Was about to walk to Jao Tim when this cute little cafe caught the corner of my eyes. I walked in without a moment’s hesitation and got a quiet little corner outside the shop. A young Chinese guy (waiter) warmly welcomed me. I parked my bum comfortably and proceeded to order my flat white. When it came, like clockwork, I launched into camera-mode. While typically most people get apprehensive about this, another lady waitress smiled as she allowed me to do my thing despite me blocking the cake counter. Overall great experience. Would have given 5 stars if not for two grievances; the coffee was blistering hot. Guys, as a hipster cafe with a fancy espresso machine, you should understand that milk denatures at ~70 degrees Celsius. So any hotter and the milk proteins start breaking down, hence, tasting bad. Also, when I wanted to pay with my phone (I use ApplePay), the Indian lady at the cashier promptly told me that the terminal doesn’t support it. I insisted it works, then she curtly told me that it will charge the shop extra (erm, ma’am, I work in cybersecurity with payment gateway providers as my client, I know for a fact it works AND does not charge extra), but that’s ok, I wanted to have a peaceful Saturday and not debate. Just isn’t nice to lie to a customer.

Came for breakfast and although the menu said for weekend all items will be available at 8am but when I came, the "chowtime" section was not available, quite unpleasant. Nevertheless, we ordered 1) Mingle beef big breakfast If any, I recommend to try this dish. Delicious and they are not kidding when they say it's a big breakfast, can easily feed two people. They too use kewpies' salad dressing as I found many other cafes do, because it is just simply perfect. If u don't eat beef, there's also chicken version of the same. A bit too much of the cheese factor though. 7.5/10 for this dish 2) Breakfast beef sandwich The bread is too dry and hard. The sandwich itself is also dry and the shimeji mushroom is definitely not a good combination to put here, maybe a diff type of mushroom but not shimeji. 3/10 for this dish. 3) Lemongrass kombucha Okay this drink is very nice, I think they buy from another vendor 10/10 4) Ever green tea No complain, 10/10 5) Latte Took latte for take away and it's good! Very light 10/10 The staffs were a tad bit unfriendly.

It's the first time I'm patronizing the cafe & unfortunately doesn't give me a pleasant experience with the food I ordered a vegan burger & another order of non vegan burger too. The vegan patty is so mushy and dry. Looks so pathetic with only the patty & tomato. Not even any greens! It's like simply reheat the food and serve out. However, it's not even crowded when we had our order. Not only mine, the other salted egg burger had similar issues too. It's dry, no greens & it's like a reheat patty. Fries aplenty though. Normal frozen type I reckon. Won't recommend the food as it gave me such unpleasant experience. Dared not order the cakes as it looks dry too! Mango lassi is ok. My passion fruit kombucha is fermented type. Thought they had apple cider vinegar in it. Not my taste. Ambience is good. Rustic and staffs are friendly & helpful. Parking will be harder as it's in the KL Chinatown area. Heavy traffic.

Enjoyed my time here. Duduk dekat sini hampir sejam sambil borak borak dengan kawan. Datang kedai ni, mula mula masuk tu kat depan ada banyak pokok hiasan estetik estetik gitu. Pastu kat pintu masuk ada display kek. Paling wow rasa tadi bila nampak ada kek cempedak madu basque burnt cheesecake. Wonder jugak rasa dia apa, tapi tak beli pun. Every corner is instagrammable dan babyak jugak disediakan plag. So lepas berjalan kat KL seharian tu, bolehlah tumpang cas telefon sebelum sambung berjalan lepas makan. Kedai bersih, staff semua friendly dan very helpful from A to Z. Staff pun nampak kemas je. Order matha latte dengan original basque burnt cheesecake. Matcha latte tak manis sangat, dan tak pahit/tawar sangat. Untuk orang yang sukakan air manis, mungkin tak berapa suka air ni. Tapi saya jenis makan minum je semua, so okay lah. Original basque burnt cheesecake pun lembuuut sangat dan rasa dia just nice. Tak manis sangat, dan tak tawar sangat. 5 bintang! Apa apapun, kafe ini memang wajar dicuba oleh semua. [Nov 2023] One of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had. Seems like most of the reviews are outdated. 1. The food was overpriced for the quality 2. The hospitality was stone cold Did not appreciate the unfriendly gesture as though I’m an alien when ordering. Moving onto the food… Ordered carbonara. It’s nothing special for RM30 without tax. The tomatoes were not fresh and very soggy. Chicken wasn’t the freshest either. Although the flavouring is manageable, the entire dish didn’t have a good blend. The fusion style did not match and abit oily. The matcha is the assumption it came from Niko Neko, but it’s overdone to be too sweet. RM15 for that is decent for the size but it’s not worth it. The environment is the typical rustic vibes but like any cafe, the seating is not generally that comfortable. Definitely don’t feel like I belonged here as a customer. Not returning.

As an American living in KL, I was next door and I wanted green onion pancake at the halal noodle spot but sadly the dude making the pancakes have no fks and went on a forever break as boss lady put it and was nowhere to be found so I didn’t get my green onion pancake. Complete utter bs. So I wanted some cheesecake and went across the street to mingle cafe where it’s a cute lil spot with nice decor. Cheesecake was kinda warm as I would’ve liked it to be colder but it is what it is. The service was nice as they serve you free water and have nice pastries. I’d check them out if ur in the neighborhood and need a nice place to vibe out with aircon and having a bad day cuz ur favorite restaurant didn’t have your food. Anyways hope that helps. After lunch, we walk along Jalan Sultan looking for a cafe for coffee. The front entrance was decorated with lots of plants and inside the cafe was a mixed feelings like we are in old cafe with decors old collections. Some cafes I visited also does that type of decors but I am more interested in coffee as I read from reviews it was great. A very polite waiter named ‘Ghana’ took our orders and my friend wanted Picola latte and he mentioned it was a small Chinese teacup so he recommended rose latte (came a slightly bigger Chinese teacup) which is unique way of serving latte . Guess must be Chinatown feel. When I told him I like a strong black coffee, he ask if I want to add extra shot of $2.50. The coffee was great and strong. Thanks to him that we enjoyed our coffee time.

We came by train to Petaling Street as parking is ludicrous. Looking for a chill hangout spot after heavy lunch. The ambience was relaxing and not noisy unlike other cafes in the area. We tried their "Cempadak Cheesecake" (picture shows its quarter-way eaten. My bad) & it was surprisingly delicious. Drinks here felt average (flat white, passionfruit soda, lemon ice tea, etc), nothing to scream about. Staff were somewhat friendly? Looked exhausted and we only saw 2 staff on duty trying to attend everyone (the place was a little crowded). Overall, no regrets. We enjoyed ourselves. We might come back to try their lunch menu. Who knows?

Pros: - nice ambience - main course are around 3/5 rate - quite bland especially for western / fushion meals. can get better taste at mid - the indian guy service's was pretty good and the other girl (server) also - free lemonade or lemon tea for first purchase cons: -the barista (girl) was grumpy... others left us hanging for later desserts and got annoyed when she had to serve us since they didn't have enough servers working there - cakes were tooo overpriced for the mid - texture and taste. wouldn't have any problem if they were good.. need improvements for sure - drinks were too sweet i guess... - got scammed for 'free refill' since they mentioned it but upon check out they charged. anyways its alright, i appreciate the free drinks.its just that they shouldnt have mentioned it

We love Timothy. We heard good things about Mingle Cafe. We were surprised to be able to get a table on dinner time. We were welcomed by ever ready to mingle crew that make this place a great place to hangout. Definitely a gem! Unfortunately the mains are a let down. Salted egg pasta doest really taste salted egg (more like tumeric) and the bolognese hurm....tasted not good even for my 10yo kid knows it. The chicken it's crispy alright....but might need to be smash to tenderize it The artisan coffee? Is just average....not really sure what happened. But the cake, that orange burnt cheesecake is dabomb! I think this echoes with all the comment by others for the cake and dessert.

Visit time: Dec 2020 ⚠️ (Halal) . . Quaint cafe in the midst of the bustling KL city centre. A good place to chill and hang with friends or to ber-dating. . . We had brunch food for lunch - because we were there during lunch hours. From the classic Big Breakfast, to Aglio Olio Spaghetti, Salted Egg Spaghetti, and kombucha for drinks, their food did not disappoint! (The Big Breakfast is really BIG - le friend was unable to finished it ) . . Chill afternoon to mingle with friends, in a rustic/vintage looking shop house in the middle of KL. This place is worth checking out! Walk to Petaling Street after or before meals to enjoy the city more! . . Worth? ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service? Price?

Try their drinks Flat White, Pittolo Latte and Americano. Dessert Original Burnt Cheesecake and Carrot Zucchini. Drinks is alright, kinda on the light side. The dessert was good. The Original Burnt Cheesecake is kinda light thou unexpectedly compare to others. Is like between Light Cheesecake and Cheesecake that I had try in other places. The environment is comfortable and nice. Services is bit on the downside, the guy waiter that serve us seems kinda sleepy and sloppy. Pricing is on the high side. Worth to try and will be back but once on a while kinda thing.

Crazy prices, below average quality and the staff need training in how to politely serve customers. My hot chocolate was average at best. The menu doesn't include the tax so be prepared to lay out even more money. I was going to buy a cake but the girl serving was so disinterested, completely ignoring me half way through my order to talk to her friend , that I decided not to bother giving them more money. Also, who serves hot drinks in a cup with basically no handle?

The vibes are good, I like their music taste and also it is not as crowded as the café besides. It is a little bit pricey as it is located in a tourist area. I ordered spaghetti but the spaghetti should have cooked for a longer time (it is a little bit hard to chew... ) My friend ordered the burger,it is good and the portion is big for a small-eater. It is a good place to have catch-up with friends.

Came here with a friend expecting decent cafe food with decent price but despite the price, the food was just horrible im sorry. I ordered salted egg yolk pasta with grilled chicken while my friend ordered their chicken burger. My pasta was dry and had no taste whatsoever and was spicy for some reason…?, the chicken was alright but it was still tough to chew on. My friend’s chicken on the other hand was incredibly tough to eat. Coconut latte was fire tho

Finally I came to this Mingle Restaurant long after I saved this insta worthy cafe in my want to go list. It is situated nearby the crowded Petaling Street area. I love it just because I am always drawn by those places with a lot of plants. Of course i love the ambient here and it is cozy especially it is air conditioned after a long walk under the hot sun. The lemon grass kombucha is nice. So as the basil pesto spagetti. Saw some interesting pastry like durian and cempedak burnt cheese cake...wow...must try next time.

A relaxed cafe , great spot to unwind in chinatown. Love the decor, the staff is friendly and the food is good. The tomato an aubergine sandwich was absolutely delicious and a must try . However you can give the lemon tart a miss as it has only a hint of lemon (more lemon curd would make it better). The coffee is good . A bit over priced, but then this is chinatown , very touristy so all in all worth coming back to .

A good cafe to chill and work or even hanging out with friends. A vintage old aesthetic interior with really pretty hanged centerpiece above the cashier and bar area. My usual go to is their hot latte and burnt cheesecake. Their coffee is great taste like arabica. The cakes is great as it doesn’t really make you feel “muak” easily like other cheesecakes. Overall I tend to find myself keep going to back for the cakes and coffee. Would recommend for a tea time at this cafe

Went there for their iftar set which was affordable and quite tasty. I got the Nasi Ulam. The food was tasty but the serving size could be better. The iftar set comes with a choice of dessert and I made the right choice by getting the sticky date pudding. It was toffee-nutty, moist and served in a bath of coconut milk which balances out the sweetness. The pandan cake slice was ok. Coffee was decent. Would come again to try out more from their menu.

I had breakfast with my husband in this cafe on yesterday morning. We ordered a granola yogurt bowl which cost us RM16. I really got a shock when it is served. It is served in a tiny bowl, small portion of yogurt and very little granola, without any fruits and seeds. It is totally over priced. Felt so cheated. We will not come to this cafe anymore. Strongly do not recommend people to go or at least do not order the granola bowl.

Quaint little shop. Friend recommended to come by for dessert but they have other things as well. I may just come and try it. We shared the chocolate hazelnut cake which was so rich and yummy. I like places that have a classic homely feel,everything look so humble it’s nice..haven’t tried anything heavy on the menu but came here for coffee! Ordered the rose latte;super yummy! Their biscoff burnt cheesecake was love at first bite ! This month special it says. Also ordered the chocolate caramel tart ! A tat too sweet! I park at kompleks selangor, about rm4.50/hr and walking distance to Mingle. Rose Latte (rm15); i find it too sweet but i like the cup. Sambal Fries (rm14); i feel its more curry than sambal. Taste of dipping sauce reminds me of when my mom use lizar brand paste to cook curry. Fries texture crispy i like.

Great ambience and aesthetic look/design. The naming of their food&beverages are unique, I have to ask the staffs before ordering. Been here on a weekday's late morning. Very quiet (no other customers) and the staffs are not talking a lot too. Highly recommended workplace as Wifi not lagging and plug-in is easily available. A downside for me: it's slightly overpriced. Ordered the fragrant concubine and it costs RM18 but neither it tastes exceptionally good nor the portion is generous.

The ambience and concept were pretty cool, the menu is creative and funny. But the food were very bland. The salted egg chicken and the salted egg chicken pasta’s sauce tasted weird, chicken was crispy but it was not tasty at all. Chicken mozzarella was not cooked thoroughly. Bangers and mash was pretty alright. Calamari salad was beyond chewy and rubbery but the mushrooms in it were pretty tasty. The hainanese toast was so so. Quite a waste they have good vibes but not good food.

Great environment, clean and instagram certified. Staffs are polite and attentive. Food wise is kinda average, both big breakfast and carbonara pasta were having too much garlic (rather thick cuts). It’s just too overpowering for me, the rice was okay though. Coffee pretty nice, having some flowery taste to it. Cup is beautiful as well. Overall, nice place to dine-in for family and friends gathering.

The ambience and environment was good - but, I have 2 grievances mainly. Firstly, the staff could be more welcoming. The person who took our order seemed to apathetic to our questions. Most importantly, the food really needs to keep up with the price. Albeit, it was our first time here - We ordered the big breakfast which was the most expensive food on the menu - but I didn't feel like it was worth the price. On the plus side, the food presentation was fairly decent.

Saya memesan Aglio olio cili padi dengan chop ayam panggang dan ia agak baik. Aglio olio cili padi benar-benar padat tetapi chop ayam panggang agak terlalu panggang. Masih hidangan yang baik sebaliknya dan secara keseluruhan suasana yang bagus :)

Located at the heart of KL city. Although it has good ambiance and a nice place to hangout, the food taste and quantity doesn’t add up with the overall cost. This chocolate chip muffin and piccolo late cost rm 27. Please change the brand of chocolate chips used in muffins, it tastes terrible. Dont mind paying more, but honestly it lacks quality and quantity. Good ambiance with unpleasant food. Will not repeat again.

The ambience is pretty chill, the food is average, and the price is average. The salted egg pasta with chicken has ups and downs, the sauce and the chicken was delicious but the spaghetti noodle is like al dente, undercooked because the noodles feels like soften sticks which was not appetising. The Nasi Ulam daging rendang was okay, they got the fragrance but the meat is a bit rough to bite into.

Overall dine in experience is great. Great place to catch up with friends. Food potion just nice for 2 person. Food presentation as per shared photos. Most enjoyable are the Othmantus Latte, light, slightly creamy and not too sweet. Comfort food to enjoy for the weekend.

Nice little spot for lunch and dessert. What makes this cafe special is that they bake their cheesecakes in house in an open concept kitchen. We actually spoke to the baker as she whisk her batter into the pan. How nice is that! We loved their cempedak and durian cheesecake as well as the lemon tart too.

Cake and drinks is good. But food little bit need improvement. Plating is good but taste little bit salty. The fried chicken also little bit hard to chew. But yes cake is really nice. Honey lemon is nice and yummy. Will be nice if they add more choices of drinks also specially in this hot weather cold drink is good.

Stopped by this refurbished cafe unplanned in the afternoon. It's rugged and romantic in one place. Pleasant to read a book here with the family. Its standard menu can be more creative with more choices of healthy snacks, perhaps with some local touch.

I really really really love the salted egg spaghetti with chicken chop ! I come back after eating for the first time just for that.! Easy parking, very near to petaling street, price okay la so-so worthy with the food. But there is one thing. No snacking foods like fries, nachos or others for light one.

A delightful cafe with unique local fusion decoration. Service crews were polite and courteous. A lunch set of egg york spaghetti and honey lemon cost Rm20. Price is bearable however taste is average and portion is very small. Else would have rated it a 4 stars. The 3 stars is a tribute to it's ambient.

Purposely come and try the cake. Cake is very nice, texture is very smooth, love the lemon tart very much. Thought it will be deep sour in the beginning, but when take the first spoon, the flavor just nice. Would try again next time.

Nice decor and old school environment atmosphere. However, the food is too salty overall and not that fresh. Ordered pull beef burger but the beef smell is too strong and guessing it has been stored for awhile. Salted egg fried chicken sauce has been diluted.

Kafe menyajikan makanan yang lazat dan pelbagai minuman. Hiasan sekolah lama yang bagus dan persekitarannya sangat tenang. Nasi kerabu was decent. Burger petai adalah ringan dan sedap. Menu fusion boleh didapati di sini.
