Load shedding hit and we got stucked in the elevator. We pushed the yelloe assistance at least 25 times and NO answer. Tried to phone the elevator helpline that is posted on the elevator phone number doesn't exisit. We then had to phone reception who phoned the mainteance team. Then magically someone actaully answered the yellow call button. They said they'll send someone. A gentleman came spoke in a language I don't speak tried to open didn't work and left. Then nothing but silence. Then had to phone the reception again. Then magically mainteance spoke to us via elevator call box saying we need to wait another 20 mins for the team from Randburg to come. Now already in here for 30 mins told no just wait. Had to phone reception and explain that there are clastrophobic people in the lift. Then people seemed to care. After being in the lift for 35 mins we were let out. No one asked if we were okay or say sorry just ignored us. No great service at all nor no concern for the visitors, thankfully no one was a patient stuck in the lift unattended and uncared for.

I am also looking for your list of Specialists. I need the best Orthopedic Specialist that is going to be operating and practicing at your new hospital. I am currently in a situation with my leg that i broke 3 months ago it was a open wound fracture.i broke my fibula and tibula bone. I am not happy where i am at now currently with my situation and progress as a woman it is torture now. Still no healing after 3 months.

I have been here a few times for consultations and small procedures and I am blown away every time - professionalism and friendliness that I’ve never seen in other hospitals. From security to doctors, I never felt lost or uneasy. Prices are good too. I don’t choose to go to hospital but if I had to, this would be it!

It just makes sense... 'Hospitality' at a 'hospital'.. The word says it all. The hospitality and friendliness at this hospital is phenomenal. I have never seen anything like this before at any other hospital in this country. It just makes every patient feel better already.... Well done Johannesburg Surgical Hospital.

The nurses at this hospital honestly don’t care. They show no care and compassion, especially the day shift nurses. If you ask for something or assistance, you don’t get it immediately and majority of time, you have to ask multiple times.

Went there on Wednesday to the emergency department. Wow what service was in and out in under 2 hours. What an amazing hospital. The nurses fantastic well done guys. My go to place for emergencys in the future

I have been in the inside and it looks stunning already.... And the staff they have employed so far seems very excited to be starting work soon. Absolutely amazing to witness.

What a gem of a hospital in our neighborhood. Went for a mammogram, very friendly service, beautiful environment and affordable. Really happy with this addition to our area.
