothing was too much trouble and that I could entrust them with providing a top class service at such a difficult time. My family commented on how caring the staff were when they visited the Chapel of Rest. Despite current restrictions on the number of mourners, consideration was given to those who could not be inside the chapel for the funeral service. Overall, the approach to the funeral and the service provided on the day proved to be seamless, enabling my family to experience a fitting send off for our loved one. The Celebrant, Amy McDowell was so kind and considerate and we left the service feeling comforted that she provided a heartfelt tribute that reflected the life of my much loved Mum.

I recently lost my dad and was recommended this funeral company by a friend from church, I wanted a price over email but was instructed to call the office, which was very un-tasteful and caused myself more anxiety. I sent a few enquiries and was sent misleading prices and they still have not updated their website since they increased as there prices all the way back in April. The funeral home (Bannons) we decided to have my dads funeral we’re upfront in regards to their costing and were sympathetic unlike the staff here they didn’t even once offer their condolences. Update even 2 months after posting this review this company still list misleading prices terrible

My nan died a short while after my Grandad in Clatterbridge hospital. The family had used B Jenkins for my Grandad and made the phonecall to arrange for my nan to be looked after by them as everything was perfect for my Grandad. As a family we were still dealing with the loss of my Grandad but we knew that she would be looked after by Jenkins. When I went to see my nan in the Chapel of rest she just looked as if she was asleep. She still looked like "my nan". B Jenkins were amazing and made a very sad time more manageable. The staff are friendly and very informative. Gary and the lads did my nan proud and we will never forget that.

B Jenkins & Sons was the choice of my father in-law Ted who sadly passed away in September . From the very beginning Gary made my wife and myself feel really comfortable discussing all aspects of the funeral arrangements and carried them out exactly as we wished, Gary had a way of making light of awkward conversation . All staff were very professional and very sympathetic to the whole family. I cannot believe people would make terrible misleading comments about this funeral directors !!! I lost my mum my absolute world and I had her funeral through this company and I cannot thank them enough for the send off that they gave her !!! I also used them for my grandmother too ! They were amazing and were very very supportive thoughout the most horrendous time for our family !!!!! I would highly recommend this funeral directors !

A funeral is a very upsetting time for families and I have found Jenkins and sons very helpful and sympathetic to our needs , advice given was very useful and caring , from helping with church and even for viewing out of hours was done without any fuss ,we have used them three times for parents and a brother and will use them again without any hesitation , thank you for all your help .

What can I say - Gary and family have been amazing the kindness, care and handholding extended to us was second to non. My mother-in-law's funeral took place during lockdown at the end of a very distressing period, but the staff at Jenkins were kind, efficient and supportive throughout the process. At the crematorium everything was beautifully done; the celebrant, in particular, being attentive and providing a moving eulogy.
