Worst medical centre I have ever been too. For four years I was diagnosed with Viruses, while living with intense pain (that I had told the GP about numerous times). They decided that the pain was in my head and I should take panadol and rest, which was worrying as kept prescribing me to take panadol which is obviously not healthy to be taking so often. It wasn’t until I went to another medical specialist that I was diagnosed with Lactose Intolerance and Intestinal Permeability (meaning my intestines where constantly releasing toxins into my blood stream and not allowing me to get the nutrients. On top of that my stomach was also over producing acid which meant that my stomach lining was badly damaged. Evidently this is much worse than a simple virus. This started in 2013 and it wasn’t until 2016 that I was able to get properly diagnosed. And now today I come to you asking for a service which over the phone you told me would be fine to do as well as a previous doctor also telling me I was fine to have done, to now when I have been told in the appointment that I can’t have it, so thank you for wasting my time. But also you tell me that my pain and suffering with leaky gut and severe lactose intolerance and milk allergies doesn’t exist. Well maybe open up a book and read about it because it is totally disrespectful of you to say that all my pain and suffering was simply in my head and that all the hard work I have put in to help myself get as better as possible was all made up. So I will definitely never ever come back to such disrespectful, rude and uneducated GP’s. Also alongside these issues there is a major wait time issue that leaves people waiting for over 2 hours to see a GP which ultimately will give them some half witted advice you could search on google. I am also appalled at the unprofessional nature of the staff as one day I had called up to book for an appointment when the receptionist started to complain about the customers to me (a customer!!) So no, I will never come back here for medical advice and I hope no one ever does because they will not get an educated answer to their medical worries.
I went there few days ago for physio called Brittany. Man the worst physio I've seen. Smiled and talks well covering the lack of skills. It was consultation first visit that has scarred me for life. She examined my lower back pain pressing all around my spine and causing more soreness and pain in areas I did not have pain at all and it lasted for days. I specifically mentioned to her that my skin is sensitive and she needs to be careful but that's not what happened. All that pressure in examining my upper back lead me to feel I might need a chiro or other treatments for this new pain that was caused near mid spinal area muscles. I actually went to resolve my old lower back pain but I went home with new pain and old one that lasted for days. The way she examined me was also not done correctly in identifying my issue. I took another appt with a better physio in the city and she knew what she was doing. She stretched my body in right ways to check the source of my problem and treat me. 1 visit and I'm already feeling so much better. On top the receptionist was not at all friendly. We felt so unconfortable. Please change your physio and receptionist lady. This won't last long otherwise.
Went to this clinic for a second opinion, saw Dr Anita. Never will I go back to this clinic again. Dr Anita is gruff, rude, dimnissive and has no bedside manner. As a Nurse, I was appalled by her behaviour. Upon going through my medical history, she said "I am not prescribing you Endone", at NO stage did I ask her for this. I was in significant pain and upon performing a test on me, she could see I was in agony, on the verge of tears. After the test was completed, I then asked her for a script for Mersyndol for the pain, to which she replied NO. She said go back to your regular GP, I explained to her that he was away, again she said she would not prescribe me any pain relief. It is worth noting that Panadol or Nurofen do very little with the sort of pain I was in. I did not like the assumption she was implying. I left there in terrible pain and quite pissed off. I was utterly disgusted by her behaviour, attitude and the assumption I was there to obtain hard drugs. I will never attend this clinic again and I will discourage anyone I know not to go there either. Dr Anita really needs a lesson in bedside manner and how to be NICE to patients ! Disgusting.
I’ve just had the most unpleasant experience with my regular GP. The clinic requested an appointment after just days ago having been released from hospital after a stroke and carotid artery surgery. After waiting in reception for 45 minutes I get a call from Dr Nava to do a Telehealth appointment after booking face to face. Once entering his consulting room he asked how can I help you. Nothing about how are you or any normal expected communication. He was more interested in spending inordinate amount of time consulting his computer and telling me I was on the wrong medication for blood thinning when my surgeon had organised things properly. All this time I’m thinking am I in a bad dream. Finally after much back and forth and with me thinking I’m going to have another stroke I just get up and tell the doctor I’m leaving and walk out. I subsequently confirm with my surgeon that I’m on the correct medication. My consultation with Dr Nava was a horrible traumatic and totally unnecessary experience
My mum went to Lakeside medical tonight at 6pm because she had bumped her elbow really hard and it looked like the bone was sticking out. Lakeside medical is the closest doctors to our house and mum went there because it meant she wouldn't have to drive far with her sore elbow. There were no other patients in the waiting room and mum explained what had happened to the receptionist. She told the receptionist she just wanted the doctor to have a look at it and tell her whether she needed to go to hospital or not. The receptionist looked bored and unhappy and asked for mums medicare card. Mum gave it to her and she looked at it and said that because she was a new patient she would have to pay a fee. Mum asked how much and she said $95.00. Mum said she wasn't paying that and walked out. Lakeside Medical is not a place that I would recommend to anyone, if the receptionist is any indication of the rest of the staff then it is an uncaring, cold, money hungry place that we will never enter again.
Had some tests done with one of the doctors and was told to to book a Telehealth for the results in a weeks time which I did. Once that appointment came around I was told that my results hasn't come back yet so I asked if I should book another appointment the following week to hear them in which I was told not to and I would just receive a call to hear my results once she had them. I then receive a text almost a week later that my results were in and I needed to book a Telehealth appointment. I then went to do that and my doctor was fully booked for the week and I have to wait 2 days to get my results from a different doctor. I am really disappointed as I was patiently waiting for this call and was told not to book one and now will be waiting over 2 weeks and don't even get to hear my results from my doctor unless I wanted to wait another week.
Dr Chand is an excellent doctor, with a lovely manner. I have always found the receptionists very helpful despite the fact they are usually extremely busy. I have also seen other Doctors, all of whom I would also highly recommend. Everyone at this practice has always shown a great deal of care to my family and me. There are days where chaos takes place and sometimes you may need to wait a little longer, it is understandable because the clinic offers a specialised service and they do their very best to accommodate everyone. I highly recommend the clinic and have referred family/friends who are also very happy. Keep up the great work! Thomas Family
got an appointment for flue shot waited for a month and arrived at clinic waited 45min more than my appointment time at an empty clinic and after all of thta they said they dont have the vaccine. went the next door pharmacy and the reception said that the pharmacy has told the clinic for 3 days that they dont have vaccine and the clinic keep sending the people to buy a vaccine that the clinic knows is not available rude owner and reception and doctors with poor English.
Not recommended to come here. Waiting time is ridiculous, they can't manage time well. My husband has booked 3 weeks beforehand (to see a doctor you have to book far far away before) and got a schedule but then every time he arrives, there always is about minimum 45 minutes waiting time. Like .. ALWAYS. If you have got too many patients for the day, don't just squeezing people in making other miserable have to wait because of your miscounting.
Went here a long time ago and it was always a great place. However today I went in to get some answers, receptionist was kind enough but once I was in the room with the doctor... He had as little idea as I did about what my issue was. And basically blankly stared at me until I decided to leave. Google was more helpful. Did I mention they charged me $140 just for some bloke to stare at me for 3 minutes? Pathetic
Myself and my family have been attending this clinic since it first opened, some doctors and staff have changed, but have never had a problem with medical diagnoses, it is harder to get an appointment but surely that shows they are sought after doctors, my only complaint would be the more recent receptionists could take a lesson from the long time lady in customer service, but overall a great clinic.
Been going here for years and was always happy withbreceptiom and doctors but went in today on time for my appointment and had to sit waiting for 45mins. Eventually went in, gp was ridiculously slow, no idea how to use a PC. They used to bulk bill, no sign to tell me they now charge and no discussion from doctor. Got hit for $140. They have now turned into a money printing factory
Is receptionist Gaby the owner? She is very unfriendly and abrupt she acted like we’re wasting her time so we asked to speak to a manager about her conduct to which she said we can talk to her! It is absolutely unacceptable to treat patients this way. Anyway we found a lovely bulk bill clinic in Chirnside with amazingly friendly receptionist ! Bye Gabs and Lakeside
Was great but has gone downhill the past 3 or so years. Cons: You cannot book online outside of opening hours, and if you ring and leave a message they never get back to you. Will be returning to Lilydale Medical or another clinic in the area. Pros: Nurse is friendly and same with the blood test nurse. My GP is good too. Clean but could do with a makeover.
Dr Dhar was so abrupt and rude. She was so abrupt. My daughter needed another script as she has anxiety and depression and dr Dhar refused as she said it was already filled. My daughter was in tears if she doesn’t take her medication she feels dizzy and her depression and anxiety is made even worse. We are happy with the clinic just not this doctor.
Very disappointed. Demonstrated a lack of consideration and individual care for patients. Waited 40 minutes after my appointment time to see a doctor. Then told by doctor and receptionist that they are not able to email blood test results to patients. Backward thinking and not interested in looking after their patients.
I have been a patient at Lilydale clinic for some years now and the reception staff are always kind and welcoming. They help with whatever you need and are patient in answering questions about different subjects. The doctors are lovely, caring and take time to know what you need. Always pleased with their service
Never have I experienced reception staff to be so rude and dismissive! Both of them!! One of them is either def or just ignored me standing there for ages the other one frightened me with her unfriendly almost angry look! Time to move our family to another clinic! Disgraceful customer service! Wouldn’t recommend.
A very well run surgery the girls on front desk always greet you with a smile and the nurses are so caring in what they do from elderly patients to wee babies i know my doctor is very popular so i expect to wait for her but it is very worth it i have so much respect to all the doctors at this clinic.
Second time I have had to wait for over an hour ,when I complained ,I was straight in to see a doctor ,people where coming in and being seen with in ten minutes , why make an appointment an then wait 1 hour. The two girls on reception have very poor customer service . They need a real Shake up
Absolutely woeful medical clinic Drs within the practice give conflicting information and now I’ve found a great doctor elsewhere they charged me to have my own medical records transferred I will never go back and strongly suggest you don’t start going here if you haven’t already been before
Dr Chand is very thorough and helpful. I have been seeing her for years and she always goes above and beyond. Its always nice to pop in here and have a friendly chat to the receptionists, they always remember you and keep you up to date if the doctors are running late.
Absolutely horrific Five times the doctor told me that I was going to be called over a couple of months not once did he call and not once can you speak to anybody about getting that problem rectified Possibly be better off going to a veterinary clinic
Always a long wait 45 mins at least to nearly 2 hours once!!! Really hard with small kids. Reception could let you know upon arrival that there is a wait but dont. Shame as Dr there is awesome but will be changing back to my old GP.
If you like waiting an hour for your ‘first thing in the morning’ appointment. Look no further than this establishment. Horrendous time management and incompetent receptionists make this a place to avoid.
I find the doctors here overall very good but the reception staff are rude, abrupt and generally very unfriendly. As the first point of contact these women leave a bad first and last impression.
I have found this clinic to be wonderful in the past but just recently when calling to ask for an appointment they just dismissed me with a “sorry we are fully booked” & nothing else offered :(
Myles the dentist is so lovely and patient! Thank you to yourself and Jackie for such wonderful customer service and keeping me at ease with my dental work. Fantastic dentist.
Great clinic and location. Doctor Chand is very thorough and listens to my concerns. Nurses are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this medical centre.
Wasn’t even able to get an appointment, they never even answered the phone, what “great” service.
