This is a large, very clean place with many washing machines and dryers of all kinds. You can feel free to do your own laundry, sit around while reading a book, or you can go somewhere around 30 minutes later and come back (I've seen many people do that) Washing powder price is 1 CAD (automatic machine). The laundry price is 3.50 CAD (Normal mode). If you choose "Extra Rinse" mode then add 50 cents. Average drying price is 1.50 - 2 CAD depending on the drying time. (There is an automatic coin exchange here) The manager is a Vietnamese, she is a friendly and helpful woman. She talked and gave me many tips about life here. She is also willing to guide every customer. Opening : 9:00 am The last loading hour is 8:00 pm Closing : 9:00 pm I would recommend this place to my friends when they come here.
The machines here are so expensive - one load is $4 and they are not even reliable. I used two loads and paid $8 to wash them. Both loads have the same amount of clothes and the same amount of detergent. Once the cycle finished, one load had soap all over the clothes still while the other one was fine. The lady who runs this place blamed it on me saying that I used too much soap, even when both loads are identical. She refused to believe that the machine would be bad. The machines are not reliable and I was forced to pay another $4 for that load and now the total is $12 just to wash my clothes and I haven't paid to dry it yet. What a waste of money. Do not go here. There are a lot of bad reviews already, yet they never seem to change.
Based on the previous reviews I can make out that the lady operating this coin laundry is Vietnamese. She is extremely understanding and always gives you change(coins) and also helps you if you are not sure which machine to use for your laundry based on your cloths you have. The facility in itself is just like any other laundry facility. The laundry ranges from $2.5, $3.5 and $5.5 (for very big loads). Dryers are also very big and you can use them based on the quantity of your cloths plus each $0.25 you get 4 minutes so if you have less cloths you can spend money accordingly.
This place has taken a serious downturn over the summer. I was in there today and 15 machines are out of order including every single heavy duty dryer. There was also no laundry detergent available in any dispenser. Last week when I was there it looked like the place had flooded and no one had bothered to clean it! The floor was brown and there was garbage everywhere! There is no regular all day attendant anymore but unfortunately they get away with taking poor care of the business because people use it out of necessity…
The new Boss is not friendly, the former Vietnamese owner is excellent. He's no longer with the storefront. The new woman boss didn't wear mask, whilst required all customers to wear mask. The coin machine sometimes screw up ejecting less coins. Check your change always when using the coin machine. I used a dryer near the main entrance, when I took my blanket home, it stinks like people used the dryer to dry their shoes. Wasted $4.00 on this dirty dryer, 4 minutes per quarter coin.
I thought I arrived with enough time to do my laundry. The woman told me to be quick because I was pushing it - - a picture showed pre COVID-19 hours - - and then kicked me out, with wet laundry when all I needed was 15 more minutes to get it done. I would have appreciated being told I'm too late instead of trying to get what you can out of me and leaving me with wet laundry. It's very mean spirited for no practical reason And very dirty for being a laundry place.
Machines are not efficient so I always had to spend more money than I was planning to. When I complained that the machine wasn’t washing properly, the owner just said that I should use the one that is more expensive (and way bigger) that costs CAD 6.00 even though I showed her that I was just washing a few shirts. Unfortunately I don’t see many options in the area but if you can, avoid the place.
Have sufficient amount of washing machines and dryers. Price is reasonable. The place is always clean. Maybe it can make use of some renovation, such as flooring and ceiling to spures up the place to make it more inviting. Somewhat like a no-thrill laundrymat It's in Kensington Market so there are plenty of other options while your laundry is in wash.
The owner is extremely rude. Although the wash machine was broken, she blamed everything on me, didn’t fix the problem, didn’t pay money back, and said to me to pay more for another machine. The wash machine didn’t spin properly and my all clothes just got soaking wet. Had the worst experience here. Never come back.
Having been a regular at this local laundromat for eight years, I highly recommend trying their wash and fold service. It's a game changer compared to self-service. The staff is consistently friendly and the quality of service is always top-notch. A real asset to our community and the market.
What can I say it's laundry. At least it's in the market so there's lots to do in the area. The laundry facilities themselves are clean and well kept for it's age. Friendly staff help to make your experience a little bit easier. Affordable prices available as well as laundry services.
Was pretty standard but now i jave come home 2 times with ruined clothing. I time my white came out with a pink color as if i was it with a heap of red stuff and this time there are bleached spots over ALL OF MY COLORED CLOTHING when i obviously didnt use bleach. I will not be back
The machines are old and most of the times I find hair and weird stuff inside the washers. The place is narrow and gets over-crowded in weekends, and it is very very hot. BTW I asked the lady to turn on one fan at least -- she asked me to sit close to the door instead.
Friendly owners are practically always on-site. Machines are kept clean and in good working order. They keep the doors open so washers dry out and don't mildew. No frills but this has been my choice of laundromat for over ten years now.
Walked here from our hotel about 1 mile . Nice walk through Chinatown. Place is clean, price is ok . Not many choices for coin operated places around downtown Toronto. Needs more places to sit while you wait for your laundry.
Unfortunately changing my review since peak COVID people working here and people using the machines don't wear masks. No one seems to care. There are plenty of other laundromats you can go to that care about safety.
if you feel the need to be screamed at by an old relative, do your laundry here! she is incredibly rude and will never help out with a problem, only blame it on you and then take your money for the inconvenience :)
Didn't have great experience. Weren't friendly and they had construction going on while trying to do laundry. They tried to lock me in when I was finished so they could pour sidewalk. Bad preparation.
Expensive machines that are not maintained. Owner knew a machine was out of order and did not put up a sign or anything, just let people put money into the machine. No refunds.
Drying machines are falling out of disrepair. Twice as costly to dry clothes and owner refuses to do anything about it. Laundry machines are so so
The machines work pretty well. The prices are about the same as other laundromats. Always someone working there that you can get change from.
Clean, good price, always can find a washer or dryer to use. Last load is at 8:00pm to close for 9:00pm. The guy there is really nice too!
Worst laundromat ever. The owner is so rude she acts like you are doing your laundry there for free. She’ll be up your personal space.
Love to wash laundry here. Most washer's are huge 3.50$ Dryer's work great .25$ Quarter and loonie machine for change. Very clean
I did my laundry here for years when I used to live in the market! The staff are always friendly and the machines work will!
Owner is extremely rude, condescending and refuses to wear a mask, you are better off doing your laundry somewhere else
In & out laundromat in the upper part of Kensington market. Easy convenient no hassle service. My go to when I need too
The owner is so rude that we have to go to a laundromat that is much farther just to avoid any interactions with them.
First time using a coin laundry in the city. Better than the other one on the street. Friendly and helpful staff.
It's always nice and clean here. Machines work very well. Staff are friendly and always there to help.
Close to college street on augusta. Coin laundry run by vietnamese owner vrry clean washer dryer
Clean - functioning washers and dryers. Plus it's in the market so the time will fly by.
Very nice lady who works front of house most times. Machines are also very functional.
Nice and quiet place managed by respectful lady always ready to help and support.
Friendly staff, good machines, great location, change machine, detergent on site
Always friendly staff and good rates. Usually cost me $7.50 for a wash and dry
Great service and staff. Super friendly and helpful. Great experience always!
Nice place, not too expensive. Close to everything Kensington
the lady is a theft, she stole my bath room mat
Owner lady refuses to wear a mask inside.
Best place for fluff and fold in Toronto.
Clean, priced right, and opened on time
The owner is rude. Avoid at all costs.
Washer ate two of my dollars.
Hilariously sassy viet owner.
