I was really excited to use this company from all the great reviews. I have never used a moving company before so I tried to keep an open mind. 2 guys were hired at $160/hr to move a 1 bedroom apartment about 30 miles away. I drove my own car to my new place and it took 30 minutes but it took the truck 1 hour and they charge double for travel time. For the moving labor alone it took 7.5 hours (loading and unloading) total charged and even the guys said they took a long time so they saved me half an hour. Watching them move made me anxious with the timing because I reserved the loading dock and elevator for the movers but needed to reschedule it last minute as I underestimated how much time it would take for them to load the truck. I even loaded my own personal vehicle to the brim just to help save some time. Looking back maybe I should have hired 3 guys but I’m just one person with two cats. Unless the 3rd guy saved me 3-4 hours, I don’t think it would have been beneficial cost wise. I did my best to pack up everything. If I knew it would take so long I probably would have unassembled the furniture myself and reassembled it alone. My table and bed frame were both assembled incorrectly as the guys were rushing to get things done after 7pm when they stopped the clock for taking so long. I spent the next day taking the pieces apart and fixing it myself. Needless to say I had high hopes and I can’t imagine what moving an entire house will cost me.

We just finished a move from the East Bay Area to Orange County. We went with Route 66 because of the professional and straight forward communication from the start. The pricing is by far the best of all the quotes we received. Flat fee move once I sent the list of what we had to move. We had some bad experience with other moving companies in the past so we were a little guarded. Igor the foreman for our move showed up on time and very friendly and professional. The load up of our home we sold was done very quickly. The next day we had Igor driving our belongings strait to us in Orange County. We really liked that it was our foreman from the start delivering our stuff. A second crew arrived to unload. These guys were amazing! They worked really hard, very friendly, cared about our stuff and our family. We ordered lunch for the crew and our kids. The lunch break was nice to get to know them. It was actually bittersweet when the unload was over.. because they were such a pleasure to have around and get to know. Do not select any other moving company.. go with Route 66 Moving Pros and try to request Igor as your foreman. Thank you Route 66 for making our move less stressful and meeting cool new people.

February 12, 2022, moving from Hayward to Fresno working with Route 66 Moving was a good experience overall. The process from start to end was well documented, informative, and handled in a timely and professional manner. Sean, the account manager was very helpful with setting up the move and explaining the logistics and prices. The movers, Georgii and his partner was awesome to work with. They called ahead on moving day to give an estimated time of arrival and even showed up a bit ahead of schedule. I thought I had good packing and spacial awareness skills until I saw them do their magic. Georgii and his partner was professional, very efficient, handled items with care, confirmed placement of items as needed, and was very friendly and always displayed a pleasant attitude (despite the physical/mental stress of a move). I would recommended Route 66 Moving services and would use them again without hesitation.

This review is overdue. I used Route 66 to relocate from San Francisco to LA. I’ve done many moves in my life and have had some good and some bad experiences. I.E. it’s positive in the initial interaction then the movers are horrible. In my experience with Route 66 it was brilliant from start to finish. Sean Griffith was the start of the process and he was one the most responsive and thorough people in any industry. Due to my work schedule I often emailed him in the evenings and he would respond within the hour. I was skeptical that this seems to good to be true but the movers were equally fantastic. The person that led the move to LA was “Ron” and he was a pro. The entire delivery staff were incredible and make the move easy. Massive shout outs to Sean and Ron - They both deserve a raise. Comment to the owner: take care of these folks and please use a company domain email rather than Gmail :-)

These were the worst movers I have ever worked with, and I have moved 7 times since 2011. Do yourself a favor and book somebody else. Sean was very easy to work with in setting up the quote, and the price is reasonable. However, they do not offer full value protection, and the movers were very careless. We paid for full packing and they did not protect our belongings adequately. Multiple items were damaged and they completely destroyed our TV. They broke our bed frame because they did not want to take it apart. If it were only that it wouldn't have been a big deal. However it became pretty clear that these movers did not treat our belongings with proper care. Several items were in the truck with little to no protection. Sean offered $200 for the bed frame but the rest was covered by their standard $0.60 per lb, so in the end we received $400 for over 3k worth of damage. Avoid avoid avoid.

This is the 3rd time I am using Route 66 Moving and my experience has been wonderful. We first used this company when my sister moved from San Diego to LA. Having used other companies in the past, my family loved how efficient and honest everyone we worked with was. I moved from Orange County to LA and again the move was professional and very time efficient. This time I'm moving to the Bay Area from LA and the service is great. We used their packing service to pack the kitchen and some of the heavier items and it saved a lot of time and avoided stress. They provide a flat rate each time even for a long distance move so you feel you are getting honest efficient work. The move was done with a lot of care and honesty. The truck will arrive in 1 day and I look forward to an easier process moving in thanks to Route 66. Andrii is great to work with!

Looking for a safe and great service moving company!! Route 66 is Definitely the smoothest moving experience I’ve ever had, thinking about moving is always been a nightmare. I have used this company is the past two times I've ever needed help moving out and so far has been the easiest to schedule and work with the movers were efficient and professional had no issues with my advice in regards of how to care for my furniture!! Super great customer service since the moment you speak with someone on the phone to the moment all boxes arrive to their destination. I used Route 66 a couple weeks ago to move within San Francisco. Andrew and Gleb were amazingly fast workers! They were scheduled to arrive between 8:30 and 9 am and arrived at 8:40, perfect. By 10 am they were FINISHED and leaving my new apartment! Admittedly I don't have a ton of stuff or furniture to be assembled, but I was still really impressed. I was most concerned about how they were going to handle a 9' tall indoor tree that I'm very attached to, but one of these guys picked it up, pot and all, and carried it like a baby up 3 flights of stairs. (For anyone wondering, I wrapped the tree in Saran wrap to keep the leaves from getting damaged.) I would recommend these guys for moves within the city for sure.

Properly licensed (I checked with the DCA) and professional movers. Sean was very helpful explaining all the pricing over the phone and planning the move. On moving day the movers arrived on time and even called ahead to let us know that they were on the way. They wrapped all my furniture very well and nothing was damaged. I feel that the moving manager explained the moving contract very clearly and gave all the paperwork/information that the State requires. The movers also set up my furniture in my new apartment so I didn't have to try to push heavy furniture around after they left. I did have an issue with one of my large pieces of furniture but the company worked with me to reach a satisfactory outcome.

I had no idea that moving could be so smooth and stress free. All my life I have been hiring wrong people to move and stress out the whole process. Not owning a house has many downsides and moving from one to other is very stressful and worrying. This time I took a suggestion from my co worker and hired Route 66. I couldn’t rely on them until they showed up at my doorstep, from the first minute till the last, they were very professional, energetic and fast. They didn’t put a single scratch on my furniture and they finished it quicker then estimated. Saved the day. I will call them again and again till I own a house ;) Highly recommended!!!

Let me tell you, I would absolutely recommend going with Route 66 Moving and Storage! They are based out of San Francisco, San Diego, and as of very recently, Los Angeles. They informed me that I was the FIRST customer of their Los Angeles branch! I was doing a move from one storage to another; household stuff, childhood memory boxes, my first bike, and the like. The movers were very kind, and able to take my suggestions for how I wanted the boxes to be stacked. They worked fast, and got the job done well. We just had a major move from Mill Valley California to Napa. A 3,000 sq ft home on a down-slope in the foothills of Mt Tamalpais, not an easy task. However, Eugene, Dima, Dennis and Anton made it look easy. The Fab 4 ( my words) are great guys!! We felt confident the entire time. Their professionalism, strength and great attitude with good humor made our move completely stress free! One of the best companies I've used to date. They showed up at the beginning of their window (rare!) and I didn't have to supervise much. They knew how to professional pack nice clothing and paid careful attention to wrapping my furniture. I liked that everything (boxes, tape) was build into the cost. One of my vintage chairs was dropped during the move (it happens) and they handled it with grace, owning up to the mistake and reimbursing me fairly for the damages within a week. This is not a budget company, but if you prefer quality and efficiency, they're super professional. Highly recommended!

Movers who are on time? YUP! This team is were professional, courteous and worked at a consistent and steady pace. There was no damage to my furniture or walls. I was initially concerned about working with a customer rep service out-of-state, but this movers were great. I've never highly recommended movers before. This company and team were tops. For the extra dollars I spent, the peace of mind was worth it. My daughter moved one month later and used a less expensive mover. They cancelled on her and two guys in a truck showed up four hours later. It was horrible. Route 66 - highly recommended.

While I did not personally use Route 66 for moving, this review is for their quote process and their professionalism. I contacted Route 66 for a quote from SF to LA, and found Sean to be extremely quick, responsible, and professional. He was very transparent about cost, labor, and how the company provides exceptional service. If I wasn't on such a tight budget (or if my company were covering relocation), I would've 100% chosen them. I hope to keep them in mind for the future, but would recommend considering them based on my positive experience with Sean!

Route 66 provided fast service at a competitive rate for our move across California from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Sergii and Alex were great movers, super friendly, careful with all our stuff, and always polite - and the whole process was extremely fast and efficient. They were very puncial and they called me half an hour before arrival for pick up and drop off. Even managed to back the moving van into a narrow back alley so that they could use the best entrance for delivery. Impressed by the careful driving skills!

Value Route 66 Moving Company is awesome! The movers from Route 66 make moving easy and very efficient. Their pricing for mocing is also reasonable. I was moving from the Bay Area down to Los Angeles and needed to be moved in within a week. Moving wasn't as stressful as with other moving companies I have used before. I did not have to worry about items being lost or stolen. They came on time to pick up and move my furniture to my new house in a timely manner. If I have to move again I will be using Route 66 from now on!

We hired Route 66 for our move from LA to San Francisco, and they did an amazing job! They kept us updated on the morning of moving out and arrived tight on time. Expert care of our valuables, and wrapped everything great! The next morning they arrived again right in time, waited patiently while the City came to tow a few cars out of the way (guess those drivers couldn't read NO PARKING) and unloaded everything quickly! They waited around to move everything where we wanted, and we're extremely helpful! 5+ plus stars!

I kept calling around to several places bc I didn't feel comfortable just hiring anyone especially with luxury items. My friend referred me to them bc they had helped her. I went with this company because they were highly recommended by Google. My friend needed to downsize his apartment so we needed to move some things to a storage unit. Availability was not a hassle as i was able to get him scheduled to be seen. They came out as promised and got right to work. They knew exactly how and what we needed done. I love to work with professionals. When you have a hard time to move from one house to another - you need to find people who you can trust your time and stuff. The guys are very organized, have their own company T-shirts so it was easy to recognize who to trust lol. They have all the materials so you don’t have to think of it( blankets, boxes, tools to move heavy items). I am more than happy with Route 66 company. I rarely write reviews but Route 66 great service made me write one. They did not ask more that the quote. They were on-time. On the loading day they finished exactly in 2 hours and on the delivering day they finished up in 1 hr and half. No damage to our belongings. Very great customer service. I'm moving from la to San Jose and I required full service packing and loading the truck three movers came andrii, Victor and vadim they did an excellent job packing it made my move less stressful I'm so happy I called this company they wrapped my furniture piece by piece with layers of blankets and plastic wrap for extra protection. I highly recommend this moving company all my friends used them and were very satisfied with there moves.

This review is completely based on my experience requesting a quote and not their ability to move. I called and the person on the other end quickly ran through their quote and when I said I had received a much lower quote through 2 other places he was very short with me and offered no additional discussion. He said "You're going to move a 2 beedroom with 2 people, good luck with that" and hung up. Lovely customer service.

Moved from Southern California to northern cal and the lovers were great. They were on time In both places and super friendly. They were also strong. I thought my move was a smaller one so I orinionally had two movers in so cal but they sent three to unload in no cal. They didn't charge extra. We had them load on a Monday and they unloaded on a Tuesday. Well worth it. We will definitely use again!!!!

My move occurred in early June 2020, and I had a wonderful experience with Route 66. Moving during the quarantine was quite stressful, while Route 66ers were open and ready to help me in hard times. Arrived on time. I had a washer on my second floor, and fortunately they could move it down without any scratches, these guys care for your staff. Super impressed and happy with their service.

After living for few years: I accumulate some stuff, some furniture was made locally and had higher value, and my neighbor recommended Route 66 moving company. They help me to pack all in very efficient and caring way( I didn’t get a single scratch!) and move it down to San Diego in less then 24 hours! The two men crew worked hard and made sure that all our items were secured and protected on the truck. There was no damage to any of our stuff, so thank you for that! Once the crew got to our home, they placed the items exactly where it was supposed to go, which definitely made our day much easier. I cannot express how smooth was this company to work with and how seamless our move went.

Worked with Sean over at Route 66, he was great! I was under a time crunch and they got me from quote to moved in less than a week. Movers were efficient, and careful. They worked in a pair and loaded up my house in less time than expected. I have moved 7 times. This was the BEST experience I have had. Route 66 was amazing end to end. Not much to say other than I would use them again in a heartbeat. First off, what a GREAT name! I needed movers quick after my original movers bailed last minute, I had originally debated between this company and the other but my friend highly recommended the other. I was able to call on a weekend and get movers with little notice. They were very friendly with great customer service and they did a great job.

I had a last minute move disaster and Movers Plus was there to make things all better. We hired a different moving company and they were a train wreck. Fired them on the stop! However, movers Plus was professional, prompt, and perfect! Great crew and worked theirs butts off. Absolutely have nothing but amazing things to say about this company.

You are not going to find better prices or more honest people to handle your belongings. I have an elderly uncle who needed to move and I wasnt going to rent a uhaul and harrass my friends and family to help since parking here is insane! So save yourself the trouble of googling trucks and dealing with parking meters, call route 66!

Route 66 was awesome from start to finish. Johnny is fast and thoughtful. The entire team is super friendly and hard working. They were very transparent throughout all the process, and I definitely felt all my stuff was in good hands.

This was by far the easiest and most affordable moving experience I’ve had. They gave me a great deal, movers were courteous and professional, and they were done exactly when they estimated they would be. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Moving is a pain for everyone but Route 66 movers made it super easy. We did a long distance move and on both ends , the service was exceptional! They actually treated our stuff WAY better then we would have , if moving it ourselves.

I was not happy by their service and billing method. Waste of money. They charge minimum 3 hours even if the job is done within 1 and half hour. Plus $60 for the truck even for 0.7 miles moving distance.

Very professional and great for long distances. The workers came quickly, a day after I called, which is great considering that I needed to move quickly. Nothing was ruined also which is amazing!

Seamless experience. They handled everything from start to finish and relieved a lot of the stress from moving. Hope I don't have to move again anytime soon, but if I do I'll be calling Route 66.
