Worst customer service I have come in cross so far. I bought lumber at store 2 months ago and requested delivery from them and they did delivery with flat bad truck which it's not properly for lumber delivery and without caring the property protection dropped lumber by dumping on driveway like dumping gravel and they damaged exterior stucco. They didn't even call to apologize but as always I told them to fix the problem and now it's almost more than 2 months and they are not following unless I have to scream to them. Frank the owner he's taking care of his business but not taking care of customer frustration. I am following up the problem because Frank wake up only when I am crying. You can buy lumber on store but please don't request delivery because they are worst. I haven't seen any lumber supplier to delivery lumber with flat bad truck. Still waiting to fix the problem but I never heard from the owner to apologize for this inconvenience. I would never recommend this guy.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED We decided to build a bed from scratch and came to make some inquiries before purchasing over $800 in wood for a DIY project. Was treated extremely poorly as we were inspecting a couple of pieces that were damaged (and overpriced if I may add) He said not to touch his lumber and mess it up. I asked him to keep his voice down and just speak to us normally and he continued to yell. I honestly have never been treated so poorly by a customer service representative in my life. I wish I could give this place 0 stars because I'm actually in shock with the attitude from this man. Will never return here and I recommend you don't either.
Went here expecting prices to be fairly consistent amongst the big box stores. Wanted to support a smaller business and in total spent about $5k on wood. When I went through the receipts at home I found they were consistently 15% more expensive than the big orange store. Definitely my fault for not checking, but it's pretty frustrating and too late in the game to return it all. Even the best customer service doesn't make good for getting screwed at the checkout. Buyer beware I guess.
I see the owner Frank, every morning when I walk my doggo Bella at 05h45 and he's always been very friendly. I needed to replace a bolt to secure the handle for my pot lid, and both Frank and his employee Chris told me to come by on Friday afternoon and they'd assist me finding what I needed. Super friendly, very efficient, and always pleasant to speak with.
Very knowledgeable staff. They carry many items you would expect in a Home Hardware store PLUS EXTRAS++...bins of loose nails etc sold by weight, will also cut your hardwood/lumber purchases at a small charge per cut. They have construction materials, sand, gravel, stones etc. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Nice, a hidden lumber & Hardware store one of the best little kept secrets in Etobicoke don’t know how many people know it’s there kind of out of the way off the main drag with plenty of parking and good quality lumber and supplies. Loved it. Older gentleman most knowledgeable for all your hardware needs.
This is a relatively different type of hardware store because they are also a lumber yard with sand and gravel and other elements for your Landscaping needs. They are extremely helpful and have been known to order in something that Home Hardware carries but they don't necessarily stock in their store.
Selection is somewhat limited BUT they know their stuff and can get you what you need. They were super helpful during our reno - we had to source some obscure hardware. It wasn’t in store but Dave had no problem finding from one of his suppliers and ordering in for us.
This is certainly the best hardware store in south Etobicoke. They know how to treat people right. Picking up lumber is a breeze as the yard guys know their job and don't hide when their needed. The delivery drivers are super friendly too.
I'm over 50 and I have been going to this place since I was a kid with my father. It was my main place for supplies when I worked for the C of T and still doesn't disappoint. I live in Peterborough now and Lakeshore Lumber was the only
Avoid this place, old grandpa that sits at the customer service desk with a voice that sounds like a old rusted muffler with holes, will try to steal your money when you will be returning stuff. He will count all your stuff, but every
I will rate Lakeshore Lumber full-pop 5 Stars. I used to work at Lakeshore starting when I was a kid some 49 years ago. It was a perfect summer job that lasted 8 summers. I could handle anything outdoors. I drove the trucks for
Good local shop and all the lumber is stored outdoors which is great. Unfortunately one of the guys at the lumber desk will make it one of the worst customer experiences you will ever have. Rude is an understatement.
Local family run hardware store and knowable friendly assistance closed on Sundays and 3pm on Saturday. They understand that life is about living and working in balance with the other. Work to live not live to work.
Went here to grab a drill bit, they have a ton of options. This store is great but it is a bit expensive compared to big box stores but the quality may also be better. I’m not a good judge of drill bits.
Nice little hardware store, well laid out, and easy to find items. I purchased some hooks here for hanging pictures/mirrors. Found what I needed pretty quickly. Parking is available, but limited spots.
Some of the staff is nice, some is not. Seems like if certain people have a bad day, they may take it out on you indirectly. I have a patient and kind personality and im probably not coming back here.
what a hidden gem right by our home. clean and well organized. they seem to have everything including some good looking lumber. this is going to be my go to hardware store. what a find!!!
Excellent selection of lumber. Knowledgeable staff advised on best stock pieces for some maintenance jobs. Nice quality cedar - clear and well looked after (pieces I got were under tarps)
Great local hardware/lumber store. Very friendly and helpful staff. May pay a bit more but worth the convenience. East to pick up lumber with drive through area and staff help to load.
Received great service from Dave. He had some good honest advice for me and made me feel comfortable as a woman in the store. I would recommend this location for their great service!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, RUDE EMPLOYEES AND EXPENSIVE LOW QUALITY LUMBER Tried to inform the manager that his employees swearing at me and he back them up
Staff and owner’s son are rude and didn’t want to serve me after I asked them to open a new packet for fresh material.
So helpful folk. I womansplained my needs n they understood n took me right to my options.
Best little gem in south Etobicoke, find just about everything you need to fix your home.
Good location, but didn't have what I was looking for. (Biscuit joints various sizes)
Not enough staff and its not great for buying on a budget. However nice selection
I had good time shopping here. Very professional and understanding
Expert advice and great prices, always happy shopping here
