If you're looking for a big procedure - avoid this clinic. I've had a horrible crown experience here with Dr Ahlawat and do not recommend this clinic for anything other than cleaning maybe (which, lets face it, is hard to mess up). I have never had such terrible dental experience anywhere in any city and Ive had multiple crowns done in the past, and never had to write a 1 star review for any business, but the terrible experience left me feeing very disappointed and full of anxiety and a waste of money. I waited for over a month to write this because i needed to go to another clinic to fix what this doctor has done and once it was fixed by someone much more knowledgeable i realized how much skill and expertise Dr Ahlawat is lacking, how much i was not informed of, how bad they made me feel as a patient, how unnecessary all the anxiety they put me through was, and i felt the need to warn others. Let me begin by saying i have very sensitive teeth. I needed to get a crown for one of my bottom teeth, and it happened to be one of the most sensitive ones i have. From the first appointment regarding this crown til the very end the Dr. kept insisting there will be limits to what they can and what type of crown because " your teeth are just too sensitive", thus leaving me feeling somehow guilty for something that wasnt my fault. I felt strange hearing this as a patient (should have taken this as a first major red flag but wanted to give her more chances to prove herself which i now regret) "I cant possibly be the only one in this world with such sensitive teeth??" i thought to myself? When she needed to polish that tooth to prepare it for crown measurement, she couldnt freeze it fully, i kept feeling pain and sensitivity, she kept repeating it was because of my tooth she cant do much, thus making me feel guilty and inadequate again .. i didnt want any silver in my mouth and asked for porcelain crown, she put that one on..it broke few days later!!. I was shocked as thats never happened before in any other clinic. Upon her communication with the lab she told me they'll prepare another one but they all kept warning me my teeth are just "too sensitive" and if they cant polish the tooth to the correct shape i need to get a silver crown or at least one side must be silver... i felt hopeless and confused, they made me feel bad for having the kind of teeth i had and no one else in my experience made me feel like this in the past. As a patient, my disappointment and anxiety kept rising and id leave each appointment feeling like i simply wasnt getting the best care and wasnt told of any other options. I agreed to the crown with one side being silver as thats all the options Dr offered me.. Sept 6 she put on that (second) crown.. 2 days later it fell out completely! there was also food particles inside it which led me to believe it was not even cemented properly and was a job done bad. At this point of my disappointing journey with them i had to start asking friends for other recommendations of clinics.. A month and a half later I'm not only relieved i have a beautiful WHITE crown put on made of zirconia (which was not even mentioned as an option by her) but my new dentist in detail and with great care explained all options with me, made me feel reassured and calm that there is no such thing out there as "too sensitive" and to my pleasant surprise they were able to freeze my teeth without any issues, polish and scale it and prepare for a crown so i can smile confidently. I CANNOT BELIEVE how terribly i was made to feel at this clinic with not only lack of care, lack of options, lack of skill. In retrospect Dr Ahwalat does not possess the expertise or bedside manner required to offer great professional caring service. She doesnt even offer all the possibly anesthetics to freeze sensitive teeth. If i could give zero stars i would, no patient deserves to be made to feel guilty and inadequate about something to do with their teeth and spend money on subpar service.

This clinic is worried about payment and insurance coverage. I went for checking and a cleaning, hygienist didn't do the cleaning because she needed more time, I told her to do it another day in order to get it done properly, she said she will do the half and the other one another day, she just took a simple tool and simulated to do scaling, I told her xrays showed "rocks" of dental calcus, she looked at the xrays then and told she will make a note to clean it the next time, she charged me as if she did it and told me that by the next appointment she will do the other half and clean the calcus "left" because of the lack of time. Very unprofessional. Claim was submitted to my insurance as a complete work. I left dissatisfied, upset and with dirty teeth (with rock in between). Fake cavities they quoted, more lies, very dishonest, teeth are just business for them, but teeth for me are health and wellness. You trust because you are not dentist, thanks God I am a distrustful person. I went to another clinic and all the cavities they told me my and my family had was a big lie. Thanks God I closed my file with them! Thanks God they couldn't ruin the teeth of my family.

Recently had a wisdom tooth extraction done here with Dr. A. I was so nervous and my anxiety was skyrocketing before the procedure but the DA- Leana and Dr A took the time to calm my nerves and explained the entire process to me when I asked, even though it took a great chunk of time before the actual procedure. Throughout the procedure, they kept asking me if I'm okay and helped me feel at ease throughout the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, extractions are PAINFUL and after the anaesthesia wore off, it hurt a lot. But the way I was taken care of while the extraction was being performed, and how quickly it was done, plus the post op- was all AMAZING. They even called me the next two days to follow up and ensure that I'm doing good and to see if I need anything else. Also, the post-op care rules they hand out helped a lot. Needless to say, I'm gonna stick to this clinic for all my dental needs. Kudos and THANK YOU! <3

Have been coming here since 2021 and have had great experience and never had any complaints. I just had a treatment today and they might have booked the wrong treatment for me 6 months ago(I guess they just did a copy and paste on their calendar). Dental exam, Fluoride and Polishing are normally done once a year for me since that’s how often most dental insurance allows people to do. Mine is every 9 month, so I had to pay those out of pocket and only scaling was covered, which isn’t cheap. In the past when I was with other dental offices, they had a pretty good sense of how often can something be claimed, and would even phone the insurance for me if they weren’t sure, so it never occurred to me that this could happened. Would recommend people to check what treatments they booked for and check your insurance.

I had a very bad experience with Kanata Highlands Dental. I was having some issues with my Wisdom Tooth and I went in to see Dr. Maneet Ahlawat. She took a bunch of X-rays and recommended that the Wisdom tooth be removed. The X-rays revealed that my tooth was fused with my jaw bone and that the procedure would be complicated. Instead of recommending me to a specialist the doctor proceeded to perform the procedure herself! She mentioned that she had attended a course for this somewhere! It was an extremely painful and horrible experience of her trying to pull my wisdom teeth! In the end she gave up and finally referred me to a specialist! I had to take pain medications and drink fluids for many days till the specialist was able to see me. The specialist removed my teeth in under 30 mins without any issues!

My review is still the same 5 stars 2 years later !!! I absolutely love the staff they give clear directions and are honest people. I drive across ottawa just to come to them! Such a comfortable experience each time. :) Ever since I had a bad experience at other dentist I have put off going to dentist in general. BUT after having a few visits here I have to say Dr. Maneet Ahlawat have made it pain free and they both work super fast to make it a quick and efficient visit. If you are like me and hate dentist I HIGHLY recommend you only come here for dental work. The dental care office is very clean and making it super comfortable with covid. There is no competition when it comes to who you should go to for your next dental team.

The team at Kanata Highlands Dental are amazing. Super friendly and listened to and adressed all of my concerns and worries. I went in for an emergency as my current dentist did not answer my phone calls on the day it happened. Kanata Highlands Dental did, stayed late and fit me in. They made me feel at ease, and I am a big baby about the dentist. So, thanks to the team and I will be switching to them as my fulltime dentist. :) If you are looking for a dentist, look no further. I just moved back to Kanata and my family dentist I had for decades had retired. I looked for a few and chose one in Bridelwood because I needed to see someone quickly. Wish I had found Kanata Highlands Dental first. I am happy to have found them now.

I had a wonderful experience here. From the staff at front desk at the entrance to the dentist, everyone was friendly and accommodating. They answered all my queries and were helpful throughout my experience at Kanata Highlands Dental Care. The procedures were well conducted with little to no pain felt. The doctor’s took great amounts of care and attention, seeing to it that all the procedures I went through were painless. They even took the time to explain the procedure, to calm my tensed mind and the staff at the front desk helped me a lot with the insurance aspect since it was my first time visiting a dental clinic in Canada. I will definitely be a regular here. And kudos to the excellent staff and service.

Customer service: very nice lady in front desk, offer helpful advises and kind greeting. Profession service: Doctor Ahlawat offered a very relax and pressure free dental treatment. She is humorous and aim to provide her patient a pressure-free and pleasure dental treatment. If you have problem the following day afterward, she would try her best to address your problem even though there is a schedule conflict. The best thing about her is that she is not that kind of dentist that pushes you to spend money on unnecessary dental treatment, she only recommend to get thing that needs to be done. Environment: very clean and new and I love the animal channel on tv when getting my cavities done!

I just completed my one year anniversary with my new implant installed, it is fabulous and the implant feels very much like a real tooth. Most importantly when eating, it feels natural, comfortable and I'm very confident biting down. This is the complete opposite of the feeling on the other side of my mouth which has a bridge. Yes, it costs a little more than a bridge but its easily worth it and I will never hesitate again to get an implant. The procedure takes a few visits but easy and done by professional and very friendly staff. :-) The real comparison of a bridge and implant is; a bridge is feeling a foreign object in your mouth all the time, the implant...you can't tell its there.

Highly professional, friendly and so helpful. I had a front filling replaced and the results were really impressive. I'm smiling again from ear to ear! Just had another great experience but Google won't let me add another review. This time they saw me on short notice as I broke a tooth. Not only did they patch up the tooth but they topped up some chipped fillings and did a thorough cleaning. The staff was very COVID saavy, made sure I waited in the parking lot, was wearing a mask and checked my temperature. I felt very safe. Well done and much appreciated. Looking forward to my next cleaning in ffffreeeezing FFFFFebruary, lol.

Had the worst experience here. We saw them for a consult, which was fine, then came back in 6 months for a cleaning. When we went to check in, they told us that we had been discharged as clients due to failure to show up for appointments. This was clearly their mistake. They did not even try to apologize or offer a resolution and continued to tell us we are no longer clients there without letting us know prior to this appointment. The dentist wouldnt bother to come out to speak to us and left the receptionist to come up with excuses on her own. Worst dental office. Seems like they lack organization and protocol.

As a retired dentist looking for a clinic to service my family, I feel great confidence here. The modern office is very clean, the staff is quite friendly and helpful, the clinic is geared to make appointments enjoyable for kids, with personal touches that are so appreciated, and the owner, Dr. Ahlawat, is a no-nonsense dentist who is kind and patient. The office doesn’t take assignment but they are great for scheduling appointments in quickly if you need it, hopefully Saturdays will come back with the school year. My vote is cast for this clinic, after being disappointed with several others in Ottawa.

Possibly worst experience. I haven’t gone to the dentist in a while, so I was just listening and agreeing with what was being said or told to do. Yet nothing that was given to me or told helped me with my pain. Instead, I ended up spending an insane amount of money just for a 2 minute thing with this dentist, who then prescribed something that didn’t help at all (more wasted money) and then booked me for a procedure that I had to pay another deposit for (more wasted money). Like I said, I have not gone to the dentist much, but I would never recommend this to anyone.

The only reason why this place has so many positive reviews is because they give you a discount when you leave a review. I’m not sure if this dentist is new, but while cleaning my teeth, her hand slipped and cut my gums. My mouth left really sore. Wasn’t a positive experience at all when you’re already afraid to go to the dentist. The waiting area was dirty, had a pile of sand that ants were crawling through. The dental assistant and the dentist were very rude, rolling their eyes and being very unprofessional thinking I wouldn’t see.

I do not recommend doing anything besides cleaning. Get at least second opinion on larger operations. I had two crowns done here. 3 years later crowns are swinging more than I like (I mentioned on the day they were installed but was told its ok), I have gum inflammation and now need an surgical operation done on gums. had bone tissue reduction, that might have been caused by the way crowns were installed. Besides crowns are wrong size and give illusion of something wrong with my teeth. I am looking at around 6500CAD to fix it now.

I give one extra star because the doctor cured one issue of my gum with reasonable cost. Not very pleasure experience on the other parts. The nurse doesn't allow patients ask questions and stare at patients with anger, the doctor does not check the patient's history and previous record before the treatment. They don't listen to patient's words until they found out they misjudged situation. They do cleaning with cold water which is not comfortable. I just realize how bad they are after I go to another local dental clinic.

I am not a fan of going to the dentist, but my visit for an assessment was professional and welcoming. The sign on the wall, just as you enter the building, states 'Anxiety Free' and they weren't kidding! I was relaxed by the friendly staff and the lovely, bright surroundings. I was shown photos of my teeth and was informed of problems and solutions. Overall, it was a very good visit and I will be there next week for a cleaning. If you live close to them, make a visit and keep your mouth healthy!

A lot of great things can be said about this dental office and the staff. It is located in a Kanata shopping plaza with plenty of parking and the office space is bright and clean. The customer service is also 5/5; every phone call and in-person exchange I've had since being a client there has been friendly. During appointments, I've asked many questions about my teeth, and the dental assistants and dentist have always been informative and helpful. Would definitely recommend this location!

We usually used to have a nice experience with this dental clinic here. But, I really had a severe pain when I went for cleaning with the dentist (who seems to be new) last time . My whole family experienced the pain during their cleaning routine with her which is unusual and we had not experienced this before. Even when my daughter told her it's paining, she keeps continuing with the process without even comforting her. We would appreciate it if the clinic resolve this issue.

Every time I come for my appointment, Dr Maneet Ahlawat always has the best bedside manner. She takes the time to explain the work she will do and possible alternatives if there are any. Her honesty is very refreshing. The front staff and assistants are all very wonderful and I always know my appointment will be a good one. I also appreciate the office taking the time to directly bill insurance which makes less work for myself. Thank you all for the great work you do.

They are very accommodating for my teeth sensitivity. I usually have to grin and bear it but the Kanata Highlands Dental Team, made me feel so comfortable that for the first time I didn't have to endure pain at any of my cleanings. I recently had a crown put on a old Root Canal tooth and I was so impressed with how simple the process was, especially with coordinating my insurance benefits. Thank you so much! One of my mutual friend recommended me to get treated here. I must tell you I had the best experience. The doctor and her stuff are extremely sweet, very warm and helpful. The doc made understand the issue, how soon it needs to be treated in a detailed manner. I was very pleased with her approach. Now I know where I’m going for further appointments. Very professional yet friendly dental clinic in Kanata. Dr. Ahlawat is a very thorough Dentist who patiently reviewed and explained the state of my dental health and what needs to be done. Supporting staff is very courteous and punctual. Being a new dental care, it is very well equipped and clean. Found the location appropriate for someone who works within the Kanata High Tech Area. All in All, 5 Stars.

My husband’s filling fell out that was done a few months ago by Kanata Highlands Dental “Care”and they refuse to fix it at their expense. Another prior case, without even giving a dental service to our teeth, this clinic charged us $100 for a 5 minutes visit. This is the first time that we’ve had a negative experience with a dental clinic. No customer care at all.

My brother had an appointment here recently and we so happy and grateful! He needed to see a dentist very urgently and the staff scheduled us in for an emergency visit same day itself! Dr. Ahlawat and her team are professional, caring and helped us understand the treatment needed and how to be careful until the next appointment. Would highly recommend!

Very clean space, top notch equipment, and the staff is very friendly and professional. My son had to have 2 fillings done and he was really scared it would hurt but the dr and her assistant were very patient with him and made him feel comfortable and we got the fillings done...yeaah! I totally recommend this practice for kids and adults. 2 thumbs up!

Dr. Ahlawat is super gentle, caring and transparent with her treatment recommendation decision-making process. She was such a calming presence for me. It's the first time I have been able to take a dental care without asking to freeze my gum. I also think she succeeded at extending her personality to the staff. Everyone was hospitable.

I got a filling done here recently and Dr. Ahlawat and DA- Leana did an amazing job. I usually get freezing done, but this time I was able to get the procedure done without any freezing as Dr. Ahlawat was very gentle with it and I didn't even feel a thing. Highly recommended ! I have anxiety about going to the dentist. After visiting Kanata Highlands I found both Dr Maneet Ahlawat and Vidya (hygienist) were amazing. I was extremely nervous on my first visit due to a bad experience elsewhere, but they took their time and made sure I was always comfortable and alright during any procedures. I went to the dentist for my parents as they complained about the sensitivity and tooth pain. It was a very pleasant experience visiting Dr Maneet Ahlawat, who was very patient and thorough. The receptionists were very helpful with the insurance claim forms. Overall a great place for dentistry.

This was the best experience I've ever had with a dental office. Went in for a cleaning and definitely came out with a smile. Very sanitary and strict public safety protocols. Great service with my comfort and care being the highest priority. I would recommend everyone to use this office.

Avoid for anything other then a simple cleaning! They messed up the root canal twice (they let me go thinking was good but another dentist X-ray found it to have been done wrong yet again) and won’t fix it a third time, want me to pay a whole check up , X-ray and another root canal

Nice and super clean clinic. Staff is very welcoming. I would recommend Kanata Highlands dental care for all you dental needs. Dr. Maneet is an experienced dentist and very professional. She speaks Hindi as well that made me super comfortable while communicating with her.

Had many cavities which needed to be filled. 3 times they had made them SO painful after that I could not eat. Another time I developed a massive bruise on the side of my face... needless to say I'm switching dentists. (They did fix them for free) still not impressed.

They did an awesome job . Great customer service and they did an all around amazing job. I got a filling on my receding gum line and the colour is perfectly matched I can't even tell that my tooth root was showing before . Very happy I switched dentists.

This is a terrible dentist. Extremely rude and not gentle at all. They say they can do something but they can’t. They do this just to grab your money. I was in there for 15 mins, left with my teeth bleeding and in severe pain and it costed me $200!

We recently visited this dental clinic for my wife with high expectations of receiving quality care, but my experience wasn’t that good.

I had a wonderful experience here. From the staff at front desk at the entrance to the dentist, everyone was friendly and accommodating.

I got my tooth crown here in August-2022 and in March-2023 the crown has a crack/chip in the same spot again that the previous one had!
