I can never shop here again! It is always a negative experience! I went one time and they had no bags. A young Hispanic woman whom stated she was the manager said that it’s the normal, not to have bags at their store because the district does not send them. ? A grocery store without bags to carry your groceries. This is never the case in white neighborhoods! Why are African Americans being treated as if we don’t deserve quality shopping? In addition to this on Feb 22nd we attempted to order a Birthday cake and I’ve been ordering cake from Jewel for over 30 years and the policies have remained consistent! You order a cake from the bakery with at least 24 hour advance notice, you pick it up and pay for it! I was appalled after calling in to place an order and a woman told me, “You’ll need to come into the store show an ID, order the cake and pay in advance if you want the cake!” I asked when this policy came into effect and if all stores were doing this and she refused to answer. This is very discriminatory and it made me feel less than. I called the Jewel downtown and they were extremely professional, I ordered my cake and paid for it upon pick up. We deserve so much better! I’m not for racism and or discriminatory practices. My money is green and spends like any other money! If they can’t treat Black Americans right close the doors and allow a retailer that wants to be there the opportunity to do so! For the record the cake from the other store turned out beautiful! Kudos to them!
I don't like this neighborhood jewel's either too me it isn't very clean and didn't have disinfectant wipes either at the door, and don't have everything you need or want. I went to the jewel's a few weeks ago out in the suburbs on 95th pulaski and I tell you it was different as night and day. When I walked in it was carts the store looked very clean in all areas the floors as well. The chief kitchen was fully stocked with fresh chicken and everything else it didn't look old, dry, or like it had been sitting all day the staff was nice and polite as well. It seems as if all the jewel's food stores in the neighborhood don't care about nothing and it shows the stores just don't look clean especially the floors. I realize deliveries are hard too get sometimes due to covid I get it. Sometimes the chicken looks dried out and the last time about 3 weeks ago I got some grilled and fried chicken the fried chicken had a burnt taste too me which indicated that the grease needed to be changed. I know they can't change the grease as often but maybe they should because the quality of the chicken is everything. All the neighborhood jewel's need to do better
This location was closed by the city on 9/15/23 due to having their license suspended. According to the public health inspection report, there were several violations including being in non compliance for many. This reflects how long this has been occurring. 175 mice droppings throughout the store. These areas include the syrup display, cereal, bread, deli and produce sections. Also food not suitable for consumption, not properly stored at the proper temperature. Also live flies in the bakery and deli. I'm not mentioning everything but enough to bring awareness. This had became my default location after writing off the location on 75th/Stony Island for good. I can't help but wonder about everything I've purchased via pickup here. It's not exactly the same as you picking out your own items. But I'm still alive so that's good. I always sanitize produce anyhow. Be cautious of what you buy. I do remember years ago, I had a friend who bought some cornbread from Dominick's bakery. She froze half of it for later consumption. She would later discover that half included a baked fly in it. Eat at your own risk.
Stood at deli counter for 40minutes waiting to be helped while one employee scrubbed racks in the sink and another employee played with the oven or rotisserie or whatever, shifting trays, anything but help a customer. He then disappeared into the back or freezer. Finally he came out and called the next number and asked "what do you want ". He then took another 3minutes to put his gloves on. The other employee is still scrubbing racks and trays. All of this time the young lady behind the counter is hustling trying to help the customers all by herself. One of her customers had a very long order and she filled the order very politely and patiently. After I finally got waited on I asked another employee to direct me to the store manager. He didn't think there was one there but he paged someone who took another 10 minutes to appear. He claimed he was the manager but I have my doubts. He listened, said he would speak to the employees bla, bla, bla. I'm not going to go into my experience at the deli when I first entered this store. Equally unpleasant.
Hello world the attempt to control Black people in their own communities is at an all-time high check out these pictures where we cannot even bag, our own items without asking an agent for the number of that so we won. It’s almost like insinuating that Black people are untrustworthy. We demand justice and we have the same services as any other Jewel-Osco. Please observe the pictures that I’m posting, which demonstrates the extreme disrespect toward our community. My next step is the report Jewel-Osco on 95th and stony to the consumer rights of State of Illinois because our rights are being violated and we are being disrespected that we cannot ban her own groceries freely without asking for me. I am a teacher for 10 years in a resource sciences supporting year, and I do not need a person to hand me anything.the next thing you know they will be controlling our grocery flow. Black people are being controlled like cattle This is a consumer rights and civil rights violation
This is the most unethical unprofessional Jewels I ever been in and it's a shame that these type of incidents happen in your neighborhood. I order some flowers on jewels online service the flowers that they sent were rotten and turning black. I contacted the store they tried to put me through the ringer and say that they couldn't do nothing I'm like I don't want to refund I just want fresh flowers so they told me that they were going to deliver either the next business day or the same day Lord behold doordash stole my flowers on the second delivery attempt and they refuse to redeliver it again this is Mother's Day weekend will be reporting jewels to BBB ASAP I will no longer be shopping in no neighborhood stores this is why we shop outside are neighborhood. After speaking with the assistant manager and store director it was just unethical how they just could not just redeliver my flowers disgusting. Would never shop at this this jewels again!!!!!
There are a lot of LONG time employees at this location and with that experience comes competence and professionalism. You’ll encounter some rudeness from time to time from some staff, but for the most part, everyone here eagerly seeks to help you. The younger staff are also exceptionally courteous which I think is the result of being mentored by such seasoned people. For everyone complaining about the bag process at self checkout, it’s a result of a fine they received from the City of Chicago. There had to be a better accounting of the bags and the 7 cents charge. It’s actually been the best reminder for me personally to bring in my recyclable bags! Only reason this is 4 vs. 5 stars is because of how expensive the food is here… I’m around the corner so there is definitely a “convenience tax” you have to consider when deciding to shop here.
I can always count on this Jewel to have stuff Walmart and other places don't. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The shelves are always stocked and organized, the entire place is clean. There's a TCF bank and ATM inside at the front of the store, just near the produce section. They have a pharmacy also and a bathroom right by the pharmacy. They also have a section near the greeting cards where you can get fresh flowers or balloon bouquets. Their bakery is amazing - the best cookies and cakes and very pretty designs for birthdays and holidays. They often run sales too. They also offer grocery pickup, with dedicated parking spots near the pharmacy entrance where you can wait. Self checkout is available but the cashiers are super nice. They also have a machine inside where you can get lottery tickets.
This was my first experience shopping online and picking up in store. My shopping list only had 14 items, so l was hoping this would save me some time. NOT, it took 2 hours to get. They substituted items l asked not to be substituted. They didn’t have most of the items l needed. The things they did provide were not what l requested. For example: I asked for a gallon of milk. I received a half gallon that cost more than a gallon. I asked for Perdue perfect portions chicken breast that come individually wrapped and are thinly sliced for $10.29. They gave me 2 chicken breast for $12.58. Overall, this was a learning lesson and a perfect example of if you want something done right, do it yourself. Never again will l ever shop online with Jewel.
Jewel-Osco has long been a community staple... and oh, how I tried to hard to work for this company many years ago....performed outreach here, informing the community of free services provided to them, at no cost, and passed out literature to that extent. Jewel-Osco has one of the most continually impressive floor displays, throughout the store! It appeals to the shopper, and I am an avid cook, so. It makes you feel good about shopping here! East of Stony Island and On 95th Street in the Plaza. Wonderful experience, will return again to perform outreach, or maybe..just make an inquiry, about that 'delayed career hope' as a spokesperson for ...well, nevermind.. Thanks Jewel-Osco....keep doin' what you're doin' ....from a loyal customer.
No carts were available had to go to the lot to get one, stock was low and when I went to check out I went to the self check out I wanted to get a Jewels gift card I didn't see it the gentleman who was working at the check out station pointed to where the gift cards were I ask him to get it because I didn't want to lose my place or get back in line He told me he couldn't move from his station, I didn't understand because he had another employee working with him , it didn't stop them from talking about some other employees be terminated,I personally felt he could have let the other employees get it,I had to get back in line to make the purchase for the gift card.Bad customer service. This incident happened Sunday 6-12-2022 at 6:35 pm.
This is another great store since my Ultra foods closed. Sales are very good. I don't know who does the cooking, their chicken is off the chain. I bought the 8 piece for a wonderful $5.99 reasonable price. I got my chicken home and bit into a drumstick and lost control. The meat was cooked so well it just fell off the bone. It was seasoned just right. I thought I was going to eat all 8. Well I managed to save some for dinner today. Go get you some good chicken from Jewels in Munster. Happy eating. Also it seems their items get sold fast so when they have sales you better hurry and get what you are trying to buy. If you wait to late you may end up with a raincheck or call Jewels in South Holland for the sale items.
I appreciated that the odor of the deli and meat departments was clean...I barely even smelled the chicken at the deli. Also the shelves were stacked neatly. However, at self checkout, although staff was present, the process for customers needing bags would have gone much smoother had we not needed to first scan our products and then ask for bags. If you desire to get grab and carry then this self checkout is the way to go. And had there not been so much overstock in the self checkout area, they would have gotten 4 stars instead of 3, because all the employees I encountered were polite. It's waiting for bags and failure to keep self checkout free of excessive overstock which made me opt for a rating of 3.
Fully staffed, fully stocked and friendly workers. My problem is with Self Service can be a problem. There are too many holds, delays and mechanical problems with these Self Service registers. I know with computers nothing is perfect, but how about an update with these machines or something. In the last month or so I had to wait behind someone to finish ( more than 15 minutes) or someone had to wait until I finished with my check out. The process is slow and people use these Self Service lines for fast efficient check out and sometimes that is not the case. Most of lines in this store are long with tedious wait times; it would be nice for customers to have options that eliminates the wait. Thank you!
I have been shopping here for yrs used to be a good overall store really still is until you get to SELF checkout their is a brown-skinned lady that work up usually wear straight hair with a few curls in it she is the only and main reason shopping at jewels can be impactful because she is very mean she has an attitude everytime a customer call her if we have an issues makes customer not even want to call her the rest of the reps are nice and always helpful but her a big No No she is not fit to be on the front-end they way she is as a person definitely speaks through her attitude other than that jewel is and over all god store.
I love jewels but honestly it's a great place that has prepaid food and they have great sales it's a great place to get food but if you're honestly on a budget I wouldn't recommend going there all the time but I personally go there if it's things that I can't find at the other stores that I buy my food from like my Yogi tea I have to go there and get it and I actually went looking for my Yogi tea and they didn't have a two boxes which was said and I have to go back I go to get pacific things but if I have to do my shopping shopping for food and shopping for the house I couldn't do it because that price is so high
I love this store and how they remodeled, whatever you're looking for you will find it in Jewel, the deli section can use some work on the customer service, I got a 8pc grilled chicken, you get 2 of everything, instead she gave me 3 dried up old wings, 1 breast, 3 thighs (I hate thighs) and the rest in legs, the young lady did not communicate with me that she was doing something different and why, I felt so cheated, the chicken was over seasoned and not cooked all the way, which means that it was really wet, I was so surprised and disappointed, they're chicken is always good BUT NOT THIS TIME
I usually love this Jewel bakery but the last few times I’ve ordered a cake from here it’s been horrible. Last time a got a photo cake, I picked it up and the photo had wrinkles all in it. This time I rescheduled my cake 3 days ahead of pick up because of bad weather and party cancellations to be picked up the following weekend. When I got my cake it was beautiful but the actual cake was supper hard and dried out when we went to eat it. So I’m assuming that they had already made the cake 3days prior to pickup the week before Needless to say I will never order a cake from here again.
The selection is sad, compared to other Jewel-Osco it's as if this one is a 7-Eleven that happens to have produce. There is never Enough cashiers, went today at 7 a.m. one cashier 8 people in line, that's ridiculous. A man with 3 sticks of deodorant had to wait 4 a full cart that was in front of him because no one was working another register. I will never shop at the store again. One last thing if you even attempt to buy a pack of cigarettes with your groceries be prepared to not only wait in line but to be an inconvenience to the other people who maybe only have 3 deodorants.
This is MY neighborhood Jewels. I been coming for a long time an I have nothing to point out other then their store hours. It’s says they open till midnight. Here it is 11:40pm. I need to make a legit last min run for some milk for my nephew and they talking about they closed. I AM PISSED‼️‼️‼️ post the correct store hours an follow with them. And this is not the first time they have been closed before closing time. I don’t want to say that I have to keep going to this store but I’m pissed off I couldn’t get what I needed knowing I had 20mins of time left
The employees are always friendly and the customer service is excellent! ****Update **** I ordered a 48 piece chicken on 6/18/22 for pick up on 6/25/22 @ 1pm, when I arrived the chicken wasn't ready and I had to wait, they only had one person fixing the orders. After I left I proceeded to eat a breast piece of chicken and it was under done. I have never had a problem before, just this one time. I'm enroute to my family cookout and have to figure out a way to recook this chicken. First time being disappointed with my neighborhood Jewel.
I like this store except for when I arrive and have to encounter the rude & aggressive cart collector. The man has yelled in my face & cussed at me for no reason on numerous occasions. He then proceeds to slam the carts inside the front of store in a hostile manner, trying to scare other customers and I as we try to get a cart. His conduct is very aggressive and scary. Steer clear of this man. I reported him to management and nothing was done. I shop weekly here and this unprofessional man is still there with the same aggression.
this jewel needs to be investigated. I had the worst experience there until I feel I will never go back if I can help it. The only way I go back is i am push for time and I couldn't go any place else. The cashier in the excess line tried to convince me that my change belong to her. I had to call for the manager to explain to her that she couldn't take my change. And I feel if she was trying to do this to me how many persons have she done this to and have succeeded . It is just my belief she is not the only one.
Great selection of food's, I didn't like the fact that my cashier, who was older than all of the other cashier's had to ring up the items and bag them too while all the other cashier's had baggers, yet I had 2 carts of food and the other lanes had much less. I wanted to help her, but she was moving so efficiently I couldn't. I made mention of it to her and she spoke with someone and they beckoned all baggers to the front. She got a bagger and I told her I'm glad she said something and have a blessed day
I went to pick up a rotisserie chicken for someone and they are now kept behind the counter. Ok fine, I pulled a ticket which was 15 numbers later. Soon as they called my number they say they're out of chicken, after waiting for 20 minutes. I suggested they announce that, so other people waiting would be aware. And the employee said this. "How am I suppose to know that we're out of chicken?" Smh Then she shouted no more rotisserie chicken for 20 minutes and jerk chicken is an hour.
At the deli worth waiting in line for the banana pudding got the last of it but I no someone else wanted some so they should just make a little bit more it would be nice an i do no why they stop making the big one that was to much now not enough a little bit more would be good if left over let the employees take it home I came by before an didn't get none so just try it once more an if that dont work I will understand nothing should be wasted thanks Calvin martin.
Extremely rude staff , racist. Followed me through the entire store. Continuously kept bumping my cart. Then accused me of stealing after I threw my receipt away walking out of the door. The worker was able to print a duplicate of my receipt , she then said it was not my receipt and there was no way to prove it was mine. Called in support and management , eventually got a refund. NEVER RETURNING TO THIS LOCATION. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END.
The store itself is fine, it's the checkout that's a problem. The register voice assistant is so obnoxiously loud it's ridiculous. Along with that, the bags are not available you have to wait for them to pass them out like we're in elementary school. I understand that people do unscrupulous things, but that's not the majority. This store is a few minutes from my house, but I prefer to drive 30-45 minutes just for the peace and quiet when I'm checking out.
I grew up going here, moved out of state and am back. OMG, I'm so disturbed how trash this store is now. Staff mostly look like they'd rather be anywhere else. I literally was asked for money by 1 person walking in and 2 inside! Trader Joe's is 10mins away...the experience is light years apart. I wanna support my community, but this is laughably bad. Like my partner and I literally laughed at how bad it was. Which is actually sad.
my experience was terrible. I put things in my basket that were on sale and when I got to the register, the young lady rang them up for the regular price, I ended up paying 50 dollars for some water and some potato chips in a box, be careful when you go to jewels, the cashiers will not tell you what's on sale or adjust the prices for you they're gonna ring you up for the full amount look at your receipts
Cakes in display was so pretty, I wasn't as nervous that my daughter’s 11th bday cake was being baked here for the first time. the initial baker who took my order, Mexican lady was really nice as well. I go to pick up my daughter’s cake and sad to say it was ugly it looked nothing how I described it to the initial baker, I see now why they want you to pay full price upfront before you get your cake.
The store is well lit, clean, appears to have adequate staff who are largely well informed and can answer customer questions. The food choices are excellent, reflecting general food choices of the clientele. Produce is immaculate and with great variety. Convenience pre-cut choices excellent. There is a butcher and there is fresh & frozen seafood with a top notch pharmacy team in its drudgery store.
Its a well stocked an orderly environment. The customer service is quite helpful for a number of things. There is a change converter on the premise (nice touch). The rest room tends to be well kept. Note: I have a mobility disability. So having access to a power chair (they have a number of them) for the disabled really allows me to shop independently. Overall, I like giving this store my business.
They mess up my bank card, they were suppose to use my food stamps card for food, but they use my debit card, without me even punching in my pin numbers at all, saying I was to closed to the thing, and it charge my debit card for me. I got so mad and confuse, confused, I'm looking forward to my money on my debit card in about a week,so frustrated at them. My money better be in my account in1 week. Lol.
The only problem I have about this Supermarket is the Deli which the food is great but the service is very slow when busy! People order more than 3 items. They need more people at the Deli counter to speed things up. I have been to other Supermarkets and the service is far better! I will continue to go to this Jewel because the Bakery has great tasting goods as long the items I want are there!
No I did not have a pleasant experience because an employee was rude. He ranted that he did not know how to fix the scale. I was told it's simple deduction, common sense. I should do the math. I really don't think any customer should be spoken to so rudely. I feel if you are unhappy with job then you need to give it up. I'm a senior and I feel these young people do not respect there elders.
It is grocery store but the employees are more approachable and friendly. I prefer to shop this location than others. If have a question, they don't brush me off or say they'll check in the back and never return. If they say they're going to look, they actually go look and bring back something or return to ask if I want to order it. I like their customer service attitude.
Stopped in to grab a few things. Overall store is clean & organized. Not crowded & plenty of things to choose from. No empty cashier stations either. Every single one was being manned & there were baggers at each one as well. They had the Monopoly on display, but I didn't receive any tickets or a board even though I spent over $200 so don't know whats going on there.
The store is usually clean, but here recently, the floors are deplorable, especially starting at the entrance on the deli side all the way back to the seafood pier. Also, the parking lot could be cleaned more often to keep the seagulls away. It's be nice if next year this Jewel would consider an outdoor seating area, since there's obviously no room to put it inside.
Need more workers went one day self check out closed cause no workers... I did a application I have experience never returned my call for a job, guess they downsizing went today self checkout was closed again... Yikes meanwhile I'm still waiting for a callback for the job because the hr rep never returns my calls maybe I should give up ♀️
Overall quality and quantity are good. MUCH better than 87th which should just be shut down. If I had the time I'd file suit against them for that location. The food is not fresh. It rots within literally hours of leaving the store. It's a hazard to the community and I believe it's remained this way because it's in a predominantly black underserved community
I enjoy going into Jewel-Osco the cashier's I kind all of the staff members that I have met I'm always in jewels they're nice they speak if you need to know where something is they let you know they'll even walk you to the Isle to show you whatever you're looking for seafood department Love it I love the deli department to the vegetables are fresh
Nice experience anythin everything was I order I think its stupid to put locks on the carts. Understanding that they dont want the carts to get stolen. But if I am by myself it makes it impossible to tske my groceries to my car. I had to lift up the cart to bring it to my car. Now tell me who is going to do that everytime? Nobody that's who.
The Jewel-Osco in South Holland is the only Jewel-Osco that I have patronized within a 100-mile radius that suddenly stooped ordering and selling oat vegan ice cream: these South Holland people are corrupt and otherwise unprofessional.Few checkers, with the exception of one, (an older African American woman), are consistently professional.
Never enough of anything but wine and spirits. This Jewel-Osco should be a mini mart. Most of the expensive items are made of imitation products...Moreover, the pastries are always filled fruit flies or circling around; Also, most package things come with hair as an extra incentive. The location: 7530 S Stony Island Ave, Chicago, IL.
When I got to the check out,I noticed that there weren't any bags hanging, and a lady asked if she could help me and I told her the situation and she asked how many I needed and handed me my bag.has it come to this! Someone has to hand you however many bags that you need, instead of them being supplied like they normally are. Wow!!!
Good place. They usually have what I need when I need it quickly. The customer service is like a 8/10. Sometimes they can't really answer a question about certain items but it's cool. The produce is fresh or above average fresh. The hot foods here is good. Gotta get it when they first bring it out. Overall is a nice decent store.
All jewels that I have visit and especially the one on 95th and Stony Island it seems to be the best store or a good store to go in shop and grab the things you need and the people inside that work there are very good there's some of my seen for over four years so there's a staple work staff I love it Jewels 95th and Stony Island
Shopped late on Sunday night, management pulled all check out lines but one. The line of shoppers nearly reached the end of the store. I have never experienced this low level of service before at this store. Their staffing level shows a high degree of disrespect for their customers. If this continues, I will shop somewhere else
Very few carts upon entry at east door. A lot of shelves have not been restocked. Its minor, but couldn't find old bay seasonings. Everthing has been moved; making finding things frustrating! Lane numbers needed in parking lot so that you can find your car! I got the feeling that the store is about to close. Grade? C. Maybe C-
Very crowded I appreciate the fact that they had plenty of electric shopping carts for the handicap I don't often use one but today I needed one. The lines were moving very fast I was in and out in 45 minutes we have a snow storm expected so I expected to see a lot of people and it was but they still move pretty fast
I like shopping @ this Jewel because they usually have a good selection of the items I want. The fruits and veggies are nice and firm. There is a variety of meats available. I like to shop the clearance items and unadvertised sales. It's always busy here but I don't have to wait in line for too long to check out.
If u still need a decent grocery store in Chicago, this is a good location. Just remember to bring ur own reusable shopping bags. I grew up shopping g at Jewel. Glad it's still around. Strawberry shortcake with whipped creamed icing is awesome. A little more expensive now ($9.99-$14.99) but what isn't these days?
Very friendly staff, clean store, and there's hardly ever a time when I can't get what I need. It also feels bigger inside, than other Jewel-Oscos that I've been to in the city, so it's nice having enough space to move around, without it seeming like there's a big crowd. I highly suggest this location.
I love Jewel the store is a good location and the ppl is nice and friendly and the staff are on point so with that said I will be a Loyal customer for a long time to come oh but wait I will be glad when you guy's start to raffle thing off very soon Thank you very much Mr.Holman a long time customer
This Jewel has friendly staff, but be prepared to wait in line for a long time. There are always long lines. The deli has really good homemade chicken cesar salad and banana pudding. The deli prices are on the high end, but you can usually find good deals on produce, cereal, and random products.
I was in line at the checkout counter yesterday and was told, the line was closed after I had been standing there for 5 minutes waiting, Cashier light was on, when I got in line... was told by the manager that happens sometime like I should accept that...Very bad customer service and management
Great store that is convenient to the community it serves. The produce is fresh and maintained throughout the day. The meat selection is good and a variety of cuts is offered by the butcher. The cashiers are courteous and friendly to the customers. One stop shopping for all of your needs.
Most foods in the store are basically other priced. Their foods can usually be purchased at other places at lower rates. The meats brought from Jewel many times seems to go bad before their use by date arrives. However, Jewel carries a decent variety of goods, and is usually well stocked.
I just moved here from the Northside. There isn't allot of Hispanic in this area which it's ok. Bit can they at least have a Spanish section for us. Like real tortillas not American. Or sazón and we'll other Spanish stuff. That's all can't complain about this place or the worker's.
Nice adventure but center alcohol display was guarded with 3 stock men asking what are you looking for. He was asking only single women & not men or couples. If you going to have a certain dialogue set up for a particular situation. Use it on all the customers. Not just a few...
Ridiculous. How often do I try to purchase something at their deli but end up walking away because of not enough employees back there. Shouldn't have to wait 15 to 30 minutes to get a slice of Turkey. The crazy part is I see people back there but only one is serving customers.
I wanted red grapes and donuts, but I bought red grapes, red cherries, 2 nectarines, and muffins. Jon, a Jewel's employee, was stocking fresh red cherries that looked AMAZING!!!!! So I appreciated Jon's assistance in finding the fresh produce I will enjoy in the days to come.
I didn't have 2 wait long 4 2 pick up my meds . There were a long line @ the cashier . It were clean n the store. They were doing the parking lot . I know that they want us the people b happy. Jewel is very high on things n here. …
Very nice store, helpful staff. Recently renovated and very organized. They always have quality fresh produce and meats. I always shop at off peak times and items are very well stocked and I can get in and out in no time. Only complaint is they should be open 24 hours.
The food use to be excellent, however they have scaled back on the quality of the food. I was very disappointed this time. The food was salty and not seasoned . I ordered chicken fried rice and had a very hard time finding the chicken in the rice. So disappointed!
I stopped in on 95th stoney location for the Barefoot sale 6 or more 1.00 they were out."always in the black area's". I was also looking to buy this Mccormick seafood sauce (butter lemon dill ) "Gregory assisted me he was awesome " the 5 star is for him !!
Prices are awful. They selling sour. And Tennessee pride sausage meat. Which means they are poorly storing refrigerated foods. Foul. When people need their health. Jewel don't give a damn. Selling spoiled meat to our community. At exorbitant prices.
This Jewel-Osco is just ok. They have all the items you need but the customer service of the cashier's is lacking. They need to work with them and emphasize smiling, greeting and thanking the customers. They act like they are doing you a favor.
I love the new look for Jewel on 95th st. They have the best bakery and deli at this location more than the other Jewel locations; just my opinion. It's so convenient and a better alternative to always having to go to Wal-Mart for everything.
Jewel on 95th is pretty good. They usually have everything I am looking for. Their cashiers are friendly and generally have good customer services. My complaint is bagging. I need them to be more aware of the best way to bag groceries.
Pleasantly satisfied with the experience. Purchased a few items to make a healthy broccoli salad, Michigan style for mom. I also purchased, Cheesecake factory multi-grain bread (brown bread). Delicious! Jewel-Osco a hometown favorite.
Jewels has options for everyone. You can buy sushi, fried and grilled chicken, a variety of salads, bakery good and much more. Jewels is a full line grocery store and drug store. It gives our neighborhood options for every individual.
Customer service was good some of their prices for meat were high but I did find some sell items. They are upgrading their freezer department that's a plus due to Covid-19 there were limits on how many people could be in the store.
The employees at the store are very helpful and courteous. There were some great sales and great food. I received a 10% discount from the pharmacy after I received my free flu and pneumonia shots. Just a great experience overall.
I like this location for the most part. Its clean. There is plenty of room to shop. The produce is abundant and fresh. There are a variety of items in stock. This is one of the good jewels on the Southside which is why I shop here.
Lines long! Guess it's because it is the beginning of the month. Employee was kind enough to direct people to self check out. Self checkout is a job killer. Of I dont work there why would I operate in the capacity of an employee
Anchor store located in large strip mall next to 94E /57S highways. Lots of grocery, toiletries, sundries, liquor, pharmaceutical options and more. Extra large free parking lot shared with various retailers and restaurants.
The store was very clean and the shelves were fully stocked and it was the day before a holiday. The prices were good. The pharmacist and the cashier were both very friendly. I would recommend shopping and this location.
I don't usually shop at this Jewels but shopped by to pick up a few things. The store was fully stocked, very clean. Mask required. I was able to get everything I needed. It wasn't too crowded. Cashier was very pleasant.
Excellent service. The staff at the meat depth was, excellent. They cut skirt steak for me which was very nice. The young lady there is always wonderful. The checkout cashier was very friendly and alerted me to a sale
The store has done a remodel and it's very nice! The lines are usually not too long. I usually shop there for sale items as the regular items are a little expensive but to be expected. The clerks are always nice!!
They have a wonderful produce section. You can find just about any kind of fruit or vegetable. From time to time they have awesome in-store only sales. I feel really happy when I stumble upon those little jewels.
I tried the deli for the first time. I was quite surprised to find the fried chicken stale and cold, despite the cashier telling me that it was freshly made. Probably won't use their Deli for "Hot" foods again.
This is one of my favorite Jewel locations. They are usually fully stocked with items I buy and it's nice and clean. I also noticed that the lines aren't as long vs other locations, and the bakery is very good.
I drove over there because they have the freshest pita bread, however, tonight, they had none. I wonder if the store is experiencing financial trouble. Their selections have decreased in the last two months...
The location had enough staff to service so there was a short wait in line. There were fresh deli items for purchase that had been prepared that day. Ample parking and cart/bag assistance evening the evening.
I had a great experience with the employee at jewels they treated me with kindness and respect, the food I purchased wasn't outdated, even some the customer had a great attitude, I will definitely be back
Neighborhood jewel but it is clean and huge!! The hot food section smells delicious with all the food cooking.. i wanted everything to eat from the kitchen!! This place is a "jewel" all pun intended!!
Had a wonderful shopping experience there. They were celebrating Black History month They had all types of food and drink samples and raffles going on. It was such a festive occasion. Great event !
I don’t got to Jewel often but I did notice a much better selection of food with lower sugar, fat & salt. This is major since it’s in the middle of a black & brown neighborhood. Good Job - Jewel.
Two guys who were stocking up by the liquor department today were so helpful I appreciate them a lot, but those in the deli department were rude and unorganized very disgusted as a true customer.
Best chicken to order. I live in Merrillville and when I need some chicken to order, I'm coming here to 95th. Make sure you put your order in here, good customer service and the flavor is great
Always stocked and workers are very friendly and helpful. Edit!!!! They lost me when you have to stand there and wait for somebody, anybody to bring you bags for self checkout. It's ridiculous!
The store is big and has many varieties of food to pick from. Their freezer game is on point and the roasted chicken, 8 pieces for $6.99, is perfect on days you don't feel like cooking dinner.
Jewels on 95th and Stony Island is huge! A produce section to die for. Seafood variety is good but not as large as some other Jewels. Great clerks. Clean and lots of open parking spaces.
Large assortment of meats and sides in the deli. Priced by the pound. New to store and got confused with the tickets. My cousin was with me to help me out. Otherwise I'd give them a 5.
Good sales today . Picked up some catfish and grits. Receipt says that I saved over $23.00 on the items I purchased. Glad that they were open. Sam's Club and Walmart are closed. …
I have been shopping there for 20 years. Once in 2009, Peanut Tillman, Jonny Knox and Alex Brown bagged my groceries. Devine Hester was a no show. Loved it. I didn't get an autograph.
It's well stocked. The manager made sure there were registers open. I noticed him constantly moving around making sure each area was in order. He must have been a Capricorn like me!
