Hello I'm Tamara the black girl at the register who dresses Nice n always greets customers with a smile n good morning/afternoon. I came into work 1-day Sandy told me due to the place being overstaffed he had to let go one person from the deli 1 from the floor and one person from the register being that I was new he let me go. Sandy and Angela were both in the office and we're both there and Sandy had told me that he has to lay me off I was a great worker I did nothing wrong they just don't have enough money to pay all the workers and that because of my outstanding performance at work he will give me a recommendation letter. so I collected my check and I left. After two weeks of calling the store texting his personal cell phone and no return calls when I made it back to New York I went to the store to ask why am I getting a run around for a recommendation letter that he'd promised he would give me In Front of cashier Angela that's the one with the thinning hair on top of her head. When I did come to the store to get the letter Angela was acting very funny, and Sandy was hiding down in the basement. He had me wait for about 30 to 35 minutes to come upstairs, as if I wasn't the worker that he just told did a great job did nothing wrong and he would gladly give a recommendation letter to. but when it was time to get the recommendation letter I never received the recommendation letter and when I came back, there were two new Spanish workers. While I was working there the ladies never liked to speak English, they was rude to the customers, they never smile and talked about everybody and each other like they were in high school. This place is very racist there's only one black girl working there and she is very rude that's the very big girl, she's very rude, and customers always came to me and told me about how rude shantiqua is. After getting the runaround and after Angela coming upstairs and telling Sandy (after me waiting 35 minutes) that I was putting on a show for the store I felt very disrespected, I did get out of character but I think it was well deserved. Th store will give you old fruit,old meat, stuff with holes in it and if you don't see it they will let you buy it that's how bad the customer service is in this store and again their racist. Please any customers that remember me please write a review . I also have video proof and pictures, and I'm planning on taking this to court. And the reason why I'm not getting the recommendation letter is because Sandy you can't explain how you laid me off if I'm a great worker.

The Worst experiences with my wife's service dog. We walked in, the guy at the door checked our badge. We started to shop and noticed another guy following us and pretending to be doing inventory. He confronted our 15th year daughter and got in her face , which both my wife and myself had enough and asked to speak to the manager in which he replied he is the manager but had to report to a woman in the front by the cashiers. When we was checking out, we asked again to speak to the manager in which the cashier replied that was the manager, and when we informed her that we felt very uncomfortable, she replied so and what. We left immediately after, without any groceries

This Keyfood store is very tight isles with stock on the floor so its really hard getting through. Also" many items on sale for the week are not just there weather its friday or next thursday. Mostly the frozen food items.. A much better Keyfood 3 times bigger in every way is only about 5-7 blocks away on westchester ave.. Tremont ave Keyfood is really good for just a quick fix meal for a few days.. Keyfood stores in general are great though this one needs a mng. Who will keep it stocked and sale items in for people to buy. I go 2x a month for a sale item and they are totally out even if the sale started friday at 8 a.m and Im there ar 8:05 A.M. This keyfood is actually disgusting, they hire random teenagers and careless adults who are unprofessional and disrespectful. This is my third time seeing expired food from this keyfood, i had moldy bread, moldy cheese as you can see in the photo and today i just got expired salmon. When i went into the store and told the manager he was extremely careless and unprofessional and acted like he didn’t care. This can actually give someone a disease and give them food poisoning, it could be someone’s kid or grandma grabbing something without looking at the date and making them extremely ill.

This store is very misleading & the workers are rude & selfish. The stores online & posted on their door clearly states that they open at 7am & close at 8pm. Several people, me included, were turned away at 7:45pm. One particular young mother asked if she could run in real quick and purchase baby formula, I myself needed just one item & we both were paying cash. We were told cashiers were done but one was still ringing up a customer that was left in the store

It is like your neighborhood grocery store but much bigger and more selections. Oh and by the way it is way cheaper. When they have their products on sale it save a lot of quarters in your pocket. Sometimes in neighborhood grocery store when they have Sales u stand the chance of getting somewhat expirered products and it is not the salers idea but the boss up there which u don't see. It never feels like you are getting a sale. If they were smart they would use the Key food card to have the sale deducted when we swipe our card. Train the cashiers to ask for the KF card when the last item is scanned. let the customer SEE the $$$ go down in price. It makes them feel good & will bring return business. They swipe the card right away now & the price stays the same.

I went today on Mar 9 2022 around 2:50pm a female at the entrance tells me I must check 2 bags I have from previous stores in a horrible manner. On my way out I went to her to pick up my bags and she tells me cashier gives them back to me again in a nasty way. People are RUDE don't have no respect for us the customers. I decided not to shop here. Don't waste your time here!!!

Been going to this market since the 1990's never a problem. Yesterday I purchased San Giorgio pastas, 5 for $5 AND… one of the boxes was re-sealed with Scotch Tape. #Disgusting! The Mgr said to bring it in an he will exchange it. (Double Check your items before you purchase them and leave the store.)

I am tired of store sale signs which are not really a store sale. IE. manufacture placed retail price on package IE cheese, being sold to consumer as a Store sale item. If item marked say $2.99 at manufacture a proper store sale means a mark down from said manufacture suggested price.

I've been in bigger and smaller markets...this Key Food is in the middle. Always clean, and you'll find almost everything you need. 4 stars for me....products can be excessive....but great sales keeps it at the top. Look for those sales in your neighborhood papers. …

Great store , shelves stocked. Plenty of check outs. Fresh fruit and veggies, nice deli department. This store has a nice variety of food and dairy items to choose from. Fresh poultry and meet as well. Aisles wide and well marked. All in all a great super market

Tight aisles. Tough checking out, but otherwise a pretty decent selection for a small supermarket. The deli is pretty good, notwithstanding the attitude of the bleached blonde who works there. The other guys st the deli are great though.

I just came out . For all these years they had good customer service.New lady cashire with attitude not even well take care of me . She wants to get ridof me before I finish with my stuff for the next customer .

Best meats for a supermarket. Convenient grocery shopping at Westchester Square in the Bronx. Small place, but well assorted. Would love to see more Eastern European products if possible. Thank you.

Tiresome shopping. Too small for all the customers,hand truck delivery,carts and now small hand carts on wheels, strollers. Dairy case and shelves carelessly stocked. Will not buy meats.

They don't have a lot of Caribbean cooking ingredients , they have basics as in Goya and Maggi products. i will like to see more variety of spices and exotic ingredients.

This store is the best in this neighborhood. Has good selection. Prices are good. Store hours are convenient. One thing I don't like here is that the cashiers are slow.

Prices too high, aisles are very narrow to begin with and then they place merchandise displays in aisles, making for a very frustrating experience trying to navigate.

Fair prices, clean, good selection of produce and baked goods. Not particularly fast and a bit cramped (although not more than a typical NYC neighborhood grocery).

I go there because they have a great deli & nice meats. Otherwise they are over priced. These days there are lots of other places to do your groceries.

My first visit to this Key Food location, and I was fully satisfied with their Fresh Products and meats produce, staff is also very friendly.

Nice and clean. You can find things easily. Prices are also great. And I love the deli dept. I always get a hero when I'm in the area.

Over priced, deli meats go bad quickly, smells in there,fruits are not fresh,go bad and over ripe because they put in the sun outside.
