I'm not sure what it is about this actual location because I've ordered from other Jimmy Johns with no problems but whenever I order from this location there is a problem. One time in December of last year I ordered online and even though I put in that I am on South Main Street, when I got to the confirmation page it just said Main Street (this happens every time and after the first experience with this problem I always follow up with a phone call to specify South Main) and the delivery person called and I explained that I was on South Main Street and even specified the floor number again (he was at North Main apparently). Then the delivery person calls me back to ask me again what floor I'm on and I repeated the information to him and then he told me he was in the elevator and there was no floor for the one I claimed to be on. I explained to him he was in the wrong set of elevators. When he came up (and by this time my order wasn't here freakishly fast but no one was complaining) the delivery person proceeded to yell at our back-up receptionist and said to make sure whenever anyone from this office ordered they needed to make sure the address was correct. Since then, I would safely say the flaw is with the Jimmy Johns online ordering system since it defaults to "Main" even when you enter "South Main" when you proceed to the next page and no matter how many times you attempt to edit it, it goes back to the defaulted "Main". The next time I ordered for an event at the office my order consisted of 3 sandwiches, 2 bags of chips and one cookie....when the order was delivered to the front desk, it only consisted of the 2 bags of chips and one cookie, no sandwiches....really?!? The other half of the order was still at the store and I had to call them and ask them to deliver that as well. Finally today, 8 sandwiches were ordered with 2 people ordering chips with their sandwiches. I then added extra chips at the end of the order in case people changed their minds once they got their sandwiches and decided they wanted chips. When the order arrived all the sandwiches were there but upon further examination once the delivery person was gone, the 2 order of chips that were placed with the sandwiches were left off the order (apparently the order wasn't reviewed very carefully before it left the store). I don't think they can be considered "freakishly fast" if the order always seems to be incorrect and someone has to come back out with the items that are missing. And honestly, how hard is it to maybe comp a couple of cookies to make up for the error, inconvenience and aggravation? But like I said, it just seems to be this location. I've ordered from other Jimmy John's and haven't had any problems.
In past I’ve been pleased with this location but today not so much. I placed a $509 (including the tip) order for my staff online. Someone from the store called to let us know that we wouldn’t be getting it for a few hours. Which is fine. But then they proceeded to complain that we should have placed the order a day earlier because they already had $1000 in catering already today and that now they had to go get bread to cover the order. Other websites I’ve ordered catering from don’t allow me to place a large order same day but Jimmy John’s did. Which is why I placed the same day order with them. Then when we get the order 3/4 of the sandwiches were roast beef when we ordered a variety of different sandwiches. Will definitely NOT be having them cater for my staff again. UPDATE: I wanted to give an update and say the corporate office reached out to me and then so did the GM, Jonathon. They gave me store credit and a discount for my next catered order. More importantly is they are working with the staff to ensure improved customer service for large orders in the future. I’m quite impressed with their quick response and their willingness to make things right. Not many businesses are willing to do so. I will definitely give them a try again in the future.

Edit: The response from the owner was heartfelt and enough for me to change this review to 3 stars. I don't think I'm going back because I just don't want to deal with it anymore, but I genuinely feel the owner cared in their response and will try to make things better for other people with similar needs. I am autistic and I have sensory issues involving food. These people ALWAYS get my order wrong. Even when they get it right, they regularly make me feel stupid and humiliated for asking for a sandwich without certain ingredients (i.e. without guacomole, that's literally all I want). I took a break from them for two years because I thought maybe it was just the staff. It's not. I literally cannot eat here. I've offered to pay more than the full cost of a more complicated expensive sandwich despite not having many of the ingredients. They refuse. I've never had a problem at any other sandwich store (i.e. Subway, Toasters, etc.) so I know I'm not the problem. I'm already ashamed enough of my food needs, but not being able to eat here when everyone else wants to makes it even worse. If you are autistic, special needs, allergic, or literally have any request besides word for word what is on the menu, save yourself their rudeness and apathy and go somewhere else. Toasters is literally right next door.
Miscommunication turns into no problems at all. I ordered a lunch sandwich for my wife working downtown and when the Jimmy John's associate showed up to deliver her sandwich she was in a meeting and the meal did not find her that day. Cody a great employee and possible manager and my friend called me, sent a text, and even sent email to me concerned that wasn't happening correctly. I wasn't able to get ahold of him till very late in the day. He directed me to the manager on shift that night, Pyper, and I called her and gave her the details. She informed me she wasn't able to fix it in that evening but told me that we could call her tomorrow as she would be on shift in the morning. They would correct the issue. All that she did was amazing and my spouse now was able to enjoy a very good lunch today. Thank you Cody, Pyper, and your team for going the extra mile and delivering extraordinary service!
So my work used to order from this Jimmy Johns almost on a daily basis, but the last couple of weeks most of the people who take our calls or delivers are extremely rude to us and complain that they hate delivering here all the time. Just within a week, we found hair in one of the staff's sandwiches and a couple of days after we had the rudest delivery guy come in and complain that two of our staff members ordered at different times and he hated coming to the same place twice and gave our staff a hard time. We deal with appointment's at my work so we can't get everyone's order at the same time, plus with the higher delivery fee, it make's them more money to come more often. On other occasions, the food had taken about an hour to get here and one time it didn't even show up! The food is good when it gets here but the customer service is awful!
It's JJ's!! What more do you expect. Fast, Delicious, and super convenient! *Update* More than 3 years have passed since I left this review. I had to make an update as my most recent visit was freaking awesome. Picture this: Lunch hour, shop is bustling, 4 peeps in front of me in line, I'm on a conference call (on mute) deciding on what I want. Very quickly it's my turn, I order the Turkey. No sooner than had I pulled out my card to pay had they placed the sandwich in front of me. I was truly shocked. I mean seriously, this place has at least 4-5 delivery dudes running in and out, two ordering terminals with no waiting in between and I had my sandwich before I could physically swipe my card! Amazing, simply amazing!! Keep it up guys, love coming to this shop when I am in a hurry. Sandwiches are always delicious and hit the mark.
Okay... For starters. This food is good. But this service... My gosh, this service is bad. The guy NEVER remembers a pen for signing. And they always ask, "what about the gratuity?" One of the times, I was too broke to pay a tip, and he asked that and I stuttered and then he said, "oh, did you leave one online? I'll call." And then called in and it wasn't until his call was over he gave me my bag, disappointed. Then the second time, my coworker ordered from here, they routed to SugarHouse? And by the time the order was fixed and routed back here, her lunch break was over, so she told the guy she was sending her coworker, and he asked me for a tip, then! Very disappointed. But the Jimmy Chips are good, so I have to give them that.
I haven’t been here for a while. The last time I was here, I bought someone (and myself) a sandwich. The person I bought a sandwich for had asked me, “got any spare change?” I only had my card. They have lots of condiments & drinks. Air conditioning in The Judge Building. His name was Anthony. I hope he’s doing okay now. Sad I’m probably going to be the one asking for spare change in the same place soon years later. Heartbreaking… coincidentally, I was fired due to the nefarious actions of the lawyers who work in this same building on the top floor in May ‘21. Made a podcast about it. Pretty building. Nice location downtown. Not very safe at night after close. Lots of police cameras watching & listening after dark.
Lady taking orders was rather unpleasant. I told her what I was ordering (#15). She did not bother to ask if it would be a combo or I wanted anything else, she just proceeded to close the order. At that point I told her I wanted chips and a drink hence the combo number. I had to ask for my updated total, this seemed to annoy her for whatever reason I do not know. During the entire ordering process the cashier seemed distracted and otherwise uninterested. My food was not placed in a bag when I received it nor was I offered any kickin ranch sauce. Please turn your obnoxious dining room music. I'll continue to dine at 400 S location from now on.
I was in a hurry to get some lunch so I ran over to grab a sandwich. I am a regular to Jimmy Johns but never been to this one. Was in a hurry so ran through the door with no mask on and was immediately stopped and yelled at "put a mask on or leave" I had a mask in my pocket so i put it on. Looked around and not 1 other person was wearing a mask. Guy behind me came in ordered and got his food with no mask. Made it super awkward. On top of that they were rude and got my order wrong. Ordered a Cubano and they gave me some weird Cubano with Turkey and Mayo and no mustard. Def wont be back here.
This location is the best. I ordered a sandwich today, that arrived to me NINE minutes after ordering. That includes making the sandwich, driving to my location (which is 5 minutes away) and walking up the 3 flights of stairs. I had to tell everyone in my office how quick it was! This is a typical experience when I order.. they are quicker than walking downstairs and using a microwave lol! They have never gotten an order wrong. I use them for single lunches, catering, group lunches, etc! They are super yummy and have so much variety. Plus - their rewards program is amazing! I ♥ Jimmy!
I'm a big fan of Jimmy johns. That being said when I order something, you kind of expect to get that. Order a 32oz coke not a 20oz coke. I got the lame excuse of well its more expensive than the 32oz fountain coke. And that you end up with 20oz coke anyways well its not about that its I prefer a fountain coke due it will stay colder longer than a bottle coke. I don't drink it all in 1 shot. I appreciate the convenience of the delivery. But if this is what I going to get I'm not going to use that location anymore.

I ordered a sandwich, chips, cookie, and a bottled coke and everything arrived in a nice neat paper bag that was stapled closed. I opened the bag to find a opened bottle of coke that was about half empty. I checked the bag and other items for soda leakage but it was all dry and I could only conclude that someone packed a half drank coke into my order. My drink was missing altogether from the order I had made a few weeks prior to this one. I'm pretty sure this place has a note next to my contact info in the system that says "f*#k with this guy!".
I used to love Jimmy John's, but something has changed. I've given the food several tries (I even went today) and I'm consistently disappointed. The flavor is bland-- flavorless bread, Walmart-quality lunchmeat, boring mayo/mustard, and the weirdest texture of lettuce. I honesty don't know how they make a sandwich that tastes so thoroughly blahh-- it's a sandwich! Not that hard. After 3-4 visits to make sure it wasn't just a fluke, I've officially concluded that their food is not worth eating.
There's never a whole lot to say about even the best national chain location. The staff are friendly and competent, and seem to work quickly. So quickly, in fact, that I've had sandwiches made while I've been in the process of ordering them. A couple of times I've been here and there's been difficulty ringing transactions up, but I'm not sure where to put the responsibility for that on. The location does have all the standard fixings at a Jimmy John's, and no real surprises in flexibility.
I work at night and ordered food from this location to get me through the night. I gave specific instructions to call when they arrived for delivery. The delivery person sent me a text, waited 5 minutes, and left. I contacted them 4 minutes after that and they simply said "Sorry." Called the store and they would only void the transaction because the delivery closed 10 minutes ago. The situation really filled my stomach. Terrible customer service. Nice to be left high and dry.
How can you go wrong with Jimmy John’s? The place is always clean, especially this location on Broadway in Salt Lake City. Not a great parking situation but if you catch it right, there’s actually a parking spot right outside or just in front of it. We can park for five minutes or so. But the people inside are the best. Doesn’t matter if you catch a biker or one of the sandwich makers. Everybody knows how to cash register works. And you’re in and out of there in five minutes.
I'm going to have to go ahead and give these guys 5 stars. I've been ordering from them for about a year and a half now, and they've been consistently quick, while also presenting a quality lunch. Today I ordered my sandwich, the delivery guy accidentally gave me the wrong order (no biggie, he takes like 4 orders at a time) and when they promptly sent out another one, they compensated me with a free cookie. That makes all the difference. Thanks guys! -Rob G (badappleslc)
Good location for this franchise. They make a reliably good sandwich and do so quickly. I don't believe I have ever regretted getting a JJ's sandwich. Employees were on top of things from the start. It was surprisingly slow when I was there and so I got in and out. The negative here is the parking and egress. It is atrocious and confusing. I am confident that some of it has to do with limits imposed upon JJs property by the surrounding strip mall, but man is it a pain.
First time using JJ delivery and this location and it was less than impressive. Gave them 2 stars because eventually the sandwiches showed up. Gave them 2 stars because it took 2 hours, it was only 6 sandwiches. I would not use this servive again, it is just not dependable. My sandwich was also missing some requested condiments, overall subpar service and order accuracy. I tipped generously at 25% on this order, it certainly was not earned
Okay, let's be real here: Jimmy John's is delicious, affordable, and quick. Perfect for a guy (or gal) on the go. I love their sammiches and their friendly and prompt service. I've been a long time customer and would recommend Jimmy John's to anyone. My only qualm is that the delivery area is limited, but it's understandably small so they can continue to stand by their "Freaky Fast" delivery promises. HARD 4, SOFT 5.
There was a employee who had just gotten in a terrible bike crash and had the worst road rash id ever seen! He was bloody mess a and still looked at me and said "how is your day going"? Before he was taken to the hospital by another kind employee. Service inside was great and fast as well but i hope that man that got injured gets compensated he is one of a kind with politeness
If you want a fountain drink for delivery from this location then don't bother. They'll replace it with a bottle as they deliver on bike and apparently can't figure out a way to deliver the drinks without "spilling the drinks and getting wet".

This location just really struggles. I don't know if they are under poor management or if their employees are just not properly trained, but I order lunch for delivery here quite often. Almost every other time I order they some how mess my order up. The food is always good, but the service is TERRIBLE. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!!!!
Fast service, but this location will mess up your order about half the time. They always correct it and deliver a new sandwich right away, but it happens frequently. I'll order four sandwiches for delivery, and two of the four will have different people's names on them. Someone isn't paying attention when they bag things up.
My wife and I have had the hardest time getting an order right lately. Todays Mishap a single layer thin of Salami on my # 7...... It is supposed to be double meat of two meats not half as much of Salami and zero Capricola at all period. They've been screwing up mustard and doing way too much mayo too. Big let down :(
Sucks that this jimmy Johns location wasn’t willing to oven my meat. I explained I was pregnant and couldn’t have cold deli meat cause it may contain listeria. Worker stated it was against their code? All the other jimmy John establishments I have gone to have done this for me without a problem. Bummer.
Having nothing but great things. I have ordered a handful of times for lunch as my office is around the corner. Sandwiches are always good; delivery is fast, and JJ never leaves my order alone. I have plenty of deliveries that just get left on a random table, but JJ makes sure that I get it in my hands.
I live and work within blocks of this location. I rarely order when I'm at home, but it's a great convenience when I'm in the middle of something at work and can't leave the office. Their delivery is so fast, the order has never been wrong. Nice staff. Thank you
Horrible costumer service was all rushed didn’t ask if I wanted it how it was just point blank horrible customer service and for them being right off a military base felt no respect whatsoever and was over bad experience won’t be going back More
Came in for an early dinner while on our honeymoon for a quick meal. Roxy (Roxie?) was extremely helpful and friendly, a super overall great employee. The food was great, and came out super efficiently fast. Even asked how we wanted our
Posting this for a friend who had a really bad experience within the last couple weeks. He used to get Jimmy John's all the time, almost every lunch was Jimmy John's. But, his most recent and last delivery, they took 2 hours to deliver.
Ate here for years but they are skimping on food. Cubano sandwich came with a single slice of ham, completely different than the photo on the menu. Plenty of local companies that offer a better sandwich at a better price to choose from.
Jimmy John's has some pretty good sandwiches. But if this location is open on Sundays at 11am to 9pm like it says on the website? Then why were the doors locked when I tried to go there at 11:57 am? That to me doesn't make sense. :/
pretty solid sub place, the food is delicious and I could not be happier with the experience! I come here once a week and will keep coming back! The drive thru can be a little slow but its still worth it!

These guys made it right and earned their 5 stars. They made a mistake but Piper, their manager on duty, remade our order and comped our next. Thank you guys, we will definitely be back and recommending to our friends!
Music is too loud. They removed the calories from the menu options, which is annoying and visually confusing. Food is fine. I’ve come here a lot as it’s very fast and convenient. Service has screwed up a few times.
Yes it's Jimmy Johns. But this store rings "freaky fast" the most. I started grabbing lunch here once a week about a month ago, and though the store is sometimes crowded, the speed has never been less than freaky.
Took 45 minutes to deliver the food. has to call the store twice and they said they would call back and never did. the second guy hung up on me because they were too busy. More
Its made well, but it isn’t freaky fast
