CONSUMERS BEWARE!! This location is thee worst and a health hazard to the public, they sell rotten produce they actually hide rotten mixed in with fresh so you buy it, and they can still make their money off of it. They also sell rotten meats chicken and beef. They also slice the plastic from the cold cuts and cheese with the meat and cheese. I have also eaten plastic in my hero sandwiches from their deli. Also moldy baked goods. They take advantage of the fact they are one of the only like 3 grocery stores in Rockaway Beach and alot of patrons near this location use EBT.. Treat your community better!! Only go here if you have no other choice. Or at the risk of your health and the health of your family. And if you like throwing your money in the trash. I had to come back And add more because I tried to take money out of their ATM the ATM said it's owned by Key Food supermarket the atm fee was supposed to 1.75 thats what i agreed to, but they steal an additional 2$ from you. So watch out!

They tend to price gauche with charging you more than what the sales price if particular item is on sale please be mindful of this. Also they can go up on price daily even if you purchase something during the same day towards the evening it could be another price. There quality of meat is disgusting and lacks cleanliness and has tendency to be on break of soiling. Manager is disrespectful to customers concerns and disregards anything said to him. Just out to make money at any cost including cutting corners. Be care when buying bread there tends to be flies and gnats in breading cases where you get hero for sandwiches,buyers beware of potential dangerous pathogens from unsanitary conditions in deli department with them slicing meat and cheeses on same machine cross contamination will make you sick.

Clean and well stocked. Great deli staff, even though they are always short staffed. The produce green leaf veggies tend to be old/yellow and I've had to have price checks often when checking out. I don't trust the meat here, so I try not to buy it and always check the expiration dates on dairy, they don't take expired off the shelves in a timely manner. So, buyers just be aware when shopping anywhere! They are like most chain stores. *2020 update: This store has upgraded over the past few years. Still have an issue with expiry dates, but they have been great. pandemic aside, I had no problem getting toilet paper here. No long lines most of the time, its a neighborhood grocery store, so I go here when I need to restock the pantry and such.

Stopped in last night for dinner and a couple of cold coffees. While my wife and I were trying to choose our drinks from a refer end cap up by the registers a manager started actually yelling "REGISTER 6" at us. He just kept yelling it at us louder and louder for no reason. He may have assumed we were in line but even if he did I cannot understand how this person is employed at all. I understand that there was room in at register 6 but this behavior has taken my family and all our grocery needs down the road to an actual grocery store, with trained employees. Would not recommend this store to anyone and would give zero stars if the option was available.

I have lived at Beach 76 for 10 years and my experience today is the usual. I purchased a cake, which was on sale, got to the register and as usual it didn't ring under the sale price. The price checker comes over, as usual, go to verify, as usual, only to come back and say I read the posting wrong. So I played full priced as usual, walked back to the isle ripped off the tag took it to him and he say "Oh someone else told me the price" huh. He had excuses, but never initiated to refund me. I shook my head and left. This is a reminder to me to always do my shopping at STOP N SHOP, which is much closer to my home.

I love walking into this store. I first got to the produce isle which is fully stocked and always looking good! Produce staff are always on hand to answer questions or help you with your needs! If the product is not there they will order it for you!!! Go produce!!!. Next the deli; I went to purchase 1 item however when I saw the deli case which was outstanding I ordered more. All salads dishes were full and neat. The whole case was done up nicely. Everything looked very fresh!!! Good work never goes unnoticed that is why I did this review. I hope your shopping experience will be as pleasant as mine!

Absolutely disgusted with this place. There were WORMS in the spare ribs i bought. Unfortunately I didnt notice until they were fully cooked and dead worms were hanging out of it. Made me throw up immediately. I returned to get my money back and the manager acted as if this was a normal occurance. He said "I told him the meat was expired". what's even more scary is there was alot of meat packed up ready for sale. I can only imagine what else was contaminated. I would share a picture but I dont want to gross anyone out even more. Trust me it was unpleasant to see. Smh I will NEVER go back again.

I like the fact this location is always very clean, neat and organized. Now on the other hand what I don't like is that certain items which would be on sale a lot such as cereals are way to pricey. During these uncertain and difficult times we must all come together more than ever. We need food but they also need consumers in order to continue operating their business. One last thing some of the cashiers interact very well with customers and know what they're doing, others should definitely not be working there or any place that involves interaction with the public.

Tl;Dr cashiers are rude, they sell expired items, but have what you need. Majority of the cashiers are rude, bored, and can't be bothered. If you say 'Hello', they just stare at you. If you say 'Thank you', they don't even look at you. This happens if it's slow, busy, doesn't matter. There is a good variety of products throughout the store, and they usually have what you need during a quick stop. The shopping experience is good, but the customer-employee interaction leaves a lot of room for improvement.

While they may seem friendly there is nothing friendly about this place or managment watch when you purchase products here they change dates on already expired items just because it dont look like theres nothing wrong with it . Bathrooms always been working they just dont want us costumers to use it ive seen a deli clerk drop the meat and pick it right back up and put it back on fridge reason y i stop shopping there.

It's convienient because of the distance and variety of products. You will find almost anything when it comes to groceries. But i can tell management is horrible. A lot of times fresh spices and vegetables are not out yet by midday, i had found spoiled fruits and veggies on the shelves. And today at 6 pm (rush hour when it comes to grocery shopping) only 2 registers and the costumer service were open. Unacceptable.

This Key Food is the Best in the naberhood good prices,quality, and good service customers first all the time. I don't work there anymore got Fired for stilling that was my wrong and imma apology to all of keyfood for that. At the end of the day they treated me like Family and its still the best place to shop and save. PS KeyFood I'm a Supper now thenks for the opportunity.

This is a racist key food to everyone working in there is Spanish and they hire cashiers for looks. Young kids and cant do simple math. I go there for 1, maybe 2 things Reason being because they have no restroom, I used to go for big food shopping, but I stopped because 2x I had to use the restroom, they told me to walk to the boardwalk 3 block down I left and went home use the bathroom and then went to Stop and shop. A big place like that should have a restroom

This key food has counterfeit hundred dollar bills if you shop here or use lotto please be my friend be aware that they may potentially have giving you counterfeit money over the past couple of years money is very heavy and it’s not light like paper OK so please check your money and be very mindful. Recently moved from Brooklyn to farrock and i can honestly say this is the closest I've gotten that matches a food bazaar supermarket. I just love their huge produce section, their deals are reasonable, very clean, staff are very easy to locate. Their is an associate literally in ever aisle. Cashier we're very fast at doing their job. .

Tall guy at front entrance/exit doors has a very disgusting attitude & he is rude as hell! He almost made me come out of character but instead I reported him to the store manager. He was upset and started talking unruly because of a juice that dropped & spilled from my cart as I exited the store. I was mad as hell about it

Bad service.bad attitude. Managers never smile.no.education at all..expensive things and expired..the butchers in the back no polite.specially there's a tall lady in the back .she look dominican she is tall clear skin always with bad attitude.and none education at all.the need to change most of the personal over there.

I spent time, money and bypassed other stores going out of my way to come to Keyfood and they were just as bad as their competitor Stop & Shop. Oh how I wish Walmart would Unionize and be able to come into the community. The people must come together and unite and take a stand against these price gauging stores.

I really like this store because their bread supply is extremely good. I grabbed 2 packages of bread and they are the freshest I have had. I also purchased hazelnuts which were very nice and crunchy. I hope this store continues to carry fresh bread and hazelnuts because I love those two types of food very much.

Nice small neighborhood supermarket. Better quality and prices on fresh meats, deli and produce than nearby soulless Stop & Shop. Wide variety of international foods. The selection of beers is extensive. Store is always clean and staff is friendly. Overall a great shopping experience. Highly recommended!

This super market sucks. They price everything wrong and then when you go to the register they do not honor the price on the sign. I asked to speak to the manager and he refused. The manager is not friendly and they need to learn customer service. It is their error. I’m never spending another cent there.

The prices are ok but you can not find alot of things that you really want to buy in there unless they re-stock it.It takes awhile for them to restock items.Customer service is really not so good.Use to have delivery but not no more and also the key food savings card is useless for now.

This store is the best store i have gone shopping to. There prices are reasonable. The customer service is good. You can always find someone to help you when you need it the most. The Employees are always working hard to ensure each customer gets the entire help they need.

I like this supermarket because they always have great deals on meat and eggs. Also they offer products that you can't find at other markets. They also sell this spinach, feta cheese and quinoa salad that's to die for and this is the only place to buy it from.

For small Supermarket it has a nice selection of foods from fruits to vegetables to Frozen but if you're looking for Specialty Foods forget about it except for the Goya aisle which has a lot of nice Spanish foods but that's it limited in Organics

This is one of my favorite supermarkets in the area, parking is available, prices are great, service is good. But I always find expired items in the dairy area. So whoever is in charge of that isle should pay more attention to expiration date.

Love it! Always find what I need! I recently adopted a Vegan lifestyle and was pleasantly surprised to find many Vegan items in all the different sections of the store. Will definitely recommend this store and will continue shopping here!

It's good, if I wanna cook some sort of meat then I come to Keyfood, other than that I go to a different market if I'm looking for snacks, this KeyFood looks small too so I go to a different market if I'm going to buy a lot of stuff.

It has a great variety of plant based products. The produce section is organized, clean & full of fresh fruits & vegetables. However, the prices are very high. Be prepared to pay more than you would at other local grocery stores.

Shelf are always well stock. Only supermarket for 5 or 6 blocks in either direction so it's always a bit busy. They have a small produced section with a bit of organic items . If you need something in a pinch you'll find it there

At least twice a. Month every time I purchase meat especially chicken..it is spoiled not to mention "grace" condiment jars..and when I , tell them they are expired..They don't remove them ..They are still on the shelf today!

Narrow aisles make navigating your cart difficult. Guarantee you'll wait on a line at check out never more than a few cashiers when the store is busy. Restroom out of order sign has been displayed for the past 12 months.

Adequate.. the prices are pretty good the people there are moderately friendly. The service takes a while the staff have attitude problems. All in all not so bad but if you could find another place I would go there

This place is filthy, the parking lot is alway covered in trash and the produce goes bad immediately after you buy it. Govt programs seem like the only reason it’s still in business, super sad for the neighborhood.

Expensive, misleading prices. All 4/$5 drinks they charged me $1.79 each. When I asked why ? she said only one of them on sale. Also over charged me for a can soda but after I told them, they refunded me.

Watermelon sold was extremely green. Not fit for consumption. Bought large avocado...took 6 days to change color. Didn't get soft. When cut out of frustration it was speckled with black spots inside.

Pretty small and now for the summer is very crowded. There alot of spanish ingredients, which is good to know and even a small selection for south America ingredients. They have alot of fresh greens.

They had no bread to make sandwiches and when I finally did find some bread, the person making the sandwich did not put half the things she was supposed to put inside of it. I was very upset.

Staff is pleasant, helpful, and keep the lines moving at the register. This supermarket isn't too large so perfect for in and out grocery shopping and they also offer delivery.

Always only one person at the deli counter. Often can't find sale items. Corridors filled with boxed stock items. However cashiers are often very customer service friendly.

Best produce out of area supermarkets. Very cramped and the paving in the parking lot is not for those who have sports rims (potholes of 5+ inches deep at the entrances).

Fora local Supermarket of medium size, it was packed with product. Especially impressed with the spice and organic tea section.

Everything that I need, good service, managers always helpful, as well as the butchers. As a plus they have free home delivery
