Ok there are two locations in Indy that I have been to many many times and my experiences with each one has not been very good for various reasons but one is Twin Aire and the other is Haughville..... Twin Aire needs repairs to the parking lot because the cars are way to close and the arrows pointing up and down the lanes are faded and worn, everybody just parks wherever they want and uses whatever lane they choose, they are always out of something, the employees are rude and very unhelpful and some have attitudes, as big as the parking lot is there why don't they have a fuel center? or the Kroger name on the front of the building ? And why does the back look like war torn Iraq with trash everywhere? It needs major upgrades, and I wasn't aware that employees were allowed to date or have adult relations with each other!! And now Haughville, I have a more intimate knowledge of this location, it's old and ran down and as much as y'all want to look at it as a small neighborhood market it's still KROGER and they should care about what the citizens think about it, well it needs repairs on the inside as well as the outside, new flooring, new paint, upgraded registers and other equipment that is outdated, expand it making it big enough to have quality food not a whole store full of junk foods, the outside loitering and soliciting should not happen especially with a police station right next door, it also could use a fuel center and the parking lot could use some tlc but the biggest issues are on the inside, the employees all the way up to the supervisors and managers are load and rude and many get away with things others do not, but what I'm wondering is what the Kroger policy is for employees dating or etc after they leave work? But I'd also like to know about supervisors, managers, and other higher ranking employees using their positions to date or have relations with lower level employees? I really wonder what the consequences would be of that kind of thing taking place?
I have been a loyal customer at this Kroger location for the last 20 years. However, recently I feel that the store has gone down hill quickly. The aisle ways constantly smell like very potent weed. There is always long lines at the checkout because there's only one or maybe two cashiers max in the evenings. And there is a huge safety concern at this location in regards to the parking lot! Every time me and my children come to the grocery store people will walk up and knock on the car window begging for money, alcohol, rides or cigarettes. Sometimes they are very persistent and will not talk away until you tell them no several times. This has caused my family to feel very uncomfortable and unsafe to get out of the car at times. However, the deli ladies who work the counter are always so sweet and have great customer service skills. And the pharmacy is usually very quick at getting our prescriptions filled. So I am torn on what to do. But for now until they get the pan handling and begging under control I am going to take my family to the Ross Park Krogers in Beechgrove where its safer to shop.
Gross. Never buy the yogurt, ever! It's always gone bad. I think the fridge is no good. I saw a mouse running across the top of the bread one time. Grossed me out. The meat section sometimes smells like vomit, floors are randomly sticky in places, it is too small for the amount of people that shop here. The women in the deli are always nice, though as well as the staff. The people who work here are super nice and don't deserve to work in those conditions. Their level of professionalism in their jobs is something you would expect from a Kroger in Carmel, Geist or Zionsville, and most of the shoppers are rude to them for no reason. I just adore the lady with the short salt and pepper hair that runs self checkout. She is so helpful and courteous. Big Kroger, if you are listening, build a bigger nicer store for just as much the employees as the shoppers in this area, you would probably get even more business especially from fountain square, beech Grove and the lower mid downtown neighborhood
The store smelled like spoiled milk or meat that hit you as soon as you walked in the door. They have on their website that they are handicap accessible and have wheelchairs on the premise but I got there and they said they had been stolen. The time before that I was there they had 4 wheelchairs so they only had 2. Months later they said the other 2 had been stolen as well. The other Kroger that I shop at is clean but they had 8+ wheelchairs and 6+ had out of order signs on them at the entrance and 1 in the middle of the store and only 1 was working and the guy who was using it said it wasn't working right either. When I called the store he said he had been trying to get them fixed. I have bone Cancer and can't Walk very long so just walking in the store is all the walking I can handle. If for some reason you don't have any working chairs please post it so we can get our food and toiletries. Please fix this issue so we can meet our needs.
Once again changed the due date on an item my girl was trying to get and she calls and tells them that they switched her payments off her check week and they tell her i was rude. Lmao if calling and telling them that they messed up her order again is rude then ig im rude but SHAUN WHO I SPOKE TOO IS THE WORSE STORE MANAGER OR WHOEVER SHE IS IN INDIANA!! NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH RENT A CENTER BUT THIS ONE SPECIFICALLY KEEPS CHANGING PAYMENT DATES....THEY ARE RUNNIN FUNNY BUSINESS AND DONT LIKE BEING CAUGHT ON IT...WAS TOLD I CANT CALL THE STORE ANYMORE BECAUSE I CAUGHT THEY LIL SCAM!!! DONT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION UNTIL SHE IS FIRED!!! SHE DOESN'T DO HER JOB RIGHT. AGREEMENT NAME IS PAIG BAILEY!!!! WE'VE BEEN THROUGH THIS SAME CANCEL AND REORDER PROCESS 3 TIMES NOW BECAUSE THEY KEEO CHANGING THE PAYMENT DATE TO A DATE SHE DOESNT GET PAID ON !!! WATCH WHAT YOU PAY TO THIS LOCATION!! SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY FISHY!!!
Just went in the store for the first time in several years. I can't really say why I stopped going there, but it was getting a little tired looking. Now the place looks up to par. It's been remodeled since I was in there last. The place is clean and the produce is really nice. One thing that hasn't changed are the employees...and that's a good thing. I was always impressed by how friendly everyone is that works there, at least the ones with whom I've come in contact. There is a cashier there, I think her name is Janet, and she is exactly the kind of person any company would be glad to have in contact with the customers. What a peach! For a Monday afternoon the place seemed pretty busy too. Thanks Korger for reinvesting in Twin Aire.
Terrible selection, terrible employees, terrible parking lot! You'd think since it's the closest grocery store to the up and coming trendy fountain square that this Kroger would make some attempt to cater to that crowd. Instead they seem content to stick with the white trash Jerry Springer sect who make up the vast majority of people you'll encounter there. It's the only Kroger I've been treated like a petty criminal. I thought they might press charges when my 7 yr old daughter ALMOST walked out without paying for a vitamin water! I noticed moments after the guard did and boy he was on it! Eff you Twin-Aire Kroger. No such thing as honest fixable mistakes at this one. We don't go there anymore needless to say...
AVOID THIS PLACE. Only go to this grocery store if all hope is lost or maybe if you need like one item. This place smells of cigarettes and despair, not somewhere you want to spend time browsing the isles. Most of the pics associated with this location are NOT from here, they must have searched Kroger and took nice places to shop. I would love to say the workers try their best given the situation but my god they are actually mean. I was next in line at the self check outs, and the attendant was having trouble with one of the machines. You could tell she was frustrated, and she looked at me dead in the eyes and said go away to another lane. I put down my item and walked out. You’ve been warned.
Please explain to me why only Uscan check out is available in the mornings here at this location? I have daily chronic pain, & using the U-scan makes it harder for me & causes even more pain… & unnecessarily so. Please, I don’t want to self check-out, think about the elderly & disabled. & have at least one lane open in the mornings. Thank you! (•Also, & just a suggestion: With the brand new construction going on across the street, as well as the new renovated McDonald’s within your same lot, this Kroger could certainly use an upgrade itself. & you should really consider it. But of course, again, this is just a suggestion… That’s all. But think about it)
Christmas eve I visited the store at 550 PM they to employees were boarding the doors and would let me in told me the registers shut down at 6. They had to get the people out that were in there. They said the lines were extremely long I'm very dissatisfied. With the poor customer service and the amount of disrespect was just shown. And along with the disrespect shown to other customers. These employees wouldn't tell me their names and weren't wearing name tags.. I won't be back. Every other Kroger closed at 6. This place is way to ghetto you need to crack down on your employees
This Kroger use to be a nice itte store to go and shop items you need in a hurry; but since the last manager of coupe of years ago that I don't remember his name but he was always dress in black, the store have going bad, just few days ago I went to purchase some items I need and the Cheddar Cheese I bought was full of fungus, I was surprise when realize that the package was expires months ago and still on the shelfs, I have never seen something like this on a kroger store never.... So if you decide to purchase something on this store you should check before buying!!!
They never have anything in stock their Produce & Deli areas or small they have no liquor section practically compared to other Krogers around the city this one it's probably the smallest I think what pisses me off is with my work schedule that they are not open 24 hours or have late hours like most other Krogers but apparently everything in this neighborhood is like that I am slowly finding out but I will say that everything in there is fresh and I have not had any bad experiences with customer services or food quality.
Worked as security at this location it was okay but not the greatest location to send a completely unarmed guard too. Kroger store management wasn't much help to the guards at this location we were told to do things by Kroger store management that would get us into trouble with our guard company and Kroger corporate office we were TOLD by Kroger store management to chase shoplifters and run off rowdy and drunk and high people COMPLETELY UNARMED which was against guard company policy
I've a 30 plus year customer. Those who carry Humana Visa can understand that every month it's a problem. Items that the store approved and Humana approved is NOT the same from one month to the other and does NOT always pay for those same items month to month? Why? Also, people who abandon groceries for whatever reason tend to sit there refrigerator and freezer items. Are they putting these products back in the cooler and freezer after sitting there and selling them?
The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. There is kind of a limited selection compared to other Kroger stores. If you want to put on your Cookie monster pajama bottoms and go stock up on Ramen noodles and spend your SNAP benefits. it would be the perfect place for it. Sometimes it’s a little hard to get into the store because of the homeless people out front asking for change and cigarettes. At least once I’ve had a homeless person try to climb in the car with me.
I was in the self - checkout lane at this Kroger before closing and witnessed a woman snatch an Oreo out of a baby's hand. I saw the mother show her proof that she had bought them with a receipt and the cashier, Alisha, continued to harass this woman and her baby. I continued to watch and the manager told her to never come back. This was disrespectful and infuriating to watch and I will never be found at this Kroger again!
The War Zone Kroger. The employees are fine, it's the customers that are atrocious. Rude as hell. I want to fight almost every time I visit. By the time I'm done shopping, all I want to do is go home and curl in a ball and dream of a world where there are no such people. They should wipe out the whole plaza with an H-bomb, but then where would the loiterers go ? The one star is cuz they have food.
When I went here today, I bought Mac and cheese Kroger brand. Got home and was starting to make it, was draining the water and found staples in it. This was very dangerous and if it was food for a child and wasn't noticed it could've have hurt them. I was not satisfied with this at all. And probably will not return to this location. And I have pictures to prove it.
I’ve shopped at this Kroger for a year now, never had a problem. Never experienced what I’m seeing in majority of the reviews. Never been hassled, never been disrespected by customers or staff, never experienced a foul odor, ect ect. I shop here twice a week, it’s organized, friendly staff, fresh dairy & produce. Better than further east or downtown.
Went there to get some money off my debt card, if you get 100. It is free, anything over that it will cost you, I think 3 dollars. Which is the going rate. Did a little shopping while I was there, prices not bad, the store has been there for a while now. But it's still a good place to run in and out of. Love the self checkout myself.
Night and day difference from 4 months ago. Previously - parking lot was a mess and an embarrassment to the neighborhood. For the last month it has shown pride in the community and the store was clean and the friendliest and most helpful staff I've encountered at any Kroger. Kudos to the management for being a great neighbor!
I've been trying to call in my prescription for the last hour for someone to pick up and they keep answering and putting me on hold and then hanging up after doing it multiple times. I'm pregnant and have covid so i'm miserable and they could at least answer the phone since I can't go in to have them start getting it ready !
I do enjoy this Kroger … I am 77 and recently move to Indianapolis from very small town… with small grocery store . This Kroger did not overwhelm me like the BIG super stores….and Joan who works the self check out is fabulous… she has taught this old dog new tricks… I can check myself out!!!! Yay me!! Yay Joan!! Yay Kroger!!
Went to Kroger in Twin Aire and as sion as I walked in the door was a horrific odor. I thought maybe once I got in the store the odor would fade or whatever. I put water in my cart the left the cart and walked outside. The smell almost made me puke. The security guard seen me holding my nose as I walked out door. Terrible!
I tried to use my mobile gift card. I proceeded to tell the self checkout out women that my phone has instructions on how to use it that she jus needs to use her computer and scanner . She told me she couldnt do anything off a phone. I never said she had to touch my phone tho she just didn't wanna do her job smh.
This is the closest Kroger to my house. The store and parking lot are both a little on the small side compared to other Krogers. But I'm always in and out quickly. They have been out of my chocolate milk the last few times I've went in there. And their Chocolate milk is the only reason I shop at Kroger.
Called in my prescriptions 2 days ago for refills called again the day after and they were not ready but she said they would be ready by the next day went to the store the next day for them to say only 1 was ready and i needed to wait for the other its crazy will definitely switch pharmacies after today
Everytime I come to this store before 9:40 it always be someone a door not letting people in...... I’m bipolar so I had to pray for my next move so it lead me here...... this is so uncool I being shopping here since in my mother’s womb...... thinking about taking my business somewhere else
Not the nicest Kroger for sure but as far as the employees and store, everything was great. The young man that helped me with my waters at self checkout was amazing. He made my night with his kindness and positive attitude, pleasant to talk to. Better for me to visit during the day.
Love this Kroger's haven't department has helped an made my shopping shop last 40 treat here never have had a bad experience an treated always with respect seen many changes with staff yet also have few that been there many years an about to retire an I'll truly will miss them ever
This store is filthy, the carts have locks on the wheels so if you go there and there busy park directly in front of this location of you will either have to drag the cart or carry everything. Most of the staff is friendly but some of the higher ups are just A[edited for content]s.
For a smaller store in not the best neighborhood, this Kroger really has it together. The staff and management are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. Shelves are constantly being stocked. The Shortridge store could really take a few lessons from this store!
love the way the staff treats my children..every time im in here they let them pick from a candy bowl and give them stickers. Its in a not so good area and a bit dirty (floors and entrance)...but why go anywhere else wen the staff is so great and sweet here.
In and out quickly. Had to ask for directions once inside. The associate babysitting the self-checkout area was polite, helpful, and extremely knowledgable in regards to store layout. My first time in this particular Kroger and I was pleasantly surprised.
The smell when you first walk in is deplorable at best. A few items I specifically went for were either out of stock or they didn't carry. Meat dept. and deli employees were nice and knowledgeable. Cashier could have been a tad more pleasant.
This is a smaller "neighborhood" store and, as such, doesn't have the wide selection of the big superstores. That said, it's great for those "short runs" for groceries! Always CLEAN, very courteous staff, great service! Thank You, to all!
I love this store. It's not the biggest Kroger but it's got everything I need all the time. Very courteous staff and manager. I've lived near this plaza all my life and this Kroger is the best thing that's happened there in a long time.
My Neighborhood Kroger!!! Great service all of the time, go in between 1000 (10a.m.) -1300 (1p.m.) for the best rotisserie chicken, the deli is also pretty amazing as well in between those hours..you can tell them that I sent you! y.
I'm grateful for this Kroger location.. it's the closest one near me. So if I need something quick this is definitely where I go. But not for big shopping trips. Good customer service. Most of the time they're stocked on what I need.
This isn't my main Kroger but I stop in periodically since it's close to work. The store is always clean. It isn't a super huge store so they don't always have a huge selection. I love love that there is a store in the area though!
always running out of products. cashier would not ring up 6 leaf teas as if in a box tried to redeem my coupon 4 previous visit you never had the 6 pack. she could have asked for the special barcode. not happy with today's service
This is an ok store. Well stocked. My only complaint with Kroger stores is that they have only 1 cashier and expect you to use the self checkout. I don't care how long I have to stand in line, I refuse to use the self checkout!
The store does not have a lot of stuff that you are looking for and besides that it is pretty nasty in there would go to the one on South Eastern it is taking Lawn Care of their place this is the one in Twin Aire not so good
The absolute worst most ghetto disgraceful Kroger I have ever been in! They need to demolish this and just start over! If I were Kroger I would be completely embarrassed by this location.. wish I could give negative stars!!!
This location has gotten better over the last few years, usually I can go in there and find what I need, the only reason why this is getting a 4 star rating is because the rest of the strip mall is full of trash and unkept
Smaller store. Good if you need a quick item but wouldn't recommend for weekly shopping. Often dirty and employees more concerned with hanging out. Not all of them. I try to only go here if I know it's in and out
PHARMACY: Very slow presumably because they are understaffed. Was told my prescription would be filled in 15 minutes. Its been about 45 and I'm still waiting. Waiting this long when you're in pain is not fun.
The workers at this Kroger in Twin Aire are so extremely helpful! lines and eyes I really appreciate what they've done for me to help me out finding things. I love the service at this Kroger. Great job guys
Almost everytime I go in there it's a easy walk in and walk out. Super easy tonight what I'm looking for the employees are nice and try to be friendly while dealing with the craziness of the side of town
Okay grocery store with your average selection. Produce is generally fine, but there often tends to be vegetables that are too old. Some items get price cuts with stickers that cover the expiration date.
Kind of unorganized, hectic. It looked as if there was a reorganization going on, though, so maybe that was it. However, I've seen better Krogers. There was a nice variety of selection of food here.
Parking is atrocious, people park in handicap spot without plates or placard, they also park in the blue striped area's that are for wheelchair loading. You need to have those areas patrolled.
Always good experiences every time I shop here! It might be small but its easy to navigate through. You find what you need quickly and easily! Great convenience with the self checkout lanes!
This store has stopped carrying a lot of popular items one would be zest bar soap to many things I use they just stopped. Management needs to pick up there game and put things back in place.
Terrible employees probably mad they can't make a decent living working here. It stinks they never have anything stocked. Wouldn't even let me use my own card I will be contacting corporate
They wouldn't let me in and there's still 20 minutes left until they close and they told me no, they're already closing and that's all I wanted a gift card, that's all I was going to buy
Employees were really helpful and the store was clean. Also 2 for 5 on strawberries and that's a sweet deal. I feel like their produce is always really cheap and it's good quality too.
It's ok to go there for quick stuff although a lot of times they have been out of what I need. If you live towards downtown or on the southeast side it's the only Kroger over that way
Very Clean , Stocked Cashier Very Friendly Girl Very Polite And Wishing Us Well On The Holiday. Guy Who Worked There Ask Us If We Needed Any Assistance Finding Anything . Nice Trip.
Great store. Smells awful at times when u walk in. And I hate being confronted by homeless people for money and cigarettes. Cliff the kart guy is on points though with the carts.
The young man was so very courteous & the young lady that bagged my groceries was absolutely the best that I have ever encountered 30 plus years I have been shopping anywhere
Disgusting and dirty. Smelled bad when I walked in. I was apprehensive about buying any food here that wasn't Packaged or required freshness. trashy people and trashy store
They are always well stocked the cashiers are always friendly and willing to help. I just don't like the set up of the parking lot and other customers can be so rude.
You have posted you close at 10pm. So why do you lock your doors at 9:50pm if it’s posted or advertised you close at 10pm this store closed earlier then it should of.
Awful service. Long waits. I hate this pharmacy. I think I'll switch stores to shop at. I was told to get off of a handicap cart before I was done with it. I refused.
Nice store but am manager is a bit of an ass. Dozed off in the parking lot and was screamed awake being told not to sleep there ! Lol. Nice store but no loafing !
The people who work there are so kind and friendly. Especially the cashier named Joan, and Rick the assistant manager. Would recommend this store to everyone.
Friendly staff, that went out of their way to let me know I had left my wallet in the store, before I could leave the parking lot. I love my Twin Ayre Kroger.
Weird day at Kroger as a woman's purse was stolen but the staff at Kroger was very caring and helped in everyway they could! Thank you for being so kind.
Pretty decent selection and really friendly staff. A little smaller than Krogers out in the burbs but love their specials and it's close to home.
I love the staff. However, they are often out of stock on many items i use often. I wish they could find a solution to this re-ocurring issue.
They are always clean and they have everything in stock that you could want I stopped going to other Kroger's because they are doing so well
The store itself is pretty good... But the way people park is another thing... The local pd could make a killing at issuing citations
Fairly clean, people helpful and nice, and speedy to get everyone checked out.even to open another cash out line. So pretty nice.
Not good, not bad. It's often crowded, and they tend to be out of a lot of items. Usually fairly clean, decent checkout times.
All the employees at this door is very nice and courteous only thing is it's a little crowded sometime but it's worth the wait
I love my Kroger. Everyone is helpful & friendly, from the cashiers to the pharmacist. Been shopping there for over 30 years.
It's a good place to shop for a local market.they don't have as much as the big store's but still a good store...
If I could give it zero Star's I would. This place is a joke. The employees are Rude disrespectful and trashy.
In my opinion they have the best produce for a deal. Also I seen a kid get his v-card taken on the dairy aisle
This is a horrible place to shop at. and some of the people that work in the pharmacy are very rude people.
Nice staff, helpful management best customer service! Always love a place where customers come first!
Prices are good and employees were very helpful. The cashier was great today, very friendly!
The staff is very helpful here, even when they are very busy. Never had a bad experience.
The employees were very helpful and had a very professional lism while checking us out
I go to this kroger all the time and they try their best to keep the shelves stocked.
I love the prices. The store is always clean. They always have what I need in stock.
Friendly people great place for me to shop always Friendly Joan is very professional
They do their best at this store. It is kept clean. The folks there are nice.
They need to keep their dairy products in stock as coffee creamer.
Smaller scale Kroger, staff was nice, found everything I needed
The deli/bakery lady lazy! It’s 1:00 how are you closed?
last was closed due to 'only one person working'. what??
Efficient checkout process, clean and security onsite.
The employees decide they can close early around 9:35
Friendly staff and clean isle's well stocked
Nice store. Friendly staff. Good prices
Great customer service
My favorite
