I am unhappy with the quality for our recent move. We used Kora Moving once before and the crew was so diligent. -Since we don’t have shoes on inside the house, the last crew covered floors with cardboard and blanket so that they didn’t make the floor dirty. This time I asked them to put on shoe cover, they said they didn’t want to since it could take more time. Also unlike the last crew, they didn’t cover the floor as much as the last crew did and they stepped on to the floor with their shoes on. -And the moving took longer than the last move though there were a few new items this time. It took two hours more than last time though the last one was moving from an apartment on 3rd floor to a house and this time it was a move from a single level home to another one. -After loading everything, they took a break. They said 15 minutes, but it was much longer. Whey they were done, they forgot to exclude their break and were going to charge me for their break until I pointed it out. What’s worse the crew tried to exclude just 15 minutes though they spent definitely longer than 30 minutes. -Also their skills to disassemble and assemble furniture were not great which was different from the last crew. With this experience, I am not sure if I choose them for our next move. If I could get the last crew , probably.

I have used many moving companies over the years and it is always a dreaded chore that usually ends up in a nightmare. I recently moved back from Virginia to San Francisco and hired Kora Moving to unload my 26" box truck (I drove it myself to avoid dealing with unethical long haul moving companies). I was skeptical when I spoke with Carlos, but he assured me his crew would take care of unloading my truck. I cannot say how shocked I was at his crew's work (Raul and 3 others - sorry, didn't write down all the names). They showed up on time, unloaded my truck, and had to take a baby grand piano and numerous other large items up a flight of stairs since they were too big for the small elevator at my apartment building. They assembled my piano, two beds and neatly arranged the boxes inside the apartment for me. They picked up the packing materials and hauled them off. They exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Kora Moving for anyone in the SF Bay area who needs moving services. Great job!

Wow, what a fantastic experience! From the moment I called, the owner expressed a can do attitude that's the hallmark of a true small business owner. So much more responsive and with very fair and transparent pricing, better than the other 3 local movers I contacted. Even more appreciated is that I only gave a 2 days notice before the move and they were still able to accomodate me. On moving day the owner and 2 helpers showed up exactly when they stated and got started right away. They efficiently packed my stuff with care into their truck and had everything loaded in about 30 mins. My new place is on the 7th floor and the guys were able to get everything moved in about 2 1/2 hours including the load in! I don't know how anyone could have done a better job, with greater care, or a more genuine attitude, at a fairer price. In short, Kora movers rocks and you'd be crazy to choose anyone else if given a choice. Thanks so much and I will recommend you to all my friends!

Carlos and his team were terrific. They had clear, consistent communication via text and telephone as well as email from the beginning. They showed up exactly on time and got right to work, moving us out of our one-bedroom apartment on the third floor of the building with no elevator. The furniture was wrapped in blankets and plastic for the move, our sundry items that we couldn't figure out how to pack were placed carefully in large boxes they lent us at no additional charge. We packed our own items and expected some things to break; that's the nature of self-packing in my experience. But we didn't have any casualties at all. They even moved our many potted plants with care and ease, and they're all thriving in their new home. All of the employees hustled to move us as quickly and safely as possible. They were friendly, respectful, clean, and efficient. 100% I would hire Carlos and his team to move us again - you should hire them, too.

I was extremely impressed with the guys from Kora. Top notch! We have hired multiple movers over the years so I have a good idea of how this works. Kora were the only crew that showed up early & they got straight to work. This wasn't a big move, but it wasn't easy. Three flights of stairs through a narrow staircase and across the bay with some heavy stuff. We had a crew of three headed by Joel and they were careful, efficient and pleasant as could be. Moving is stressful and it went smoother than I could ever have imagined. Hopefully I won't be moving again soon, but if I do Kora will be the first place I call. If they aren't available I'll reschedule my move in day to when they are, they are that good!

Great company Got an honest quote and they actually even came in a little under what was quoted which was a nice bonus. The guys were very kind and respectful. Joel was the lead that day and he took went the extra mile to make sure that I didn’t need him to move any heavy stuff to a new location before he left. I had originally asked for the master bedroom bed to be up against a certain wall not realizing that it would block me from opening the closet fully. Joel asked to show it to me and kindly moved the bed to the other wall before leaving. Saved me a huge hassle and he do not have to do that. The other two guys were also very polite and patient with my 2 year old daughter being around.

Carlos moved our travel nurse daughter 3 times in San Francisco. On all three occasions, he provided excellent, responsive and highly professional service. But today’s move went above and beyond! We had a horrible experience with another moving company who brought our daughter’s personal effects from Orlando, Florida to San Francisco. Carlos met the driver at his warehouse at 8:30 PM on a Sunday evening to make sure the inventory was correct. He then moved her into her apartment a few days later again, with the upmost professionalism, kindness, patience, thoughtfulness, and care. Carlos at Kora Moving is a gem. Don’t consider going anywhere else. You found your movers here!

I had a team of 4 guys and to say they were great, wouldn't be justice to how they did. I cannot imagine having to do this everyday. All of the guys were so smart, and knew exactly what to do. They asked the right amount of questions and did everything I had asked. Definitely went above and beyond. I do hope theses employees are well taken care of. They work really hard. For next time, I would probably hire them to pack for me as well. Also affordable compared to other companies. It only took 6 hours total and that includes the 30 min drive to the new house. I used Kora Moving for loading a UHaul from my second story apartment. Carlos was very responsive when I first looked into booking the service and followed up the day before the move to make sure all of my questions were answered. The movers called the morning of to let me know they were about 20 minutes away. The UHaul I originally ordered wasn’t available so I instead had a 9’ cargo van. I was sure not everything would fit in the van but somehow they managed to fit it all! I was amazed at the quality of their work and how quickly they got it done. They wore masks the whole time to ensure everyone felt safe. I would highly recommend Kora for your next move!

Amazing! Those guys are machines. I have inquired Kora moving 2 times now and I am so impressed how efficient and professional this company is. I had to move a 2 bedrooms apartment and there was a lot of stuff to move. I also have huge plants and they carried them with care without breaking any branches. I am so happy with their efforts. They assembled all my furniture back, they even helped me organizing the apartment and suggested where some stuffs should be going. They are pros! The move was almost 7 hours long and they did not waste any time. They were working so hard. I highly recommend Kora for your move. Don't look further. 5 stars all along!

Can't say enough good things about Kora Moving. They're professional, very attentive, and thorough. They were done faster than they estimated and worked extremely hard for a full 6 hours. I ended up spending less than I even anticipated. They are very careful with their work. They pointed out any small scratches to the furniture before moving and were always very transparent. Kora movers are awesome! I prefer to support smaller locally owned companies and they were great. Very responsive, timely, organized, professional and polite! They were very careful about protecting loose items, put my bed back together, they didn’t tack on any extra stair fees, and they were willing to drop something off at my work(1 block away from the unloading site), overall a great value, and experience! I hired Kora Moving to move a 400 lb. cast iron tub from the basement to the second floor of my remodel project. Carlos sent out his team of three able bodied guys and they showed up on time and ready to go. They wrapped the tub with moving blankets and tied straps around it for hand holds, then they very calmly and deliberately moved it up the two flights of stairs and into the bathroom. No damage was done and the whole thing took less than an hour. I would not hesitate to call them again to do this type of move on one of my projects.

I was referred to Kora by a friend who had used them three times before. Their quote came in a lot lower than a competitor’s and Kora was very responsive, so I went with them. Having just unpacked in the East Bay, I am beyond pleased with how everything went. The crew from Kora was very nice, efficient, nothing broke or was misplaced, and the final cost came pretty close to the quote. Only difference was in packing materials as they did a full pack. Can’t speak more highly of a moving company, and I’ve moved dozens of times.

Kora was great! They were very responsive ahead of our moving day, upon request changed from two to three movers without issue, and were right on time arriving. The team worked quickly and took a lot of care to ensure all our furniture was protected. They were super hard working. The moving time did take longer than their office estimated, but that was partially on account of a small elevator in our building as well as traffic between locations. Overall we were very happy with Kora and would definitely work with them again.

Amazing service. Recommended to my close friends. I got a few quotes and felt like they were fairly priced. Chose the same day option for a cross town pack and move with four guys. I bought most of the boxes and some packaging supplies ahead of time but they brought the rest. These guys packed up a full two bedroom apartment and moved across town in San Francisco in one day and not one dish was broken. Each individually wrapped. Very nice and respectful guys. I couldn’t believe how efficient and fast it was. Remarkable!

Kora Moving was one of the best, efficient moving companies I have worked with. I have facilitated several office moves and by far they were the best. They were responsive to my initial inquiries and requests. They arrived early on the day of the move, were efficient in packing up the office we were leaving and also managed to make everything fit into the storage unit when I did not think it was possible. Did a good job of getting boxes to the right rooms in the new place. Moved from a 2bd/1bth apartment to a larger apartment, and we did 90% of packing beforehand.

Kora moving is the best. We first found them in SF because we couldn't bring our couch into our new apartment, they were able to hoist it up through the roof within 30 mins. They are incredibly careful and kind people. We have since used them to move out of our apartment and they also moved us to LA. They are the best movers we have used and worth every penny. They are simply great people doing great work.

We used Kora for moving a week ago. They helped package our stuff & safely wrap our furniture. Their truck was more than spaciocious for all our belongings. They securely stored everything within the truck and made sure nothing was damaged during the drive to the new place. They then helped bring everything into the new place with the same level of professionalism. Great value for money in my opinion

The most professional people I have came across in business and personally in my life. They packed 35 years of living in one place and moved us and unpacked everything. I called around for quotes and Kora was easily $200 less than the next closest quote. These folks are incredible! They got to my place a few minutes early and went right to work. They packed my stuff better than I could and everything came out on the other side secure and safe. The Kora Moving team was awesome. They handled my things with care AND they were quick, efficient, and flexible. I had to complete my move from San Francisco to Palm Springs in 3 days near Christmas and they did it even stopping at my storage unit to drop off some things before finishing the task at my new condo. Kora moving took very good care of our belongings, wrapping many of the larger items in plastic wrap and never dropping or dragging our belongings. 500+ mile move in 2 days. Every other company I contacted gave me a 5-7 day window and told me there's no way someone was gonna do it the next day. Carlos and his team were awesome. Punctual and communicative. Prices were very fair and everything was explained thoroughly. If you need a mover, there is absolutely NO reason not to use this company.

The prices were competitive especially considering the quality of the experience: the movers were on time, fast, efficient, professional, etc. I would 100% book them again and highly recommend them!

Reliable company but movers were late, worked very slowly, and I was overcharged significantly from my original quote. The move should have taken about 1-1.5hrs, but the movers took 2.5 hours. Luckily, they were very careful with items and wrapped furniture well. Expect to pay significantly more than your quote.
