Lord of KL - I always thought of the famous movie everytime I read this name. Truth be told, the visit to LOKL was quite a long time ago and therefore some dishes might or might not be available anymore. LOKL has been the one of the pioneers of coffee scene along the rejuvenated historic Jalan Tun H.S.Lee but it was one of the last cafes that I'd come to along this stretch of road that is lined up with pre-war buildings. The entire cafe is quite nice and Instagram-able, with a warm & friendly staffs to make your visit welcoming. Overall the ambience in this cafe is nice and they even have an alfresco section for those who don't like cold in the morning. ◾Southern Fried Chicken - buttermilk chicken, mashed potato, onion gravy, apple & walnut slaw. At the request of the meat-loving son who proceed to finish everything on plate, except for the veggie. The chicken meat was moist and tender, covered with a crispy and slightly spicy batter on the outside. ◾Eggs Florentine - have to say that I simply love perfectly poached eggs on top of smoked salmon and smothered with delicious hollandaise sauce. Made my day everytime! ◾Truffle Croque Madame - grilled cheese brioche with smoked chicken & truffle filling, fried egg on top. With such a perfect fried egg with runny yolk on top, it added at least a notch to the dish. ◾Both our long black and flat white hit the spot! As usual, there's no parking spot along this road so the best alternative is to park at a private car park (but it costs a bomb!) Or take LRT and it's just a short walk from Masjid Jamek station.

Came here with the intention to try their big breakfast only to be told that they had stopped serving it at 11.30am. (We just walked in at 11.40). The time written on the menu is so tiny and barely noticeable. The food and drinks we had were a major disappointment. RM12 latte: Very tiny as if it is a piccolo. Taste burnt and the temperature was not right. RM32 pulled beef burger: Nothing special with the bun and fries, the pulled beef amounted to only a tablespoon. Also the beef tasted like leftover from a beef stew. RM 35 for weekly special set: PRAWN salad burger where the prawn is almost nonexistent (add up only 1 piece). The rest are cheap cucumber and abit of celery. Again, tasteless bun and fries. Dessert churros with ORANGE ZEST: Churros seems to have been fried twice or more, tasteless and heavily coated with sugar. And the orange zest? nonexistent. We asked the waiter about the orange zest, whether they had forgotten about it and he insisted that they already sprinkle the orange zest on top of the churros. Zoom and look at the photos for yourselves. Not recommended at all. Not coming back.

Food. Food is tasty and the coffee was good. We had the croque madame, and chicken and waffles. Chicken was crispy and went well decently with the honey, if you like that sort of thing. The croque madam also had decent truffle taste and a decent amount of cheese. Cappuccino was also good. Service. Service was excellent and the staff were friendly. We were seated and given menus quickly upon entering the cafe. Ambience. Ambience was very nice. There is also an open air seating area at the back but no one really sits there as its quite hot and humid in Malaysia. Parking. Parking can be an issue here. You'll need to park at one of the public parking areas nearby. Price. Prices were reasonable but I don't think I'll come here again as the food was nothing spectacular/unique, although they were quite tasty.

Came at 8.30, ordered eggs florentine and breakfast burger. Burger came on time, seemed like they forgot the eggs florentine as patrons that came later than us got their food served at 8.45am while the eggs were served at 8.50. When eggs florentine was served the first time, the eggs were already cooked (video 1) and it came cold. Returned it because the yolk was supposed to flow on the rest of the dish. received the fixed eggs (video 2) at 9am which is basically the same result. did not help that the hollandaise sauce wasn’t good and the salmon needed more curing. The bayam was very sad. Not worth the visit at all.

Visited on Saturday for a brunch. There is a que even thought I am alone. Staff are welcoming, attentive, kind. Bring me a bottle of water after seated. I was arranging seated on the high chair area. Few hot for this section during the sun shine in. Food = Flavors combined. Chicken Waffle = taste good & match well with the fried chicken (the fried chicken was juicy) Nice ambience. Looking for a parking lot are always difficult for this area. Overall, enjoy the food and had a pleasant experience.

It’s been awhile since I last tried a new place. I loved the pancake here, fluffy and just nice and the big breakfast is different as they serve chicken patty instead of sausages. I liked the plating the most as they used epic-old plates and the atmosphere is just so nice, extra nice because it was drizzling when I was here. Song choice was also soothing which I think set the mood to everything being nice . Parking is a bit of a tiff though, we found parking around the block at a min RM13/ 2-hrs. The cappuccino was actually nice, you know you have cappuccino and then you have CAPPUCCINO - this is CAPPUCCINO for me. Most of the folks in this place while I was here I see are westerners and probably tourist so you know it hits the spot. I’d recommend this place for breakfast at a quiet place.

Great place for breakfast. Good coffee. Nice and friendly staff. Ordered the big breakfast and had the chicken version since we don't eat beef or pork. Waiters were nice and service was fast. The atmosphere felt a touch modern and at the time there were no tables available inside apart from ours, but it was still quiet and enjoyable. Breakfast was quite filling but I'll definitely try to save space for dessert next time. The hashbrowns were really good and everything seemed fresh, especially the cherry tomatoes. Coffee tasted fresh and not too bitter.

amazing ambience, suitable for remote working. we had the truffle sandwich and salmon waffle and 10/10 would come back for the truffle sandwich. Amazing combination of texture and flavour! Parking is a bit hard though and open parking nearby only accept cash (rm7 for first hour)

A café with a pleasant atmosphere and very competent staff. Everyone was friendly and we didn't wait too long to be seated. We went at 1pm and it was quieter. The apple crumble was good but a little salty in my opinion, which was unsettling at first, but overall it was a surprising discovery. And the caramel latte was delicious, the only regret being that there wasn't enough ☕️

Went here for the first time and I think i love it already. The cafe was not crowded despite being at the heart of KL and we went on Saturday morning. We parked just in front of the cafe. I loved the big breakfast I ordered, very big portion. The coconut pancake was not to my liking. Would come again, because I think its calm and suitable for lone diner also.

Nice cozy place to chill in the center of the bz KL center. Food is great, Coffee is awesome and I'll super recommend its Coffee Ban Ban. I was here during the Raya holiday, not crowded and really really nice. Highly recommended. You may park at the car parks on the adjacent street.

Massive indoor seating area that is well-lit ✨ food was on point! I like the ambience here. Very cozy and peaceful. A good place to chill with friends and family. Also it's a good place for those who want to do some office work. The staffs are very friendly and welcome you with greetings and smiles. Their services were quite fast and efficient. The price is quite reasonable I would say.

Went here for a private company dinner. I love the ambiance and vibes. Started with a warm appetizing chicken & coriander soup. Main menu was heavenly delectable too. The flat white was amongst the best in KL. I chose creme brûlée as the dessert. Just wow! It was creamy and perfectly torched. Surely will return to enjoy other menu.

It’s been ages since we last came here. Very instagrammable picturesque. Place is very bright and cosy. Staff is ok. Food served quite fast. The food is good just that my truffle croque does not have any truffle taste. So - 1 ⭐️. Portion is also quite small as well. Limited cake selections compared to the previous visits.

The weekly special wasn’t good wouldn’t recommend it. But the rice my friend ordered was pretty decent. Nice environment pretty interior design. Although they don’t have their own parking but the public parking (min RM15) is just walking distance from the cafe.

I thought that there’s going to be a lot of dishes in the menu but not so much actually. A lot of breakfast menus instead of pasta and rice dishes. For me, the menu is quite limited compared to some cafes that I have tried. The ambiance is good overall though. It brings a cosy vibe. The staff are friendly too.

We had a caramel latte, green tea and apple crumble. Dessert and drinks were good, but nothing more. The staff are very welcoming. It's a beautiful place that attracts a lot of people at lunchtime. Prices are higher than elsewhere. 16rm for the Latte for example.

Good food & good coffee! Went back recently, the coffee still top notch. But the swap the muffin bread to waffle for the eggs florentine making it a bit sweet. Tried croque monsieur and it was really good.

No pudo ser mejor !!! El primer café que me tomo en este viaje que sabe a café , o incluso más rico . La tostada estaba como para repetir :) y el brownie … delicioso ! Además las camareras eran súper agradables y muy serviciales . Lo recomiendo :)

Visited without reservation on a Sunday. Staff immediately offered a table and took the order. It can be difficult to find parking. Nice ambience, indoor and outdoor seating available, restrooms were clean too. Coffee was good. Croissant was flaky, jam tasted average. Overall, had a pleasant experience, would visit again to try other dishes.

I had a super food salad for 32 RM. Way too overprized for the size and ingredients of the salad. Basically just greens, barely any salmon and quinoa. For this price I would have expected to not stay hungry. Disappointed.

커피도 음식도 너무 좋았는데 식사를 끝내기가 무섭게 직원이 달려와 접시를 치우는게 좀 불편했어요..ㅋㅋㅋ진짜 마지막 한입 먹고 포크 내려놓기도 전에 저 멀리서 달려와 치워주는데 빨리먹고 나가야될것 같고ㅠㅋㅋ그럼에도 불구하고 다들 친절하십니다.
