We bought our car a month ago with Frank, a very nice guy. Frank was polite, accessible and we had a smooth sales process taken care by him. However, as we are not very car experts, as soon as we went to pick up our new car, Frank told us that it needed an oil change. So we checked and the car had just turned 90k and was due a service. All good, because we never asked about when next service was due until after sale was completed (although I would have preferred that this was brought to our attention before and taken care of - even if we had to pay for the service). Anyways, we got the car serviced and paid 500 for it. The mechanic said the car also needed new suspension bushes (and as it was split in half (another 600 on top of 500). So I called Frank who suggested we took the car to Dr Concepts (the mechanic who had just checked our car before we bought it). So we book an appointment and my husband just takes the car to this referred mechanic (Dr Concepts) for a check. My husband was simply physically assaulted in this car shop by the mechanic and he almost called the cops as the guy was almost beating him up. The guy was rude and impatient, and quickly lost control for no reason. So we were horrified and nervous about the experience, and we went to Knox Car n commercials to simply report and share what happened (maybe they want to review their mechanic arrangements?) Anyway, Frank wasn’t there, but his partner couldnt care less and said this was our problem. Even though I know this terrible experience at the mechanic has nothing to do with Knox Commercials, we did not expect being dismissed like that after feeling so vulnerable. So, putting this on top of the non disclosure of the car service due, I think I wouldn’t buy a car from there again. If I did, I would pay 300 for a private mechanic online service to check the car before buying. With all the respect for small businesses, but there is got to be some training and acknowledgement about customer service before quickly dismissing them.

Purchased an 2008 X5 from Frank at the dealership in Nov 2019. Right from the day I collected the car I have had issues with it. I initially thought it was a minor issue with the car when it first started playing up, given it's age. Little did I know this car would end up costing me $7500 just fixing all of these issues. I had purchased this car for the sole purpose of driving my parents around as my current car was too small, clearly that never happened. This car has caused me more grief than I could ever imagine. Long list of issues that I had to ended up fixing at my cost :- 1. Rear Air Suspension 2. Radiator 3. Cheap battery installed that failed within 3 weeks of owning the car 4. Blocked sunroof drains 5. Video module completely submerged in water 6. Breather Oil Separater (Excessive smoking) 7. Water Pump 8. Alternator 9. After market tow bar installed poorly (cabling an absolute mess causing battery to drain) 10. Compressor for rear air suspension 11. Rocker cover gaskets 12. Solenoid o-ring seals 12. Transmission fault (still not been able to diagnose fault even after replacing the transmission fluid and filter) The service on the car alone cost me $700 alone (filthy air/cabin filter, covered in dirt). The extended warranty has so many clauses that they make it hard to claim any cost for repairs, not worth it in my opinion, even if you got it for FREE like I did. Tried getting in touch with the dealership to look into the matter after major issues started to unfold. No response to date to my emails. Already lost money on this car even after fixing these issues so can't even sell it. For the amount of money spent on repairs and the purchase price of the car, I could have bought a late model X5 with less kms. I would NOT recommend wasting your hard earned money purchasing anything from this dealership.

Knox Cars and Commercials… what a brilliant local independent car yard!!! Frank and Sean are honest as the day is long..neither are pushy salesmen and give you the time of day to look, push and poke all the buttons on any car that you maybe interested in. The day I saw my car and fell in love with it, it was pouring with rain but Frank stood out in the rain (without an umbrella) and answered any dumb blonde questions I fired at him and as “single” woman buying a car without male input there was a few and I really appreciated his honesty and integrity, all I kept saying was “I love it but I can’t afford it”. I walked away. Yes I checked out other cars and yards but none had that”I really like that car. I have to have it” I returned to Knox Cars and Commercials a week later just to have another look and dream but Frank said let’s do a quote as a trade In so I agreed. Sean looked and quoted on my trade in and I was surprised and then I was offered a deal that I couldn’t say no to!!! So if you see a blonde female driving around the Knox area in a white car..,good chance it will be me with a smile from ear to ear!!! Do I recommend these guys 100% Would I return 100% but that won’t be for a number years!!’ I have no apologies for the length of this review as every word and thought is as honest as the business itself. Thank You Frank and Sean…I owe you guys a coffee!!!

I have had a privilege experience, beyond my expectations and they are my favourite experiences to tell. I have just purchased my Subaru XV Black, limited edition in perfect nick and it was an experience i am telling all about. Frank from Knox Cars and Commercials went more that out of his way to 1, make me feel special that i was getting a beautiful car that i will certainly love and 2, that i didn't have to worry about anything else except enjoying driving my car. Frank delivered his promises and also delivered my beautiful car to my doorstep. WOW!!!!! what an experience! After looking for months in Sydney for a diesel manual car and even driving to the Gold Coast to see what other dealers and private sellers had to offer me , the cars were all buffed up rubbish , thank god for KNOX CARS!!! Frank is not your usual used car salesman, nor does he have the rubbish cars other dealers seem to have and all the B.S promises they make . I bought a site unseen VW Tiguan tdi manual off Frank , he sent my a video of the car and he seemed like a guy i could trust , no pressure tactics just a good honest sounding guy. Recently purchased an FJ cruiser from Frank and his team at Knox Cars and Commercials. Throughout the entire process from enquiry to driving away in the vehicle - Frank was honest, friendly & courteous. I had enquired about the car at 10pm on Saturday night. Despite Sunday being his day off, he called me back Sunday morning and opened up the yard specially so I could inspect it pre him opening other enquiries. Recently purchased a 2013 Holden commodore wagon from this car dealership and couldn't be happier.
