One of the best parks in the town. Nice place to host birthday parties or have a family outing. Many electric barbecue tables tops makes this a perfect place. Awsome play area for the kids of all ages. There are two tennis court to play. 3 cricket picthes to host a game of cricket with friends or opposition. Gym area to work out. Separate paths for cyclists ang joggers. A second walkway near the stream which gives a feeling that you are not in city but far away from it. The park is adjacent to Indoor stadium where you can play indoor and have fun. It hosts inflatable World too where the children can enjoy different inflated toy castles. Another place to hold kid's birthday parties where both parents and children can enjoy. The path also leads to toombul mall where you can grab snacks while going to or coming from the kalinga park. The park is easily accessible by train.. both Toombul and Eagle Junction are at walkable distance from the park. There is a very big football field at the Shaw Road end. The park also hosts a dog park which all dog lover would love and would want to come here again and again. Only downside is the parking space. Bit more parking space near the play area would have been. Don't get me wrong here people.. there is ample space at the parking and additional parking near the different cricket pitches but few more to accommodate the weekend rush would be a welcome relief. Overall a thumbs up for the park and would recommend to visit once and experience the same.

This place is amazing. Off leash dog parks for big and small dogs. Awesome adventure playground for older and younger kids (multiple), cricket grounds, half court (B-Ball), tennis courts, undercover gym equipment, bike tracks, walking tracks, toilets, access to clean water and council allows private functions to access to power. Free BBQs, scout hall and all just minutes from Toombul shopping centre and train. Fantastic for a day out, this place caters for everyone. It even runs alongside a river so if you're walking the dog on a hot day they can cool off. Gorgeous area, lush, well maintained and created with every member of your family in mind.

If you enjoy jogging this is the place to be. There's a pathway opposite a nearby bridge over the creek with beautiful trees and plants all through it. Heading West will take you really far, the path goes on and on, so if you're a cyclist or like to run long distances it's worth checking out. I love the long stretch of running track for when I feel like I need some really good exercise. You can follow the one path to get all the way to Stafford and probably even further, but I never went past there. As an added bonus, no junkies/crackheads seem to roam this public space from what I've seen, or perhaps just much less than most other places.

Good sized yard area with an undercover seating area along with a couple other benches and basic agility amenities for pups... The surrounding park areas are beautiful and it is centrally located for inner city visitors, tucked away enough to be safe... HOWEVER the grass is a dissapointment as the ground is very bare and not tended to at all, it results in an area that is dusty when dry and muddy the rest of the time. Obviously grassing an area as this is easier said than done... All said this is a decent dog park, most people pick up after themselves and are friendly enough.

Kalinga Park is a wonderful spot along the Kedron Brook. This park offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, with a beautiful green space and plenty of activities to enjoy. Whether you're looking for a picnic spot, a place to play sports, or just a scenic walk, Kalinga Park has it all. The playground equipment is well-maintained and perfect for kids, while the walking paths and bike trails provide a great way to explore the park. With its serene surroundings and range of amenities, Kalinga Park is definitely worth a visit.

Great park for the young ones. Lots of climbing equipment, slides, 4 swings, funky ducks to sit on, springing sea horses, a massive climbing wall, bouncing bridges, spider climbing frames, trees to scale in the middle of the climbing equipment. It was a hit with my daughter indeed.
Dog-friendliness
There were many dogs in this park. All playing nicely. There are also taps with dishes for the dogs and an area to let the dogs run free.
Picnic area
There are plenty of great areas to throw a picnic rug down under a shady tree.

Kalinga Part has lots of different spaces for all people. For families there is a relatively new playground, a bike track and shaded grass areas. There is a basketball hoop and a few larger open spaces and sports fields. Running next to the creek most of the adjacent housing is screened off. Public toilets are located near the playground. Conveniently located along the Kedron Brook cycleway for car free access I'd you want to avoid using the car and skipping the often busy car park.

This is a great park for all, highly recommended. The floods smashed this park, but it has regained it’s glory. Fabulous green spaces, with ample picnic areas, dog parks, bbqs and a massive playground. Bike paths, paved walking paths and bushwalking trails galore! Come in the morning and see a variety of wildlife, or chill under the shade trees. I’m sure you can find something to do here, as its pretty extensive.

  • Timothy Stephens

A large sprawling park that also acts as a flood plain for Kedron Brook. (People who have moved to the area and haven't seen the brook flood are always shocked, no idea why) With a large play area, lots of barbecues, dog park and a major Bikeway that flows through it, it is a lovely area for family gatherings and to take the kids. Just watch out for the swooping magpies in September/October

  • Harrie Truscott

Great park, kids love it of all ages. Only down side is it can be hard to see your kid on the play ground with plenty of chaos and noise, and exits on different levels which means you have to be really onto it. If you’ve got a runner they will love it here, but you might not. Side note, plenty of grassland around and a dog park next door makes it an easy all rounder.

Comfortable and green. Nice place for a picnic or just chill in the park. There's an oval plus a decent kids play area, shelters and bbq's, a mini bike track for kids to learn on, toilets and is adjacent to the creek and bike/walking tracks. On the opposite side of the creek is a small walking track featuring historically significant coal seem.

  • Warren Schrodter

Awesome playground equipment right beside the Kedron Brook waterway/bikeway. Children 3 and under will need to be under very close supervision and you will need to be prepared to climb up on the structures and follow. Can be very busy so get there early if you want a table/BBQ. Great place to spend a few hours. Bikeway right alongside as well.

Amazing facilities and really well kept. The park has loads of pathways and dedicated bike ways (in parts). I walked past public tennis courts as well as playgrounds, a hockey and football club, and I that was in less than half of the park. Definitely worth going for some exercise.

  • Allan Fulker

A great adventure playground for families. Lots of challenges for growing children. Plenty of shade and sheltered pic nice tables to enjoy eating together. There's a long pathway along side Kedron Brook to ride or walk on, so this place has a lot to offer in a convenient location.

Great park for kids of all ages. They have a smaller playground for toddlers and a bigger one for the older kids. There is lots of tables for parties. There are multiple large grass areas to kick a ball around. There is also is a large fenced off leash area for the dogs.

  • Jan Twyford-Jones

Great place to take kids for play, cycling, walking or throwing a ball around. Dog park, BBQ, tables and seats, toilets, car parking. Tennis courts x 2 - bookin online via Brisbane City Council - they are free but you have to book a week out. Playground with swings etc.

  • April Elliott

Great park and plenty of walking areas, including a creek which we were lucky enough to see and hear it running. Plenty of open spaces and tables for picnics and bbqs. Amenities were not easy to spot, also lacking signs towards them. But overall nice family park!

  • Nick R

This used to be packed but now that bradbury park is open Kalinga is nice and quiet again. Worth taking the kids for a walk over kedron brook bridge and round through the bush track down to the other bridge. Keep an eye out for bats, turtles, fish and snakes!

  • Stephen Malone

Great park for nature, great playgrounds for children, and with plenty of connecting bike paths and running paths. Many happy memories here ! Has history of those lost in war, including the tribute gates, and the regular and well attended Anzac Day ceremony.

  • Mansory_

It’s a fantastic spot for families to enjoy a fun day out! The large playground is perfect for kids and the water swings add an exciting touch, I wouldn’t recommend swimming after heavy rain because I’ve been told there could be leeches after a hard rain

  • K-J McDonnell

Fantastic playground, lots to keep kids entertained, plenty of shade, big and little kids catered for. Footpaths for bikes, picnic tables and BBQs available, toilets could do with a good clean, lots of space to run around and kick a ball.

  • Jason D

The playground is always fun for the kids and my doggo loves the off leash dog area. It’s been popular for birthday parties, just get there early to get one of the tables under the gazebos. Remember to bring bug spray for the mosquitos.

  • Skygate Dental

  • Coral-Lee Bamford

One of our favourite parks for the kids as it is good for all different ages. Thinking maybe the rubber items and painted concrete sculptures through out the park might be due for an update though. Such a beautiful spot.

  • Casey Gavin

Love this place. Beautiful walks and bike tracks. Definitely need to upgrade and maintain the kid's park though. Make sure you use lots of insect repellent, as they do tend to attack here in the afternoons/evenings.

  • Simone D
